Problems of colors with Lightroom

I have so far used Photoshop Elements with great success to catalog and change my jpg photos collection.   I recently bought a camera capable of taking RAW photos and was advised to get Lightroom to manage this.   I imported my collection of jpg into the Lightroom Catalog and was horrifed to how they see that preview (grid and Loupe).   They (very underexposed) much darker look, and the color balance has changed radically.   I need to adjust significantly to get them looking for same in PSE10.   It seems that I can't use LR to manage my existing collection.  Y at - it something I am doing wrong?

Make sure that you do not apply an import preset or auto-ton of the adjustments. You can consult it by clicking on:

Edit > preferences > Presets tab (Lightroom > preferences > tab Presets on Mac OSX)

You can also try clicking on that button Reset all development default settings to see if that makes a difference.

Basically, LR is a managed application of color and when you upload a jpeg file, all cursors in the develop module should be set to zero.

Make sure you sort the display you are looking at instead of file name recording time. It is in the context menu with a small sign of a to z just below images. Make sure also that you have no active filters.

  • Problem of layout with Lightroom CC 2015 print output

    Hello

I work with the following configuration:

    • MacBook Pro (15-inch, mid 2010)
    • OS X Version of Yosemite 10.10.3
    • Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC 2015-Release
    • EPSON Stylus Pro 3880

I tried to print two images on one sheet of paper A3 Super with an EPSON Stylus Pro 3880 directly from Lightroom and here is an example of what I expected (I resized and added a black border for visibility on the forum):

    print-expected.jpg

This is the preview I have in the Lightroom print module, and it is also what I have when I print in a JPEG with Lightroom.

Unfortunately, after that I started the print job, this is what came out of the printer:

    print-result.jpg

As we can see, the layout of the two images was shifted to the top of the sheet of paper (the top of the first image in the process of culture) and about 30% of the right part of the page layout has not been printed.

You have no idea what I'm doing wrong here?

For your information, I print very often so I'm not sure that I have everything properly 100%. However, I have been printing successfully in the past and it is with the same MacBook Pro on the same EPSON Stylus Pro 3880 printer but it was with OS X Version 10.10.1 Yosemite and Lightroom 5.x (I don't remember exactly which version).

In addition, because my impression was urgent, I retried with a Windows machine running Lightroom 4.x with the same printer and it has been a success. So I doubt that my initial settings on my MacBook Pro were wrong, even if I'm not 100% sure.

    Here are a few updates:

I contacted Epson and it seems to me that they care more about Sir Cedric from Adobe. Epson said that they were investigating the problem from their side and they advice me to install the "Apple Common Updater" (Epson Stylus Pro 3880: Apple Common Updater 1.0).

Then, I started Uninstalling everything with the Center "Uninstall" (Support and downloads - Epson Stylus Pro 3880 - Epson), then I installed the "Apple Common Updater", then I plugged the Epson Stylus Pro 3880 printer but it seems that the driver was not installed by the 'Apple Common Updater. So I unplugged the installed printer driver (driver v9.33 23-oct-2014 ftp://download.epson-europe.com/pub/download/3794/epson379436eu.dmg) and then plug the printer back.

Surprisingly, my impressions on sheets of A4 paper succeeded.

  • Problems of serious color with Lightroom

    Hello

I bought lightroom this week and I'm having a serious problem, import of images. I use a new Macbook Pro with OS Snow leopard. My camera is a Canon 1ds Mark2.

When I import files half of them have this awful orange casting deep above them.

If you look at the thumbnails some of the frameworks are normal and the next turn to orange, suddenly within seconds of each other in the same place, without change of WB on the camera or anything. What is, a bug in Lightroom? I do not experience this problem with photomechanical or Photoshop.

I haven't seen a Mac with a monitor profile so badly. When you get these color changes it's basically still a windows machine. Profiles of monitor on Macs but which get installed by default are not perfect, is generally quite corrupt like you see on windows machines. However if you've tried recalibrating and another device files do not show the problem, that is something else. Try resetting all the development parameters by default. This is done in the menu bar in Lightroom-> preferences-> tab presets on 'Reset default all parameters of development'. Also uncheck all the boxes in the same article (if none are checked). Then go to a picture that shows the number and press 'reset' in the develop module.

  • Problem of color with Photosmart 8450

I have a Photosmart 8450 for many years and he always printed perfectly.

Recently, I noticed that the colors were totally false when printing pictures on glossy paper - the overall color is mainly yellow and blue ink seems to be completely absent.

This occurs when the photo tray is used for paper 4 x 6 and also with the A4 glossy paper in the main tray.

The same photos printed on ordinary paper are perfect, as is the printing Standard test - all colors are present.

Only so the common factor is the use of glossy paper. I thought that maybe the quality of the paper, but it happens even with HP Premium Photo paper to.

The printer is installed on WIndows 7, which gives the driver, so I can not yet updated. Windows displays no problem driver and WIndows update has no effect.

    Any suggestion is welcome.

Thanks for the link to the troubleshooting page.

Although I had already done a test print, it was only on paper, and he seemed to agree.

So I tried again on paper Photo HP was expecting the worst. Surprisingly, it was the same - nothing was wrong with areas for color and black cartridges (marked as 1 and 2 in figure 1 of the troubleshooting page), but lacked the areas to the left cartridge (marked as the 3 in figure 1 of the troubleshooting page).

    So I rechecked the cartridges:

    Left: 348 color Photoprint

    Center: 344 tricolor

    Right: 339 black

Then I realized what was wrong - the left cartridge was empty.

I'll get a new one and all hope is correct. Thanks again.

  • I have a problem of color with CS3?

When I move a picture of the bridge, where it seems the color is relatively accurate in Photoshop, the color is off. It seems to me that the colors do not create natural colors but remain mostly in red and cyan. Have I not something 'turned on' or is there a problem with the application. How should I do?

Right-click in an empty area of your desktop and select Properties (or click Start > Control Panel > display, depending on your settings, you may need to select appearance and themes first). Select the settings tab, and then click the Advanced button. Go to the color tab management, at the bottom will be a small window with the profiles associated with your monitor. If you are using LCD monitor and did not use a calibration device and measure your monitor, this window should be empty. If you used a calibration device, try to recalibrate your monitor.

  • Problems of color with 10 elements

    Capture.JPG

Help! What happens here then? It is a screenshot of my laptop, on the left is an image that I have worked on it to 10 items, and on the right is the same picture as my wallpaper. As you can see the colors are completely washed out on the right (or more saturated on the left). Googling around I've met, it's something to do with color management, but beyond, that I'm getting lost. What is the right and how to do them same?

Yes. Normally, you do the round trip from Lightroom.

    (1) Ctrl + E in the library

    2) change in elements; then Ctrl + S to replace Lightroom export copy

    (3) Ctrl + W to close in elements and miniature Lightroom update.

Updated Lightroom 3.0.  When I try to print, the print settings, color management, adjustment of paperand Print Option C are all lined out.

    I get the following message:

"The package 'PrinterSetting' could not be loaded because it does not contain a version for the current architecture".

"Contact the creator of the package listed here for the most recent version.

    "PrintSetting 3.09, SEIKO EPSON CORPORATION 2001-Copyright (C) 2001.". All rights reserved. 3.09."

Release with Epson and got this response:

"Lightroom seems to not properly read the driver's preferences. You may need to contact Adobe for some help on this. The only thing that you can try on our end is to remove the printer in the printer menu print and fax, and then delete the files in the Preferences folder and try to print again. »

    I did it.  No change.

I use a MacBook PRO with OSX 10.5.8.

The printer still works fine with the 2200 using Photoshop CS4.

  • So sick of problems of synchronization with Lightroom

Is it just me, or is it with every single update to Lightroom which synchronization between office and mobile work... and refuses to sync anything.

This is becoming a real nuisance... so tonight I think give up on Lightroom altogether... Why is it so hard to get it to work correctly and that they way you want what it?

Come on Adobe... enough is enough... either give the user more control on what to sync... and more important still how and when... or remove the feature... like at this moment in time... its completely useless for me to use!

    Please follow the steps below.

    > Click on the link below to check if your computer has synchronized the images or not.

    Adobe Photoshop Lightroom

    > Sign in using your email address and password

    > Click on the pictures in the upper left side and check if you have synchronized from the desktop images.

    > Launch Lightroom

    > Click Help > log out

    > Quit and relaunch Lightroom

    > Please reconnect to lightroom.

  • Problem with colors in Lightroom (color shadows/blacks/artifacts)

Hi, I imported just some pictures with dark places on them (shadows, night etc.)

and in the library colors are ok, but once I'm in develop module, change the scenes dark colors and there are even darker splashes (?)

Its ok when I click on ever but its annoying, but if I uncheck the box, dark colors are back.

    So:

    Library - ok

    Soft proofing - ok

    When I export - ok

develop - bad spots on the part dark photos

    Photo:

Objects on dress in develop module:

And that's what it looks like in library, soft proofing and export

    Another example:

http://imgur.com/a/EOtbM The first picture is developing, rest is library and never. You can see black spots on his black shirt plate and TV

It happens with every photo, regardless of if its from my camera olympus or iPhone.

IM using macbook air 13, all set to date.

    Thank you!

Is that what you see? I used an adjustment layer to make it visible.

These artifacts are actually in the file. I noticed metadata in the file that you are using Lightroom 5.6. You need to update it to Lightroom 5.7.1 there was a problem of color management with Lightroom 5.6 under Mac OS X Adobe fixed with 5.7. Which I documented here: Jao photo blog: bug of serious color in Mac OS 10.9 'Francs-shooters' management

  • Problem with Lightroom 6.0

    Hi all

I have a Nikon d5100 and I have always worked with Lr 5 on Windows 7 and there is no problem. Yesterday, I downloaded Windows 10 and Lr 6. I changed nothing on my camera that isn't in JPEG and RAW format. When I import my photos on my desktop there is no problem; the colors are intact, everything is ok. But when I import pictures on Lightroom and I want to develop them, then they appear dark and I can't address them properly. However, before importing into Lightroom, each preset is off so Lr should leave intact photos on the camera or on the desktop. I searched on the internet and they said that maybe the camera's RAW format but no. I really need help because it's never happened before and I changed nothing on the parameter Lr or camera. Windows 10 is perhaps the source of the problem?

    Thanks for the help!

The problem is solved! THX, it was only Windows 10 which does not correspond with Lr.

    Kind regards

    Chloe

  • Problem big histogram on Lightroom 5 - spots of color on each photo

    Hello

Open my macbook today, with Lightroom 5 already running, all photos appeared with tasks big pixel of color everywhere, and the histogram accordingly messed (hatched part). Apparently I can't do nothing.

LR5 updated with the latest version of this week, and I guess that the problem comes from there.

If someone had the same problem and has a solution? If I'm not afraid, all my photos on LR are lost, and I'm not the only one...

    Thank you.

Well, you have answered most of my questions as I asked them.

It still seems that some display sort of problem. Definitely try to restart. Corrupted images usually do not look like what you have posted. You have another computer to try? Install Lightroom and a couple of files to import.

PROBLEM of ALIGNMENT with color printing.  HP Officejet Pro L7680 all-in-One - using Mac OS x 10.6.8 - with USB connection & ethernet - without error message thank you.

What kind of problem?  Print quality problems?  You have run the alignment of the HP utility?

  • Problem with Lightroom suspended

I'm having a problem with Lightroom 2015.6 constantly hanging or crashing when I go from the library module in the develop module. I have a Windows 10 machine with AMD Radeon HD 7450 graphics card and have had NO problems in the past. Nothing has changed.

Lightroom won't let me turn off the graphics card in the Preferences tab, so I disabled it in the Device Manager and it seems to work now. Does this mean I have to buy a new graphics card just to run Lightroom?

Please follow these instructions to manually disable acceleration GPU for LR: Adobe Lightroom GPU troubleshooting and FAQ

If done, re-enable the GPU in the Device Manager.

If you do not use a 4 k monitor, there is no gain to you have acceleration GPU-leaving just disabled.
