  I think you have three choices-

  1 download LR - 4.4.1 and install with your LR-4 serial key. Adobe - Lightroom: for Windows

  2. buy a "Standalone" LR-6/CC upgrade. You will need your new LR-6 keys and LR-4.

  3. buy a subscription to LR - CC.

  Your LR - 4 key will work for up to LR 4.4.1 updates

  Problem has been resolved.

  Just in case someone else has the same problem, if you try to connect to a router and it communicates but don't connect does not then it might be a problem with the frequency to which you are trying to connect.

  In this case, my laptop could connect only to a 5 GHz frequency but my router was capable of a frequency of 2.4 ghz, so he was able to connect to all the rest but not that. (Particularly if you use a hub SKY).

  The message you get is indicating you have purchased an upgrade version and it can't find the old version installed on the computer in order to allow you to use the upgrade.  You don't need to install the old version, but do not show proof of possession of the old version.  There should be a presented option where you can chose the old version in the list and then specify the serial number.
