Print booklets - not duplex printer

I print a booklet of 8 pages on the leaves of two 12 x 18 and my printer will not duplex print.

I need to print the "spreads" strange first and then feed them through for the even side... don't see any obvious way to do it.

It seems disables Indesign 'sequence of page' for the print margins and booklets.

Ah, didn't know the bleeding. So I guess you are Reaper 3 edges as well?

I myself use a plug-in tax. Well, when I do the books anyway. All I can think about at this point is to kill inside bleed but I have not tried to do a book like this before.

  • HP LaserJet P1606dn Professional - do not Duplex correctly when running on Windows Vista 64 - bit OS

I have connected this printer (via USB) to the PC running Vista 32-bit, Windows 7 32-bit and Windows 7 64 - bit, and the printer works fine double-sided printing. He behaves badly only when running under Vista Ultmate 64 bit (SP 2). "Misconduct", it's that it is not duplex correctly when you return to the long side of the book (the normal way you duplex)-it always falls on the short side of the book in any application I try on any type of duplex setting. I installed the latest drivers. I suspect that we have a problem of driver here.

In one of the other HP forums, I noticed that this same issue existed on jet printers to all-in-one HP ink several years (and HP has released patches for those), but I couldn't find any announcement for my laserjet model. Can someone tell me a patch for my model on this issue?

    Hi SteveCT99,

Since then, you indicate that the duplex works fine on all other computers except the computer Vista. Follow the steps below to uninstall and reinstall the printer.

    1. open Control Panel

    2. click on uninstall a program

3 uninstall the 1606dn Laserjet list

    4 restart your computer

    5. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

    http://www.Adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

6 download the drivers and full software functionality, and then reinstall the printer.

  • CP2025 on Win7 64 bit will not duplex automatically

I bought a new computer with Win 7 64 bit and have had problems to my LaserJet CP2025dn printer works properly.  It worked well on my Win 7 32 bit machine.  I loaded the drivers from the HP support page and got the thing working, but now it will not duplex auto.  The manual is the only option on the preferences page.  Any ideas?

The duplexer can must be enabled in the driver, as described in the first part of the Vista/Windows 7 Duplex Printing solutions to the problems.

  • HP C7280 not duplex print. Possibility to choose the duplex unit installed is grayed out.

I am running Windows 7, 64 bit. The duplexer is installed and worked recently when printing a web page. That's why I know it works but I can't print two against any other time. I am not even able to choose the duplex unit installed in the menu options. all the drivers are up to date. In addition, they had a driver update that came out in 2010 for the duplexer and when I tried to install, I got an error saying that it was not compatible Windows 7. Any ideas?

The duplexer must be selected in the desdcribed for Vista/Windows 7 Duplex Printing Guide here.

  • Error printing settings Incompatible HP7130 - will not duplex PC but photocopy double face

My HP7130 worked very well in WinXP. I have improved my desktop for Win8 and lost HP Director software (that I have prepared for) and also double sided printing which I was not!

As I have a laptop running XP Pro I thought the original on HP software and have HP Director and duplex printing available if I needed. After, I was surprised to find that I still can't duplex.

When I go into the settings and select double-sided I get an error of incompatible print settings.

"One of the conflicting settings is:"

Print on both sides: Flip on long edge (Standard)

    "Media type: auto".

Can I change Flip between Long and short, but the error persists.

Everything I put the media Type from automatic (regular paper, paper HP Bright White etc.), it triggers the error.

All advice appreciated that I expect Win8 specific drivers or software for the HP7130 any time soon!

Certainly there must be a simple sollution somewhere in the settings?

Yes, follow these instructions and check these variables of pilot and see if they work. The Deskjet 9800 can also work as well.

  • Printer not duplex in Windows 7.

After switching to windows 7, XP, I can't print duplex automatically (HP Laserjet P4014dn). It is a network printer, do not directly connected to my computer. I searched in the MS forums and they directed me to a link at HP for help. HP said to uninstall the Windows 7 printer driver and install the driver HP. Windows 7 won't let me not uninstall the printer driver (says that it is in use and cannot be deleted). Any ideas?

Thank you for your response. I have corrected the problem. I used the disk from the manufacturer to install the driver, as if I had to install a new printer. Printers and devices on Windows 7 then show that I had 2 HP printers installed. Then I could delete the printer with the default windows driver and do the newly installed printer, the default printer. The duplex function now works correctly.

  • This officejet pro 8600 is not duplex scan size of different pages, only the size of page letter

I have a desktop hp jet pro 8600 and printer. My original printer scanned pages front and back of different sizes, the printer stopped scanning properly and I replaced with the same model. Now, this printer can not scan other than letter size paper. I can only scan two-sided letter-size pages! The reason why I bought this printer has been for its scanning capabilities. I talked to support HP they said it scans only some dimensions of the page in duplex mode. Please HP DIFFICULTY this problem and give your customers the ability to SCAN RECTO VERSO DIFFERENT SIZES of PAGE. I've been with hp for many years, printers, laptops and a computer

    Message reads

"The document feeder only supports analysis for some sizes of paper double-sided. If your original is too long or short, use the scanner glass.

HP I'm supposed to use glass scanner page-by-page, I bought a officejet pro for special to spend less time scanning features manually. I wonder what the reason for this restriction of page size, it worked on my previous printer.

I solved this problem without downgrading the firmware to version CLP1CN1232AR.

I downloaded and installed HP Web Jetadmin to do this (www. HP.com/go /webjetadmin). Then, I followed the instructions on the manual (http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01943164.pdf) to activate this option.

The image I used was obtained on the HP ftp site: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/networking/software/pfirmware

The name of the image is: ojpro_8600_n911_g_n_1232A_09272012.ful.rfu

Now, I can scan both sides of the legal size.

  • Color laserjet 4700dn: color laserjet 4700dn will not duplex with upd

    Hello

I'm trying to place drivers for our color laserjet 4700dn via login script. The only driver available on HP downloads for this model is the universal printer driver. When I install the printer and let Windows 7 uses the pilot that it downloads from Windows Update it duplex very well but I can't find where to download this driver package, so I'm stuck with the universal printer driver if I want to withdraw what my login script.

With the UPD if I select duplex printer just ignores the setting and proceed to print single-sided. If I set the default forward on duplex printer preferences and then print from an application, it works but then I have to go back and change the preferences or each job prints duplex.

I hope that someone knows a fix for the duplex problem UPD or there maybe somewhere else I can download the specific driver for 4700dn color under Windows 7 64-bit, which would be even better. Otherwise I'll be stuck manually install the printer every time I created a new workstation.

    Thanks for your suggestions.

I finally found a driver that I can ride if a login script that works for double-sided printing with our Win7 64 bit workstations. Here is a link to the site in case it's useful for someone else is trying to spread out the drivers.

    I used one called:

"Driver HP Color LaserJet 4700 PCL5 64-bit (for use with AMD Athlon 64, AMD Opteron, Intel Xeon and Pentium 4 with EMT64) - Windows XP/2003/Vista/2008 (64-bit).

Tried to download, reloading and passing through the HP website Driver with Win 8 different drivers.  It seems to be a track around the site of HP, rather than let me download a working driver, kept asking me to do surveys.   Just want to people to support their business printers expensive printing double-sided with pilots for years, please.  He spent two hours working on it last night, no luck. Very basic print function only page comes and all the old useful printing options are deleted after Windows 8-64.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8620: Printing of booklet with Mac

After having bought an Officejet Pro 8620, with the promise of this feature announced, I'm disaapointed find seems impossible from the downloaded Mac printer driver print booklet. Menu grayed out in the menu choices "booklet" dropdown "duplex" in the page layout section, but no combination of settings don't seem to make it active. Booklet printing is mentioned in the manual under settings Windows, but not Mac. Indispensable for me, this feature can be enabled and if so, how?

    Hi @JAC_330,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

A good part of my research, I was beginning to think I was going crazy and it wasn't an option on the Mac, but I think I found the problem. The booklet option that you see is gray it seems to be due to the HP driver.

If you install the printer using the driver AirPrint (first bullet under #4) you should then be able to select this option booklet. I was able to see it using the AirPrint driver in TextEdit.

  • automatic duplex printing in mac os x 10.8 onM51dn

MacBook Pro retina using OS X 10.8.4. Just bought LaserJet M551dn do duplex printing. Much to my dismay, it does not duplex in Word, PDF, etc.

Opened options of pinter and supplies, check the box of the duplex unit, etc.. No chance!

This seems to be a problem quite common-someone ' one can offer help/solution?

    Thank you very much

I recomment reset the printing system and check to see if that can help you:

    * Be aware that reset the printer system will eliminate any existing queue and reset all custom settings driver.

Click on the Apple menu and then click on System Preferences.
    Select Print & Scan.
Right click (or Ctrl + click) your product with the Printers list in the left panel and then click on reset printing system.
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type your user name and password.
Click OK. The printing system resets.

Now click on the sign, add the printer and check if the duplexer remains enabled.

If the same persists I would reomment to the duplexer from the interface of CUPS by visiting 631 / admin, you should see an option to activate the duplexer as well.

If the interface disabled by default, go to utilities > Terminal and type the following command to enable:

    sudo cupsctl WebInterface=yes

  • LaserJet Pro 400 M401dne problem Duplex - duplex printing on its own from Windows computers.

401dne's all jobs from two sided printing windows different computers even if I did not turn on "Print we Both Sides" in the properties of the printer from any application. I even check it whenever I print. A MacBook Pro with OSX 10.8 also have printing on this printer and is not Duplex no print jobs. Note This duplexing on its own comes in all applications (printing from IE, Office 2013 etc.).

I upgraded to the latest firmware and update the latest drivers to print (complete solution install). A printer connected via network domestic (hard wired ethernet to the router) being accessible by two computers Windows and a Mac.

How can I fix this to the o of Windows computers, I can print on the front of each page only, when I want to.

    Thank you

Problem solved. I contacted HP Support by Chat online and we opted for the PS driver. It works correctly, a face print individual pages, Duplex prints two pages on one. So yes, the PCL6 driver is deficient.
