  • Upgrading power SUPPLY Compaq Presario SR1403WM block

I know this is an old computer and everything, but I'm always wanting to do some updates for her because I'm not getting rid of it for a while.

So I was wondering what would be a compatible power supply for this computer. I'm looking for at least a 350 watts so that I could run easily 3 hard drives, a dvd burner and a Radeon X 1300 XT.

If you know if this card will work with the 250 that is in this computer with my other updates please tell so I don't have to worry about this.

Since the computers original specifications I already changed to 3 320 WD HDD, 2 GB of RAM and an ATI Radeon 9550, while also removing the modem 56 k the 9 in 1 card reader and the original hard drive, CD burner and stick of RAM.

The 9550 is just a little weak for me and the x 1300 will be able to hit the sweet spot. That is why I wonder about upgrading the PSU or the card will work with the current.

Anyway thanks for the help in advance.

Ok. Good ATX PSU brand will do. (Corsair / OCZ / Fortron / shut up!) Your motherboard uses an ATX PSU specification. With what you already have in your system, you should get a decent at least 450 Watts and ATX12V 2.2 EPS12V, modular, 80 more specs. Care like these will allow you to use it in a motherboard upgrade when you are ready

  • Power supply Compaq SR5010NX

Currently I still have the original power of 250W and I was wondering what I could spend it with. I want at LEAST 300W PSU. I just need to know what might work. And if possible suggestions. Money is a bit weak at the moment.

    Thanks in advance.

All that matters is the size of the power supply. Most of the HP desktop PC contain power supplies ATX 6 inches (15.25 cm) x 5 inches (12.7 cm) x 3.25 inches (8.25 cm).

If possible go to 350W, I'm sure that the price difference won't be much.

  • Compaq Mini 110: Polarity of power supply jack

    Hello

I have a HP/Compaq Mini 110 that was given to me because both the battery and the AC adapter was lost. I have a power supply of the correct voltage (19 VDC) and can get an outlet of the right size. I need to know what the polarity of the plug must be, for example, is the center of the end positive or negative? I also need to know if the computer will be also powered if one battery (even dead) is not installed. If it will power-up with the polarity a/c adapter, I'm going to buy a battery, otherwise I don't lose money. Shame on HP/Compaq to not show a pictorial of polarity on the camera body. If I can get going, have enough moxie upgrade to Windows 10? Thank you.

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

See p. 54 on the hard drive. She straight plug the motherboard, but it shows a cart or make sledding which does not move there and the SSD is welded to a SATA connector. For some time I took one of these apart.

He's a regular SATA and the size limit, it's what is on the market, not the hardware, so you could theoretically install a 2 TB or a 2.5 inch SATA SSD. You could probably get one inch 80 gig SATA SSD 2.5 for a pittance and it would run as well as he is capable of running.

The memory you have is DDR2-800, but the system he clocks up to speed DDR2-533.

The power Jack is soldered to the motherboard and there is no way I know to stretch upward. A lot of youtube videos on the welding on a new jack and you can find the plug for a few dollars. It is not a work that I do, but I saw several times and I think you can probably manage it if you have the soldering equipment.

  • HP Compaq 8000 Elite power supply upgarde

I have a HP Compaq 8000 Elite 2010 and you must update the power to launch my new Radeon HD 6850 graphics card. After much research I found that this particular computer motherboard does not have a normal diet of 20 or 24 pins but use instead of 2 separate connections from 4 pins for power supply PWR and PWRCPU and a third cable that seems to me to be an ancient and obsolete 6-pin auxiliary power (http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html#aux) for the PWRCMD supply Cable. I also found that all power is carried out through the motherboard for each piece of hardware in the computer and therefor, most likely has a limit for the maximum possible power supply. Y at - it sort of a power supply that will fit both into the slot in the power supply (which is not the standard size of power supply, but rather measures approximately 6 "x 5.75" x 3.75") and will also be able to connect to and sufficient power to the motherboard? Or am I stuck with an ugly 320W? Help, please!

    Maverickv2,

You will not be able to upgrade this power supply, model # 508154-001. It is not possible with these connectors. The most absurd part is that the material (disks) are actually powered off the coast of the motherboard. (As you said).

  • Compaq DC7700 CMT: Power supply Assembly for dc7700 cmt

I got a HP Compaq DC7700 CMT (convertible minitower) and want to install my XFX XT power supply in it series.

It seems that the holes for the screws may be different. No power supply is available for the side by side comparison.

    If anyone can check that?

and, is it possible to install a "standard atx" PSU in this dc7700.

If Yes, what should be done.

The XFX PSU adapts physically, and it seems that the connectors on the motherboard are all compatible.

My only concern right now is if the new XFX PSU moved to the back of the tower.

I count on the installation of a hard disk with Windows7 on it, two spare HARD drive as the network maps and graphs updated

Your correct, the PSU do not line up.

What has been done in the past, it is what is in the photo. You just made an adapter plate.

Be aware that only the Legacy graphics cards will work.

  • Compaq Presario 2034NX. N power supply video card update

I have a Compaq Presario 2034NX and want to get an upgrade of the installed video card (for a HDMI output, etc.).  I know that I have to spend my diet as well, for new power requirements.

I am interested in (after-sales) part 3 parts, not "genuine HP/Compaq", to save costs on this box of 7 year and longer.

    (A) what version of PCI-Express is the slot on the MBoard?

    (B) what form of power factor should be purchased for?  ATX?  12V?

    (C) is there a special condition of type MOE for video work in Compaq Presario PCI-Express slot card, or will more 3rd party (after-sales) cards work?

    Thank you!

    Hello

Is the Compaq Presario PC?  If Yes, then put a standard size ATX power supply will work as well as several video cards PCI-E x 16.

Most of NVIDIA video cards require a minimum of a 300 Watt power supply.  Most of ATI video cards require a power supply of + 400 watt mimium.

1 HP didn't post the version of PCI-E slot, but I suspect 1.x. It should support most of the cards PCI-E 2.0 with a few exceptions.

    2. a stand size ATX power supply will fit (5.5x3.4x5.9).

    3. the video card chosen must be associated with a power supply to support its power requirements.

How much budget do you see for the video card and the power suppy.  You have special requirements of video connection? (HDMI, DVI, VGA)  What applications are you planning to use with the new video card?

Open your PC and a few measurement in parallel with the PCI-E x 16 slot to see how long of a video card will fit. The adjacent slot on the PCI-E x 16 slot must be vacant if a larger video card is being considered. Look at the motherboard, and ensures that the components on the motherboard will not interfere with the installation of the video card.

  • HP Compaq 8100 Elite CMT: Need power supply 400w replacement.

I ordered a refurbished HP Compaq 8100 Elite CMT Quad Core i7-860 2.80 GHz 8 GB RAM 1 TB HARD drive

And I ordered a gtx geforce 650 need a 400w power supply. I don't know on what power I need command that will fit in this. Can someone help me?

Use an adapter for your 2nd diet, it's what has worked for me.

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/like/111284841995?lpid=82
5.00 after all my research I've found the answer, it's not pretty, but it works.

Plug one of your SATA power to branch (from your current diet) on the cable resulting, plug your new power supply ATX ATX plug adapter and you're good to go. When your old power supply switch on the adapter will turn on your new, it's great.

Add2PSU is an adapter popular http://www.add2psu.com/

You could buy a dedicated power supply if you can find one, but I recommend not, they are expensive, make a lot of noise and heat.

It was a nightmare for me and I don't want other people to have to go through what I did.

  • Upgrading power supply on a HP Compaq Business Desktop

So I bought a power supply 500W on newegg a few days previously, under the assumption that all the power supplies have a standard structure. (wrong - o)

My machine: HP Compaq Business Desktop DC7900 - NV487UT

The new power supply is too small for the previous anchor for the power supply box. I can't even the two screw holes that align the two. That's pretty pathetic.

Anyone know where I could find a compatible PSU that puts at least a 450W max? (for a new video card). I did some research and found nothing. Thought it was time to turn to the forums of HP.

Well, there is always the possibility to buy directly from HP.  Of course, for a student who is a bit more expensive.  The next thing you might try is to walk in a bestbuy and asking them if they have anything in this size.  If it's not that they could tell you where to find a.  Try a store like tigerdirect, normally, they have a bunch of stuff at random and may have a small power supply in stock.

  • SR5610F Compaq Presario Desktop - Power Supply Upgrade

Currently, I have a stock SR5610F Desktop and I installed a new graphics card without realizing the low power supply. I wish to find a new power supply at least 350-400W PSU that can fit into this model of Tower.

I'm having problems trying to find a suitable diet:

    1. it must be integrated into the tower itself.

-I feel a bit stupid now, I forgot that the plate itself does not affect the power supply. -

If anyone has any suggestions for a diet for this computer, help would be greatly appreciated (infinitely).

    -Drake

This Corsair should work, but there are other choices.  It is a model single rail with 34 amps on the 12 volt bus.

Regarding a new video card, this block of power SUPPLY Corsair will give you plenty of choice.

Review the performance of NVIDIA specifications. Look at the specifications of strip memory bandwidth and level of DirectX support.

How to replace a video card.

  • Power supply for HP 8000 elite

    Help, please

Hi, I have HP 8000 elite, the problem is the power supply on my PC is damaged due to a power surge problem, I fixed it. But it does not work very well. Now I turn the power button that is not starts it becomes red power light and 4 times gives a beep both cpu and power fans are not turning on. Now, I want to buy a new PSU, but then I came to know that my PC has a rare type of food that is not normally available on the market, other feeds standerd does not work on this forum.

In the end I think that there as no break for my solution that one question must take a half litre petrol put on the system and put it on the fire.

I did not understand is why HP does not follow rules standerd.
All the help that I can use the PSU others made by Corsair or Cooler Master or I have to wait until the power supply would be available on the market.

  • HP power supply pinout incompatible with the standard?

    My machine is a P7-1370.

While researching PSU's, I found this statement to http://www.smps.us/power-connectors.html:

"Compaq and HP also used incompatible systems. As a general rule, if you have a brand PC,.
you suspect that it may be incompatible with the standard of the industry. »

But in this forum I read about the people, replacing the PSU in HP machines with Corsair etc.

Is there any incompatibility in the HP pinout?

    Hello

The new class of consumers HP PCs of my standard ATX power supply to use observation provides. Some of the class business PCS have been known to use propriety feeding.  You can find some of the old HP PC using a connector ATX 20.

It takes time for the standards to shake.  While using a power supply ATX standard can save on costs, that it could not meet the requirements for a particular need, hence the need for a special model. Sequencing of its power for devices is a case I've seen in the past to power specialized.  Another situation might be a compact cabinet where a typical diet would not fit.

I saw the power supplies that are interchangeable between Dell and HP.
