Portege R700 Toshiba Wireless Manager

Hi, I'm having a LOT of problems with my 3G connection via the Toshiba Wireless Manager. I have Windows 7 and version of the Wireless Manager program is CXP-901-4396/41 R3M03.
The main problems are:
-connection is failing all the time: it is connected, 5 minutes after it disconnects, and I have to log in again. Sometimes, I need to restart to be able to reconnect
-very often, when you are connected, the BLUE SCREEN appears. crash the computer!

This only happens when the Wireless Manager is connected. Without it, the PC work 100%!

Help, please.

SPM

Hey,.

I Don t Portege R700 in front of me but it's perhaps useful to s when you reinstall the Wireless Manager driver and 3 G. Before doing this, check if the latest version is available on the Web from Toshiba site, otherwise try to reinstall the same drivers.

I hope it works :)

by mistake I deleted connections used by the 3G device to connect broadband.

The laptop is a Toshiba Portege M780 10 G, 3G is an Ericrsson F3607gw and the operating system is Windows 7 Professional 32 bit.

I tried to reinstall Toshiba Wireless Manager and the device 3G driver.

Please, can you tell how to solve my problem?

    Thank you

To be honest I don t understand how you could remove connections to broadband?
However, you should check first if the 3G device is recognized in Device Manager correctly.
If it is not recognized, this would require a 3G driver installation.

    Hello

As far as I know to create a new profile.
Then you could add the APN, user name, password and authentication protocol
But my knowledge in most of the cases, the SIM card is detected automatically and no manual work is required. If you do not need to choose the authentication protocol

  • Satellite Pro S300: modem 3G & Toshiba Wireless Manager Update

I received through Toshiba Tempro an update for my Toshiba Satellite Pro S300 (W7 32-bit) for a 3 G modem and Toshiba Wireless Manager.
After the State Manager is installed, there is not such a modem.

This laptos has a build-in modem, where can I put a SIM card in?
Otherwise how to install a SIM card in this laptop to have internet access anywhere where I'm going?

    Hello

TEMPRO shows a downloaded driver information!
The point is that laptops are equipped with different hardware components and not all models support the same hardware specification.
Maybe your S300 has not been equipped with 3G modem but other S300 support 3G.

However, you can check device manager if a 3G device is in the list

Someone at - it the same problem. I have win 7 64 bit installed

    Hi mate

Have you noticed what Wlan dropouts using the battery power only, or do you have this problem also if the laptop is connected to the power adapter?
I had a similar problem, Wlan, but only using the power of the battery.

I noticed that you may change your economy option in Win 7 the power supply WLan management and this has solved the problem.

You should try it also disable it for the Wlan to save energy and check if it would improve the performance of Wlan

  • Portege M750 Win7 64 bit Wireless Manager (3G) will not work

I can't TOSHIBA Wireless Manager (3G) to work in a new installation of Win 7 64 bit.

I did a test installation of Windows 7 64 - bit on and old SATA hard drive and checked TOSHIBA Wireless Manager would work. He did.

I then did a fresh install of Windows 7 64 - bit on a new Crucial C300 Real SSD 256Go.

The new facility with the Crucial SSD is not very successful... The operation "stop and restart" does not - the closing not always power off completely and you must push the switch down to.

Sometimes the SSD does not start - you enter the password of the BIOS but then nothing happens. Sometimes you turn off the power and remove the battery before as the startup disk.

But the biggest problem is that the (3G) Wireless Manager will not work. The application opens and indicates that "died" - which it is impossible that I use WiFi to post this question.

I tried to install the software Vodafone 3 G portal. It detects the presence of the 'mobile device' (SIM in housing) but then can not turn it on.

I downloaded and installed all the latest drivers for the chip, the pilot 3G, 3G software, LAN driver, LAN software and all updates of Windows 7.

I have the latest version of the BIOS (3.0) but this has not been updated by Toshiba since 11/04/09.

I would point out that Diagnostic PC Toshiba tool does not recognize the installed 8 GB memory (but ccleaner):

    This indicates a BIOS problem?

    -don't

points to a problem of firmware on the SSD drive (is it sandforce) torque to the incompatibility of BIOS of the SSD.

I assume that all drivers installed etc were identical on the installation of the trial of HARD drive? so if this is the case it must be the SSD does not not with the BIOS correctly, so the other issues as well

  • Latest Toshiba 3 G drivers & Wireless Manager do not work in Windows 7?

    Hi all

I've installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled the latest Toshiba 3 G drivers and Toshiba Wireless Manager software for my netbook NB200-123, and they do not seem to work in Windows 7.

When I start the software Toshiba Wireless Manager now (version 6.3.1.101), it starts for a split second, then Windows 7 will then appear a dialog box stating:

    "Wireless Manager has stopped working"

(I used to have the old XP drivers work in part, if they had the problem you hibernation the netbook, the next time you open the software Toshiba Wireless Manager, it would freeze in the place where he says, 'opening pilot', and he would never come back)

I currently have the following versions:
Toshiba F3507g - (from Toshiba) Mobile broadband device version 4.54.7103.1, dated dated 26/06/2009
Toshiba F3507g Mobile Broadband Network adapt - (from Ericsson) version 1.0.0.52 dated dated 29/07/2009

If someone else has managed to get this working on their 123 NB200 with Windows 7? I wonder if I have a version of bad driver somewhere?

I can't imagine that Toshiba would have rolled out this without testing, so I must have something misconfigured somewhere.

    Best
    Rob

So far, there is no driver / WM for available for download Win7.
The existing XP/Vista driver / WM may not work on Win7.

SW for an update of Windows 7 will be released soon.

The card SIM of Telstra can lock onto the USB Modem. You will have to perhaps call Telstra and ask them.

    Also, check that the AFN.

    Hi @ all,

I test the Toshiba Wireless Manager 5 (5.2.1047.66) on Windows 7 RC1 64 bit and I have the problem, that the Toshiba Wireless Manager cannot connect to T-Mobile. He always timedout while trying to connect.
I don't see why. If I use a numbering Windows connection then I'll connect to the ISP network.

    does anyone have an idea?

    Kind regards

    Hello

The profile used is taken from your provider's SIM card - do not try to create one yourself. He usually works with the settings.

    Try this:
    1. disable the 3 G module and exit the Wireless Manager.
    2. wait 5-10 seconds.
    3. turn on the 3 G module, and then open the Wireless Manager.

    Should work?

I have the problem that the module disconnects after a while. After it is not possible to reconnect because the Wireless Manager does not respond or I get a problem of downtime as yours.

    See you soon

  • Portege R700 - 18Q - not available wireless adapter

    Hello!

We have a Portege R700 - 18Q, bought about 5-6 weeks ago. It has installed at the factory Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (Portuguese language), we installed some applications only, we need here and has been added to a domain of Ms. Nothing unusual.

Everything worked fine until a week or so, when the wireless adapter has disappeared from Windows. When I mean disappeared, I want to say the only reference I find is in system information, sub components-> network-> adapter, it shows in the list as "Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6200 AGN", the adapter type is 'Not available' and the installed part said '' Yes. '' When I press Fn + F8, he talks not of WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G WAN.

I have checked all the configuration and software for references to the adapter. It does not show in the Device Manager, even not with hidden power devices. When I opened the profile definitions in Toshiba ConfigFree, it shows that the wire is not available. When I went to add/remove programs, I can't find a refernce to a driver for this card. The LED near the trackpad is yellow.

I'm not an expert in Windows but I've dealt with Windows for a long time and I've usually managed to any installation/configuration of repair material. It left me speechless. It is a last resort before you send the laptop for repair.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Portege R700 - Sandforce SSD OCZ and Toshiba BIOS v1.9

    Hello

It is a question to the Toshiba techy guys. Please can someone confirm compatibility with SSDS OCZ Vertex2 (Sandforce) with the Portege r700?

Since I've updated the stock HARD drive I had problems with BIOS recognizing the SDS when you restart. If I boot the laptop from the cold, that is nice, DDI is recognized and everything is ok, the problem is intermittent. When requiring to restart the laptop to Windows 7 (64-bit), it hangs at the screen Toshiba Leading Innovation. It seems that the BIOS cannot detect the drive for some reason any and just freezes. I read the threads on the footprint software but am already run version v1.0.2.32 - so think it is independent.

I've recently updated firmware OCZ Vertex2 to v1.32 hoping that it could solve the problem and there is not. The question might be more compatible with the Toshiba BIOS Sandforce.

I am running the BIOS v1.9 - please can you guys do something to fix this?

    > That's obviously a problem with Sandforce
Always is it that there are several different manufacturers of SSDS, and it might be possible that not all the parties meet the same standards.
In this case, many manufacturers of SSDS provides updates of the firmware, but this isn't always the case so have to test other SSDS

  • Portege R600-U10 - error of Wireless Manager V6

    Hi all

I used the Wireless manager V5 and had problems whenever the computer went into Hibernation. I had to reboot the computer, every time the wireless connection was carried out. It wouldn't reconnect.

Someone told me that this problem has been resolved with the V6 so I downloaded the latest version and installed it.
I get the cannor run more error below.
Wireless Manager has encountered an error and will be closed... etc...

Can I have an option or should I return to V5 and continue with the problem of hibernation?

    Hello

What operating system you have and where you have downloaded the new software Wireless Manager?

Did you remove the old version before installing a new?
I recommend a new facility so remove all the Wireless Manager software that you have and you restart your laptop. Then run CCleaner which is a freeware for registry cleaning tool and restart. Now install the latest version of Wireless Manager.

    It's working now?

Is it necessary to run the Manager to use/activate wireless GPS?

Why this option is hide? (it is not appear on any specification?)

    Hello

Was the laptop with GPS module?
If she was not equipped with a GPS module, then you cannot use it.
I guess the software to provide a GPS support, but cannot be used as the module is not available.

The question is: did you buy a Portege R700 with a module 3G?

I m asking because different Portege R700 were released with different specifications.

  • Portege R700 - 3G wirless internet 'off '.

I travel a lot with my R700 laptop and use the high device mobile broadband 3G almost everyday of the week.

However, the mobile broadband has suddenly stopped working, and the Wireless Manager application reports that it is turned off. (It is not!)
I also note that the blue light that indicates a signal mobile broadband is no longer present.

I tried all the usual stuff such as a reboot, the wireless switching on and off the power, etc.
I also checked in the Device Manager, where it is reported as an Ericson FG3607gw adapter and is supposed to work correctly.

Someone at - he of the clues as to what went wrong?
I think that it may just have failed due to old age. (The laptop is five years).

Wide device is available as a spare mobile bandwidth, and it is easy to change.

(I use Windows 8 x 64 and installed the latest driver Ericson there are a few butterflies.) The BIOS is also updated.)

However, the mobile broadband has suddenly stopped working, and the Wireless Manager application reports that it is turned off. (It is not!)
I also note that the blue light that indicates a signal mobile broadband is no longer present.

If the led does not 'blue' light the 3G module is not IT.
It would be interesting to know why you are sure that the 3G module has been activated 100%.

I also checked in the Device Manager, where it is reported as an Ericson FG3607gw adapter and is supposed to work correctly.

In Device Manager, you will see the devices that are recognized by the system... but this does not mean that the module feature (i.e. WiFi or 3G) is activated...

However, I think that you should first try to reinstall the drivers.
First uninstall the driver 3G since the Device Manager...

There is also a control utility power of RF G 3 for Win 7. The '3 G RF Power Control Utility' active your 3G to start... this software is not available for Win 8 / Win 8.1 but check if you could install the version releaed for Win 7.

In any case, a newer driver of Ericson G 3 was released for Portege R930 series.
Check if you get the 3G enabled using this new version of the driver.
