Problem with router network adapter connection
Wireless running for three months. Then just stopped. Tried to reconnect using Linksys installation disc. When I get to the stage where I connect the network adapter to the router I get message that there is no connection. The cables are not at fault (checked), I bought a new router and got to step, even once, does not connect. My cable modem will connect that same network adapter and works. I don't see anything that has changed with the system to stop smoking. Any ideas/suggestions
The system is INS 530 with Broadcom 802.11 network adapter g, Intel R 2 - 82562V 10/100

Problem with the network connection Wireless since installation of win 7.
I ve just installed Windows 7 last week and no problems until yesterday when all of a sudden my laptop can´t to connect to my wireless network... Strange because my Iphone can't, so it seems like there is no problem with the network.
And the funny part is that when it detects one network different, other than mine, it connects and works very well!I ve tried unplugging the laptop and Wi - Fi connection, but it just says that it can´t to connect to the network... He finds it, but when I click on connect it says only: No..
What to do?
Hi KlinzmannFussballspielerin,
Welcome to the Microsoft Answers community.
Before you try the procedure below, change the security settings for the firewall at various levels and check if the problem persists.
I suggest you to update the network drivers.
Steps to update of network driver:
1. click on the Start button.
2. in the search box type devmgmt.msc, and then press ENTER.
3. Select the network device and right click on it
4. now, select Properties.
5. in the Properties window, on the driver tab, click Update driver.
6. After installing the updates, restart the computer.
For more information visit http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Finding-drivers-What-to-do-when-your-hardware-wont-work-with-Windows-Vista
To solve your problem, try to turn on network discovery. To do this follow the steps below:
1. Open advanced sharing settings by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type network, click Network and sharing Center, and then, in the navigation pane, click on change settings for sharing advanced.
2. click on the chevron to expand the current network profile.
3. click turn on network discovery and then click on save changes. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
To learn more about this feature, please visit the below mentioned link:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/what-is-network-discovery
If the problem persists then I suggest you to reset the network adapter settings. Then follow the steps below
To reset the stack TCP/IP go to this article and either click on "Fix it for me" or follow the instructions to fix it yourself:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/299357
Disable the IP helpdesk:
1 hold the Windows key and type R, type "services.msc" (without the quotes) and press enter
2. scroll down to the IP assistance service, right-click on it and select Properties
3. in the drop-down list box that says "Automatic" or "Manual", set it to disabled and then click 'apply '.
4. then click on "Stop" to stop the service from running in the current session
5. click on OK to exit the dialog box

NOTE: You should do this for each network connection.
Disable the DHCP broadcast flag: link: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/928233
Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/322756
(How to back up and restore the registry in Windows)
Windows Vista cannot obtain an IP address from certain routers or some non-Microsoft DHCP servers
To resolve this issue, disable the DHCP BROADCAST flag in Windows Vista. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, type regedit in the search box, and then click regedit in the list programs.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\ {GUID}
3. in this registry path, click the (GUID) subkey that corresponds to the network adapter that is connected to the network.
4. on the Edit menu, point to new, and then click DWORD (32-bit) value.
5. in the new area #1, type DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle and press ENTER.
6 right-click DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle, then click on modify.
7. in the value data box, type 1 and then click OK.
8. close the registry editor.
By setting this registry key to 1, Windows Vista's trying to get an IP address using the BROADCAST flag in DHCP Discover packets. If that fails, he will try to obtain an IP address without using the BROADCAST flag in DHCP Discover packets.
Hope this information is useful.
Let me know if it worked.
Thank you, and in what concerns:

Satellite A660 / 07P - problems with my browsers, internet connection
Hey guys,.
I just brought a Satellite A660 / 07P.
I have problems with my browsers, internet connection. After a period of time (varies) my browsers stop to connect to internet.
Skype works fine, as does my download manager and other internet services. When I run an internet system restore works again for a period of time, before picking up the handset.
I used this happens with all browsers (IE, Firefox and Chrome).Any help is greatly appreciated.
Ry ~.
Hi dude
Skype works fine. Right?
This means that the laptop is connected properly to the router and the internet connection has been established successfully.
I think that a firewall can affect the functionality of the browser. Check the firewall settings. In addition you should check if other installed 3rd party tools to affect the functionality of the browser.
Verify installed toolslast but not least you could clean the operating system. Use the CCleaner.
Free is nice tools. -
Problems with wireless USB adapter. Icon missing "Wireless network connection".
I recently got a laptop HD malfunction cause me to start my PC from 2004. I bought a Belkin N150 Wireless USB adapter to connect to the internet connectivity. During the installation, I do not get a "Wireless network connection" icon I am running Windows XP SP3. I installed the same USB adapter on a computer running Windows XP SP2 and it works fine. I plugged it in my desktop PC and it just doesn't work! Even with my router disconnected I should still be able to see other networks WiFi available in the range (I live in a community of apartment) as he worked on the other computer it elsewhere too. I double checked the drivers, reboot the cable modem, so that appropriate services were activated and still no dice. I have read forums and I'm almost at the point of paying MS for technical support services, but it's really just my last step before I shell out money for professional help. Notice to lovers? =)
Hello
Well, at this point, you should make an executive decision.
If you think that someone will take just guilt because it's comfortable, it is not going to happen.
If a new card that is known to work does not work, then you can try to re - install Windows.
One of the differences between computer enthusiasts and regular users is the availability of the material. I have a set of wireless router, network cards, etc. that are known to be good.
The components are used for the sole purpose of trying them temporarily on the troubled computers to rule out hardware problems.

Elitepad 900 problems with wi - fi - limited connectivity networks
Just bought the Elitepad 900 32 GB, Win 8 Pro 32-bit.
I have a problem connecting to my network wi - fi. It is an open network - anyone can connect; I managed to connect my smartphone Galaxy S2 with no problems.
Once the connection is established, I receive a "limited connectivity" and not internet access. When I 'fix' the network connection I get some more connected time and then it happens again.
The diagnoses that presents 'repair the network connection' is: predefined lack gateway and bad IP configuration (I think that - because the language of my pc is not English).
I installed the latest drivers running the .exe directly (as an administrator) and also the Softpack Manager.
The problem remains.
Also, when I use the Softpack allways get an error... it telling me that there is a new version available.
Has anyone ran into this problem?

After struggling around this problem, after most of the suggestions that you left, update to the latest released HP wi - fi driver, change the power adapter settings, rolling back to previous versions of drivers...
I decided to google for Qualcomm instead of HP drivers.
I found this one: http://drivers.downloadatoz.com/vendor_atheros_type_network-card/415775, atheros-ar6004-wifi-adapter-3-7-0-206/Then, I uninstalled the device in Device Manager, rebooted, looked for new devices and used the driver that I downloaded.
He worked for longer than ever before. Updates in the next few days.
Thank you all for your answers
Best regards

Hi guys,.
This week, my HP Pavilion dv 9700 had problems connecting to my LAN. (Windows Vista OS)
By trial and error, as suggested by my network support, I thought that the problem was the laptop and not on the network.
After that, I managed to make it work by jumping through hoops like the rotation of the network adapter, reboot the laptop and then restart the map. After three days, that is no longer working and I have the feeling that the network card is simply liked work. (Network appears as Local and unidentified and still keep identification)
The wireless card does not work, I am posting this from my university network. So I guess that the wireless and ethernet card are separate pieces of equipment?
These cards can be repaired or replaced?
I would be happy with all the guidance as a student, I have a little to my internet for everything.
Yes, absolutely.
Do a search for USB RJ-45 network adapter. You can get those up to 100 MB connection speeds or 1 GB ot.

Problem SQLDEVELOPER the network adapter could not establish the connection
Hello I have a strange problem with SQL Developer (2.1.63) under Linux (Debian-testing-squeez/sid) version of the version: java java "1.6.0_16.
Java (TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_16 - b01)
Java hotspot Server VM (build 14, 2 - b01, mixed mode)
Java is a debian .deb (sun-java6-jre, sun-java6-jdk).
Whenever I try to connect to a database running on the remote server, I got error the network adapter could not establish the connection.
(connection to base and also tnsnames connection)
Sqlplus on the same machine works very well with the same connection settings, I also try the same SQLDEVELOPER version in the windows box and I had no problem with the connection.
what I tried:
1. in the course of running tcpdump eth0 dst db01x-i on the client and I don't got no network traffic going out of the box
2.i have also tried tcpdump - neither eth0 host 192.168.3.9 and port 1521 on the server database to be sure, but also no traffic
3. put the database server in/etc/hosts nothing change
4. change the level of logging of the SQLDEVELOPER, but no significant errors
5 different versions of the jdbc (ojdbc5.jar, ojdbc6.jar) connector
I'd appreciate any help in this topic.
BR and thx ThomasThis problem is probably with java networks interacting with a new parameter to the default kernel in Debian. Among the bugs identified on this is here - [http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=560056]
Two things to try, from various bug reports, are
(1) "echo 0 >/proc/sys/net/ipv6/bindv6only ' and make this change permanent if it works
(2) edit {sqldeveloper home}/sqldeveloper/bin/sqldeveloper.conf and add the line}
"AddVMOption - Djava .net .preferIPv4Stack = true '.Jean Paul

Problem with the network connection security
When I try to view certain websites, I get an error message that says: "there is a problem with the security of your connection Metwork. In addition, a friend just sent me a copy of an e-mail that was sent to him. Apparently, someone must have hacked into my email account, has obtained my contact list, created an e-mail account using my name and sent e-mails to people on my contact list.
How can I fix the problem with the warranty of my network connection, and what I can do on the pirate e-mail contacts list?
Can you give an example of the websites that you see this 'error' on?
