  I'm sorry that you are experiencing this issue. The fax works with Vonage, BUT it doesn't really work that well. This may sometimes work, it may not.

  Vonage is a (VOIP) Voice Over Internet Protocol. It has many transmitters communicate in both directions and can cause the interruption between the lines. You can try some steps, but it may not always work.

  1. go in the settings of your Fax

  2. change your Error Correction Mode (ECM) - OFF

  3 set the fax speed to slow DOWN

  Make sure it is properly connected.

  1 LINE 1 at the rear of the printer goes directly to LINE 1 of the Vonage modem (or wall plug)

  2 LINE 2 goes directly to the phone.

  I get the error message 346 when sending faxes.  I have faxed to other numbers and he's been through.   Fax 888-HP FAXME and got a return fax.  I tried Dow to slow speed and it did not help.  What can I do else?  I can't work like this!

  I noticed your post that you found the error fax 346 with your HP Officejet 8710 printer all-in-one. I'm happy to help you!

  This error means that the remote machine (person you send) responded to a fax on the local computer command because the connection has been lost. These errors can occur if the phone lines in the region to be faxed are old or there is noise (static on the telephone line). Other reasons can include power outages and other problems related to food.

  New attempt to receive faxes when telephone line conditions improved. Call phone provider if the driving conditions fail to improve.

  Ink level low don't effect function fax, BUT if a level of ink is exhausted/empty you cannot use the fax because the printer stops during warm-up.

  Simply connect it to your phone line for faxing and use the copy option, none of these options require the use of any computer.

• Photosmart 7520e all in one Fax issues

  Had little hair, now...!  You just bought a 7520 to replace my old 3310 which was failure to scan.  Set up according to the software but when I got to fax set up it tells me I have the wrong telephone cord and fails.  Its put one up in the box, very simple, I have DSL with a modern façade so do not use any filter and plugs directly into the router.  I have an answering machine on one of the handsets, tried all the software question options nothing works.  Bag cord says his UK/NZ/ME so guess that is correct region, but somewhere he mentions a cord to two sons, this one has 4?  I have to admit that the old 3310 was much easier than that.  Is it a fault or if I made a boo boo.  Someone at - it ideas?

  Hi thanks for the very detailed answer, but after a lot of puzzles, it was no longer a very basic solution. HP had packed / provided the wrong lead! The telephone wire was a 4 son so guess that he pick up the extra ring wires. Found an old thread 2 lead in my box of spare parts and all ok. Wonder how many others will swap printers retailers. Pretty basic error. Thanks again paul

  OK, I went through the whole upward.  However, I never see a fax on the Director icon, and when I try to set up the fax settings, all I get is an error message.  I'm so frustrated.  I try to send a test fax for Kinko's, and I continue to be told that it does not.  Obviously, I'm doing something wrong.  I am an elderly woman of 72 years with no about 8 year old boy to assist me.  Help! someone please help me.  Thank you.

  Well, it of always the simple things, isn't it.  Finally, I realized that I had the phone jacks into the slots on the printer hard! Had the phone connected to the one slot and the wall jack to the slot two, which, of course, should be just the opposite.  The minute I put them where there should be, has worked beautifuly fax.

  Photosmart C7100 printers had a few models including the C7150 and the C7180.  Both use 02 cartridges that you ordered, assuming you are in the United States or to a region that uses the 02 cartridges.  (Look at the current cartridges in your printer to check.  If you originally bought the printer in a country and moved to the other cartridges would be different and you need to contact HP for a restart of the regionalization).

  Can someone help me please?   I have printer uninstalled somehow the 'fax' when I was on the move. I set the printer to the top, even re downloaded the driver for Mac Os X. I "added" a new printer, but it still does not show the 'fax' option when I hit 'print' as before. And the 'fax' does not appear in my list of printers.  I could use some help.  Thank you in advance.   I would be happy to provide you with some suggestions that can help solve the problem!  There may be a slight problem with the software.  I know that you have reinstalled the drivers, but I suggest you uninstall the HP software. Once the software uninstalled I recommended to perform a "repair disk permissions" on your Mac. A repair disk permissions is a utility built into the operating system Mac designed to detect and resolve problems or errors. After that permission to repair disc is finished, reboot your Mac computer and re-install the software.

  After the installation I recommend that you check the software updates on the Mac. To search for software updates, click the icon "Apple" to the left and click on the "app store". In the app store, you can click on the "updates" at the top of the window. Updates install and Hp or a printer. After the update, you must restart the computer.

  I had printer for 6-7 years and never had a problem. I up graded my phone att pots line (plain old telephone system) the system to voip (voice over internet phone). I never had a problem to send and receive faxes. Now, I can only send faxes and not receive them, even with the automatic reply button on! The only rings (6210 HP) fax. Chat with people to send faxes reports the 6210 indicates the machine is busy, which is not the case. I checked the telephone connections and cables and still get the same results. I have checked the filters and hooked up to another fax machine (hp 8500 A909a) with the same results. I downloaded a updateded printer driver and still get the same results. I noticed when I sent a fax test fax hp service test, they sent a fax to the back but the fax would only ring unless I press the black / touch of color, it will leave a fax come through. Y at - it a remedy to this new problem. Help.

  Switch to a VoIP system may cause problems.  The fax machine is designed to operate with an analog installation.

  You can print in B & W, but you still need all of the ink cartridges. The printer does not start if no inks during the reheating process (when the printer).

  I have a HP Photosmart C5280 All-in-one printer. I am able to print and scan through the software on my pc, but the buttons and the screen on my printer does not work.   I read your post on display problems you are facing your Photosmart C5280 and wanted to drop. My suggestion would be to try the steps that are in the article link below to see if they can help. If the problem persists, I think that somewhere there is an internal failure, and could then recommend contact HP directly to see what your next printer options.   I see that you have concerns about the internal memory of the printers.  Memory is automatically reset when the printer is disconnected, so you have no problem with personal information being recorded.
