  This will refresh the driver for the TouchPad and battery USB. This does not prevent the touchpad from working.

  Disks SATA III should be used in SATA III computers. Try one of the Corsair 64 GB SATA II drives. Other brands also works, but I prefer Corsair (Corsair Memory also have).

  It's my second HP laptop and I've always been happy with HP products. As you know that my model has 2 discs hard hitachi (320 GB, 7200 RPM).  Now a few days ago, I noticed a problem with a secondary hard drive. I was unable to read the files on it, and moving them to had ' 'C' (primary) (secondary) was a pain. It has been very slow and sometimes blocked at startup. My 1 year warranty expired 2 months ago

  I would spend 4 GB memory to 8.  It seems to me that two of your DDR3-1333 4 GB modules would work, but I am not sure.  I tried to run the memory verification program, but it does not work for me.  Two of these modules will work in my machine?

  I believe that your laptop memory is DDR2, if that's the case, DDR3 won't work (or made) because they are physically different modules

  This is the upgrade for you mobile recommended by Crucial

  Check the memory you already have installed using CPU-Z - when it is installed, launch the application, click the SPD tab (if it shows nothing change memory slot selection in the drop-down list box) and check if your memory is displayed as DDR2.

• Problems with the DVD on Pavilion dv6-2010sa

  HP Pavilion dv6-2010sa laptop computer (under Windows 7 x 64), I bought less than a week ago.

  I started the disk recovery software to back up my OS in the event of future disasters.

  I used a DVD + disc, so it would take 3 discs to do the recovery disks.

  First DVD completed successfully. Software asked me to enter the disk 2.

  This is where I started to have problems.

  Drive recovery software couldn't recognize my blank dvd +.

  The drive makes a lot of noise, but then stopped making noise.

  I tried a few other DVDs +, but to no avail.

  I rebooted the computer laptop and tried but same problem.

  So I tried to play a dvd movie to see if it was the disk recovery software or the dvd player.

  He would not play a dvd movie.

  I also tried to play an audio CD but the same problem.

  The drive icon appears in Windows Explorer, but does not display any info (or open the CD / DVD) when I have a CD or a DVD in there.

  So it seems to be a problem with the DVD-> grateful not any CD / DVD

  If someone can advise?

  PS. I searched the driver DVD (so I could Reinstall driver) but the HP Web site does not contain the driver for 2010sa (DVD software only)

  Problem solved.

  Uninstall the device dvd player:

  -Device Manager > do a right-click post dvd/cd player > uninstall the device

  Restart the laptop and OS will reinstall the driver and the DVD/CD drive should start working again (well this is what has happened to me)

• Problem with internet high speed - Pavilion m8000n nForce

  I have a client with a computer of m8000n Pavilion under Vista Home Premium SP1.  It has LAN nForce chip.  When they returned to travel, the internet was moving incredibly slow (they have a wired 15 Mbps).  I checked the RAM, conducted an audit full disc, then checked the SMART status of the hard drive.  Everything from fine & was functioning normally.  This led me to believe that there may be a problem with the LAN driver.   There is no updated driver I can find for it.  I have an Internet search and found someone who has had a similar problem which was resolved by changing the flow control setting in the properties of the device.  I made this change & could make 4 restarts without the problem does not happen.  Someone knows something similar?  If Yes, have you solved the problem & how?  I want to be sure that the problem does not jump upward in the near future, so I will try to find answers.  Virus protection software they use is AVG 8.5.  They also have Spybot Search Destroy & with Malwarebytes Anti-malware (both of these programs must be run manually, even if Spybot's Tea Timer using).  I have run these same programs on many computers & don't have never experienced this problem.  They have multiple laptops in the House who don't know the slowdowns at all (they all wireless - the office is wired).  The router they have is a Netgear WNDR3300.  There is another office on the floor that is wired on the same router that doesn't have any internet speed problems (also your desktop HP - not sure of the model number, but it is a Pentium Dual Core, clocked at 2 GHz).  The ethernet wiring has been checked with a Fluke Microscaner 2 - it does not work properly.  The cable length is approximately 100 ' (the upstairs computer cable is longer).  It is a disconcerting problem.  If anyone has any ideas, your contribution will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

  I appreciate all the entries, but I forgot this thread (it is 2 years old).  I was out of town when the problem resurfaced, while they had someone recharge the system & upgrade to Windows 7 - the problem has not been returned.  I wish, however, that HP had not removed non-destructive reinstall Windows Vista & Windows 7 machines.  It was a huge harm to their customers.

  I'm having a very difficult problem.

  I am attaching a script in a handler for a menu item, by using an installation script menu that I wrote based on one by Marc Autret. My version of the script menu installation attach a bunch of event handlers at the same time, to the actions of different menu.

  What is the event handler, with that I have a problem is to prompt the user for a URL and then applies the URL as a hyperlink to the text selection, with our house style for the way in which the URL should look like.

  The problem is the following:

  1. all other installed menu actions work very well, except for this one.

  2. the addition of URL script works fine, when you run it directly from the script menu.

  3. the combination of #1 and #2 (using the script to add URL by function as an event handler in the Edit menu) blocks to InDesign. But it is only after the addition of URL script has finished and done what it was supposed to do!

  4. when I comment on the section of the script URL adding user input, so that instead of saying

  userInput = myDisplayDialog();
  

  It is said

  It works well as an event handler.

  So obviously a problem with the dialog box, but only when adding URL script is executed as an event handler. My first guess is that this is some kind of memory leak, but I think I am following the model of. destroy() the way I saw it elsewhere.

• Desktop HP Pavilion - p7 1549: problems with my desktop HP Pavilion - p7 1549

  I have problems with my desktop computer, do very strange things.  A few weeks ago, it would not start and complained no found boot device.   I went into the bios setup and just reset the values by default and it worked for a few weeks.  Now it does not start at all.

  I tried to access the system with F11 recovery and he complains about some secure boot options, I tried to disable secure boot and it still does not work.

  I tried to put another disc in and install Windows on it, but I could not.  Is it possible to upgrade the BIOS by booting to a USB port?  I tried to download the new bios file, but it didn't do anything after that I ran it (he didn't not create a folder for me).

  Everything seems really slow, takes a few minutes to get into the bios or boot options.  I took out the hard drive and plugged into another computer with an external enclosure and my other computer recognizes the drive.

  I tried to do a system restore to factory default start repair/restore and all have failed.  I deleted very recently on the main partition on my drive to try to install 10 Windows on the drive.  The computer appears to be frozen for a long time before continuing with the guests of installation.

  I took out the CMOS battery and you press the power button with the computer unplugged.

  Don't know what else I can try, I'm starting to think that something is wrong with the motherboard.  The computer starts up fine and I can boot a USB Windows install and the keyboard, mouse and video work.

  I think the next thing I will try is tent to start on a standalone update or ubuntu USB boot bios.

  Not really concerned about my data, I just want to get this computer working again.

  I just unboxed it today and now the first problem I faced...

  The keyboard and the wireless mouse do not connected possible fault in the USB receiver that displays no lights when it is connected to the computer... I tried to connect to all the PORTs and the receiver receives no LED light on it so is not conenct to the mouse and the keyboard, even if I keep the button connect, supported on the mouse and the keyboard. The mouse lights are turned on but it does not sync with my PC... I tried to call the HP support center here in INDIA that is not 24 hours, even if they announce it comes 24 hours support... no one answered it because their working time is from 09:00 to 18:00 so sick!

  Then I went to the HP site and followed the link to support that asked me my HP product number and serial number and then there was a link to cat technical support when I went through the cat asked the Executive he tried to solve problems and then when there probly came to a conclusion when he said he would send me a new mouse and receiver it asked me my address at the hearing, I am of the India he said that he will transfer the Chat to an Indian executive support, who came to ask me the same questions, then he told me it is a consumer product, so I need to talk to voice Support team and I could not help on the CHAT! How irritating is that... I have a printer HP ever made a problem with it... and this system has a value of 64 990 /-INR which isn't a small amount and it is the kind according to the sale, I get...

  Is he one of the support here for the response team and address this issue?

  OK after almost 10 calls back to the HP Helpline, Station of Service HP, HP support line... Finally, I got a new keyboard, mouse and Receiver USB keyboard doenst look alike as it came with my system then obviously, it's just another keyboard HP wireless which is brought... they were just trying to buy time by saying that the keyboard is not available and other stuffs... slightly bad experience but finally the problem was solved...

  My only comments to HP India support would be

  (1) CHECK THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT THAT YOU SHIP BEFORE YOU SHIP TO THE CUSTOMER)
  (2) if one of the devices are dead on arrival, take the question on a priority support and fix before 48 hours.
  (3) notify your tracking service center and update the client on their case instead of them calling you 10 times.

  I installed a memory card of 1 GB DDR2 PC2-4300 and it caused my system crash. What can I do to fix this? I'm running on an a1340n HP Pavilion with WIN XP Media Center Edition 2005 with Service Pack 3.

  I was trying to spend with more memory. I am the computer must be able to handle up to 2 gigabytes of memory.

  The old card memory is a 16HTF12864AY-53EB1 Micron 1 GB DDR2 - 533 DDR2 SDRAM. The news is an A0TFT PO142131 - T of PNY 1 GB DDR2-533 DDR2 SDRAM.

  I ran MEMTest 4.10 and WIN Diagnostics. I found more than a hundred errors listed on the most recent memory PNY card.  I sent back to the manufacturer, complaining that it was defective. This one is about a week since I received it.  And unfortunately I encounter the same problem.  What should I do to fix this problem?

  Your problem is... The RELEVANT memory Modules (2 different brands!)

  REPLACE... by CORRESPONDENT units. This goal is achievable, if you BUY BOTH! From the SAME place!

• Device base system &amp; coprocessor problem with driver Windows 7 - Pavilion dv9720us

  I have a HP Pavilion dv9720us which was very glitch with Vista 32 bit.  After saving all on an external hard drive from Seagate Replica, I did a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit.  Everything seems to work, but I get error messages stating that the x 2 Base system device is not working because it doesn't have the correct driver, the coprocessor is also mentioned as not having not the correct driver.  All 3 of these devices are listed in the other devices category in Device Manager.   In addition, my laptop has 4 GB of RAM and still Windows 7 recognizes only 2 GB.  Help!  I deliberately enhanced to reduce the glitchy Vista answers. I could go on Windows 7 32 bit, but I don't know who's going to solve all my problems.

  Remove your Ram and install it again.

  Notes:

  1. ensure that, then you have no battery or ac adapter connected to your laptop.

  2 Manufacter installed in this model 2048 MB of Ram (2 GB), so if you have not added 2 GB on your own all is ok.

  There will always be problems and your really have 4 GB:

  You check Ram with Memtest86 + or GoldMemory. Just burn it on CD *.iso file and run the test. You may need to change the boot sequence in the Bios (to get the BIOS press F10 boot).

  We have some Wyse terminals that have problems when sending through scanned documents.

  It seems to max out of memory, accidents so that software is scanning.

  We seek to improve the flash/ram but would prefer not to as it is expensive.

  The only software that runs on the Wyse is Citrix Receiver, then installing the software remotely. It works in time, but generally it will pull the memory max.

  Is there a minimum specification that Remote Scan requires to run properly?

  The problem is actually with the images themselves using the memory. RemoteScan application requires very little resources, but when a scan is completed, the analysis is stored in memory before she gets the transfer on the network. So, there are a few things you can do to help here:

  If you do several pages, go remotescan settings and make sure that the 'continue to analyze when sending pages"is NOT checked. This will prevent remotescan queues a bunch of scanned pages while you wait for the images to get transfer on the network.

  The other thing you can do is to reduce the size of the action of the scanned images. Unless you need color images, remember to use 8-bit grayscale or B & W scans. And unless you require high resolution, use 200 dpi or less. This will help keep the size of the smaller images, so they do not have the memory resources on the thin client.
