Print photos too red

I am running Windows XP. I've tried everything. Photo cartridge shows that it is not empty. Tried to reinstall the software, update drivers, different papers, disconnect, restart, heads of cleaning cartridge, realign and various settings of the printer. It prints too much red when I choose grayscale. Help, please!

Linda, if you follow these steps, then you're already ensure the longevity of your cartridges. HP cartridges have a duration of 1 to 2 years. However, if your cartridge is really expired, HP cannot guarantee the integrity of the printout made with these cartridges.

Why the instructions regarding the removal and replacement of cartridges expired is crucial is because expired ink can damage your entire ink system and cause permanent damage to the printer.

My recommendation would be to replace the cartridges expired with genuine HP cartridges, not completed as soon as possible.

I hope this helps!

  • Example: Want 5532: print photos with red stripes through them

I have a printer Envy 5532. If I print from an sd picture card print ok, copy a photo directly from the scanner prints perfectly, but if I print photos already stored on my computer they thin red lines randomly through them.

    Hello

Thank you for your response. Now, I found that my problem was actually confused by a number of coincidences.

I install the printer and run test print page & copied from the scanner and printing from an sd card until the problem of the "band" appeared. When I tried to print from a photo already stored on the computer, it was when he showed first really upward. I ran the Print Tool of doctor and no problems have been reported. Similarly, the printed test page seemed ok even though of course only small colored sections there. Finally, after running test after test, the ink ran out and I had to put in a new cartridge - Eureka! problem disappeared.

I find, therefore, that I had a faulty cartridge that was causing the problem. I have since run a photo on the 'best quality' on Photo paper and it looks perfect. The high price of the cartridges, it was a costly exercise, but at least I'm now able to print my photos which is what I bought it for.

Thanks for the quick response. The solution, however, was that I should address both the printer and the PC-program (Photoshop Elements) which colorprofile to use and also if the printer or PC to control the colors.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: Printing photos - too yellow

    Hello

Whenever I try to print photos from my Mac to my officejet pro they have too warm/yellow.  I calibrated my monitor with a Spyder Elite 4.  Yes I know there is a difference between the light reflected and planned but this yellowing is great, people are not 'tired' looking - they grow soured range...

Is there a way to specify the way a different ICC when printing on a Mac?  I'm trying to print from Lightroom CC edition is of no importance.

    Thank you.

    Hello

Finally understood my problem.  My problem is that my monitor while it is calibrated, was not accurately reflecting the white balance of the picture.  Thus, while the photo looked GREAT on my screen, it was distorted "hot" which appeared in print.

White balance setting solves the problem.

  • HP Envy 4504: Envy 4504 photo prints too red with print quality = better

    Hello

    I hope someone can help.

On my HP Envy 4504 photos are printed OK print normal quality, but when the print quality is set to best photos are printed to the red. In addition, with DPI Maximum printing photos are much too red.

This takes place two times printed on paper Normal and on Photo paper

With the GIMP, I tried to make an example of how a photoprint looks like.

I made the example by changing the color Balance: Red cyan - about + 40:

    (my GIMP is Dutch...)

    Here is the result:

LEFT: Photo printed in normal quality; Photo on the RIGHT printed in better quality:

I have already completely remove the software HP Envy and did a clean reinstall. No change.

I have print-head - cleaning cycles (2 times); color of HP-testprint strips looks very good: all are strong in alignment is correct

Unfortunately: No picture change in best quality still too red.

    The ink levels are okay.

Any suggestions what is wrong and what can solve this problem?

    Thank you for your support

  • Collection of wet ink when printing photos

The ink is wet when you print photos on photo paper. I changed the drying time. I've never had this problem before. I even bought HP photo paper just to see if this could be it. It did not work. I can print pictures in color on plain paper. But any kind of photo paper smear/bleeding/tracks. I'm also real HP ink... no refills. Any ideas how I can get the printer to print photos again on photo paper? I read a few similar posts online and the information was not too favorable of HP, saying that the customer service is not useful, and there has been no resolution. I hope that this 'special support day' will be just what I need. Thanks in advance for your help.

What kind of paper?  Make sure that you use paper designed for inkjet printing.

  • HP 7520 print Photos

    Whenever I buy HP7520 ink cartridges, I received a pack of paper picture 5 x 7 & envelopes.

What are the steps to print using these maps?

I would like to print text on these cards as well.  Is it possible to configure the printer to print a document?

    FARWELL,

Welcome to the Community Forum of HP.

You can use the 5 X 7 Photo paper to print photos OR print documents small - or a mixed picture and document output (text).

    • The following example assumes that you have access to Office Word.  The example uses Word 2010.  You can use any Word as similar application to create your document.
    • The actual configuration for the printer and the paper can be used independently of the application that allows you to provide the actual document / picture for output.

    ============================================================================

    • Remove any paper you have in the background, the main tray in the printer 7520.
    • The top photo tray can be removed; simply lift upward and out of the way.  Put it somewhere safe.
    • Replace the regular printing paper with your Photo 5 X 7 HP - place photo paper so paper the side on which the photo or the text will be printed is 'down', that is, against the bottom of the bin.
    • Along the left side of the main tray, find a quite difficult to move the scroll bar.  If you place your hand upward and inside the status bar, a little, there is a Gash along the bar that can you help drag you the bar to the right, so you can move the bar tight but not too tight against the paper 5 X 7.  Do not force the slider bar, he's stubborn, but it moves with a little effort and slight pressure.
    • Replace the tray photo albums in its correct location above the main tray.
    • Close the door before tiny for the main tray.

What follows assumes you have your options set up Word Ribbon / visible.

    Open Word > layout > size 5 X 7

    Next... Margins > moderate

Next... Home > select your text, text size > enter your text

    Next... Insert pictures, Images, Clip-Art

Next... Save your file / work

Next... File > print > printer properties >

    Under paper / quality >

    Paper source > main tray

    > 5 X 7 in. paper size.

Media > HP Premium Plus Photo papers (or any photo paper is appropriate for your configuration)

    Ok

    Click PRINT

    Pouf!  Document with images / photos 5 X 7

  • HP Photosmart c4200 all-in-one printer, photo printing

I try to print an image that is on my pc. Whenever I try to print, photo paper comes out with nothing on the face bright and streaks of ink on the back or he is also dating a little of my printed image but the bad colors. I tried changing the settings to see if this can help, but nothing. I would really appreciate the help.

    Hi lvalente11,

Since all settings are set correctly and that the paper is not feeding properly, it would be a problem with the hardware with the printer. You use the supported HP Advanced Photo Paper, paper too long that the appropriate paper type is selected, then it wouldn't be a problem with the driver.

Dust and dirt from the air can build up on the rollers, making them smooth. If the document does not proceed at the correct pace thanks to the printer, it may cause this problem. Proceed to Solution 4: clean the rolls of paper in this document to see if it will help.

'Paper jam' Message displays on the all-in-one.

  • How can I get my printer to print photos on photo paper high gloss?

HP Photosmart C309n all-in-one - Windows XP no matter what setting of selected paper, print photos on photo paper high gloss with too much ink - like printing on plain paper or matte photo paper.

When I tried E * n photo paper in the main tray, the result was recognizable, but all shades of green. I replaced the two blacks and the result was just, but with a pink hue. I replaced all the colors - lead better, but dark and a little too dark in some areas. Even with HP Advanced Glossy and E * n Premium High Gloss.

  • The printer refuses to mix 2 cartridges to print photo (color + black)

    Hello.

I have printer HP Officejet 4500 Wireless.

It works fine, but at the last moment, there is a problem.

When I want to print a photo to the printer refuses to mix cartridges (black + color) in the field of photography.

For example if I want to print a photo.

I can print it as a black and white using the black cartridge (by action) OR I can print with the color cartridge only.

When I print color photo black colors ARE NOT black... It is a mixture of colours (red + blue + yellow)...

The printer refuses to use 2 cartridges at the same time on the same area... Why?

When I print a document with images, it prints the text in black, the color of the text, but in the field of photography, he refuses to add the color black... It simulate the black by mixing of the colors(Red+Blue+Yellow)... Why?

It is only in the AREA that this printer has to use 2 cartridges at the same time in the same place...

I have 2 cartridges, one black and the other is colored (red, blue, yellow).

I recharge them and everything is fine... I have printed a lot of pictures...

The printer considers a HALF FILLED and printed all that I need very good, expect pictures...

THE PROBLEM APPEARED A WEEK AGO... NOTHING HAS CHANGED...

I USED TO PRINT PHOTOS AND HE DIDN'T FAKE THE BLACK COLOR...

That's the problem for me... Because all the photos I print is delivered with a ridiculous BLACK color...

PS - I understand electronic and parameters. I tried to change the settings of the printer and I tried to change the settings on the computer to change the color settings. I tried to use Photoshop with PRO settings for color printing.

    SOLVED!

I changed the settings of paper to Matte 'Photo' (although the photo paper is any MAST)

But now the printer uses a 2 cartridge.

  • HP Envy 7640: Printing photos

I am trying to print photos using the main tray with plain paper and it will not be printed.  He tells me to load paper into the photo tray.  I've tried which as well and it still does not.  But I want to print from the main tray.

    Hi @TRG8,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your printing problem.

I understand that you use a HP ENVY 7640 e-all-in-one printer with a Windows XP computer and you were trying to print photos from the main tray on plain paper, but the software tells you to load paper into the photo tray, which you did, but it still does not work. I would like to help with that.

It looks like a problem of printer settings as perhaps you do not have the main tray selected as the input source, but try to download and run the HP print and Scan Doctor to see if everything is OK with the drivers and the software of the printer.

If the HP print and Scan Doctor detects no problem, it is perhaps a matter of settings. Here is a document of support that can help ensure the setting of the impression are set the way you need them - Print Photos. On the Paper Type/quality tab, that you want to make sure that the main tray is selected as the Paper Source, or Photo tray if you want to print on photo paper.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

  • Satellite C650D - I can print photos, but can not print text

I have the Satellite C650D I can print photos on my printer but cannot print text.

    How can I fix?

To be honest I don't think that is the related issue of Toshiba and you should check with the manufacturer of the printer. They should help you with these questions.

We do not know what printer you have and what you're doing exactly, but if the printer is installed, recognized and correctly connected everything should be OK, especially if you use Office Word and you want to print a document.

Sorry, but after reading your problem description one sentence, it is not possible to say anything that will help you.
Contact the manufacturer of the printer s technical support and try to clarify this.
