Printing on custom size paper

I just installed a HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 and tried to print a size of 4.5 x 6.5 inches. But this option is not in the list of available paper size, and I have no ability to create a custom size. After searching on Google, I found a thread here who recommended trying another driver. I did and was able to create a custom size. But when you try to print, the printer displays immediately "Cancel printing", and nothing happens (no error message on my computer or on the printer).

I tried a few other drivers, but they do not work or the word ends up freezing when I try to enter in the printer preferences.

Does anyone know of a driver that works on an OfficeJet Pro 8600 which also allows the definition of custom paper sizes? Or other good suggestions?

Hello

Please try to install the driver of HP Deskjet 6980 replacing and then try to print. Most of the time, this would not solve the issue.

Kind regards

My first Photosmart 309 to cannot print custom size paper.  When I try, I get a 'paper mismatch' error when I try to print.  The size that I am trying to print is an invitation of 6 x 9.  I never had this problem with my previous HP printer.

To ensure your stick settings, close the program that you want to print from. Go to the folder printers, do a right-click and choose print options, click on the features tab and set the custom there. Make sure that you check in at this level and it's printing to the main tray. Then click on apply and then OK in the preference window.

Now, open the program that you want to print check in and double the print settings. Try to print and see if it works.

  • How can I get my hp officejet pro 8600 to print a custom size

Hi, I just upgraded from the officejet pro 8500 to the officejet pro 8600, I try to print a piece of the custom paper size.  The size is 26.9 mm x 13.4 mm, I am on windows 7.

The error is:-paper detected does not match format of paper or type selected.

I had 4 printers officejet different over the years and never not been able to print a custom size, can someone please help with this one.

Some printers are able to print custom formats real, but most made currently are not. It is because the printer must be able to recognize and 'confidence' settings which are entered. If a number was entered incorrectly, the printer can damage its internal components.

This is especially true in this case, because the above dimensions are considerably smaller than anything that can be printed.

My recommendation is to use a paper size appropriate to print materials and cut the large piece to the correct size.

Let me know if it helps!

    Excellent.

I just edit my previous post.

The Council is essentially the same, although because of the differences in the operating system, the details of how the 'preferences' are handled and presented are indeed different.

I am very pleased that it's done.

  • How to print on legal size paper

I am getting very frustrated. I'm trying to print on legal size paper in Tray 1. The display keeps saying out of paper?

IM assuming that it is in what concerns the 8600 JO? You did to be sure to set the tray for legal paper? The paper tray are in place. If you open the drawer there is a blue button. This blue button-press and hold the status bar on one of the rails. This lengthens the tray to allow legal communication and always leave the tray to be in place.

If the directions are not clear, let me know and I'll try and get you pictures of what I mean.

    Thank you

    Hey, Bessie.

When you print to PDF it has an option to fit to Page. That switch off and you should not have more discounts.

  • Unable to print custom size paper

    Hello

I've seen several questions posted here on the documents of custom sizes, but the only response to one of the questions has not worked for me.

I use Mac OS X 10.6.4 with an Officejet 6310 connected wireless ix.

I am trying to print a document in a piece of paper 9 x 3.875 inches in size. I created the document using this specific size. I created a custom size in the print menu, and when I click on print I get the message "custom paper size specified is not supported in the selected tray.

According to the user manual, the printer should be able to manage custom sizes from 4 "x 6" up to 8.5 "x 14". I followed the instructions in the user manual on how to implement the custom in the status bar paper, so I don't understand why the printer consider.

Any help on how to get the printer to accept the document would be extremely welcome.

    Thank you

    Alejandro

It was while I was specifying the paper size in the wrong order. Wearing the paper into the opening 9.00 3.88 instead of 3.88 x 9.00 x solves the problem.

  • Custom size paper will not feed. OfficeJet 7500 has a broadsheet.

    • OfficeJet 7500 a large Format
    • Prod. # C9309A
    • Windows 7 64 bit

Try printing on paper 3 3/4 "X 6 3/4" (95 x 172 mm). 98% of my attempts, the book is not picked up or jams immediately. All attempts to set the guides and performance white paper, the same results. Appreciated recommendations.

    Hello

The 7500 has support not all sizes on your operating system:

Custom-size media is not supported in Windows.

You can find all supported paper size in the paper specifications below:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02283601

You can try the No. 6 3/4 envelope size and check if this can work, it seems to be close enough to the mentioned size

    Good luck

  • ID CS5.5 Mac - transparency printing problems custom size 13 x 21

I try to print a screen printing positive transparency. The document is 13 x 21. I have a roll of 13 extended transparency which I cut a 21 "piece. I print on an EPSON 1400.

I can not get the output to this szie file. It cuts the image within 8.5 x 11 limit each time.

    I have:

-set a custom size in the print dialog box

-Click on Page Setup in the print dialog box and set the custom size here, ignoring the warning to the subject it is not not printing ID dialog box

-l' Preview in the dialog box will look perfectly oriented to the right size in the small tile

-J' have tried everything I can think of to try to get in sync and correct output formats

-I went to the PDF to try, fail again

Is there someone who can help with some step by step to a process that works?

Adobe ID CS5.5, EPSON Stylus Photo 1400, Mac Lion 10.7.5

Only, I can't understand how this could be so difficult and little intuitive. Any idea would be freaking wonderul.

Wow! Sudden incidental finding on this incredibly frustrating issue.

I had found information that the EPSON 1400 should be able to print 44 "long output by default. I was looking specifically for one to find people who had printed large and panoramic images and came across a photography website of the United Kingdom where a person mentioned that he had written a software that would allow this printer print beyond 44 ". That sounded a lot.

BUT, the last post on the thread of a guy says how he was able to print up to 44 '' for an EPSON 1400 with ease. The solution, said, was that the WIDTH of the print in the page layout area must be LOWER at 13 ". Why? No explanation.

So I reset my size custom at 12.5x21 inches and BAM! First attempt to InDesign printed successfully. I can work with the margin.

Anyway, in the case that everyone runs into this problem, it works. Here is a link to the post of 2009 that mentions this as info about printing more than 44 ".

    This one is solved.

  • Editing Images in custom size paper

Help!   I'm new to PS.  I'm assembling multiple photos in a single document (editing / composite) to print once completed.  How do I re-size of each image to fit into a large custom size document?

It probably means that you are trying to put a 16-bit image in a 8 bit file. My first reaction is to say don't you worry in this regard. (Your original image file remains low).  If you are not hurt anything. The 'weak' bit depth can still describe over 16 million colors, so I doubt you will see any lower quality.

If you want you can try to create a low target document. In the new Document dialog box, choose 16 bit (to the right of the color Mode) (the default value is 8 bits)

  • I am trying to print photos custom sizes

I have a Photosmart 2575 all-in-One printer and use the HP Image Zone v5.0 software that comes with it, works on Windows XP. I would like to be able to print photos 6 "x 8" 8-1/2 x 11 inch paper-centric, but can't seem to do it with this software. Someone have a solution?

I solved this problem by downloading some software from download.com printing and image editor that allowed me more default sizes and the ability to set up custom formats. I think it's called "PicPrint."
