printer connection

I recently bought a hp Pavilion p6 2335ea to replace an old pc from dell.  Two dell computers were connected to my printer, a device All in hp officejet 4315, via a belkin device, which is passed from one user to another.

The new pc works fine with the printer connected directly, as does the old another dell, but does not connect via the belkin.

How can I reconnect the system so that the two PC works with a printer?

I don't understand, and this Board is still topical. You're trying to network a printer between multiple computers through the Belkin router. However, the difficulty lies in the fact that it is a Deskjet and it is connectable via a USB cable only. Here, there are two options:

First of all, if the router has a USB connection, you can connect the printer via the router and use the Add Printer Wizard:

http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/sag_setup_indirect_printer.mspx?mfr=true

Second, you can install the printer via a computer and share the printer through the network. You must set up the computer on the network as a designated working group and share the printer through that.

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/sharing-files-printers-help#sharing-files-and-printers=Windows-7&V1H=win8tab1&V2H=win7tab2&V3H=winvistatab1&v4h=winxptab1

These are your best two solutions with this printer, but I would recommend get a printer with at least one Ethernet connection - this would simplify the networking of the printer in a simple and clean process.

I would like to know how this happens and have a great day!

I will soon buy a MacBook Pro laptop and I'm interested in the way in which I connect to the printer connected to my iMac through my Airport Extreme.

Unfortunately, you don't specify how the printer is connected to the iMac, but let's guess that's via USB.

    On your iMac...

Open the preferences system (gear on the dock icon)

    Open the share

Enter a check mark in the box next to printer sharing

    Close the window

Now, do the same for the MacBook Pro

Then, open Preferences system again on the MacBook Pro

I just bought a hp - Laserjet pro m1536dnf (HP) printer, that has no connectivity wireless.

Currently, I use a (WR) wireless router to access the internet at home.

Q1: Can I use a network cable to connect my printer the WR, without using the usb cable provided in the box to connect the printer directly to my laptop and print documents?

Assuming that the answer to Q1 is Yes, I want to better understand:

Q2: while the WR transmit internet (wireless) signal to my laptop, the WR will also transmit printer signal to my laptop? This is why I am able to print from my laptop without direct connection to usb cable from my laptop to the printer?

    Hello

Connect the printer via a wired ethernet cable or wireless makes no difference.

As long as the computer and the printer connected to the same network (an any of them can be connected either wired or wireless) you can install the printer on the PC and enjoy its functionality.

  • want to 5540: can I leave my printer connected 24-7? Does go in mode "sleep"? I print every day!

Can I leave my printer connected 24-7?  Does go to sleep mode?  I do not see every day or week necessarily!

According to the manual (HP Envy 5540 all in a manual series) on page 22, it goes into powersave mode after 5 minutes of inactivity. You can change this time in the control panel if you wish.

After 2 hours of inactivity, the printer will automatically turn off, and you have to press the power button to restart. This auto off function is not active if the printer has wireless or WiFi Direct features turned on. Or if she has a fax, Ethernet, or USB connection. This info can be found on page 23 of the manual linked to the previous paragraph.

  • Tecra A8: Problem with the USB printer connected to the Port Replicator III

    Hi all

I have a problem with my Tecra A8, year Advanced Port Replicator III and a USB printer. With the printer connected to a USB port on the Port Replicator, I have to wait 2 minutes for printing to start. When it is connected directly to a USB port on the laptop and the laptop disconnected from the Port, printing starts immediately. I have the latest drivers from the Isensys of Canon LBP 2900 installed and Windows Vista professional as the operating system.

I called the technical support of my country, but her is not recorded similar problems.

A person with similar problem? Some help would be very appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Seems like a strange question... Already done the standard procedure in the event of such errors? :)

The standard procedure is somehow similar to the following:

    -Update your BIOS
-Update all the drivers for your machine
    -Update your printer drivers
    -Update your operating system

If all else fails, then try an another Portrep if available, maybe you need to contact your dealer for an another portrep for the test.

Something like this should be your way. And then you sucessfully made a TROUBLESHOOTIN´ ;)

I'd be happy to hear feedback from you on your situation...

    Welcome them

  • How to share printer connected to the Windows XP with Windows 7 computer

    Original title: printer problem

I have a HP USB printer connected to a PC running XP.  My wife has a laptop and connects to my Internet connection through a router.  Is there a command in XP that will access the printer even though it is not wireless?  The laptop is running Windows 7 and using Microsoft Home and Business 2010, and therefore the PC.   I was told that it is a command, but can't find it.

    Hi BudRamey,

Share the printer from Windows XP for use with Windows 7 as well.

See this link for more information on this operation:

    Additional reference on:

Once you share the printer from the computer Windows XP, select the wizard file sharing and printers in Windows 7 as well.

Refer to the section "to turn on network discovery, file and sharing, printers and files public sharing under Windows 7" from the link given below to do the same thing.

The printer must be connected to a wireless network directly (and not via USB to your Mac).  Once this is done, you must enable Web Services from the front of the printer.

  • Make sure your computer is not connected to a virtual private network (VPN) or wireless home another network of safe working when you use the printer on your network. See using printer with the virtual private network (VPN).
  • Check that your printer is not connected to the network trouble with the same name (routers with the same default SSID in your area). It is common for users to keep the value by default, out-of-box, SSID as the manufacturer provides (for example the linksys). If your router still has the default SSID, change the SSID under a new name specific to your router.
  • NOTE: updated to the latest version of the firmware of the printer and the software when prompted will help you have the most reliable connection possible. Go to www.kodak.com/go/aiodownloads.

  • problem with the printer connected to windows vista,

I have a Canon PIXMA printeriP1900 when I try to connect it to my computer, I get a message that the printer driver is not compatible with a policy enabled on your computer of mine that blocks NT 4.0 I have Windows vista. Can someone help me

Go to the Canon Website and see if there are drivers for Vista.

    http://www.USA.Canon.com/consumer/controller?Act=DownloadIndexAct

I don't see a pattern of IP1900 if you can't access the exact page. You will need to check your model number. If there are drivers for the version of Vista you have (32 or 64-bit), download and install. Do not have the printer connected until the installer tells you to do. If there are no Vista drivers for the printer, you can not run it under Vista.

You must also run the software printer Canon of an administrative user account.

Usually, you need to install the printing software / drivers on your PC, configured / installed specially for a printer "remote" (its an option in the installation of the printer software)
