Problem connecting to the local host

I am trying to connect to my localhost server if I can use my program of EasyPHP.  I tried connecting on Internet Explorer and Firefox but not able to connect to the local host. When I ran Windows diagnosis, I got this error message

"localhost is not configured to establish a connection on port"World Wide Web Service (HTTP)"with this computer.  -What this means and how can I solve the problem? Could a firewall be the cause?
I have mysql on my computer. When I ran today, he did let me get to my databases. When I used the root username, it not let me access it. Usually, I'm able to access without having to use a user name or password.  Don't you think that this has nothing to do with why I can't connect to the local host to my internet?
Thank you.

OK - it's good. I noticed that your host directory contains only the character ' / ' and that could be the source of your problems.  What happens if you remove that, just leave this field blank?

  • Problems connecting to the local network with NAS

So we have a private network to work. On this network we have implemented a Synology NAS. We are constantly backup of files, files, adding files, etc. updated excel... There is a lot of traffic on this subject. Recently it was kickoff of people with error messages like "Device name already in use. It could be a problem with just the NAS, but I think it might be a problem with the network or something that I could deal with different parameters. The problem occurs when there are a lot of people on the network, not necessarily work outside the SAR, which has a static IP address. Because of my ignorance of networks, I don't know what information to include to help describe the problem or put in place, so do not hesitate to ask!

Any help would be greatly appreciated, more on only an opportunity to learn more about networking is also good!

  • Irregular problem connecting to the wired network

My Windows 7 PC has an irregular problem, connect to the local network of cable through a provided network of the netgear modem/router.

The connection timeout is the question and sometimes takes a while four two minutes or more.

A reboot of the pc never seems to resolve but (quite often, in fact usually) will be a restart of the modem.

The modem is always on (as the announced network connection is supposed to be).

The network provider has replaced the modem, and the problem persists. This leads me to believe that there is a start up or similar problem with the pc.

I ran the troubleshooter in windows... no chance/results. Is there a "fixit" tool I could try or something similar?

Happy to clarify, to provide more information and appreciate any input.

  • Using wordpress on the local host

I know that my post is not specific to DW. I got a lot of help here, so I'll ask the question. My ultimate goal is to work with a form of WP site in DW.

I installed xampp and wp on my localhost. I successfully copied and installed in xampp/htdocs/xampp all the site files and the MySQL database file from an existing WordPress custom theme site online. I can open the website on my localhost and I can connect to the WP Dashboard on my local host. all messages and pages and the plug ins and everything is there. The site looks and works on my localhost, just as it does online. Yes.

But there is a problem, and I just can't understand it. When I view the site on the local host - none of the navigation links work. For example, there are an 'INFO' menu nav element and a corresponding info page. I can see the INFO page and all of its contents in the WP Dashboard and change it in the editor dashboard. But if I click on preview, I get a "the requested URL was not found on this server.    The link on the referring page seems to be wrong or outdated. "error. the same thing happens if I click on the link in the nav menu. This is true for all the menu pages/nav links.

I think that this is related to the permalinks and .htaccess file. If go to the section permalinks dashboard th GTE, which automatically results in a .htaccess file will be created at the root of the installation of WP. Once the file /htaccess is created I can't view the site on localhost. If I delete the .htaccess file I get the site back but with the nav link page not found problem

I googled the problem and tried a variety of things, including the links below, but just can't make it work.

    http://www.lancelhoff.com/how-to-make-WordPress-permalinks-work-in-XAMPP/

    http://www.PHP-developer.org/htaccess-in-WordPress-XAMPP-localhost/

Anyone here have experience with this and any suggestions? I am so close to have this job, but just can not pass it. TIA for any help.

Disable the permalinks when working locally.

    Please help on this issue.

    Hello

Then, perform a search on the page of the driver provider.

  • I can connect to the local network, but not to the internet

Why in an internet connection, I can connect to the Local network, but not to the Internet.
I have valid IP address and configuration is good.

I recommend you read some threads here in the forum about similar issues.
If this problem occurs using the WiFi network, then check if you can use the connection to the local network.
    Using the WiFi network, you must check if the common WLan parameters are favourable;
Check if the encryption key is right; turn off filtering by mac address, check the TCP/IP protocol settings if it has been set to automatic, disable the firewall settings, rest you WLan router, check if you connected to the right SSID.

    Good bye

Driver: Intel (r) PRO/1000 PL Network Connection

    Wireless connection works fune.

    Hello

First of all, you should check your LAN cable.
Sometimes the laptop may not be correctly connected to the LAN as a result of a defective cable.
In addition, you should check if the network card is properly recognized in Device Manager. He should t be a yellow exclamation!
In addition, you must check the settings for the TCP/IP protocol in the LAN card properties.
TCP/IP must be set to automatic. I assume that you are connected to a server and the server supports supported a range of IP addresses and assigns it automatically.

Last but not least check if you are using the latest version of the BIOS.

Was also pointed out that the port does not communicate, can not remove it; Cannot add another...

    Printer does not print.

    How can I fix?

    Hi @AnnisMonadjem,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are unable to print to your printer HP Officejet Pro 8600. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

When you say 'LAN', are you referring to the network or you try to share the printer on the network?

How is the printer connected? (Ethernet/WiFi)

If you have noticed that the port is causing problems, please download and run the print and Scan doctor, it will be probably diagnose and fix the problem you are experiencing.

What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (she print or scan, error messages)

HP has several Officejet Pro 8600 series.

What is the name and the product number of your printer? How can I find my model number or product number?

    • Update the firmware of the printer.
    • Don't hide the SSID (network name).
    • What type of encryption are you helping? HP recommends WPA and WPA2.
    • You have a double router broadband? Make sure that the two groups were not the same network name.

If the problem persists, you may encounter an IP address conflict. It's a good idea to assign the printer a static IP address outside your DHCP range. For example, some routers default DHCP is located between 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.200. So, I would use 192.168.0.232.

To assign the static IP address, use the following steps as a guide.

    • Print a Page of Network Configuration menu of the printer front panel. Note the IP printer. IPV4 address
    • Type the IP address in the browser to bring up the SAP.
    • Choose the network tab, then wireless on the left side, and then select the IPv4 tab.
    • Select Manual IP.
    • Enter your IP address manual (192.168.0.232)
    • Enter 255.255.255.0 for the subnet mask, except if it is different.
    • Enter the IP address of your router that sits on the Network Configuration Page) for the default gateway.
    • Please, click on manual DNS server. For the preferred DNS Server Manual please enter 8.8.8.8 and the Alternate DNS Server Manual, please enter 8.8.4.4.
    • Click on apply.
    • Restart the router, the printer and the computer.
    • Test printing and scanning.

If the problem persists, download and run this patch rollup: resolving printing issues in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2

    • Try printing and scanning.

In addition, if you are still having problems try the steps in this guide, HP printers - "offline" Status Message printer (Windows 7).

Continue on, if the problem persists.

Important!   Delete the temporary files and folders by using the disk cleanup utility

    Hello

    I m bit confused.
The LAN card is recognized correctly in the Device Manager?
Check under network adapters and if there is NO yellow exclamation point.

If the network card is recognized correctly, then you should check the LAN parameters-> * Protocol of TCP/IP.

IP address, getway must be set to assign automatically.

    Check it!
