• Problem with Officejet 6500 has more wireless on my Mac running Lion

  I just got the Officejet 6500 has more. I was able to make it work with my HP PC Windows XP (would not work with the radio, but it's probably a problem with this computer - connected very well with USB). But I don't see the option to add it on my Mac (main computer) running OS Lion. I'm completely updated on Mac software. I see my other printer as usual (also a HP) on Mac.

  Tried to reboot several times. I looked on the HP site to various articles and it seems that I might need to make an update of the firmware on the printer, but when I downloaded the software (on the PC), my printer is gray and so wouldn't let me - or does not need the upgrade. Then. I can't see the printer on the Mac and don't know what else to do. Ideas? Thank you... Is the printer on my wireless network - I can not see the IP address and others.

  I don't really know exactly what I did - added to the printer with its IP address and manually the software (added name - I also had a HP update tonight for the printer software, but that only did nothing), then printing I tried and it still would not work.  I used the adjusted IP address, which I found on the dashboard of Verizon. And for some reason, once I put that in manually on the printer, it remained there, even when in desperation I tried to put it back the "detect network" setting. Sorry - but this is not quite logical or in the order.

  Also, I restarted the router, then the printer. Somewhere among all the things I tried, to my amazement, it finally worked! At first, I saw the IP address as the name of the printer (which I had entered it), and then he asked to be changed to the actual model. I did it and it now seems to work. Here, I could tell exactly what I did, but perhaps in what I wrote, you will get a glow and know WHY it worked?

  I use a printer-E709n and thank you and all the others to try to help me with this problem, but I found the solution to my problem.  It seems that not all e-icons are not created equal.  I have internet access of the e icon on the start page of Windows 8 when I should have access through the e icon on the office page.  They take you to two different pages.  Open Web page through the e-icon of the start page has no internet tool gear symbol in the header (the symbol of charm tool gear does not bind to the printer either) and clicking on Ctrl-P does not bring to the top of the window to print even as in previous versions of Windows.  My spirit guide was able to get this information for me.

  I'm looking for a way to download the latest driver and firmware base packages for my Officejet 6500 E710a-f for Windows 7, x 64 (latest patches and service packs applied).

  Regardless of the road I take (including the link called "Download drivers"), finding drivers inevitably leads me to the same page that contains the vertical tabs named 'Troubleshooting', 'How to' and so on and none of the links - not even under 'options to support more' - led to a Basic downloadable driver package. In fact, none of them leads to a downloadable driver package of all kinds. The most that I could find is that package Wizard driver installation that attempts to download the package that I am not interested in-oh and a few mentions in the KB articles downloadable driver packages.

  I also tried "Printer Setup, Installation" & Setup and then variously "Installation, install & connect printer ' and 'Software updates' & Firmware, which none offer a downloadable package.

  This used to work perfectly fine a few months ago, but now I'm getting round on the same page over and over again. I can not find the basic driver or the software for the printer more.

  Where can I find the basic driver package (used about 30 MB in size) in order to avoid the crapware included in the package (130MO) "full feature" more great who gets automatically downloaded to an unknown destination on my hard drive using this driver installation wizard. It's my PC and I want to be the one who decides in which runs when and how. Now I can try to track down the location of download using ProcMon and what not, but it would give me is this package 'feature complete' with a bunch of crapware added on strictly necessary. How to get the base driver package?

  Never mind. Fascinating, the "Download drivers" link under the Support tab at the top leads to a different page that the link "search for drivers' next to my question posted .

  Both methods require enter the name of the model (after picking "Printers" in the first case) in a similar way, but the former led in circles on the same page with no possibility to download, while the latter one immediately takes me to the downloads, I was looking for.

  I just purchased the officejet 6500 wireless (e709n) and was surprised to learn that it seems it will be a good time for hp out full windows 7 drivers for the printer.  I was wondering if there is a possible way to configure the printer for wired networks or wireless without a driver installation package, or I don't have a chance for a while?

  Thanks for the tip - I played a little with it and had the impression to work on the network wireless through the configuration of the printer itself which I didn't realize was possible.  He cannot yet directly analyze without the usb connection, but I saw the webscan application that also works without the full featured software.

  I downloaded the full program of the Solution, but get this message while trying to install:

  I ran a unistall hp drivers that were already here on my system as you suggest, then run the installer of complete software functionality that I already had but would not install. Print / Scan / Solution Center now works perfectly as on my old XP machine.

• OfficeJet 6500 has windows 7 Pro, does not print black

  Black is not printing, the colors are OK.    Changed the black cartridge for a new a (genuine HP!), no change.   Checked inserted cartridge etc OK.

  Tried to open the screen of the wizard to do the alignment, cleans the heads but had the same problem mentioned on another post, the assistant is beyond.

  Tried the update of the software 710z, but does not connect via USB.     I know that the cable is OK and printer, Windows gave the found new software message.

  Went to the HPPIW. EXE installation method, it is OK, but returned to 710f version.   Not cleaned heads and alignment no impression always on black background.     Tried the diagnosis HPPSdr who told me there is a problem of driver incompatibility.    Deleted the entry of control panel of configuration/printers, uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled, same problem.

  In short, impossible to get 710z to connect via USB.   710f tells me that I have a driver incompatibility.  And does not print the problem original, black.

  In my view, that covers, all more than welcome advice, this machine is in a store of cats protection Chrity and we desperately need it works again!

  Thanks for the advice, given that the machine is under warranty, contact HP and were sent to a replacement machine which works AOK.

  My 6500 loses constantly communicate with the computer via bluetooth. I frequently off printer and back do print. I do this sometimes 3 - 4 times a day

  The reason why the connection is lost, it's that this blue tooth is not a connection supported for this printer option. Look at the link to the page of the specifications here.   I'm troubleshooting an issue on all new HP Envy Desktop from my father-in-law and its existing OfficeJet 6500 E709A.  It came with Windows pre-installed 8.0, and I ran Windows Update to apply all the necessary patches, which included the upgrade from PC to Windows 8.1.  His previous PC is a Dell Windows XP, but due to the end of LIFE of XP, he bought a new HP PC.  I had him download 64-bit Windows 8.1 for the printer on the HP site and it did not work properly.  I tried to uninstall using the uninstall on the HP support site and requiring a reboot.  We then tried to reinstall the software after the restart and he said that it was extracted files but did not say where they were extracted to.  The extract window goes away and then it's just sitting there and nothing else happened.  I also saw another method to install the printer through the computer to be scanned and then decide the best software and driver to use.  Who started working and then just sit there as well and did not finish.  I'm in and I normally don't have these types of issues, but for some reason any, that he's not well.  I also went to the Microsoft site to test hardware compatibility with Windows 8.0/8.1 and it said it was, but other people said that it is not based on their experiences.  I have tried everything I know and searched this forum and google for the answers and don't come up with anything.

  2. the software and drivers are 10 22, 2012, is there new files that you can give?

  3 is this fully certified by HP printer to run on Windows 8.0/8.1?

  First, enter the installation folder and delete all current software that could be partially installed.

  Open the Util folder, then select the CCC folder and run the Uninstall_L3.bat file.

  8. run the installation file and check all difference.
  9. Once you have finished, remember to open McAfee and re-enable real-time scanning.

• OfficeJet 6500 e-709 has Windows 8/xp problem

  We have a HP OfficeJet 6500 e-709 has everything in a printer connected via USB cable to a Windows XP computer. This printer works very well on site. It is shared on the network. When install us theprinter on a Windows 7 computer, the printer prints very well. We have also 2 Windows 8 machines connected to the same network, and installing the printer specified above, The Windows 8 machine sees the printer and installs the appropriate and also said available printer drivers. When you try to print we get no error the printer is not available, but nothing prints. I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer to make sure any (driver) is fine. Whenever the printer is installed, it shows ready but is not able to print anything.

  We have also a HP DeskJet 930 attached through an USB port on the windows XP machine and when it is installed in the environment of windows 8, we are able to print the test page and other programs as well.

  Any contributions to this issue would be greatly appreciated.

• OfficeJet 6500 Wireless: Lost after upgrade Windows 10 Scan function

  During the upgrade to Windows 7 to 10, I received a message that the printer drivers may not be installed correctly.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the full features of HP software for my wireless Officejet 6500 several times.  No apparent problem until I tried to scan a document.  I get the following error message "cannot scan because another program or computer uses the network of imaging device.  Try again later. "Error information 8, ((0, 18, - 2147467259)) thinking Windows FAX and Scan can be the other program, I disabled it. no change.  HP Print and Scan doctor gives me the same message, "the scan cannot because another program or computer using the networked imaging device.  Try again later. »

  All the features worked before the upgrade to Windows 7 to 10.  There is no other computer the device.  The printer will scan using Windows FAX and Scan, but the HP scanning features are much better in my case.

  Do not remove anything else then the folders I mentioned.
