  Maybe I missed it, but I have found no tool automatic update of a dozen programs that were pre-installed with the laptop. There are two problems with this:

  1. There is no easy way to check the currently installed version
  2. There are many programs

  Maybe I'm too lazy, under Fedora just type 'yum update' or something similar and each package supplied with the system is up-to-date. I'm not demanding this for software I have installed on my own, first because I don't know what version I have installed, and second, I know where to find the updates.

  But if you are shipping a ton of craplets with the system, it would be good to update these as painless as possible.

  What is the brand, the range and the model of your PC (or card mother brand and model if a custom build)?

  What service pack are you in?

  • Hold down the Windows (between Ctrl and Alt) key and press Pause break
  • Examine what is listed in the system: section on your service pack level

  Is there any device listed in Device Manager problem?

  • Click Start
  • Click on run
  • Type devmgmt.msc and press enter
  • Search for devices in "Other devices" and devices marked with exclamation point (!) and let us know what they are

  It is possible to activate Microsoft Updates via Group Policy, key registry or by download & install a separate package to "flip the switch"?

  To clarify, I don't know what allows "Automatic Updates".  By default, systems get updates to Windows, but I want to get Microsoft Updates to get updates for all Microsoft applications (Microsoft Office, Visio, Project etc.).

• I receive error code U44M1i210 when updating of products CC since yesterday

  All my CC products come back to me the same error code when I try to update since Jan. 12. This is the full message for Dreamweaver: "there was an error of installation of this update. Quit and try again later. Error code: U44M1I210
  Release of Dreamweaver CC - December 2013".

  I tried via the individual product, helps, updated... it still does not work.

  I reported via the Online Chat - they told me that I should call the technical support team. I waited 33 minutes and hang up as I get fed up with waiting - please help.
  

  I found a solution that worked for me. The PC I was trying for the failure of the update kept any solution I tried. Whenever I tried to update, the progress bar should always start at 51%. Telling me that the download has been done and that the problem lied with the actual files or the ability to extract correctly.

  I asssumed these bad files took place somewhere in my user profile on Windows. So, I opened a session under a different name and this time the update started 0% telling me I was getting a new download.

  So far, I did update through the application itself - help menu... ... And through the application of CC desktop updates.

  I still don't know what is bad in itself, but I know that by connecting to another user, I was able to get a clean download and a successful update.

  I'm afraid that not possible "extra" roll back So, uninstall. Then download and install. This puts you out of the basic version. Treat only the updates that you want.

  Install the OS, all updates and install your favorite software. After doing this get some professional application like Norton ghost and create your own recovery image. You can save this image on the second partition of HARD drive external HARD drive or even create own recovery DVD.

  You can also Google a bit. You may find a similar application for free.

  Yesterday I downloaded updates v 9.0.2 2015 005 security update and Safari on my laptop OSX Yosemite (v10.10.5), and now, iTunes won't play of the TV shows that I bought and downloaded in my library.  Any purchased music will play well.  This seems to affect only my videos.  Maybe this related to updates?  If so, how can I fix it?  All videos were playing yesterday while I downloaded updates.

  My laptop worked fine. Reboot to sleep this AM and cannot connect to the internet (i.e. network hardware doesn't work properly). It may be a windows update (I'm on Vista 32 bit).

  I too have the same error messages (to ensure that IP connections are checked (they are) or it is a hardware/driver). There is no fault of network - I have two other computers accessing the internet via my WiFi OK.

  I tried the solution posted by SPIRITX but I don't know what network devices that you want to uninstall. I don't have listed NETWORK or WIFI card. I have the following:

  I went to:

  Network and sharing Center

  Network connections

  r / clicked on WiFi network

  Properties

  unchecked and uninstalled the WinpkFilter Miniport drivers in this list.

  Restarted

  It seemed to do. The uninstals worked from here rather than by the Device Manager - don't ask me why. I am also doing this from memory so I hope I have listed all the steps - maybe the pro was able to confirm.

  tested with a ping from google from the command line

  then connected to my network as usual that connected OK.

  He did dirty upo my Norton 360 I had to reinstall it again, but it worked OK.

  Initially, I have a problem that I caused by a virus Norton had found and quarantined on my PC which coincided with the problem, but I do not know now.

  Try disabling the AMD APP SDK Runtime as follows.

  1. Go to your control panel and select "Uninstall a program" or "programs and features".
  2. Locate and select 'AMD Catalyst Manager.'
  3. Along the top of the list, you should see "Organize", "Uninstall", "Change" and "repair".  Select 'change '.
  4. Follow the instructions until you select "uninstall Manager".
  5. Select custom.
  6. Uncheck the "AMD APP SDK Runtime" and continue to follow the guests.
  7. Finish and restart your computer.
  8. Check if the problem persists and post the result.

  I'll keep an eye out for your answer.  Nice day.
