Prevents the graphic update/scrolling

Hello

I have a VI where periodically I have to prevent the permanent table scroll. The scroll rate is excessively high and I can't seem to stop or slow down at least. Currently the graphic entrance is connected to a business structure that allows to choose between acquiring data or by using a default value. Using the event structure is not possible that the section is incorporated in a while loop and a part of a larger application.

Thank you

I agree with Norbert B & altenbach

That's how did briefly,

    Hello

change how to get updates to allow you to choose what you and when you install to stop it happening again

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial140.html

Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Windows will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.

Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need, or those who have little access to the Internet.

    Thank you

    Hi drfugawe,

Thank you for using answers Forum.

You should be able to access Windows Update > "select updates to install", right-click on the IE8 update and click "hide update".

This is to prevent the update to settle in the future.

Please let us know if that helps.

  • How can I prevent the right vertical scroll bar to disappear?

In one of the changes made to Windows during the past two years, the vertical right scroll bar, which was visible all the time, now turns off after a few seconds of inactivity.  I find it very annoying.  Normally, I place the cursor on the arrow towards the bottom of the scroll bar so I can click on it to move around the screen while I read it.  But since then the scroll bar disappears after a few seconds, I click and of course nothing happens.  I have to move the cursor to get the scroll to reappear/reactivate bar so I can use, then position it on the arrow down and click.  Boring, boring, boring.  Why they did it default for this is beyond me, since the scroll bar is non intrusive and barely perceptible.  Microsoft seems to be more concerned about the aesthetics of function.  I wish they reassess their values.  But I digress.  Is it possible to place the scroll bar so that it does not disappear?  Or, at the very least, set a timer so that it remains visible for more than a few seconds?

I've never had an iPhone to day in the middle of a phone call. It will only be if after downloading the update and it has connected to WiFi to do. You can have your phone looked when you get a chance that there may be a problem with the hardware with him.

  • GetAxisScalingMode is updated only after the graphic update

    Hello

on a xy chart, I'm traced multiple xy plots and a few vertical lines (2 or 4) to indicate some areas of interest. For the development of these lines, I need to know the value of y minimum and maximum of the graph. That's why I thought using GetAxisScalingMode (autoscaling value), which returns the maximum value without the need to investigate individual data sets (large) of the xy plots ideally.

    In principle, this approach works.

Now, to avoid flicker, I use the following sequence:

    (1) SetCtrlAttribute (Panel, graph_control, ATTR_REFRESH_GRAPH, FALSE);

    (2) plot new xy plots

    (3) obtain ymin, ymax, using GetAxisScalingMode

    (4) vertical lines using plot plot

    (5) SetCtrlAttribute (Panel, graph_control, ATTR_REFRESH_GRAPH, TRUE);

Unfortunately, this does not work because the range of a chart axis is updated only after the display of the chart.

First of all, this behavior seems a bit inconsistent for me because using for example. GetCtrlAttribute (Panel, graph_control, ATTR_NUM_PLOTS, & plot_handles) returns the correct number of plots before updating the chart.

Second, you need a suggestion of how to achieve the goal of flicker free plot xy plots so many vertical lines, covering the range complete y?

    Thank you!!

    Wolfgang

    OK... Finally!

Now, I can confirm that this behavior is weird (I would even call it a bug...)

    Here is a workaround:

The fundamental discovery is that the axis interval is updated if a plot is set, even if the chart is not updated. The procedure is:

    (1) SetCtrlAttribute (Panel, graph_control, ATTR_REFRESH_GRAPH, FALSE);

    (2) plot new xy plots

    3) get ymin, ymax, using GetAxisScalingMode / / doesn't work here because of the CVI BUG

    (4) vertical lines using plot plot

    4A) GetCtrlAttribute (Panel, graph_control, ATTR_NUM_PLOTS, & plot_handles);

4 (b) SetCtrlAttribute (Panel, graph_control, ATTR_PLOT_ZPLANE_POSITION, plot_handles - 1); These two lines are stupid here because the lines are subsequently demolished, but they update the chart axis range!

4 c) get ymin, ymax, using GetAxisScalingMode / / now it works

    d 4) remove vertical lines

4th) vertical plots using plot / / and now the lines have the right length

    (5) SetCtrlAttribute (Panel, graph_control, ATTR_REFRESH_GRAPH, TRUE);

I try to display a new signal on a XY chart where there is a precedent. I want not to erase the former, just to keep and add a new curve. I tried to use a node of inter-generational but I can't find a proper properity.

    Any idea?

    1000 a,

First you need to connect an array of cluster, to set the correct type. Read the old values, and add the new.

  • Cannot install the graphic video library 2.2 Qosmio F50

Hi, I'm looking for help installed the graphics Toshiba update video library 2.2 for Windows 7.

I did a clean install of Windows 7 ultimate on my Toshiba Qosmio F50 - 10Z, installed everything fine, including Flash cards. But I have a problem installing the graphics update video library 2.2. I downloaded the version of Windows 7 GVL of the support page and found that the update includes 2 folders (?), 1.2 and 2.2.

I ran the update 1.2 first and installed ok, but when I try to install the 2.2 update it displays a dialog box indicating that installation cannot continue because the old database of chart library was found.

Someone has an idea in how to get this installed update?

    Thank you

    Hello

In my opinion the update 2.2 (or new version) cannot be installed because version 2.1 was installed and the error message means that this old graph library database was found.

In my opinion you should delete/uninstall video Library 2.1 system and then you must run version 2.2.

    Good bye

  • Would PREVENT you automatic updates and other changes

JO 8600 Pro.  Configuration of the wireless network.

I want to prevent the automatic updates.

There must be a way to stop the automatic firmware / software updates.  I have not found.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it" particularly printers.

People update the firmware / software (not only HP) & some things suddenly do not work.

    I don't update * nothing * until I know what it is.

I just installed some new cartridges, not HP.  All of a sudden the printer is accessing internet & "Download".  She flashed quickly on the screen of the printer & I couldn't read what it says.

At the same time, he said something like '... then web printing will be also activated. "

I disabled specifically that, in the SAP when I 1st installation program for the printer.  Won't print web, it is useless.

Now, because I have replace a few carts, it's going to turn it back on for me?  Talk about balls of brass.

I canceled that download / stop the printer.  But of course, he had changed my settings & reactivated web printing.  (I disabled it again).

The next power on, printer took some download.  He did not said worth what - has just shown, "Downloaded X of Y" & showed progress.  I immediately cancelled again.

If there are no parameters to prevent no matter what auto FW / software updates, or if she simply ignores them, I'll have to bury the printer under the firewall.

    Thank you.

    Thanks RnR.

Here is a method to use a router to block devices to access the internet, which should work for many users.

I decided to use my router to block internet access to the printer.  This can quickly and easily be reversed or modified.  It has 2 basic steps:

1 assign the printer a static IP address.

    2. use the settings on the router to deny access to the internet to the static address.

I have a Cisco / Linksys router, but many brands & models have these basic features, which are accessed from EWS from the router (built-in web server), via a web browser.

HP support has the allocation of static IP address for printer more detailed instructions.

Here is the HP document a coating for my OJ Pro 8600 & some other models: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03781399/

It may be easier for most users to assign an HP printer a static address, using EWS of the printer rather than the screen of the printer.

Note: as a general rule, when you use a router to assign a static API for devices that the router would otherwise be assigned automatically (via 'DHCP'), the selected static address is outside the current range of addresses, the router can be used to assign addresses to devices on.  Many routers, that the current range of addresses, it can choose to assign DHCP addresses is visible in certain section / tab of the EWS router.

In my Cisco the current DHCP range appears under installation - basic setup - DHCP section:

    "IP range: 192.168.2.60 to 192.168.2.109.

So I chose an address static printer off this (192.168.2.XXX).

You should write down & save the selected API, in the case where there is no problem getting later printer (shouldn't be, but...).

Assign the printer a static API did not affect access to its built-in Web server (for me).

Once the static method API is assigned & recognized (by the router), use the settings of the router to block this address from internet access.  In my Cisco, it's under "Access Restrictions."  (You may need to turn the printer on / off; possibly reboot some computers, for the new static to be recognized address.)  Here's how I did in the Cisco:

Log on to the router EWS (login by default & password is admin/admin.  You must always change router PASSWORD values by default, for security reasons - then your neighbor or your child can't hack your router remotely).

Go to the tab "Access Restrictions" or similar.
Click on "Edit PC" and put in the "MAC address" of the printer. (found in the network printer config / settings).

    Save the MAC address settings.

Back on the homepage Internet access router, give this internet access policy (rule) a name.

    Then click on "Access."
Check "Everyday" and "24 hours" for time, to block the IPa at all times.
    Save the settings.

Now, the router will not allow this address to access the internet - for the specified hours, but the device (printer) can continue to communicate on the local network - all the time.

The same can be done for specific computers.  You want to block computers in kids' internet access on certain days / hours.

  • Can I update the graphics card in my notebook? read inside...

    Hello

It is not really possible to update the graphics your laptop card - although it is called a 'card' in reality she is physically welded to the motherboard in the same way as a chip.  Even if you could find someone with the necessary skills to replace it, you would also have to re - write the bios to allow the new hardware - BIOS of HP have a 'white list' authorized equipment and anything not on the list will prevent starting laptop.

  • Effect of scrolling Jigsaw prevent the user to be able to move to the next item

    Hello

I used effects similar to former DPS items, but now it is really difficult to swipe to the next article with a large scroll frame that covers the majority of a page. Is this related to the OS7 update? Adobe has an example of this 'jigsaw' effect in the application of DPS tips (Advanced DPS Tips - Jigsaw scrolling effect overlays), and it seems to work perfectly without a hitch. Any ideas why this effect can be reproduced with the current version of the DPS/OS7? Am I missing something obvious? Thank you!

    Darin

Is your scrolling horizontal or vertical frame? If it is vertical, you should be able to go to the next page. If it is horizontal, a bug currently prevents you from swipe to the next article (or to the next page in an article "flattened"). This bug should be fixed in the January 11 release.
