Problems of color/to PDF gray scale

Hello

I use InDesign 4.0.5.

I had what seems to be a grey document and exported in PDF format. However our printers are telling me that a block of gray on the document has elements of blue in there, and so they would have to use additional plates to print.

When I look at the gray block he says his pure black (from the color chart) with a 20% tint. I guess that this cannot possibly contain all blue but apparently it does. What Miss me?

Thank you

Corin

Your export settings performs a color conversion. When you export the PDF file make sure that the destination color profile is set to Document CMYK and do not include profiles. The parameter predefined PDF / X 1-a that would do for you.

You are mixing color profiles a-place, or document workspace does not match the destination to export space is incompatible.

  • Is it possible to convert specific pages in gray scale in a PDF?

We got a job for our client on PDF printing. Probably created in Word. It is about 3/4 color and the rest black and white. Problem is that Word creates "intense Black", which triggers a color printing on our color copier. If it was made in InDesign and done properly, it would be just K and the copier which recognize and give us a black click only. Obviously, color costs that many clicks more black clique if I want to specify say pages 50-53, 58-59, 66-78 etc and convert only these pages in real gray-scale so that the machine can recognize as grayscale and give us a black click. Is this possible?

I have created Preflight > Fixup for this scenerio a couple of times.

I found that if the area of the document (or type?) was the RGB, that as shown will not work. I have a version for rgb, but just converted the document to CMYK when I finally ran it.

Any correction seems to apply to the entire document. (@Adobe - why?) Let me define a range of pages in the page range area)

Transfer pages from one to the other after that use would be necessary, but less expensive than Pitstop for occasional use.

I expect that the Copier, driven by a TEAR, allow page ranges to be defined as cmyk or grayscale.

With our Fiery I use mixed to set levels of gray in a joint task. (Joint is not available if however imposing in the INVESTIGATION period)

  • DOC ID color prints MOST of the items in gray scale.

Help, please.  I'm at the end of my rope.  Deadline looming.

I have an identity document which is of all colours.  When I go to print it, no matter if it is set to the color ID management or printer color management, most of the elements of the page out in gray scale.  It is a perfect representation of the document, only in grays.  Curiously, there are elements that print in color.  Even more strange, an object from a file will be printed in the perfect color, but HAVE another object of the same file in the same doc ID will be printed grey.

Everything is CMYK.  I even use Bridge for control of colors between the programs.  I can't understand this.

    Any advice?

    PS... you don't know it's important, but I print on a HP cp2025dn.  Windows 7.  CS5.

    Try a different printer.

  • How to transfer a table OR scop 2D in a gray-scale image and save it

    Hi all

I have acquired a 2D array and that you want to transfer into an image in grey scale (12 bits) and save it to my hard drive but I don't know how to do it.

I can use the graph of the intensity to show the 2Darray in gray-scale image, but intensity graph.vi cannot save the image in real time.

    Thank you.

The 24 bits is a color image with 8 bits per channel of color per pixel (interlaced, if I remember correctly).  It is not a 24-bit gray level, so I don't think it will work for you.  I think that the library IMAQ (an add-on LabVIEW) will manage to 16-bit gray scale, if you can get a copy.

Native LabVIEW to work around the problem, you could also split your image into two images of 8 bits, with one image that represents the high bytes, the other down.  You could then combine them when you do the analysis, if your analysis program is capable of that.

  • Problem of color of ps elements 7?

I recently got a new computer for Christmas, and so I reinstalled my ps on it items. I tried to draw this picture and he was perfectly fine, it was before that I went to the internet and switched back to draw. Once I went back, he'd let me not use all colors in addition to black and white shades. I don't know what happened. It will not let me choose other colors, if I try to click on any color, such as blue and click 'ok', it will be just another shade of gray. And what of weird, when I close the photo, my color back, but when I open a new document, it goes gray scale. Is there a way to fix this? Also, I noticed when I open a document, it says in the title next to the title and the "(grey/8) layer area" "

I'm not very good in computer skills, especially considering im young and pretty...

    can someone please? ! ?

You have somehow created/converted into a grayscale image (what means "gray"). Go to image > mode > RGB and you should be able to work in color once again.

  • J4580 print cartridge problem: [Tri-Color] refer to the device Documentation

Well, I'm starting to feel like I knew better, buy another HP printer after dismal luck with two all-in-one before.

My J4580 already gives me headaches after only 6 or more months of use.

The unit refuses to print, declaring "print cartridge problem: [Tri-Color] refer to device Documentation to troubleshoot."  Nothing in the help documentation.  The Habs is always 90% full.  Sometimes pulling the Habs and placing back in crazy wil it restarting.  When it restarts, it prints perfectly.

I tried the ubiquitous "clean the contacts" and other instructions help generic that I saw, but those who were without help.  The "Solution Center (Yes, good)" appears and all ithas is a link to buy more ink (!).

Someone has an idea?  I'm about to throw it through the window of stores office, given that I can't throw it out the window of HP.

    Thank you!

Yes * I know * and I'm sorry that I forgot to come back here.  I had a major system crash and I had to reinstall a lot of drivers for my multimedia player, GPS, and printer (!).  As this occurs, the device did not return this error - touch wood.

  • Difference between the intensity and the gray scale value

Hi I am a new learner of vision of NOR, please bare with me.

    1. I'm quite confused by the terms of light intensity and pixel gray scale value. Can someone explain the difference to me? Or are they the same thing?

    2. I'm currently treat an image in grayscale (I16) file. The number of bits of the image is 12 Bits. But I saw that someone used IMAQ polygon with the number of Classes as 8192 (13 Bit), don't know why.

    Thank you, Jane

    Hello Jane,.

1 OK, grey scale and intensity are the same thing.

    2. the number of class you choose is an appeal from the judgment.  By increasing or decreasing the number of more or less granular classes, the histogram becomes.  Without a context, I can't speculate on why someone use 8192 classes.

Problems with word and PDF after crash

My computer crashed and I had to run the recovery disk, the repair option, so he could run again. It does not format my computer but I had to re - install several programs. I reinstalled my copy of office for example.  I have an external hard drive where I put most of my files but since installing the recovery disc, it does not open some Word documents and gives a message error "user has not access privilege." It's the same thing with some pdf files. What can I do?  Please help because I can't open some of my documents from the University.

    Hello world
I would like to just say thank you for your help and the problem is now solved.  In the end I paid someone to sort it out.  He explained that it was something like permissions for some of my files were owned by my old operating system and after that my computer crashed and I had to put through the recovery disc these permissions have been lost.  He told me that he had a program that looked for the old existing and re-installed.
    Thank you.

  • Problem with colors in Lightroom (color shadows/blacks/artifacts)

Hi, I imported just some pictures with dark places on them (shadows, night etc.)

and in the library colors are ok, but once I'm in develop module, change the scenes dark colors and there are even darker splashes (?)

Its ok when I click on ever but its annoying, but if I uncheck the box, dark colors are back.

    So:

    Library - ok

    Soft proofing - ok

    When I export - ok

develop - bad spots on the part dark photos

    Photo:

Objects on dress in develop module:

And that's what it looks like in library, soft proofing and export

    Another example:

It happens with every photo, regardless of if its from my camera olympus or iPhone.

IM using macbook air 13, all set to date.

    Thank you!

Is that what you see? I used an adjustment layer to make it visible.

These artifacts are actually in the file. I noticed metadata in the file that you are using Lightroom 5.6. You need to update it to Lightroom 5.7.1 there was a problem of color management with Lightroom 5.6 under Mac OS X Adobe fixed with 5.7. Which I documented here: Jao photo blog: bug of serious color in Mac OS 10.9 'Francs-shooters' management
