Problem reading DL DVD in my DVD player

I've recently updated my bios and motherboard on gateway support, after the first burner a few DVDs and it read no more virgins dvd R DL, he reads out a DL media. I bought another cause in car, I thought that maybe came out, but it wasn't the problem, I tried the Microsoft fix, but did not work. My first player get undected when I put a DL, and on my other drive it keeps spinning.  What could be the problem?

Hello

The readers work with other drives? Are they evaluated to work with the DL? Have you tried other
brands?

I don't know when the problem first occurred. This morning, I tried to install a software scrapbook. The drive seems to be running... I can here fan start when I put the disc. I never had the installation to the program menu. I went to look for the dvd player do a manual install, but there was not a listed DVD player. O_o I tried to install a different program to have the same results... no DVD drive not recognized. After a more thorough review in computer Manager I see that there is a yellow! on the DVD RW AD - 7560 ATA Device. I also have this message under properties for the reader - Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. • Cannot read the DVD player.

    Hello

I have a laptop Compaq Presario A900. Currently, the DVD player does not work properly. After reviewing the Device Manager, the DVD drive reports the following error: "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19) ». I tried to uninstall the DVD device in the Device Manager and rebooted the computer. After that he tried to reinstall the device, I get the same error message. Any ideas on what needs to be changed in the registry to re - activate the DVD player?

    Thank you

Hello Mike and thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately, it still does not work properly.

My laptop running Windows Vista and the product is of # A931NR.

I ran and installed the VISTA MS Fix It utility, as you suggested. He filled the diagnoses and recommended to reinstall the CD/DVD driver. However, the reader does not always show upward under my computer and Device Manager still says "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19) ».

It seems to be a problem in the registry that prevents the CD/DVD drive to correctly seting is placed in the system.  You have any other suggestions? I really appreciate it.

Could you tell me where that comes from and how to solve my problem?

  • Having a problem with my DVD player with regard to media playback

    Hello

I have recently had problems with my DVD ROM read drive media correctly, when I put in a computer game (lets say Star Craft 2 as an example at random) Autorun makes me up some options and says it's an image and request either 1.) Open the files and view them, or 2.) See all photos in Windows and some other similar options.
It will not recognize the game as a game and will not bring up the menu to install the game or whatever it is, sorta solve this problem I put the automatic run settings so that it opens files in the photo (since it is the software game image processing) and once he opens the folder I click on the installation program manually.
I checked my driver to ensure that it is up-to-date.
For any help or suggestion will be welcome.

    SOLVED!

I found out with a little research it was Vista blocks the autorun.inf files in games and keep them to read and run the .exe files automatically and so he held a photo, thank you for the help and suggestions.
  • Reading the dvd player flv files...

    Hi all

I work with Flash for a while, but never attempted to run a Flash project from a dvd player, I thought it would be homogeneous, but of course, it wasn't. I have a project of e-learning with a Main.html, Main.swf and many .flvs sitting in different folders. Using Flash Builder, I've compiled all my bin-release folder, tested, and everything was well-oiled, no complaints. When I dropped all of those files on a dvd, the Main.html charge toward the top of the Main.swf, but NONE of the .flv files. Also, when I copy all the files from the dvd on my computer, I see the same results when no charge of the .flv.

Can someone explain to me why this is happening? Is there something I need to do for .flv files to play from a dvd player?

Thanks for your help, very confused.

  • Problem reading CD/DVD

    Hello

My vista laptop CD drive is not read or write. I uninstalled and restart the player but still does not work. I used fix it Center to solve the problem and could not fix it. The problem that poster is 'media in the CD/DVD drive is not readable. How can this be repaired? If it helps, IDE ATA, DMA as a couple of readers have no option to activate and these channels of two disks is not activated. Thank you

    Hello

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and
the correct registry entries for your car.

Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive
as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
    the parameters.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE

  • Problem with CD/DVD player...

I have a Dell Studio with Windows Vista installed as the operating system.  The problem I've had since graduating from the computer, is that it will not read a single DVD and only a handful of CD.  I tried every DVD I can get my hands on so I know that the DVD themselves are not the problem.  Any light anyone could throw on this problem would be a great help.  Thanks for your time.

Have you already gone through all the articles that I have posted and tried several different Mr. Fix - it notes in them?  We cannot help you if you do not have our recommendations.  If you are looking for an easy answer, it is not a.  These are troubleshooting for this type of problem and perhaps only one of them will work (or maybe none of them will work) - but the only way to know is to try.

If you honestly went through all the procedures, I have listed and the problem persists, then I suggest that it is a hardware problem and you need to take it to a computer for the service repair shop as these options pretty well cover all the possibilities of the software.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Equium L350D - mechanical problem with CD/DVD player

Hello world! I hope that someone out there will be able to help me with this problem.

I have a TOSHIBA EQUIUM L350D with a CARPET * A DVD-RAM UJ-850 s ATA Device like the CD/DVD drive. Recently, the small plastic disc that fits on the center pin and the handles of the CD or the DVD has started to come adrift when the drawer is closed and the rotation starts; It's a horrible grating noiise! The small plastic disc appears to push on the center pin and I tried pressing the home more firmly, but still, it breaks off at the speed.

So I want to know: is there a way to secure the disc plastic safe? And if not, the only solution is to replace the drive? I don't know how I got into all this.

Thank you very much in advance for your help!

I m quite skeptical that you will be able to solve this problem. Check on eBay if you can buy the new driver.

Replacement should not be that complicated, and it will be certainly simpler to solve this problem.

  • Satellite Pro L500-12F - problem with CD/DVD player and screen

    Hello...

I have a few questions on my laptop...

    1. is it normal that the DVD rom on some DVD/CD it is very noisy and vibrates a lot, spesialy on older CD

    2. the lid of my laptop when I close its kinda not in harmony with the rest of the pc it is not fully aligned, but it's a little difficult to see wait when you look for it... but its good on and what is not lost or anything just not setting for the "body" of the laptop

    3. the cover still once, under the screen where the cover is mounted on the 'body' off the laptop so... It is not glued to the screen as the rest of the rolled edges it is right next to him that you can drag into it, so you can see the wires enter the screen etc.
    is this normal?

    -Thank you

    Hey Pedersen37,

    (1) maybe your old CD's doesn't work correctly. What happens if you try the same disks in another computer?

Regarding your display/cover problem if you mean that you can see the cables that they go into the screen I can see it on my laptop. Normally, all the cables are invisible and under the plastic.
He s strange to say something on the subject but maybe a lid plastic isn't installed correctly or a screw is missing

If you think that something isn't normal, you should contact your authorized service provider. They can check the laptop.

  • Re: Satellite C660-125 DVD player can't read DVD

    Hi guys

I have a C660-125 and its developed a problem with the DVD player. It can read CDs and burn fine CD, but it won't read or burn DVDs at all.

I used a laser cleaner, I also googled firmware but can't find anything for her.

Any ideas what is wrong with it?

    The model is TS-L633

    > I used a laser cleaner, I also googled firmware but can't find anything for her.

I cleaned my alcohol BIZARRE or cotton tip laser lens and it worked like a charm. In your case worth a try too.

In addition if an ODD firmware would be available, then you should find it on the European driver Toshiba page.
I checked, but did not find a firmware for TS-L633 means that this firmware update is not necessary.

But I found this Toshiba document:
_ODD firmware update to solve problems with the Toshiba creator_ recovery CD
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB9C02RP0000R01.htm

But beware: the document contains files different firmware for TS-L633 on different sides. If your ODD is not on the list, don t try update firmware for your ODD would harm to the use of the firmware is not compatible!

  • A very strange problem with DVD player (some DVD play not)

    Hello everyone.

I bought a laptop Dell Inspiron 3543 2 months ago. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product, but I have a problem with the DVD player. When I insert some DVD discs, the driver reads some DVDs but not others. After trying to play DVDs, I see that the DVD player play about half of the DVD I'm looking for. Although I can guarantee, I didn't send my laptop to the service because I can't work even a day without my cell phone. So, in order to solve the problem, I bought a DVD player new, original Dell (the same model of dvd player, which is Panasonic Matshita DVD +-RW UJ8E2). Today I started using my new DVD player, but it also has the same problem as my old DVD drive or it also does not play some DVD.

To make the issue even more strange, here are some details:

-My dvd drives have no problem and I have tried many original DVDs (especially the original films). And all the dvd disks that do not play on my computer play on other computers with no problems. There is no problem with the disks.

-Certainly no problem with the "DVD region Code". I use original DVDs with region code 2, which is the area code for my country.

-All my drivers, the operating system and the dvd drive drivers are up to date. When I look at my DVD drive properties, it is written that "the dvd drive works properly.

-When I insert a DVD disc, if my DVD player he plays, he plays each time. But if my dvd player does not play a dvd, and then he never plays it. So, there is a consistency in the dvd disc set to play or not. When a DVD disc does not play, my DVD player rolls the drive some time and then the DVD done pretending as if there is no disc in the drive.

-Both my old and newly purchased DVD drives have exactly the same problem, so I think that there's no problem like a lens dirty. I also think that there is no mechanical problem with one of my DVD drives because my newly purchased, original DVD player also has the same problem.

I thank everyone for any help or advice in advance.

Today, I received my dvd player third, new, Chinese, not original from a seller of spare part. He plays all DVDs with no problems. :)

If in the future someone always has the same problem as me and read this Web page to find a solution, you know where is the problem.
