  I have problems trying to publish a Web site on my local server.

  I got up a local box of Windows Server 2008 with IIS running by default on its site.

  What I'm trying to do is to publish a 5 ASP.Net MVC application to test and run on my local network.

  The application is built successfully on my dev machine Windows 8 using Visual Studio Premium to 2013, but when I try and publish it, publication fails.

  I am trying to publish via Web Deploy and have installed and running on the server of WWW Publishing Service.

  The error I get when trying to test connection is;

  Unable to connect to the remote computer ("PRDAP01") using the process specified ("Web Management Service") because the server did not respond.

  Make sure that the ('Web Management Service") process is started on the remote computer.

  The remote server returned an error: (403) forbidden.

  The user name and password with which I used to publish are valid.

  Should I create whatever it be put in place in advance on the server before trying to publish on it?

• Problem installing VMWare Workstation on a Server Windows 2012

  Hello

  I have problems when trying to install VMWare Workstation on a Server Windows 2012. Windows Server is Amazon EC2 environment and a generic image extended release.

  The problem is that the installtion process fails because of "Hyper-V" during installation, but after investigating the option "Remove roles and features" I can see that it is not installed.

  Is there any fixes for this issue?

  Welcome to the VMware community forums.

  You run an EC2 instance that has just 615 MB memory installed?

  It's kind of a weird for a host, much too low for Amazon memory configuration, even be profitable.

  I think that your server is running UNDER Hyper-V, for example. It is probably a Virtual Machine.

  You can easily check that yourself by running the script from this site:

  How Hyper-V to: detect if you are inside a virtual machine

  If it's a Hyper-V virtual computer then I don't think you can install VMware Workstation on the virtual machine and run the nested clients.

  You could do the opposite (invited running hyper-V in a workstation virtualized on vSphere) but is not very fast.

  As you have no control over which platform virtualization Amazon use for their windows servers, I'm afraid you will have to go for a dedicated server instead of a virtual machine.

• Problem installing ColdFusion 8

  Hello, I just downloaded and tried to install the developer version of CF8. He says that the installation worked properly, but for a 'non lethal' mistake - not deadly, perhaps, but the cfm pages who worked yesterday in CF5 do work not now (HTTP 505 error).
  
  I first learned about this error at the end of the installation, in a small window indicating "an unhandled exception ('System.Net.Sockets.SocketException') occurred in JNBDotNetSide.exe [2656]" and offer debugging using Microsoft .NET 2005 (I installed as well, because at first I thought that I would have a contract to help that - which I would have had to learn, because I am ignorant of it - this contract is a not unfold but I do not have a new contract to help) ColdFusion, in which I was a good programmer 5 years ago).

For what it's worth, in the Windows Task Manager, processes, I don't see anything that I recognize as the CF8 server, although I do not see CF8DotNetsvc.exe.
  
  (b) I currently use localhost: 8080 to my local host. localhost:80 has stopped working after a friend helped me set up my computer to run a video phone application (D-link); which required taking the usual octal IP address, I recall (maybe 198.xxx.xxx.1?)   I found that it was easier to disable firewall completely during installation. Once it has been installed and working properly I have re-enabled the firewall. Then understood what I need to tweak/configure to allow access settings. For me it was easier to do it the other way around.

• vSphere 5 and local IIS Web server

  Sorry for my English, I'm Italian and I'm new to this community, but I have a problem with my vsphere 5.

  I created a host with vsphere 5, inside of this host, I have 1 Small Business Server 2011 Microsoft VM and 2 virtual machines Windows 7 Professional.

  Infrastructure is:

  1 Fritzbox router attached to an hp proliant server.

  Inside of the server I have 5 and within esx esx vmware, I have 3 virtual machines

  Now, I have installed a local Web server in 1 virtual machine with Windows 7 Professional and IIS 7

  I have a static IP and I have configured the router to forward traffic from the static ip address to my internal LAN to a specific IP (the ip of my local web server)

  I open in my router port 80 for web traffic and open port 80 also in my firewall windows 7, but when I try to join my vm from the outside, the local web server virtual machine does not work. Is there any configuration, I need firewall configuration ESX?

  To the internet:

  Telnet 80 using a Windows command prompt. It seems that you do not specify a port 80, as it is said "... port 23, failed connection.

• Newbie problems with getting a local server from the BFC set

  It started in another post by me about what I thought, it was a problem with port 8500. I had looked at the getting started with video CFB, and on that, he used localhost as the server name and as the host name. He then assigned port 8500 as the Port of the Web server.

  When I do that it is in the windows as stopped servers. If I try to start it the error I get is

  You must specify the BFC BFC server must use in order to preview the file.

  If you need to associate a server with this project. To do this, right-click on the project-> properties-> ColdFusion server settings.

  Here in the "Server" dropdown list, select the server that you have added in CFB.

  Once this is done, make sure that your project is in the root of the document from the server in your case, that could be the Inetpub\wwwroot.

  Once this is done, the preview should work.

  When I try to display a report in the dashboard, the following error is popping up "[nQSError: 46029] failed to load /usr/local/OracleBI/server/Bin/libnqsdbgatewayoci10g.so DLL.
  I moved my RPD and the catalogue from my local computer to the linux machine. Reports have been running well on the local computer.
  The order of installation of the Oracle Client, Java, OBIEE is in order. Have defined the TNS_ADMIN variable to point to $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin, variable LD_LIBRARY_PATH points to $ORACLE_HOME/lib. But still the same error.
  PLS, let me know if anyone has experienced this problem and solved it.

• CF8 on 32-bit Server 2008 installation Issues

  Install new Server 2008 with IIS7, new download CF8 developer version (not the 64-bit version).  The administrator will not be displayed.  When I go to the administrator, I get a 404 not found error.  When I browse Explorer (not IE), it is there.  Everything is installed in the default folders.  I added the MIME Type (application/x-cfm) .cfm via the Service Manager IIS and that did not help.  Our other servers are Server2003 and install CF8 was a breeze.  We can view HTML pages.

  Anyone have any ideas?

• Pavilion p7-1010 BV703AA: problem installing HP Solutions Framework Support

  Running OS Build 10586.17 Windows 10, I couldn't installthe Support Solutions Framework.  I always get the following error message attached.

  I was able to install the framework of Solutions on a Virtual Machine running the same version of Windows 10 and on my computer hp mini 110-1100 CTO PC without any problem.  Both successful systems were 'new' 10 Windows installs the installation on my Pavilion p7-1010 is an upgrade of a Windows 7 Pro.  I'm guessing that some junk from my previous installation might be the problem, but the error message gives no clue as to what could be the problem.

  Well, I finally solved the problem of installation by reviewing the Setup log file in my ~ temp directory.  It turns out that at some point, I've cleaned too many hp related files in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Hp\Common, i.e. C:\Program Files (x86)\Hp\Common\AclmControl.exe.  I managed to copy a bunch of files of my virtualbox windows 10 install on my local machine and I got the HP Support Assistant to install!

  We have a local DNS server that has a strange problem. If a user insert new internet address DNS will cut this internet user. So every time that the user want to insert the new internet address that he must fix his connection and then refresh the browser to display the page.
