• How to print on a DVD using a Mac?

  I use a Mac. I bought the camera HP Photosmart to print on DVDs. I can't find any information on how to do it. The instructions says to use the software. What software? There are very little help showing how to set up works of art. After a frustrating hour, I finally found the HP Photosmart and printed using CD/DVD utility, 120 mm. It prints on the DVD but larger than the actual image. He make a mess everywhere in the status bar. I used 'Crop Photo to Best Fit' but it does not help. I started with a picture of the circle and saved as a jpeg file. I'm about to return this unit to the store. I hope you can help register me as a customer!

• Unable to print on CD/DVD printable C5380

  I just bought a Photosmart C5380 to replace my Epson sick.  Load on an iMac than 2.4 GHz with Snow Leopard and all the latest updates and drivers.  Prints and scans very well... almost.  I'm unable to printon a printable CD/DVD.  Lower the door CD/DVD and prssing OK brings up a message telling me to use the CD/DVD software to print.  But I can't find anything.  The manual I have in front of me told me I should use the software provided with the product to create and print on a CD/DVD.  I can't find anything!  I downloaded HP Photosmart studio, but that doesn't seem to work.

  When we developed the drivers and software for Snow Leopard, there were some problems getting CD/DVD printing to work.  We decided to go with the release of the software without the CD/DVD printing functionality.  In the meantime, we modified the HP Photo Studio software and got everything working in 10.6 again.

  So, what should you do?

  #1-make sure you have the latest drivers from 10.6 to your printer downloaded and installed from hp.com.

  #2-go here: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/united-states/pse/hp_photosmart_studio_software.dmg and download and install HP Photo Studio.

  You will now be able to print on CD/DVD by HP Photo Studio.

• Printing on CD/DVD with Photosmart D7560 h

  I recently bought a new desktop computer Win 8 and installed the driver of HP all inclusive for the Photosmart D7560.  The printer works great for photos and documents.  However, the Photosmart Essential software that allows me to create labels for CD/DVD will not install on Win 8.  I received instruction to use Photo Creations.  Software creations does not allow me to create labels for printing on CD/DVD.  When I contacted the support for the creations, I learned that the software does not have a request for printing on CD/DVD.  I bought the printer specifically to be able to print on CD/DVD.  HP has an alternative to the use third party software?  Essentials was not large, but it worked perfectly with the printer.

  Good... but looks like HP would have thought about this option in printer before forcing the creations on the Windows community 7/8. Thanks for your thoughts.

• Photosmart D5160 with Windows 7; Unable to print on CD/DVD

  I installed my Photosmart D5160 on my new HPE180t.  I used the "HP Photosmart and Deskjet full feature software and drivers" for Windows 7 64-bit.  Before, with Windows XP and HP Photosmart first, I was able to print on a CD/DVD.  Now, HP Photosmart Essential replaced HP Photosmart first, and I'm unable to print on CD/DVD.

  I chatted with HP Technical Support online and they had me install Roxio Express Labeler for Windows Vista and run it in compatibility mode.  The result was that I was able to print on a CD/DVD, but the image has been moved to the top.  HP technical support said that I should buy a third-party CD/DVD printing software and they suggested call me Nero to determine what software to use.

  My questions:

  1. is this a known problem, the fact that the D5160 impossible to print on CD/DVD with Photosmart Essential and Windows 7?

  2. If someone has had this problem, what do you do to solve the problem?

  3. Another option would be to buy a new HP printer that prints on CD/DVD?  If so, what printer?

  new computer: HPE-180 t, Windows 7 Pro (64 bit), Nvidia GeForce GT 220, Intel Core i7 - 930 quad-core CPU @ 2.80 GHz, 8 GB of RAM

  That's what I did to solve my problem:

  1. buy a HP Photosmart D7560 h

  2 use Windows Photo Viewer to print on CD/DVD

  Note 1: The only way to buy the HP Photosmart D7560 h through HP's through its "upgrade" program, because this printer is no longer available via the HP shopping site.  Do NOT buy the D7560 h through the 'upgrade' of HP program because you will receive a refurbished printer.  After talking with the resolution of HP service, they advised me to buy this printer to a retailer who sells this printer yet.  I bought my new HP Photosmart D7560 h from newegg.com.

  Note 2: This printer (D7560 h) also uses the HP Photosmart Essential 3.5 when you use Windows 7, like the HP D5160.  When I installed the EP 3.5 and only had a printer is installed (as opposed to a printer and scanner HP), the 3.5 HP allow for printing on CD/DVD via the HP Solution Center.  The problem (not being able to print on CD/DVD via PE 3.5) occurred when I plugged in and installed my HP Scanjet G4050 scanner, which also uses the HP Solution Center.

  Note 3: I believe tha the D5160 could work with Windows 7.  It may be able to print on a CD/DVD, if you do not have an another printer/scanner HP device installed on your computer.  It may be able to print on a CD/DVD using the Windows Photo Viewer.

  Note 4: To replace the cartridges of 5 ink (XL) on the HP Photosmart D7560 h, it costs a total of $115.

  Let me know if you have any other questions.  Bottom line... I am able to print on CD/DVD with the D7560 h on Windows 7 operating system but I don't have to use the Photo of Windows display program.

  I recently updated my operating system of Windows Vista home premium to Windows 7 Ultimate after a hard disk failure,

  I installed the driver software from the website, but now my printer / photosmart software essentials said that this printer is not recognized as one that can print directly on CD/DVD, I ran the software twice, performed troubleshooting, & HP solutions for install errors, but still I can't print directly on CD/DVD.

  I even tried the original driver disks supplied with the printer Windows, but I get a message saying that the software is not compatible with this operating system.

  Please someone help because it makes me around the elbow.

  Hi, I have today looked through all HP help & support & has found a solution that works.

  The "Select printer" message on the computer when printing on a CD or DVD in windows 7.

  I have taken the recommended action, & installed an another printer driver & now use HP Photosmart C5300 series printer driver Photosmart essentials v.3.5 and everything's fine.

  I ask out of curiosity sake.

  Is it possible to get a print on an Encore DVD chart? Of course, we could do in Illustrator or Photoshop, but it might be useful to get a print on a ready to use flow diagram.

  Without getting the image raster-routes, mentioned above, I don't know any direct printing function. I usually do my charts in artificial intelligence, I can have a lot more control in this way and can even plug graphic Menus, so that the customer can see things properly and may approve the project.

  I know that's not as easy as just push a button and generate a PDF high resolution 11 x 17, that would be great, but I don't know any other way.

• I have the MG8220 printer and you want to print on a DVD disc using the top of the desktop software

  In the past, I have been using a desktop software to produce graphics and then print labels in paper. Using a model of a disk. Works very well with my printer ip4600.  Now with the MG8220 printer capable of printing on discs, how can I do this without copying an existing labeled disc?  I don't want to copy a disc but rather to print on a disc using a graph of ready scaled to fit on a disc.

  We only support printing to disc with Easy Photo Print software and my garden of Image provided.  We encourage you to try to use third-party programs, but as they are not supported, the only steps I can recommend would be to ensure that the paper size is set to CD disc within the software.

  I bought a Photosmart D5460 specifically to print on a CD, it used to work, now it doesn't. I get the message that this printer not print CD nonsupport, but if I leave the OPI of the CD tray tells me that I have to close it before you print it. I thought that maybe the toSnow Leopard upgrade did damage, but I installed the original software on an olderG4 under Leopard. No luck. What is a printer firmware issue?

  I use an Intell Mac running OS x 10.6.5. The pilot is 4.2, the print utility is 4.8.5 and HP studio is 9.8.1

  The problem is the oldest software installed.  It is mess up the works.  You will need to uninstall the software 10.5 using HP uninstaller, restart your Mac and then add your printer to print and fax.  For 10.6 drivers are already in the operating system.  It may ask you that there is an update, let the Mac download and install this update.  Then, download and install the HP Photo Studio's Mac OS X v 10.6 found here.

  I recently bought a hard drive 750 GB of HP DV 7 QuadCore with 8 GB of RAM and a blue Ray player. I was wondering if I would be able to use disks light scribe to burn labels onto CDs and DVDs using my blue Ray player, since it is also a super multi drive. Or I'm wrong because I have come to understand that HP which was pretty much standard on their laptop computers and other computers because they are mainly manufacturers of disc light scribe. Please help me this is my first HP computer. Thank you!!

  There are 2 types, I don't know that you are asking

  1. print the labels on paper model: you need a good software otherwise most likely you can get arounf 25% of results because the hole don't align. As @wb2001 mentioned above, the label will not long stick and my get stuck in your player.

  2 print directly to DVD printable, well no, your printer will not support it.

  1. Book: you must purchase the appropriate labels. Very considerate of my experiences the success rate was about 40% and very long.
  2. On DVD printable: Your printer cannot print directly to printable CD / DVD.

• MG5420 how to print my Art on a CD/DVD?

  In the user manual, I see for the digitization of the hull of origin of a DVD/CD and instructions for printing a CD/DVD LABEL document. But I do not see instructions for how to print my work directly on printable CD/DVD.

  When I opens the menu of the main printer to my desktop and click on the "Disc Label Print" icon, I'm able to import my work on the blank template, but then when I Press PRINT, the only options I gave have to do with paper type. A disc is not given as an option.

  Once I was able to put in place to work. But now I forgot the steps I took to have the option of disk instead of paper only.

  I tried to find a YouTube video to help, but the ones I found uses older software and are not very useful.

  Can anyone help?

• HP photosmart c5280: printing on CD and DVD

  I have not used the printer for a while and when I used it, it would not print on the DVD, but it did print on A4 paper.  I tried cleaning, printing facility head several times but to no avail.  I installed the latest drivers, software and the last program HP updated for this model.
