problems installing coldfusion mx and CF configuration for home practice

coldfusion mx installation problems:

Hello
I have a few books of CF.

I need to start my tutorials

However,.

They said that the prereq is the mx Server
place of origin,

1. I downloaded mx 7 and chose edition mx developer.
My problem is that when it is that auto configure. (the second option without apache or iis)

It is reall taking much time to configure 2 h. I it did not finish so I stopped the process.
what I am doing wrong in the implementation process.

2. do I need for apache to run CF. ran Apache .org and I went on a mirror site. but I don't know that you down load.
any tips?

3. can I use my tutorials with apcahe or IIS?

2: the book also mentioned homesite / dreamweaver as a Publisher.
where and how can I put this in my own PC?

I really appreciate your help in advance

I'm really eager to know if I can develop for my work, I tell myself that if I get a head start at home, I won't have to rely on others.

Thanks if anyone can help me configure CF at home.

1. Install apache
2. install CF7

If your Explorer CF7 just forget Apache for now and use of CF7 built in server. Running through the tutorials provided with CF7, then try a few others since the support coldfusion pages.

You can do a fresh install if you feel that this is necessary.

You can try to go through this list as well...

    Search for malware:

Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

Remove anything they find.  Reboot when necessary.  (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

The less you have to run all the time, most things you want to run will perform:

Use Autoruns to understand this all starts when your computer's / when you log in.  Look for whatever it is you do not know using Google (or ask here.)  You can hopefully figure out if there are things from when your computer does (or connect) you don't not need and then configure them (through their own built-in mechanisms is the preferred method) so they do not - start using your resources without reason.

You can download and use Process Explorer to see exactly what is taking your time processor/CPU and memory.  This can help you to identify applications that you might want to consider alternatives for and get rid of all together.

You can free up disk space (will also help get rid of the things that you do not use) through the following steps:

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

    Hi HSchulz,

When you try to install with the CD, try installing the latest Windows 7 driver from the HP website. Restart the computer, turn off the printer, then reboot your router and then launch the installation. Here is a direct link to the driver file:

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL40120/bi-108858-4/OJ8600_1315-1.exe

original title: Reinstall windows 7 ultimate

According to the software Microsoft Windows 7 license, you must activate Windows 7 within 30 days of installation.  You are not allowed to circumvent or bypass the product activation.  After 30 days, you must enter a genuine Windows 7 product key for the edition you have installed, or remove Windows 7 by reformatting the hard drive, on which it is installed.

In addition, you must respect Export Basics.

  • Having problems installing of software and drivers for HP Deskjet 9800

I uninstalled my HP Deskjet 9800 because I have too many problems with it. I use Windows XP.  I went to hp.com and download the software and drivers for this printer. The software and drivers simply go to my folder of the downloaded files. How can I install this software for my printer work? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Patricia

The downloaded file is a .zip or .exe.  Go to your download folder (right click on start > explore, click the Folders icon and navigate to your folder) and then double-click the downloaded file.

If it is a .zip file, it will create a folder.  Inside this folder is going to be a setup.exe file - double click on it.

If it's a .exe file, double-clicking on it to launch the installer.

  • Problem installing ColdFusion 8

Hello, I just downloaded and tried to install the developer version of CF8. He says that the installation worked properly, but for a 'non lethal' mistake - not deadly, perhaps, but the cfm pages who worked yesterday in CF5 do work not now (HTTP 505 error).

I first learned about this error at the end of the installation, in a small window indicating "an unhandled exception ('System.Net.Sockets.SocketException') occurred in JNBDotNetSide.exe [2656]" and offer debugging using Microsoft .NET 2005 (I installed as well, because at first I thought that I would have a contract to help that - which I would have had to learn, because I am ignorant of it - this contract is a not unfold but I do not have a new contract to help) ColdFusion, in which I was a good programmer 5 years ago).

Then the closure also notified me of the error dialog box and was sent home to the Setup log, where it is said: "the Web Server Configuration Error: JNDI port 2930 for ColdFusion server is not active". Moreover, the journal has recommended I run wsconfig.exe. When I do this, the only options I see are Add... and exit. And when I click on Add..., I like:

Could not connect to JRun/ColdFusion servers on host localhost. Possible causes:

    o server does not
-Start Macromedia JRun4 or ColdFusion 8 Server

    o server running
-JNDI listen in jndi.properties port is blocked by the TCP/IP firewall on the server
-welcome the restriction by blocking communication with the server of security.properties

    What should I do?

    I want to highlight:

    (a) although I was once a great Application Programmer and should still be once I get back in practice, I never knew much about operating systems, etc. and the environment in which I write code. If it's just a matter of starting the Coldfusion 8 Server, could someone tell me how? For what it's worth, in the Windows Task Manager, processes, I don't see anything that I recognize as the CF8 server, although I do not see CF8DotNetsvc.exe.

    (b) I currently use localhost: 8080 to my local host. localhost:80 has stopped working after a friend helped me set up my computer to run a video phone application (D-link); which required taking the usual octal IP address, I recall (maybe 198.xxx.xxx.1?) Sorry, I don't remember exactly, but I thought this might be relevant).

    (c) when I installed CF8, I selected IIS that is installed and running on my PC.

    Thanks for your help!

I found that it was easier to disable firewall completely during installation. Once it has been installed and working properly I have re-enabled the firewall. Then understood what I need to tweak/configure to allow access settings. For me it was easier to do it the other way around.

  • problem installing with C4480 and Time Capsule

I'm putting in place a new Photosmart C4480 to use with my computer laptop MacBook and my Office PowerPC G4 tower. When I connect the printer directly to the G4 using the USB cable, it works fine. But when I connect to the USB port of my time Capusule the C4480 (which is connected to the G4 by ethernet cable) G4 can't find the printer. However, I can print wireless from the MacBook. This configuration has worked with my previous Epson printer. Is there anything else I need to do? Thanks for any help/suggestions.

I just answered my own question - I didn't notice the "Hello Printers" in the "printer" drop-down menu. Selecting the C4480 in this option solves the problem. Thanks anyway.

  • Problem installing KB980408 - set up the parameters for custom: Windows Desktop Update

After installing KB980408, the computer restarts, goes through the normal boot process, displays the Windows logo, and then goes to a black screen with a window:

    Custom settings

Implementation of the custom settings for:

    The Windows Desktop Update

and stay on it indefinitely (4 + hours so far). Moving the mouse on the screen shows the circular cursor "wait", and I am able to move the window around; I am also able to start the Task Manager and restart, but that's all.

So I thought another reboot may solve the problem, but it doesn't... it keeps just hung to this window.

No matter who else affected by it, or have solutions to try?

I had this same problem on both machines. During his connection, this behavior began immediately after the KB980408 update has been installed. The solution I found is to ctrl + alt + delete, start taskmgr and kill the task of custom settings. Then you have to manually run explorer.exe (file--> Run--> Explorer.exe) and windows should load as usual. The next time that I rebooted and logged in Windows loaded as usual. I'm guessing that this problem is a "run once" task. However, updates are not supposed to make your computer more stable?

Try to download manually updates, search for a download (with the number of KB)

Save to a location on the hard drive, you can find and then install manually.

If there is still a problem, turn off UAC or disconnect from the internet, reset as appropriate.

  • Install the software and registry keys for the windows installer I screwed up after a system restore, what can I do?

After you install an update, which forced me to restart my laptop, I had to do a restore point, because it stops while windows is loading files of the update, which led me to a restoration of the system, which has messed up a large number of windows registry keys install leaving me unable to open the following software:

    • Skype
    • Avira (but not the antivirus) Launcher
    • Java

I can not install or uninstall these programs, either because I need to an .msi file that does not match the latest version of these programs, the program does not appear in the uninstall Manager or just installer does not at all, so what can I do to correct these programs and be able to install their return

The just Java installer does not appear when I double click on the .exe, no matter if it is the x 64 or 32 bits, and I can't uninstall it because it does not appear in the uninstall Manager.

Avira Launcher Installer, ask me for a .msi to remove the last version, but I can't, if the installation fails, also the program does not appear in the uninstall Manager.

The Skype installer just cannot be updated, and I uninstalled it with a 3rd party uninstaller, but now it's just throw a critical failure when starting to install

My main question is, how can I solve these installers, should I format this laptop and do a clean install of windows?

    Hello

    Please contact Microsoft Community.

After the description of the problem, I understand that you are not able to install programs after system restore.

In this case first I'd say allowing you to run the cities in trouble it automatically repair the issues that block the installation program or delete because of corrupted registry keys.

    https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/mats/program_install_and_uninstall?WA=wsignin1.0

After that it fixes if you have any third party anti virus try to disable it from your computer and then try to install these programs.

  • A general question on installing Windows 7 and RAID configuration

I have an OEM Windows XP machine. His HD system consists of two physical disks connected during a RAID 0 configuration. The RAID has been initially configured in the BIOS (and maybe an extra chip), and then there are the drivers included in the installer of the OS.

My question is: if I install Windows 7 from scratch on this machine (i.e. not updated from XP) the installation process would allow me to configure the RAID? Has its own generic drivers for RAID configurations?

You will appreciate a response from a really knowledgeable person.

    See the following topics:

Boot from the Windows 7 DVD

    Click Install now

    Accept the license agreement

When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

    Click on drive Options

    Click on load a driver

Point to a USB key where you have stored drivers
