print landscape in duplex mode

HP Officejet 4500 G510g-m WINXP SP3

I am trying to print two-sided landscape on brochure three components in Microsoft Office Publisher 2003. Selection print double-sided (pre loaded) does not give me the option. Prints in portrait only.

Is there a solution?

Here's what I did: I want TO print on HP, triple glossy brochure paper, I did as follows.

  1. Open document, select print
  2. 2 Facer Duplex
  3. Type of paper = more
  4. = HP Brochure glossy paper brochure
  5. Print quality = best
  6. Check the box for the landscape
  7. Size = 8.5X11in
  8. 2 Facer print manual =
  9. Clik OK
  10. Print
  11. Follow on screen instructions for double-sided
  12. Fact

No problem! Took a bit to understand, but I knew that my new HP printer can do anything, if I just put MY mind to it.

  • OfficeJet 6500 printer ONLY print landscape

    Hi, I have an Officejet 6500 (E709n).  I also have Windows 7 64 bit.

I did nothing yet suddenly the printer started printing in landscape, even though my settings call for the portrait.  It has a new pop of the print window. (First default window appears select print, then it coils, then jumps to the top of the final window which is the new.) The following image is what I'm talking about.  All my settings are correctly defined and yet it still prints as shown in the picture.

    Hello MomToMVS

After looking into your problem, a bit I found a thread on another forum with what appears to be exactly the same problem. Below I will include a link the the wire and instructions on what has been done to solve the problem. I would like to know if it works or not.
    Firefox default print landscape

    1. in the web in Firefox address bar type about: config and press ENTER. (it can warn you about changing settings here just click OK to continue)
    2. Locate the print.printer_NAME OF PRINTER.print_orientation (where the PRINTER NAME is the name of your printer) and right click on it and click Reset.
    3. conclusion of the tab, and try again (it may be a good idea to restart Firefox first).

How to set the printer wireless ad Hoc mode to CP1025nw with automatic stop is off? IE never automatic.

Thank you very much for your help, if necessary.

Quite a few questions, send, but I will do what I can to answer them.

I recommend first to buy a router, even if it's one you won't connect to internet and it network with others your PC and printer. This will give you the best features and the results of what you're trying to do.

In addition, the automatic stop of the printer function can be disabled and is not affected by the type of connection. Usually, you can go through the configuration Menu and select tools to change the options there on the energy saving features.

Finally, the auto off function on your computer is a Windows question, but one easy answer. If you're on a laptop, you can right click on the battery in the tray (lower right corner) and change the settings for energy conservation.

You might be better off installing the printer via the USB cord and alternately inspiring when you use it, but which is not optimal if you are printing only a few documents on an irregular basis. A network connection is the easiest to manage across multiple computers, honesty, but you have certain requirements for this connection and limits as well.

I hope this information is useful!

    Hi @JNBLanocha

My stomach says mt that perhaps you have the printer USB cable connected to a USB 3.0 port on your computer instead of a 2.0 port. The image below is some examples of 3.0 ports.

3.0 ports are supposed to be backwards compatible, but I've seen questions arise.

    I wonder if the cable you are using is the computer and causing problems pulling power. All I can do at this stage is to assume and to gather information. Please post back with the answers to the following questions;

    1. You have a USB connection
    2. If the USB is connected, you use a 2.0 port or 3.0?
    3. Again, if you use a USB connection type, have you tried another USB cable? It could be a cable problem.
    4. You put XP or you remove XP and install Windows 7?
    5. You have your printer connected directly to a power outlet, or you are using a power strip/bar, or a surge protector?
    6. Now this may sound silly, but you have a timer on your computer, such as the hibernate after so many minutes and maybe the computer and the printer are set at the same, it is possible the moment closures / sleep coincide.

I look forward to hear from you and to work towards a solution.

  • Photosmart c3180: c3180 will only print in fast draft mode

I can only print in fast draft mode.  If I try fast normal, normal, or best etc. the paper through the machine and it spits out without printing. If I have multiple pages to print, it only spits out a no printed page and then closes.   I tried to print in many different programs and they all have the same law.  It makes no difference if it is color or black and white.

    Hi @kbsh9884

I think it would be better to start our trip troubleshooting by running the print and Scan Doctor (PSDR). Printing HP and doctor Scan is a free utility (tool) that allows to quickly solve common printing, scanning and connectivity problems, including but not limited to:

  • LaserJet P1102: do not print landscape

It is surely not normal... I just said my new P1102 cannot print landscape.

I have not heard this kind of thing being said since about 1987 Symphony finally worked out how to print spreadsheets in format landscape.

    Surely this is not right?

Can peope really even printers that can't print landscape?

My problem is this, my old HP printer died recently, so I bought this new, the P1102. Worked great until I tried to print the Excel calendar in the landscape. Just wouldn't do, just do print portrait regardless of what I tried to change the settings.

Try printing landscape in other software too, but only ever printed portrait.

Can someone either help me solve this oooooor (gulp...) confirm that this new printer can not print landscape.

I am astounded that there are always done printers that can't print landscape... say it isn't so... Please...

Incredible... I answer to my own problem of forum here as Support HP were unable to help me.

My original problem was that I couldn't print any form on my new Laserjet P1102 landscape software.

I called and they told me that P1102 'n' print landscape.

    I was stunned.

Then the guy said that he was jumping on my computer to see if there was anything he could do, he did, and then confirmed my printer CANNOT print landscape.

Confused I checked then a colleague who also has a P1102 (where my purchase) who say that he has no problem printing landscape at all.

    What the...

I then noticed something... in my list of printers and devices, the new P1102 was referenced as follows:-

    XPS HP Professional Laserjet P1102...

What is XPS......? ! My colleagues didn't say that.

So I uninstalled the printer and re-installed. Now works fine and prints landscape most certainly!

No idea what is XPS or why he was there, I do not, my printer now works fine, but HOW ON EARTH, a HP technical support guys can say this printer does not print landscape is beyond me. Easy to miss the XPS thing perhaps, but I can't imagine there was a printer cannot print landscape for 30 years so why he said that I have no idea.

Thus, no faith in the team of support here, I'm afraid. Google has more help.

  • ALL-IN-ONE PHOTOSMART HP 5510 WILL NOT PRINT AFTER GO 'SLEEP' MODE

    My printer model:

    HP PHOTOSMART ALL-IN-ONE 5510 B111A

    Problem:

Printer goes into sleep mode. After 25-30 minutes breaks the connection between the PC and the printer wireless. Beacon wireless is the same fashionable "sleep" and I see that the printer is connected to my router and there is internet connection. HP Print and Scan doctor sees the printer, but I can't wake the printer unless I restart it.

    What I've tried so far:

I tried all the solutions offered hp.com; Reinstall driver, updating the printer software, setting static IP on the printer, static DNS servers, using HP print and Scan doctor.

I've seen people questioned on this issue before and there is no solution. I really need help from HP!

After days of research, the problem was finally solved! I applied the following steps below. Some steps may be unnecessary, I didn't waste my time knowing who.

    1. find your PC's DNS servers by typing ipconfig/all in CMD.
    2. assign a static IP address outside your DHCP range. For my Linksys router him between 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.150. So I put my static IP address as 192.168.1.20.

To do this, click the button on your printer wireless. This will show the IP address of your printer. This type of your browser. Go/network/network address. Choose manual IP and write 192.168.1.20

3 now come to section of the manual DNS server, and then type your DNS servers, you found before.

    4. open your HP printer program that must be installed with your driver. Utilities hit and update the IP address. Update your address with your static IP address.

    5. now go to your router settings. Find the wireless settings and change your not automatic standard 20 MHz radio band.

    6. change your standard channel to 6.

7 find the wireless security and replace your WPA-personal security mode.

    8 disable UPnP

    9. This is the part of the KEY. Change the renewal of your key to 36000 seconds. (10 hours)

10 go to the Windows Advanced Firewall. Enable all the disabled printer and share, entrants and outbond rules.
I believe that the most important parts are affecting a static IP address outside your DHCP-range and change the key renewal time. I hope this works for you too

  • Adobe Acrobat DC stuck on printing landscape

No matter what I do, Adobe Acrobat DC insists on printing landscape. I made sure that the paper size is 8.5 "x 11". I put it to print the portrait in the printer properties, as well as in the Acrobat dialog box. It still prints landscape. I can close Acrobat DC and open the file in Acrobat Reader, and it prints portrait without any problem. After doing so, if I reopen it Acrobat DC, it displays the portrait of document, it displays the appropriate paper size and in its dialog box print it shows that the picture will be printed. Then, when I send to print, it prints landscape. It's rather tedious to create the document in Acrobat DC and have to close it in order to print in Acrobat Reader. (Did I mention that I hate "DC"? Worst version ever.)

Anyone have any ideas on how to correct this wayward child?

In the end, the only thing that has worked is a uninstall and reinstall Acrobat.

  • Print booklets - not duplex printer

I print a booklet of 8 pages on the leaves of two 12 x 18 and my printer will not duplex print.

I need to print the "spreads" strange first and then feed them through for the even side... don't see any obvious way to do it.

It seems disables Indesign 'sequence of page' for the print margins and booklets.

Ah, didn't know the bleeding. So I guess you are Reaper 3 edges as well?

I myself use a plug-in tax. Well, when I do the books anyway. All I can think about at this point is to kill inside bleed but I have not tried to do a book like this before.

  • Duplex mode or physical switch

    VMware dear Experts,

My vmnic can support the connection of 1 GB, this is the snapshot of the same thing.

    vmnics.JPG

but when I see vmnic0 in networking vswitch page it shows 100 complete, here is the snap of the same thing.

    Duplex.JPG

but when I try to reconfigure the 100 to 1000 Full duplex, the connection of vmnic is broken / disconnected, please help me with the same.

    Concerning

    MrVMware

If this does not work in full mode 100 should not be expected to work in 1000 complete without changes in the configuration of the physical switch.

I recommend you to make sure that the physical switch is set to AUTO and set the same on the ESXi vmnic. There is very little reason these days of hard to set the duplex mode.

  • How can I print black ink only automatic duplex mode for Officejet 6500?

When I set the printer to automatically print on both sides, it allows only color or grayscale of high quality as print color options.  If I print on one side, then I have a third option for black ink only.  Does anyone know how to get black ink only when getting both sides to print automatically?

Sorry, this is not an option.  When printing on the front of a page in duplex black is underprinted with color to make the 'together' impression and dry faster.  Thus "black only" is not an option when you print duplex pages automatically.

  • How to print manual duplex mode with mac?

I can print in the manual duplex option: it is absent.

Whith windows operating system, it is available.

    Hello
To perform manual duplexing, Joanie you use the Pages to the printer setting, you can find below:
    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01663233

Another alternative, you can use is the HP two-sided printing software:
    http://FTP.HP.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL35975/MP-88750-2/HP_Two-sided_Printing.dmg
You can access this tool by clicking the PDF button at the bottom of the print dialog box, and then select double-sided printing and follow the on-screen instructions.

    Kind regards

  • OfficeJet Pro 8610: Officejet Pro 8610 does not print in duplex mode

A padlock icon covers each icon on the "printing preferences" dialog box.  Have removed and reintalled printer on my laptop without change.  Printer is on the home network wireless.

Have also tried to connect via USB without effect.

No Director of home wireless network... just plug and play.

    Hello JonesLW1,

The locks are locked with the presets under Printer preferences.

If you click on the padlock general impression every day , on the right, there are pre-defined settings, such as PaperType, PrintQuality. If you happen to change the preset values, then an instance specified User Configuration of printer will be created.

    Hey @mrz,

I think that you are having a hardware failure with your printing system. If you want to change the back driver just follow the steps below:

    1. Click on the Start menu
    2. Select the devices and printers
    3. In the devices and printers folder right click on your Photosmart C6250 and left-click on properties of the printer
    4. Left click on the Advanced tab
    5. Click the dropdown for driver and everything just move it back to your Photosmart driver.
    6. Select apply and then OK to save the changes to driver.

With regard to an all-in-one who would be on your needs and is economical on ink I would propose a HP Officejet 8610 e-all-in-one or an Officejet 8620 e-all-in-one.

HP Officejet 8610 and Officejet 8620 purchase price

Both printers have the same exact capabilities, but the 8620 Officejet has a slightly larger screen and duplex can copy and scan as well.

Here are the specifications for these printers:

    Features of HP Officejet 8610

    Features of HP Officejet 8620

The Officejet 8610 and 8620 have a removable printhead that adapt the 4 cartridges. The print head is covered by the manufacturer's warranty and any HP extended warranty that you can buy. By so if the printhead fails it will be replaced without cost to you with 4 new cartridges. There is a black cartridge, cyan, magenta and yellow that come with your printer.

The performance of standard page for cartridges are:

    Black - 1000 pages

    Cyan - 700 pages

    Yellow-700 pages

    Magenta - 700 pages

This size is supplied with the printer in the box.

    Extra-large performance for cartridges are:

    Black - 2300 pages

    Cyan - 1500 pages

    Yellow-1500 pages

    Magenta - 1500 pages

Even though this model is an Officejet printer, its print system still allows you to print photos and documents. This makes it compatible with Matt and glossy photo paper.

I wish you good luck with your decision. Thanks again for joining the Forums of HP Support! Take care
