Possible HP Pav p6-2007nl Desktop PC - USB 3.0?

Hello.

I would like to know if I can do USB3.0 slot available on my HP Pav p6-2007nl desktop PC. I've read elsewhere that some PCI for USB3.0 card there wouldn't fit physically this desktop computer many years ago. I'm not very knowledgeable on the computer, so if I could ask someone to advise me what kind of PCI card should I buy, and I shouldn't. There are differernt sizes in "PCI card"?

Thank you so much in advance for any information, I could receive.

Good day.

Alex

Hello

You must use a USB 3.0 PCI - E x 1 version 2.

One of the biggest problems is to find a card that has Windows 7 or Windows 8 drivers depending on what you need.  Koutech PCI-E 1 x USB 3.0 card should work according to specifications.

If your PC came with Windows 8, then you will need to make other changes in the bios such as the disabling secure boot and enable legacy mode. HP Secure Boot Windows 8 themes

  • HP Pav p6-2007nl desktop PC: why its port DVI says "do not remove"?

Hello, my name is Alex from Holland and I have another novice question, but I hope this helps someone else in novice like me!

I have the computer mentioned in the title and I want to use a DVI monitor only.

According to the specification on the Internet (URL below), my computer supports the DVI and VGA; "DVI and VGA ports (using the VGA and DVI ports at the same time is supported).

But when I go to tbe rear of the computer, then I think DVI port is covered by a plastic cap and says "DON'T DELETE." and it seems the screws used are not a regular screw, but the special screws that has a Pentagon shape.

Does that mean I'm supposed to indeed not to open, and needing an extraordinary live HP or something? What happens if I managed to open it? I can indeed use the DVI? Or is the ability to DVI made unavailable/Cup?

I would much appreciate it if someone could teach me this seemingly basic things about the hardware in the computer.

Based on your photo, the discreet graphics card has HDMI and DVI - I outputs. You can use HDMI monitors and DVI in native mode and you can use a VGA to DVI-connection screen using an adapter DVI / VGA (dongle).

  • Microsoft Desktop 2000 USB receiver will not be detected in Windows 8?

    Split of: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-hardware/microsoft-desktop-2000-usb-receiver-wont-be/1b6e623d-e466-4c81-9d0c-da29eb58604c

I have a new Microsoft Wireless 2000 keyboard and plugged the USB into my computer Windows 8 and nothing happens.  No noise, no detection, nothing.  The recommendation is to check the batteries in the keyboard and get drivers, but that shouldn't matter for the dongle.  He should at least ding and try to discover what he as it does for everything else that I plug.   I downloaded the drivers and the batteries are all new.  Everything else works in the USB ports, so I think that the new dongle is just bad.

I also had a mouse Microsoft Wireless Mobile 4000 and the dongle does not even fit into my USB port.  I can connect any other USB device very well, but I couldn't get this dongle in once and since then I can't do without possibly breaking something back in.  I have tried other devices and it's 50-50 whether it fits or not.   It works actually when I get it, in contrast to the keyboard, but once it's in it can not be removed apparently.

I'm not sure that I hope more than Microsoft hardware.  I may have to stick to software only.  I never had so much trouble with other brands of trust.

Yes, but you must do what is necessary. ISO that you create on a USB bootable copy.

    Prepare the. ISO installation file.

See the instructions for burning. ISO in Windows 7 or later files:

You can also use the Microsoft USB/DVD tool, which is recommended for users of Windows XP.

After getting the file .iso that you use it Microsoft .iso to USB/DVD tool to create a bootable DVD or USB (requires a blank DVD or USB flash to at least 4 GB key).

If your computer is UEFI, they are normally the systems that come pre-loaded with Windows 8 or later, you need prepare the ISO for such a configuration file or you will receive an error during installation. The USB key must be formatted in FAT32 and use the GPT partitioning scheme. To do this, you must use Rufus, a small tool that you can download for free.

    • Select the ISO Image
    • Point to the file ISO for Windows 10

  • Is it possible to convert Sidewinder Force Feedback wheel USB device?

Original title: sidewinder force steering wheel feedback

I have a fairly old sidewinder force wheel sterring feedback, which is a plug connection, not usb.  Is it possible to convert / and if you also think that it will work?

    Hello

I doubt if this would be converted to USB connection since it's an old device that is compatible with XP only. For the best experience in games, I personally suggest you to upgrade the perimeter game, for example, Microsoft SideWinder Mouse.

What is awesome about it, is that it is still faster than installing it leave a DVD... so I was just wondering if it is possible to apply it to my Windows XP and Vista?... my friend needs to reformat the PC, but it doesn't have a DVD player , or the drive of all... so I just thought it was my only option... All responses will help me to be awarded!

  • LaserJet M1132 - scan not possible when it is connected to the USB of TimeCapsule airport port

    Hello

    I'm on Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4

Installed the latest drivers to date: 1.2

The multifunction printer is pluged on a TimeCapsule 7.6.1

    Printing works fine.

But scanning is not possible using "HP Director" and with a brand like HP, I expect to have drivers with the message box from standard scanning Mac OS X (Capture of Image and therefore all software that use this API in the operating system).

This works very well with a printer of a different brand.

    Is there a solution?

    Thank you

Well Yes, by design, the USB port on the airport take in charge of printing, not for analysis or fax.  I'm sorry.

  • Drag and drop question - Desktop and USB

    Hello!!

I have an Asus laptop that I bought in September with Windows 8 is installed. I saw drag and drop questions on desktop lately, and I'll provide you with a full run down of what past:

    1. this particular case, I wanted to save my mobile by copying and pasting all the files from my phone to a USB (USB Kingston).

    2. I selected all files, right click to copy, open the folder that I made in the USB for my phone content and do a right-click Paste.

    3. nothing's happened, Explorer seems to have frozen, so I opened the Task Manager and press end task, all closed and restarted my laptop.

    4. I have excluded that my phone was the issue. I was able to create a folder on my desktop and copy and paste all of the content of my phone in the folder on my desktop.

    5. I tried to copy and paste / drag and drop an image from my office to the flash drive. Explorer Windows freezes on the rise again.

    6. I tried another flash drive. Explorer Windows froze again.

Apparently I'm unable to copy files ON a USB key, which makes the backup and backup of things a headache because Windows Explorer stops working every time.

I am the only user of this laptop, and I don't know what is happening or what to do. Any help would be appreciated. Windows 8.1 upgrade would solve this problem?

    Hi Karthik,

    1. There is no error message.

    2. I tried earlier drag - move my documents to my flash drive and it works perfectly.

I just tried again to drag and drop from my office to my flash drive and for some reason, it works again.

I don't think that was with my flash drives, but with Windows Explorer itself. Nevertheless, it seems to have fixed itself somehow. Thank you very much for your help!

  • How is it possible to copy a playlist on a USB?

My new car audio system has a USB port and is supposed to be able to play music from a USB 'peripheral '. So, I try to understand how to copy a mix of songs on a USB key. I made a playlist with songs in the order I want. Then I copied the files on the disk. I tried in my car, but it does not seem to recognize the drive. I tried to export the playlist, but all this did was to create a text file.

I could just burn songs to a CD, but CD is not very good. I want songs much more than that and don't want to have to keep changing CD. So, how can I make a playlist that is playable from a USB?

    Hello

Turingtest2 has a solution in this thread, but it seems a little complicated. Copy playlist to USB?

  • Microsoft wireless desktop 2000 USB transceiver works do not.

I have Microsoft Wireless Desktop 2000 for a while now, about 2 months.

Its under warranty. Now, all of a sudden, the radio stopped working.

I know because if I apply a slight pressure on the transceiver downwards, he begins to respond and when I take off the pressure, it stops responding.

P.S. I also tried all the troubleshooting methods.

I tried service and technical support centres. They say that Microsoft does not provide two-way radios separately and I buy the complete kit again.

Now I can't do it because he is a few months old and I've spent a small fortune buying the kit.

I hope someone at Microsoft to help me.

    Thank you!
