  I have laptop Satellite P300D - 12 c and recently, I put a new hard drive, the Seagate momentus 7200 RPM 2.5 "500 GB. It works well, but I have a strange problem; normally when I reboot the laptop when it will close something sounds, in the figurative sense I could say "something moves" for a bit in the DVD - ROM drive and shuts down and then restarts.

  I agree with Akuma. Maybe the drive is loose and so you should try re-allocation of places there.

  I noticed a huge performance drag after updating the firmware and drivers of my XPS 15 9550. The update took place August 4, 2016.

  Performance of my usual applications (Chrome, development tools and IDE, etc.) is dramatically lower. In general, I would say that things take about 3 times as long to arrive. I checked the CPU (normal), but also memory consumption (as normal) to discover that the problem is with the SSD drive.

  On this laptop: 500 GB NVMe thnsn5512gpu7 NV (toshiba). Attached are the results of a benchmark with AS SSD. All write speeds are appalling, to say the least... that explains a lot, but I have no idea how to solve this problem, and whether or not it really relates to the latest firmware + update drivers provided by Dell.

  (Note: I checked the BIOS, it seems that the SSD is currently configured in RAID mode.) Never touched this option before.)

  Any idea? Other affected users in a similar way. Thanks in advance.

  

  I managed to get the performance back by going to the properties of the disc and turn off windows write cache flushing heat. The two boxes should be checked. Write speed then went to about 1400 MB/s.

• Problems after updating the BIOS on Satellite Pro P200

  I recently buy a Satellite Pro P200 running Windows Vista Business. Yesterday, I updated the BIOS to the version 1.50 supplied with the machine to 1.80 available on the Toshiba site. I double checked that I was using BIOS correct update for the Pro P200 Satellitel running Vista.

  After updating the BIOS, I have now two problems:

  1. whenever I start and join the office, I get an error message "record of Vista has stopped working". This problem has been identified as toshibavistaregistration.exe here: [link: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=99805]

  2 Control Panel > system now shows the processor and the memory (RAM) as "not available". Execution of the diagnostic PC Toshoba tool and looking at basic information show also no information on the memory (RAM) Although the processor information here.   I found the working version, and it is version F.08.

  Supposedly new version have different Active cables, and this is the reason why the screen is dark.

  Please tell the Reader/Acrobat version you use.

  Also say work on the operating system.

  You can try the next step and see if that helps.

  Launch Reader/Acrobat > Navigate to Edit > preferences > Page Display > rendering > smooth text choose to monitor and click OK.

  After sucessuflly firmware V1.2 update, I downloaded the memories of playing for Mac software. The download seems to work very well. But when I open the program, it would not. The symbol of loading (spinning wheel) keep spining and locked the Mac. I had to force quit to exit the program.

  May I ask if the problem persists after restarting the computer? What is the version of your OS? If you use the Mac OS X 10.10 and above, I recommend to uninstall the software and the driver loader download before reinstalling.

  NOTE: After you download the loader driver, restart the computer before reinstalling the software Home PlayMemories .

• Edition on DVD after using the movie menu.  Text of scene selection will not update after clicking on the advance button.

  I created a movie and used the Menu movie option.  I have 24 scenes.  After having engraved on a DVD the DVD will not update the text or the images listed by backstage after clicking on the button to move to the next series of scenes. However, if you click on the scene it will take you to a scene that should be on a page.   I use first elements 13 Windows 8.1 with 16 GB of RAM.  I tried different a few times and still have the same problem.  Thanks for your suggestions!

  I found my problem.  I got the Motion Menu button checked on each marker of the scene.  After that take-off it works perfectly.
