problems of shrinkage win7 disc

I'm shrinking a drive of windows 7 so I can create a new partition.
90 GB I use about 60 GB - it's a laptop - but when I go through the steps and the program makes its control on the C: drive it limits me to about 500 MB

Why?

I defragmented the drive but no difference

It is really strange

any help would be appreciated with gratitude

George

20 GB is not enough for Windows 7, if that's your main operating system (or Windows 8 I think...) and if it's your main computer you should NOT put the Developer Preview of Windows 8 on it unless you're ready to recreate the image on the machine may be quite frequently...

  • Problems installing Bootcamp & Win7

I've been dealing with compatibility issues with my recently purchased Windows 7 Home Premium and Bootcamp.

I know that more will be a bit heavy to read, but please bare with me, I'm really starting to lose hair in this

Bootcamp does not recognize the file .iso 64-bit image, although it is.

I downloaded a different 64-bit .iso from softpediaand managed to burn on a USB drive after that I added my mac into Bootcamp info.plist file model.
I did it according to the instructions on falkas and slamno7 of this thread: . http://forums.macrumors.com/threads/bootcamp-win-7-iso-with-both-64bit-and-32bit 1561855 /

After having burned the .iso, I try to continue to install Win7 I'm prompted with this instead: http://i.imgur.com/BPxchFq.png

Sorry for my OSX in Finnish, but she said something along the lines of:

    "Not found install disc. .

Insert the disc to install Windows to tray and wait until it is recognized. »

For this reason, I can't actually make the partition. I tried to make the partition manually with the utility tool disk, but after Bootcamp says that I must cancel the score, after which I should do once again using BC, but of course, I can't because this same error again.

I also tried to boot in USB Wininstall disk after doing the manual partition, but it stops after the first line to say a word on a missing bootmgr (if it is relevant, I can check again down the error Word for Word)

I'm under iMac 27 "end 2013 with the Mavericks, and I bought the lizengo.fi Win7 (site also. co.uk and .de mirrors)

    Halp Plox

I got a keycode for Windows 7 my friend, with whom I have downloaded an .iso full Microsoft home page (my own code didn't work for some reason any). And with the new image .iso file, everything went as it should.

Well, I had to play with the Bootcamp drivers and start all over again on the first time because Windows could not start after installation, but the second time around everything went like it's supposed to. Solved the problem of starting with this: [urgent] get 'appleSSD.sys' error when installing windows 7 via bootcamp

  • Recent problems of following Win7 failed to install software from Comcast

Don't know where to start.  I can only suspect that all the problems are related to a single event and the more likely event, due to timing, has been a download, but Comcast Office software installation failed (automated in Comcast cable internet installation).  I suspect also that because only one sent to 'freeze' the problems here mentions conflict with the AV software and AV drivers may have been part of the package of Comcast.  Don't know.

    PROBLEMS:

I can't uninstall the software.  Windows Installer "hangs" on "Preparing to install" and nothing happens.  I have to force close with the Task Manager.  Usually, that corrupts the images of my office, removes all the desktop icons and the Start button, forcing me to reboot.  (Near as I can tell, install the Manager affects Explorer.exe some how.)

I can't install the software. The same problem. The program hangs indefinitely on "Preparing to unistall."

After attempt to cancel install or uninstall events (default) after forcing the closure with the Task Manager, and after the Office covers without icons, the button start and the bar application (as if Explorer had closed, but froze on the chart in office), by withdrawing to the Task Manager to correct this, I chose the option "disconnect".  This allows me to disconnect and then reopen it in one.  However, once connected, I hit a black screen and the Task Manager shows a lot of applications is open twice in the list of open applications - and resident drivers.  It seems that the original 'disconnect' did not stop those apps, but the 'log back"repeated their.  It ends with a black screen every time and requires the computer to be turned off (where it crashes and then on the "shutting down" screen.)  See below.

Restart or stop mode, closing blocks indefinitely. Occasionally, there is some disk activity hard, but in most cases, once it freezes, the hard disk is idle - but the computer does not move out of the blue 'Stop' window

Microsoft Fix It will start, but will block indefinitely on "problems."  Review of activity in the the Task Manager, the program once hung in the "detection" uses no processor and record any activity. Rarely, the hard drive light flashes and doesn't show any use of research. Cancel will close the program without the need to force close with the Task Manager.

04:00 - Windows Media Center to "optimize" attempts and crashes in the process.  The next morning, when found, WMC is frozen, will not respond to the mouse or remote control and must be forced closed in the Task Manager.  Once done, Win7 and WMC act normally unless specific other problems above.

I also note that Microsoft Updates have been found and downloaded but haven't installed auto.  At least three recent updates are sitting waiting for my permission to install.  A Java Update yet, so.  Normally all these install automatically without my permission.  After an indefinite period, the close button appears that updates are waiting for a re-boot. I have allowed to happen once--sitting with a window "Please do not unplug or force close - update install" 9 hours - at work.  The machine was frozen.  No evidence of the update took place and all listed pending updates are pending.

I run Microsoft Security Essentials and PC Tools Firewall more and feel confident that no virus does not cause this problem. If I were an academic assumption, the machine seems to block a lot of temporary programs who want to read or write to the hard disk.  But not all, as I stream video, record TV broadcast in WMC, use Firefox and Thunderbird - all without any problem.

As I definitely want to remove the Comcast installs and a remote program of ESPN WMC get Windows Installer working properly is quite critical.  Wanting to use the program Fix It to review and fix registry problems is also strongly desired.  Here, your recommendations will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Phew!  What a ride.  But it seems that it's over.  Here are the details.

Recovery always disc manufacturer's software on the open - so I couldn't do the disks.  All diagnostic HPs also hung on open software.  The HP site so their software were so any relief.

I ran chkdsk /f and chkdsk/r with no problems found.  I ran the diagnostic memory of Win7 with no problems found.

Because my last change encouraging (get the MSE to install a virus definition update) happened when I was able to stop WU Setup with "net stop wuauserv" I decided to try again.  It appeared to fail the first two attempts (each after a reboot), but by the fourth attempt and restarting, I managed to close.  The immediate change was amazing.

However, another caveat.  At the time of the software of Comcast has failed, install the 10/26 and as the failure of the system, Flash and MSE updates began editing, I had also signed a 80 GB USB flash drive to the system. Read about similar problems with Windows 2000, I tried unplugging my LAN to see if it was the cause of the conflict.  (The LAN connection was started 10/26 - connecting the device to the router to Comcast).  There was no change.  I rebooted, I decided to unplug the 80 gig USB drive in case it was cause of conflict.

OMG.  Either due to the success stops Installer WU of the unplug of USB or both-, I got a clean shutdown - no blocking.  Windows open in record time and as I began checking the integrity previously does not apps, MSE prompted me to fast and ripped analysis through completion in time record (I ran a full scan later without any result of virus.)

I have considered a 'net start' but decided against it, as the machine was finally functioning normally.  The failure of the single application has been and continues to be: PC Tools Firewall.  Apps, I wanted to uninstall and other pending installation, all worked perfectly. Looking to restart, the listed stop one button update pending (not sure if it was a system) and that too worked without problem. A single update took 20-30 seconds and then stop without hanging up - as she had for more than a week.

On the other 4 hours last night, the machine appeared to be back to work properly in all areas except PC Tools Firewall.  What had caused this wonderful series of problems disappeared - either because of the "net stop" or the removal of the 80 gig USB drive - or both.

I have not restarted install WU by using "net start" and I have no immediate plans to do so. (As far as I know, it restarts after a few restart.)  I will check the State of system update soon and restart, if necessary.  But in getting my machine in perfect health, I will be slow to install WU get reactivated by me.

Regarding the USB, I'll have to check on another machine.  I had used for port of some files on my machine (for portability) and do not need what he fixed permanently to this PC.  It worked without error during file transfer and I am unaware that she had no failures that could affect the PC.  Never the less, as disconnect seems to coincide with getting the health of my back of the machine, I won't be in haste to reconnect it.

Thanks for your help.  Like I said, it was quite a ride.   But I think I'm out of the cold, dark woods and running with a sound machine once more.

  • Problems playing self created discs DVD-R on Satellite M30

I currently have problems reading DVD-R, I created on my laptop M-30. Would appriciate any solutions, ideas, Suggestion anyone could have.

    The problem
My DVD - Rw drive refuses to recognize any DVD-R that I wrote using the same drive and software slipped & included. He simply refuses to recognize and when asked just indicates that the disk must be damaged or corrupted. All the tested discs (all 8 of them) worked properly on three other machines, which rules out a problem with the discs.
Also it does not read discs written, he recognizes DVD-R Virgin and allows me to write for them. indeed written afetr and refuse 2 discs, one with Drag & drop, the other with WinDVD Creater 2, the system refused to recognize. However, they worked correctly on other machines.

The drive was working properly before, and no major modifications were made to the system. He continues also to recognize and read in DVD-ROM drives trade.

Would appriciate all ideas, suggestions, solutions to this.

    Hi bbusybookworm,

that is not easy to give advice, but lets try...

What Service Pack is installed? SP1 or SP2.

As far as I know, if you installed SP2, you make updates to preinstalled programs.

How many burning programs installed, Drag & Drop, WinDVD Creator. What else?

It could be possible that some programs hamber each other.

I had this problem with Roxio products and "Alcohol", for example.

    Good bye

  • Some problems of Vista Win7 upgrade

    Hello!
My OS Equium A100-338 has been upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7.
Since what the Toshiba Movie Factory and the Ulead MovieWriter disappeard and now she also does not recognize SD cards. I checked toshiba Web site and I couldn't find the answer...
I have just the recovery for windows vista CD and I don't know what to do to recover the software (?), and how to solve the problem of SD card.
I'm just a user and do not understand the ins and outs of computers...
Is anyone out there that can help?

    Thank you so much!

    Silvia

I agree with Akuma. There must be a compatibility issue and if these apps n t work it is the price you pay for Win7 upgrade. These additional requests from Toshiba are not downloadable, so what you can do is to use Windows Movie maker or other applications.

What you can do, is to buy more recent Ulead Movie Maker/Writer designed for Win7.

I checked the Toshiba download page, and there is no driver for the SD card reader. This means that you can try to use the Vista driver or Win7 update is the only driver.
    Check please the two options.

  • Problem with drivers (win7 on a 15-j169eo)

So, I finally got my new 15-j169eo and an Intel SSD that I installed after watching the guide. Booted up and installed a fresh install of WIn7, but here my problems start.

Downloaded all the drivers of HP and get an error message after each of them except network Realtek driver. After being able to connect to internet I could quickly gather most of the necessary updates, but I always miss the sound HD, USB 3.0 and the card reader driver.

The chipset is Intel HM87 Express and their driver did not help me any where. These drivers only for WIn8 (wich I hate in its current state) or I would be able to install?

I tried the Assistant de Support HP r but either that or WInUpdate is able to get to install them.

    What should I try next?

    Hello:

You should try all the drivers and the software of the 15 t-j100 except graphics driver nvidia.

DO NOT USE ANY BIOS OR THE FIRMWARE OF THIS MODEL FILES

When you install the graphics, you need to install the first reboot of Intel HD graphics driver and then install the graphics driver nVidia.

  • Problems during startup and disc.sys blue screen

I got hard to start that a 32-bit Vista computer does not move in front of the black screen, sometimes there is a blinking underscore, or the mobile mouse pointer. Usually I restart with ctrl-alt-del and it works, it takes sometimes a few tries.

It also seems to start normally when I go out in the inside installation disc, when he's not here it hangs in checking dmi pool Data given, when he asked me to "press any key" If there is a disc inside.

This happens only when the CD player is first in the boot order, so I change to hard first push which does not start again.

    If someone has encountered this?

If I get to the connection, everything works very well afterwards.

I was going to repair the installation disc, but it's moving before the Microsoft corporation at startup loading bar.

Then, I got a blue screen PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA with Codes and * disk.sys with address

I tried CHKDSK and last good known Configuration, but nothing helped.

In addition, it was after I reinstalled from the cd of installation about five days ago everything worked as well the first two days... the only problems I had were with the installation of updates, after I finally installed successfully, it's when, startup problems began.

    Any experience or advice appreciated!

    You have two questions.

1 - associated WRkrn.sys Webroot for Webroot SecureAnywhere I would remove it

    2-drive hardware problem.

I remove Webroot and go the HD manufacturer download their utility check HD and run it.

  • OEM WIn7 disc or similar

HE bought about 9 months of work and there are very very slow, so I decided to reinstall Win7 and I want to do a CLEAN INSTALLATION, however, he has not discs, not even bluish sticker with serial number OEM, just back to the partition.

How is question, possible to set request OEM or OEM WIn7 version with serial number, or something similar? I will, anyway to reinstall Win7 Microsoft version, but need same OEM serial for this. I have nothing against Dell support programs, but his laptop computer is slower than my XPS GEN3, which is 8.5 years.
