Problem creating Windows DVD

I'm having a problem with Windows DVD Maker.  After the DVD was burned, the menu pictures and video clips are on half top of the screen and it gives a green bottom half of the screen.  When I preview before I actually burning the DVD, it looks great, but after that the DVD is burned, it flattens the peak to the top of the screen.  I tried changing every setting in there, but he continues to squeeze the image in the menu at the top of the screen.  The DVD is very good, but the menu is messed up.  Any help would be great.  Y at - it a update or something that could help solve this problem?

  • Problem creating Windows DVD? Or Windows Movie Maker problem?

Hello!  I created a slide show in Windows Movie Maker, which plays on my computer without problem.  Now, I try to burn it to a DVD by using the Windows DVD authoring application.  I was able to burn my DVDs sucessfully using the wizard and when I put it in the DVD player I get the main menu I created.

I press play and start my video, but he plays 16 seconds and everything goes black.  Time continues to roll until the full 3 minutes are up, but I have 16 seconds of my film.  I burned 3 DVD and it did the same thing.

Can someone help me with what I'm doing wrong?

    Hi Khsb14,

Have a. you been able to watch the video before burning?

    B. did burn the DVD?

    C. is the DVD burner connected properly

    D. is the audio work after the 16th s?

    E. do you have a mistake when he went to the black screen?

This could be a problem with the burner DVD or the method of engraving. Try the following methods.

    Method 1

Previewing your DVD, you can view the photos and videos on this subject. Check if the full video is seen in the preview. This can help you determine if you want to make changes to the DVD before burning the disc.

    1. In the ready to burn DVD page, click Preview.
    2. To read the DVD preview, click play in the control screen.
    3. To control the playback, click Pause , play , previous chapter or next chapter , according to what you want to do.
    4. To display the DVD menu, click Menu. Click on the top, bottom, right, or arrows left to go in this direction on the DVD menu preview, and then click the Enter button to play the selected menu item. Click OK when you are done previewing the DVD.

Check the link for more information.

  • Cannot create Windows DVD, burning the disc - Satellite L350

Can someone help I'm on a Toshiba satellite L350
I'm trying to burn a DVD with Windows DVD maker. It is the fourth I've done and the previous ones were all OK.

I can't burn the DVD, I tried both types of disc and made about 10 attempts today.
When I try to burn it starts OK then I get about 34% and get an error message

I had two different error messages, it says "cannot create the DVD error unspecified.". "
The other says "cannot create DVD catastrophic failure"

As Akuma wrote, it can be a problem creating Windows DVD and has nothing to do with the functionality of optical disc drive. It is good to check the updates.

Can you test the WEIRD feature using a different burning application?

  • Creating Windows DVD won't finish burning

    From: pafos

Problem - DVD burned with Windows DVD maker not fianalize Amend will be will not play back on normal household players

After spending a considerable amount of time and money (on blank media) trying to produce a DVD that will play on my Panasonic player normal, that I gave up. If you Google this problem there are a lot of people out there with the same problem then why not can it be 'fixed' once and for all by SM.

I tried to burn a slideshow of photo from Windows Live Photo Gallery, but she is spit out the disc at the end of 98.8%. R DVD plays perfectly on the PC but not the standalone player.

I even tried to change the types of burners and media, but they all gave the same problem. The disc is not finalized.

I can burn the DVD with the third-party software and these play fine, even, if I use XP pro, all is well so it's down to Vista I'm afraid. I have the latest version of Vista sp1 and all the drivers etc are up to date.

In view of the foregoing can recommend a decent software that will burn DVD properly with Vista AND produce photo jpeg slide shows?

Thanks in advance for any help

  • Creating Windows DVD - decoding problem?

    Hello.

Recently, I tried to use Windows DVD Maker for the first time. Files added in the right menu and I could create a menu and listen to excerpts from the DVD. When I click on the button to burn, however, the DVD does that make to 1.7% full and watch then say error message:
"One or more files that have been added in DVD Maker may not be decoded properly. Make sure you have decoding software installed on your computer that can decode the different files and then try again. »
Windows Vista Home Premium is supposed to come with software decoding (I think), and I can't seem to find a way to solve the problem. Maybe I need new software decoding? I don't know if I'm just on the obvious or not.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Too bad. Thanks for all your help, but I solved the problem today.
It turns out that this filmmaker of windows does support not either of the types of files that I used (.avi and .mov). They do not also support many other file types. He had to be a .wmv file format.
I now use a new software to burn discs, because like that I don't meet problems in the future when you work with video from various sources.
Two of the software I know who can solve the problem are Nero 9 and Adobe first Elements 7. (Just in case someone else runs into this same problem).

  • Creating Windows DVD - burning is not the whole video

    Hello

Hoping someone may be able to provide me with assistance.

I added successfully 4 VTS_01 film of video files in a project using create DVD Windows, using windows Vista. I entered all the information and personalized menu to suit me. I then run the preview everything seems very well the film will play form beginning to end.

    Now hear is my problem.

When I burn the project to a disk, it will go through the movements of code and finally burn to the disc. Once it is finished burning, the disc is ejected.

I'm going to play in my DVD Player menus I have made show the 4 files ok and I play the movie. But he will play only the first 28 minutes of the film. I tried selecting other scenes that won't play in the menu of the scene and yet it just starts at the beginning and only run 28 minuets and start over.

I tried to use the DVD + RW 4.7 GB and DVD-R DL 8.5 GB think my film can now be too big once I added the menu, that's why I tried the 8.5 GB. The film was initially recorded on the DVD + RW 4.7 GB until I ran across Windows DVD Maker. The original plays very well.

There are no problems with the discs, burner or DVD play as I have tried several, also tested incentive.

Is there something I'm not directly in the program? Believe if the files are not compatible at all why would be him coming up in Windows DVD Maker and I would like to twick the menu and burn?

Hoping someone can help as my film is really great on the preview.

    Kind regards

The duration of 88 minutes should not be too long for a

  • Creating Windows dvd will not burn dvd

My new computer has windows 7. I used the windows dvd creation when I had vista and it worked then. I burned my discs of recovery on this computer without problem. When coding is about 3.3%, it climbs to 24, then 99, and then I get the error message that an error has occurred when burning the dvd. According to the graph, I 16 minutes left space on the disk. I tried to use two different disks and that has not worked. I changed the write speed to slow down with no luck. I have disabled the video filter on the tab options. I don't know what else to try. I use DVD + R Philips discs. Are there other options in addition to try a different type of manufacturer or disc?

I tried to convert the original file of realplayer and the encoder said the file type was not supported I tried convert the wmv file, I created from the realplayer file using the WMV converter. I received the message: error corrupted the file once more. I guess that there is not much left to try unless it might help to use another program to download Internet video?
