  You use the function Worksheet.Copy. By design (and documentation), this function creates a new worksheet. If you want to replace the contents of a worksheet that you will need to copy the cells on the source worksheet and write to the target worksheet. To do this, you must use the Range object.

  2. If you print a printer status or self-assessment Test report, can you give me the a.) Product # and B.) Version of the firmware of the printer?

  I'm using labview in 2011 and I don't have the tolkit of report generation. My software create 3 or 4 excel files separately. Is there a way to combine all those who Excel in an excel (take the spreadsheet of all the excel files and merge them together into the new excel file...)

  You do that your spreadsheet with historical data is not the active worksheet? That would erase your previous test data and put the new test data in its place.

  The simplest approach is a workflow similar to this:

  (1) check if Excel file exists

  1A) If this is the case, create a new worksheet

  1 (b) if it is not, create a new Excel workbook

  (2) adding data

  (3) save the report

  (4) report close

  The report generation tool has screws that do everything most of these functions. To check if the file exists, it is in a separate palette.

  Use Excel to Worksheet.vi (from General Excel palette) to select the worksheet of the workbook and Excel Insert Object.vi (Excel advance palette) to add an image.

  Once again, thank you for your example, I have attached my vi doing exactly this:

  Opening excel file and provides a list of the names of worksheet in the workbook.

  It can be used as a Subvi to open the spreadsheet workbook/search by name and edit/modify cells etc.

  I have a spreadsheet with all the file names of my Sibelius (.sib) scores without import/y attach files to a 2011 Excel workbook. I tried different ways to help automate it, but it seems to only be able to export .txt files in Excel. On some combinations, I tried, even lets link you to files that I'm not interested by - all I want is a list (editable preference) of my file names so that you can see them all in one area and check what I have / I do not have.

  I use Yosemite 10.10.5 (I don't want to upgrade to El Capitan due to driver compatibility issues) and Microsoft Office for Mac 2011.

  I can't help you with Automator, but there is a solution.

  1. launch Firefox.

  2. drag the folder with the files in the Firefox window. (The example is a folder of image files)

  

  3 - Select all the entries on the page in Firefox:

  
  4 - Open Excel and paste it into a spreadsheet:

  

  5 - remove the size and last modified columns. To remove the links reformat the text column.

  I know this question has been asked and answered many times and I read a lot of posts about it.

  but none of the previous posts were really able to help me. so, here's my problem:

  I have to be able to prepare several text files and save the content of text files in a new file (text), and then paste this new text file into a new worksheet in an excel template.

  Here's what I did so far, I am able to read the 3 text file and concatenate all 3 files in a new text file, but when I transfer to Excel, it shows only a single file is pasted into the new worksheet in Excel.

  Alternatively, each of these text files spill in a new worksheet, or of several worksheets would be good too, if we do not have concatonate first text files.

  I hope someone can show me the way.

  Yes, do the different 'Start' cell each iteration. You can use the "next cell down to the left" If you want your data stacked vertically, or 'next cell up right' to get it stacked horizontally.

  

• Close Excel workbook ActiveX will not save

  I use ActiveX with Excel and try to save and close a workbook, but not to close the application.

  My question is twofold:

  1. Did you the latest changes on the computer?
  2. Exactly when you receive the error message? You are able to boot into Windows after the error message?
  3. You are able to print using WordPad or Notepad?
  4. What happens when you try to print using Microsoft word or excel?

  The stop error 0x0000008E occur mainly due to the following:

  • Drive hard damage
  • Problems of material General configuration with the BIOS, memory, hard drive, or with other devices
  • Incompatible device driver
  • Incompatible software

  Newly installed computer running win 8/64-bit and Office 2013.  Have Deskjet 3000 USB printers.  Last driver HP and the latest installed MSFT.

  Searched for this problem and most seem to be reoslved by changing the print quality settings, I tried all project photo and same result.

  When I print from Excel, I see my spreadsheet in the Preview Print print area is correct.  I click on print and if I quickly change the status of pinter I see document number go from zero to 1 and then back to zero what any windows spooler.  I also changed printer for any coil.

  I have no problem printing form other applications Office Word and PPT, or Adobe Reader or my browsers.  Just in Excel.

  Don't know where to go from here? I ran the HP diagnostic tools and they work very well and that you can get test pages printed on them as well as Windows itself.  No error messages at all when the problem occurs, the print file seems to disappear.  I can print in a file from Excel and then print this file if its PDF without problem.

  OK update:

  I removed the HP software and driver and simply use the native Windows 8 driver and everything is wonderful.  Seems strange that doesht mfg driver work but the Windows version only.  All that I know is just remove any HP software and the driver and just take the default of WIndows and life is perfect!

• Printer HP Photosmart B109am - will not print a worksheet.

  I just installed this printer on my desk.  The problem I have is that it will not print a worksheet that I made previously, it allows to print word documents.  I have Windows XP on my computer.  When I try to print the worksheet, an error appears on my computer saying: "Microsoft Works, out of Memory."

  Can anyone suggest what could be the problem?

  Hello.    Since my last post, I was able to fix my problem.   Before when I tried to print landscape I just went into my layout, orientation and clicked on the landscape.   But with this new printer, I also change the margins so and it seems to work.   I don't know why this happens with a spreadsheet, as I've not had to do with a word document.

  I've seen examples of this by using plugins, but mine is an Apex 3.2 application.

  You could use the package of Anton as_xls and manually get the queries for reports and write the results to the Excel file...
