  • OfficeJet 6800 will not be printed on cardstock

I just bought an Officejet 6800 Premium, and it will not print on cardstock. I get a message "on paper." I followed all the troubleshooting steps, nothing helps. At the end of troubleshooting, it is said that, if the printer will print on paper plan but not on a specialty paper, the problem is the book, not the printer. There must be a solution to this problem. A printer this sophisticated (any printer, really) should be able to print on cardstock. I called technical support and the Republic did not know what cardstock, and when I explained, he told me that printing on cardstock is not in the product, if the printer should not be expected to do. There must be a solution. Ideas?

PROBLEM SOLVED! Instead use the 'card' setting in the properties of the printer, use one for heavy weight paper.

  • Print with cardstock on HP Envy 4501

I found on the internet that my Hp Envy 4501 allows you to print with cardstock.

I also met the step by step instructions how to switch your printer to print on cardstock. My problem is when I try to choose a different type of paper, I did not cardstock option. It gives me only options for paper photo and if it is glossy or matte. So my question is can my printer print on cardstock? If so, which option is my best choice to choose when you change the paper, and what type of cardboard can be used?

Thanks in advance for helping me with my questions!

I just spent over an hour on the phone with tech support trying to 1 million different options to allow me to print. A week ago, I bought this printer to print on cards for the baptism of my son (in 2 days) and he refuses to print on thick paper. I need to get there as soon as POSSIBLE. I find it very difficult to believe that this 'thing' print on photo paper but impossible to print on card stock of all things. Help, please! If HP someone sees my case number is 3028801369. Thank you.

    Hi @mirurzun,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your printing problem.

I understand that you use a HP ENVY 5660 e-all-in-one printer with a Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan computer and you cannot print on thick paper with success. I would like to help with that.

I went and checked the case created by the agent who you work with. He noted that the end of the document appeared at the top of the card stock, but when you use plain paper it printed fine.

I called HP ENVY 5660 e-all-in-one printer (F8B04A) specifications and found that cardboard did not appear as a type supported media which is probably why you are not able to make it work.

  • Cardstock printing on HP Officejet 8600

    Hello...

I see recommendations on how to print on cardstock under Mac OSx (10.8) under the heading "How to print cardstock on HP Officejet 8600?"  I can't find the settings mentioned in this thread, and when I asked more information received no answer so I decided to start this new thread here.

I just installed my 8600 + and cannot print cardstock, get a message ' paper', and I hope that there is some form of a 'paper' setting but cannot find where it would be.

    Any help?  Thank you.

  • How to print on wove paper

    Computer is iMac 9.1.

Printer is a HP Officejet Pro 8500 first model A909n

    Operating system is?

I try to print a Microsoft Word document Mac on vellum.

I get an error message "paper size or type is incorrect."

    I use vellum 8 1/2 "x 11".

When I click on the "Copies & Pages" drop down print screen, none of the options display vellum in option.

I tried to click on the "other document" options, but none have worked yet.

    Help!

    Dear MBJustice:

I was about to give up.   I was almost defeated.  I can print on cardstock 110 lbs, but not on vellum.  This mediocre vellum sheet has been rejected several times to a 1st time home buyer in a tight credit market.

But then - success!  There is NO adjustment on a HP Officejet Pro 8500 Prime Minister which will be printed on vellum.  I tried all.

He must trap this picky printer in glue the edge power of regular vellum of a sheet of paper for printer.  Set the printer to 'quick project' and - presto-o magic - it prints!

When our House is struck by lightning, this summer and we have to replace this printer, I'll find the one that allows to print on vellum.  Problem solved!

Thank you very much for your help!

  • Can I print my own business cards using HP phtosmart?

I have a HPC4500. Y at - it software to print business cards customized with a picture on them?

    Jugo,

What I would recommend you do is to download the Avery Label Pro add-in for Word and use it. What we must remember what using it however, is change print you 8.5 x 11 borderless settings when printing. Otherwise, your business cards print about 1/4 inch, especially towards the bottom of the page.

You can print on cardstock and cut out them yourself or use business cards Avery.

  • PhotoSmart 5512 no black ink printing

Hi all.  I have a PhotoSmart 5512 who has recently stopped printing black ink.  Before we get into all that, here is some basic information:

Primary computer: MacBook Pro OS 10.9.2

    Connection: On home WiFi network

Recent changes: black ink cartridge changed (twice), no network changes

I serve this 5512 without problems since we bought it in August 2012. Recently, it stopped printing black ink. I checked the levels and it seemed to be close to empty (by using the form on the printer and Mac methods of control levels). I replaced the black cartridge with a black cartridge HP 564XL black. Installation, I ran the "clean printer heads" several times, but still saw no black ink. All I get on the print are the various boxes of colors at the bottom of the page.

Yet once, I replaced the black cartridge with a new black cartridge HP 564XL black.  Once again, to the installation, I ran the 'Clean Printer Heads' several times, but still not seen any black ink.

I removed the cartridge and checked the filter between the cartridge and print head. He had a cool on black ink. This makes me think that the printer is properly pulling the cartridge ink and sending it to the head print correctly, but for some reason, this isn't making it by the head of the printer correctly.

I followed the steps on this page (found in another similar post), although I have not yet submitted the printer for maintenance.

Help, please. I am a teacher by class 1 and almost all print on cardstock color for my students.  Not having do not access to home printing has really took me by surprise.

    Thanks for your help.
