  • J4680: Print J4680 command

When I want to print an e-mail and/or commitment, I type P. Screen printing happens but instead of saying 'print' it says 'save '.  I have no other choice, I find myself obliged to save the article in PDF format in my office.  Then I can print the PDF file and all is well.  But it's a way of roundabout for a long time to print.  When my wife wants to print a document from his computer (we are all connected via a wireless router), she gets his papers immediately.  She still uses Windows 7 I think.

    Hello
Google chrome opens the print dialog box, and then press the button change.
Select your printer from the list instead of the default save as PDF option and try to print again.

  • J4680 print wireless Internet

I have a portable printer J4680 with HP G series computer with Windows 7 running FIOS.  The wireless printer print from Word, but not the Internet.  If I want to print from the Internet, I need to connect the USB cable.  Tried troubleshooting.  Installed, re-rigged, uninstalled, power resets.  Tried HP Print Diagnostic which stops connectivity.  (HP Print Diagnostic works completely when the USB is connected).  I tried HP Network Diagnostics also stops with connectivity.  Ready to throw the printer from 8 floors.  Help!

We will set an IP address of the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you know what it is, set an IP address outside this range but not exceeding 254 (the last number of the address). If you don't know it, enter the current IP address.
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Let the gateway and DNS white. Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.

  • Blue print in all colors

    Good evening, everyone.

I have a printer J4680 AIO that I had for a while. Last night, I installed the new ink and ran a test page and it looked ok, but when I went to print a chart, I noticed that the colors were COMPLETELY shut down.

I went online and print a test page which includes all colors including shade and hue of these colors.

    The result is... interesting...

    The yellow is a lime.

Red is a deep blood red

Magenta is magenta, but deeper... almost purple in hue

    Black is fine

    The Green is very good.

    Blue is fine

    Cyan is fine

What it boils down to, is that cyan is printing in all colors.

Anyone had this happen and have any idea of a resolution for this? I do a lot of graphic design and when I am doing a project that does not require my printer super high resolution (aka REALLY expensive of ink), I need it to be precise.

    EDIT:
I should mention that I use ink official HP (901) so I know it is not the question (or shouldn't be).

Be troubleshooting steps described here can help, it seems that you have in the mixture of the color cartridge.  It is unlikely that running a cleaning cycle will solve this problem, you will probably need a new cartridge.  You can check the warranty on the cartridge (valid even if the printer is no longer guaranteed) as indicated in the paper here.

A new cartridge will almost certainly fix the problem.

  • J4680 goes offline then ready all few seconds binding system resources

Please, I hope someone can help with this. I've been back with technical support for SIX MONTHS and can't get no satisfaction (and I try).

My printer J4680 wireless continues to turn itself offline for a few seconds, then goes back to the loan a few seconds later. It slows down all my laptop doesn't work - email, word, excel, etc. It took months just to find the printer was the problem with my computer performance slow!

Long story is that I tried to add this in more a 5510 when I went from a desktop computer to a laptop with a docking station (want to be able to print when not connected).

Six months later, I uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I gave up trying to get both to work together and left the 5510 a month ago. Now, I just want the J4680 works correctly. And I can't.

Someone at - he heard of this?

    More information:

I use a laptop Lenovo XP.

The router is a Linksys WRT54G

My last attempt to solve this was to follow the suggestion of HP tech: uninstall all HP software, uninstall the HP folder in Program Files and change the twain.dll and twain32.dll in the Windows folder to twainold.dll and twain32old.dll. They had me try to do something with the status of active SNMP (which was not valid) and the discovery of devices service manual value (which didn't work).

I reinstalled it. It's frustrating thing: it has worked well for the first day, he always immediately after I install it. But once I have turn off the computer and restarting, the printer starts again turn mode offline, then online, then offline. (You can watch it do this in the Printers folder. That I look at it often. "And scream).

Please please please, does anyone know how to fix this?

    Thank you.

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-Click on the manual button IP and enter:
    for the IP address 192.168.1.200
    255.255.255.0 for the subnet
Let the gateway and DNS white
    -Click 'apply '.

-L' screen is not refreshed.  Wait about 15 seconds and then proceed to:

Stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.

  • Loss of connection J4680

Hi, I have problems similar to other assignments, but so far the suggestions did not work:

Printer: J4680, used to work properly for printing on a wireless network, scan seemed to throw errors but worked.  More updates of expensive HP etc. the printer / scan function would fall.

Disabled updates automatic, re-installed disk, very well.

Eventually lost the scan function (print worked well).  It's all the same wireless network.

Try to re - install and it the function 'add a device' on the drive cannot find the wireless printer, even after using the USB cable to implement.

Here's the rub: I am able to properly connect to the printer wireless via the admin HTML link, change settings, change the level wireless security (stop / market, change the key network etc) and I am able to connect through binding HTML wireless.

But the HP software REFUSES to connect.  It is a good printer in principle but the software takes forever to install and does not work then.  Enter the IP address manually in the software is not to find what's frankly crazy.

All the backdoor patches, very appreciated, I can change anything on the router or printer

    Hello

Having found that a good bit of potential help on the forums thought might like to know this:

With the XP on my wifi as a printer wireless network:

Once the J4680 is installed OK and you can print on he noticed that in my case, it appeared as a scanner / printer in the native XP my computer.

UO and HR click this get a quick, the responsiev and the scan far reliable of the printer.

I dodged this way (I hope) most of the connection Sin issues HP Solution Center and the length of time it takes to start and nothing more.

The only software of HP I have now installed is the driver printer HP itself.

    Thank you.

  • Question about the use of an Ad Hoc network on J4680 (wireless)

I'm helping someone to set up it wireless printer J4680 there new HP laptop. Basically, I need to know if I created it with a 'ad hoc network' if she will be able to connect to the internet and use the printer at the same time?

It has a network card from Sprint to connect to the internet, she's so not a modem or a router. Ive been reading about ad hoc networks which will allow him to connect to the printer wireless to your laptop without using a router... but I was also told that if it connect 2 devices to ad hoc aid which she had to disconnect from the internet, anytime she wants to print something. Can someone confirm this please?

If this is true, and she can't use both at the same time... is there anyway that it can connect a router to his laptop computer when you are using a network adapter for the internet service?

Sorry if this is a noob question or miss important info, im fairly new to all this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

It is correct. You cannot use the printer and internet connection at the same time. I think that there is a router where you could plug the internet card to get wireless connectivity and connect other devices to it wireless. Although I'm not sure about this. Check with the manufacturers of modern like Linksys, D-Link or Netgear router if they have such a router.

(Also, don't is close to phone line yet so no fax functions have been attempted).  After several months, the printer started to cannot print in certain circumstances. (History, so I don't remember all the details.) As I remember, functions came and went. For the past months, it has not printed from WORD or Excel...

After several installs (one final & most successful is also wireless) since the CD from HP, the rpt of tst do not Work wireless says 'no probs found congratulations successful wireless printer installation. Diagnosis pg & test sent pg of the PC as well print correctly. Printed pages of Word or Excel appear in the display printer as printing for a few seconds and then go away from the display, but the printer does not... I installed the j4680 as USB or wireless connected and the same symptoms occur (currently is wireless).  Win 7 insists on the fact that I have the latest & best driver when released to research... on some previous installed try to print the test or diag pgs gives 'the computer cannot communicate with the printer' or words to that effect, it does not right now so I don't have the exact wording of msg. I have the network printed report with lots of data (the excellent signal strength) available if necessary test configuration.

Yes. Fax to PC for J6480 is possible.

To prevent it from printing on the all-in-one,

you will need active fax to PC function on the printer itself...

    Follow these steps:

Setup > basic fax configuration > disable Fax Print > OFF
