Print in grayscale as color?

Hi Photoshoppers,

I'm using Elements 6 for Mac with OS 10.6. My printer is a Canon MG8120, which uses several cartridges color (including black and gray) and a cartridge of black pigment.

Today, I tried to print a document from line B & W, and it printed in a pale yellow. I tried an another doc B & W, and it is the same thing. I exported the .pdf documents as .jpeg, and they have appeared in B & W using the preview application.

In this case, all color in my printer carts are weak or ink. Only the black pgiment is full (I put it yesterday). So I wonder if my docs B & W have been printing the color of carts and not the carriage of black pigment. Maybe it's happening? Is it possible to get the PSE using the chariot of black pigment? Or something else happening?

Thank you.

Barbara,

I had the Print gray scale box checked throughout, so it probably wasn't there. Today, I've updated to the new printer driver has just been published, and now I can print real black. I don't know why it works, but it does, and I'm Movin ' on! Thank you very much for the help.

HP 4620, xp, how to print in grayscale from my ipad2, no printing options to choose from. Color print.

On Xp, have selections on printer set up.

Most people will use airprint for printing from a device like the ipad ios, and oes thisd not allow printing in grayscale and contains only very basic parameters.

The solution is to use the HP Eprint application that will give you greater control. You will need to print things in the app in order to obtain these settings, and only documents will give the option, no pictures.

  • Photosmart 8250: No "print in grayscale" in Snow Leopard

Well, I just realized that my trusty HP Photosmart 8250 I've had for 4 years (still works well... built like a Sherman tank) doesn't have the "print in grayscale" function in the menu settings print after I've updated for Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. Even after the update for new drivers from HP, Apple and 10.6.1, they still don't come back. It is a huge disappointment, because I've used this feature often enough, especially for only black text documents.

Inkjet printers HP or multifunction currently sold have the "print in grayscale" function under Snow Leopard, or plan to HP on adding this functionality in a future driver? I really didn't want to upgrade, as always, this printer works and has served me so well, but if he goes, it goes.

    Hello MFfan,

I think that grayscale printing is supported with inkjet printers HP and 10.6.  I don't have your exact model, but the feature set is pretty much the same for all HP inkjet printers.

I found the "Print in grayscale" option of the print - dialog box open the triangle so you see the print dialogue box extended.  Select the Type of paper/quality - open the triangle next to the menu of Options of color at the bottom in the center of the print dialog box.    In the "Color" menu, you should be able to choose the shades of gray, chip/sRGB color, etc.

I hope it works for you,

  • J4580 print cartridge problem: [Tri-Color] refer to the device Documentation

Well, I'm starting to feel like I knew better, buy another HP printer after dismal luck with two all-in-one before.

My J4580 already gives me headaches after only 6 or more months of use.

The unit refuses to print, declaring "print cartridge problem: [Tri-Color] refer to device Documentation to troubleshoot."  Nothing in the help documentation.  The Habs is always 90% full.  Sometimes pulling the Habs and placing back in crazy wil it restarting.  When it restarts, it prints perfectly.

I tried the ubiquitous "clean the contacts" and other instructions help generic that I saw, but those who were without help.  The "Solution Center (Yes, good)" appears and all ithas is a link to buy more ink (!).

Someone has an idea?  I'm about to throw it through the window of stores office, given that I can't throw it out the window of HP.

    Thank you!

Yes * I know * and I'm sorry that I forgot to come back here.  I had a major system crash and I had to reinstall a lot of drivers for my multimedia player, GPS, and printer (!).  As this occurs, the device did not return this error - touch wood.

  • XML report (with report.xsl stylesheet) print shows the font colors, but not highlight table colors

I try to print the XML report generated by TestStand as a PDF for archive.  When the XML report in Internet Explorer, everything seems fine - sequence names are highlighted in blue-green, the neck is green, in case of failure is highlighted in red.

However, when I print this page as a PDF (with BullZip PDF printer, or even the XPS printer), went to all the light of table layout.  The result of the object to be measured in the header is colored red or green depending on the State of pass/fail, but sequence and setting names in the form applied to the tables in the body of the report have no highlighting.

The stylesheet modifies what is returned when the XML file is printed?

    Matt

    Hey Matt,

It is in fact due to a default setting in Internet Explorer to not print the colors of background on Web pages. To change it, simply go to the configuration Page screen (on IE9, you click on the gear icon, then print > Page Setup) and select the option to print background images and colors. After doing this, the printed report must contain the colors you see on your screen.

What operating system?  For Windows 7, you would go to start, devices and printers, right click on the HP Deskjet 3050, printing preferences, select the paper/quality tab and some Plain paper media quick project, apply, then click on the Advanced tab and under the characteristics of the printer, select printing in levels of gray and black ink only, apply, OK.
