• DeskJet 932C, you can print with just replace the black ink cartridge?

  My question is basically simple.  The printer DeskJet 932C can operate with only black ink?  Color ink was empty for a while now, but the printer kept working, printing in black and white.  Due to the cost of the ink and the absence of any income available, we just changed the black ink cartridge.  The problem now is that the printer will not print not even black and white.  Do I have to scrape some funds to replace the color ink cartridge, or y at - it another way to get the printer working with just the new black cartridge?

  Your printer can print in black only, but up to a certain point , you need tri-cartouche color otherwise it will not print. It's a little late now, otherwise if you only need to print B & W, a monochrome laser printer is very good and much cheaper to run (in terms of cost per page).

  This limitation has been annoys me because I bought this printer 3 years ago. I now have a sucessful "solution of workaround for the error message"will not print until the cartridge is changed". You will finally get this message on the printer screen if you keep printing with a low ink cartridge, or THINK that the printer is low. That is to say the number of 'fuse' for the cartridge was triggered and he will recognize is no longer as usable cartridge. This is just a ploy to make you buy ink and prevent you re-charging of your cartridge, under the guise of "we don't want you to compramise print in ink of inferior quality.   @ CoolBreeze202 - I'm sorry that you are having this problem with the ink cartridges and the ink expiration error message.  You can try to clean the contacts on the cartridge and the contacts inside the machine to ensure that built up on the parts are not the source of the error message. Pages 163 and 164 of the user manual will show a manual cleanup process.

  I would also do a hard reset to the printer to try to clear the error message and return the printer to a known working state. No user settings are lost with a hard reset.  Here is a link that will show you how to do a hard reset on this machine.

  Ok.  Once remove you / reinstall the print head, try to clean the printheads via the printer software.

  If it does not, the new print heads are about $95 or you can taste (unofficial) cleaning procedures listed on these forums.  Search for them.
