problems to install labview on ubuntu 10.04

Hello, I tried to install the student version Labview cd on my ubuntu system, but when I run the INSTALL script on the linux file I get the following error message: / LabviewCD/Linux/labview-2009/bin/rpmq: error while loading shared libraries: libbz2.so.1: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory can someone help?

OK, with the helpful message of crear_unifi in the other thread, I managed to install Labview on Ubuntu. Great work, problem solved.

  • Windows 7 takes 15 min to start after installing Labview 2012

    Hello

I need help on this, is this a bug?

The problem is that on my laptop after installing Labview 2012, it takes about 15 minutes to start, this happens every time a restart or start my laptop.

At first I thought something with my laptop, but then my colleague also installed Labview 2012 on his laptop and has exactly the same problem, the difference is that his new laptop and is running windows 7 Professional 64-bit, mine is older and is currently running windows 7 32-bit professional.

I tried to disable the services NOR, but has not solved the problem, but when I disable all windows services that start at startup, the startup is fast.

Also note that I had Labview 2011 installed before and I didn't have this problem before.

Tried also to find something in the registry, but nothing.

Any who have this problem, or a solution to this?

    Thanks in advance

This problem seems to be resolved, but then he come back again a few days later

I did many tests in my laptop and found it to be in the "Service of Network Store Interface" service (INS). Disabling this service, you have your problem solved, but there is another problem, you lose the network.
This happens because the "DHCP Client" service depends on the national statistical institutes.

Also, this issue seems to occur only when the PC is in a domain and I'm in a windows server (Windows SBS2008) domain.

Then I found that if you set manual this services which depend on national institutes of statistics (DHCP Client, DNS Client, IP Helper, network connections, local awareness network) and also put INS manual
You must also disable the "Workstation" service that also depends on national institutes of statistics (why turn off? Because there are 3 services that depend on the workstation service, they will require to start, and then it will force NSIS to start, then long boot, if you really need of the dependent services on workstation, do the same as for them)
Not also need uncheck this services in msconfig window if they are checked, and then the PC will boot normally without a network.

When you start, you should go to services and start the DHCP Client for the network (and the other if you really need)
This will force also NSIS to start and other services that depend on the national statistical institutes.
The first time the PC restarts, you may need to reset these services to manual in the services window, I had to do, and then in sebsequent boots, they have been already set to manual
If you leave right on the dependent services in automatic or automatic (delayed start) it will force NSIS to run and start time will go to + - 15 min

Because you must manually start "DHCP Client" for the network, here's a solution to do it automatically after have connected you:
1 - Go to control panel, and then open administrative tools
    Task 2-open Scheduller
    3. on the right click "Creat fundamental task.
    4. in the first window give a name ("DHCP" for example) and press next
5 - Click on "When I Logon" and press next
6 - click on "Start a program", and then press next
    7. in the "program/script" insert: net
    8. in the "Arguments" insert: start "DHCP Client".
    9 - Press 'Finish' and you're done

  • Compilation of Xilinx not installed labview 2015 FPGA tools

    Hello

I just installed Labview 2015 + FPGA Module on my computer with an older version of Labview 8.6.

When I compile a labview FPGA project 2015 I got this error message "year error occurred while communicating with the server compilation" and warning "tools of Compilation of Xilinx not installed."

I can assure you that my server of 2015 lunch perfectly and I installed everything correctly. I assure that it is a conflict between labview 8.6 and 2015 therefore uninstalled the older one.

The problem is my build configuration is set to Xilinx 10.1 (which should be 14.7) and there is no way to change this.

After looking around I found that Labview looking for best compilation tools then maybe this is not the problem

    Is there something I missed?

    Kind regards

    Hello

I found the source of the problem. The FPGA, I used was based on a FPGA Virtex II matrix that is not compatible with this version of the build tools.

  • 'Lack of installation files' then install LabVIEW 2014 (Win7-64 on a VMWare system)

    Hello

I try to install LabVIEW 2014 on a VMWare Windows 7 - 64-bit environment, with no luck.

3-DVD installation media has been downloaded from NI.com, the release of August 2014 of the Site license academic (ASL), which my company is a regular subscriber, a very long time.

(Interestingly enough, this same virtual system has fonctionnee LV 2012 without any problem whatsoever)

Here are the steps I followed:

    -unzip the 3 iso files on separate directories on drive virtual, principal of this system;

-Run setup.exe on the first directory (IE one that contains 1 DVD files)

-Enter the serial number of the FSA

-l' Installer leaves just selected default English 2014 LabVIEW and the Manager of Package of VI, so I expand the ASL Core Software to add NIDAQmx 2014, and I also selects the device drivers OR - August 2014

-J' I accept different license agreements

-I select "I am not the end user" to postpone activation

Setup continues but almost immediately alerts telling me that it was impossible to install "NI Customer Experience Improvement Program", Yes , I want to keep and then I see a system dialog box display of files/paths that do not actually exist on the directory DVD 1, hence the obvious error 'lack the installation files"message. If I ignore this message, several other similar dialog boxes appear.

Either by the way, I've done various research, but, right now, apparently not a popular question at all.

    Any advice?

    Problem solved.

For some weird reason, WinRAR do NOT extract some files from the first archive .iso (but more importantly, she also didn't show absolutely no error message, leading me to believe everything was fine).

When any further inspection, I found about it and made extraction .iso process everything again and this time to the installation program completed without fault.

  • How to install LabVIEW 7.0 on PXI-8186 RT

I try to install LabVIEW 7.0 in real-time on a PXI-8186 controller.  It took a lot of time to go through the process, and it still does not, so I write this message in part to help and partly to document which does not work for later use.  The controller provided with Windows XP installed.  I created a bootable Windows 98 (of http://www.allbootdisks.com/download/98.html) floppy.  I plugged in an external USB drive on the PXI-8186 controller.  The hard drive would be recognized only when the BIOS setting specified startup in Windows / other OS.  I brought to the top of the BIOS setting screen by pressing the delete key several times after turning on the chassis (hold the DELETE key and turn on the chassis do not provide the BIOS settings.  In the BIOS setting, I went to the tab 'LabVIEW RT' and changed the "Startup Configuration:" to "Windows / other OS.

I then started using the Windows 98 Startup disk and ran Fdisk

Using fdisk, I deleted the existing partition and creates a new main back partition with the size of the complete volume.

I then restarted the computer, once again starting with the Windows 98 Startup disk and formatted the C drive with the command "format C:".

"When the format was finished, I used MAX Version 4.5.0f0 and some tools of-> RT Disk Utilities-> create PXI Format hard drive.

I selected the Version 7.0 in the dropdown menu, complete the initialization of the disk without any problems and then used the resulting so that it starts the PXI chassis.

PXI started with the message 'Transfer control user program.' followed by a 11 lines from "WARNING KERNEL.346530: error initializing floppy A:" followed by a prompt to re - format the C: drive.  I typed "Yes".

    Then the following message appears:

Hard drive recovery to start in o/s real-time...

WARNING KERNEL.346530: Error initializing floppy drive A:

WARNING KERNEL.346530: Error initializing floppy drive A:

Change the drive target C:\hdmon.bin for a start.

Copy the host hdmon.bin target C:\hdmon.bin...

Error: Could not open source file hdmon.bin

Impossible to set up the hard drive boot sector.

At this point, I can enter the BIOS and configure the computer to start in LabVIEW RT and I get the following message:

"Could not load the LabVIEW RT of the player!

    Boot mode safe of Romans...

    Enter safe mode.

    The IP address is: 0.0.0.0

At this point, I can connect it to the chassis of MAX and assign an IP address.  I can also install LabVIEW 8.6 real-time without problem.  However, I can't get LabVIEW 7.0 installed in real time.  It is clear to me if in time real LabVIEW 7.0 must be installed using a diskette or by software 'install' button in MAX.  If I try to use the button 'Install Software', the only version of real time available is "8.6".  When I do "PXI Format hard drive", I see an option "7.0" or a "8.6".  Also, I tried to connect it to the chassis with 2 other computers, which have all two LabVIEW 7.0 installed in real time.

I saw an article in the knowledge base that says that LabVIEW 7.0 is supported on the PXI-8186 (http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/B35E022CF91F6EF086256E68005FBC29) controller and another link which explains that an additional CD can be used to install the software (LabVIEW RT software does not exist on the Local host for PXI-8186 controller: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/4655C86B65AE7A7286256E620004834C?OpenDocument _)

However, this knowledge base made from 24/03/2004 and I have not received any CD entitled "The LabVIEW Real-time Embedded Software CD.  I got a CD "embedded controller OR ', but it was not obvious to me how to use it.  He has an "I386" folder and a "BONE" record on this matter.

    Any help appreciated.

After a Chase, the CD mentioned in the knowledge base has been found ("LabVIEW Real-time Embedded Software CD").  I put this CD on a computer that had at the time real LabVIEW 7.0 and Max Version 3.0.2 in it.  The Setup program ran, I installed LabVIEW 6.1 and 7.0 support and the installation tree showed that the support would be added for PXI-818 x controllers.  After running the program, I was able to install the software for the PXI-8186 and things worked as explained in the knowledge base.

The CD mentioned also ran on my laptop, which has MAX version 4.5.0f0.  However, you are using the latest version of MAX, I don't have the ability to install LabVIEW 7.0 in real-time on the PXI-8186 controller since the button to install the software.  I looked briefly using MAX, but I could not know if it is a bug with the latest version of the Drivers of OR or a voluntary choice of National Instruments for support not time real LabVIEW 7.0 in newer versions.

  • get the message "setup.exe has stopped working" when trying to install labview 2011 or 2012 on a windows machine 7

When you try to install labview 2011 or 2012 on a windows machine 7, I get a message "setup.exe has stopped working". I tried to run setup.exe as an administrator with the same results. I have Microsoft .NET Framework installed on the affected machine 4.5.1. Could be the cause of this problem? Or does anyone know the root cause of this error?

Hi - are you getting it at the beginning of installation, during or after 100% progression ended?

Is it fair to LabVIEW you install, or is it drivers too, in this case, what was the last big package that has been installed at the time?

This can be caused by the NVIDIA chipset driver:

  • Installing LabVIEW 8.2.1 with DAQmx 8.0 on Suse 10.3 for Linux.

We have recently updated some of our machines to Opensuse 10.3.  We have a set of instructions, that my Advisor has written that have been used for installing Labview 8.2.1 and 1.6 NATION DAQmx 8.0 on Opensuse 10.3.  I thought I would post these instructions for any person who may find them useful.

NATION is now on version 1.7 and we began to use that, but not as of the most recent writing of these instructions.  We have installed Labview 8.5 by following these instructions as well, but they have not been modified for that either.  I used these instructions to install Labview 8.5, NATION DAQmx base 1.7 and 3.1 on a laptop since we need supported USB for a NI 9233.  It is installed without problem. I changed the following:

On step 10, the version of NATION was 1.7 1.6 not.
In step 11. I installed DAQmx Base 1.3 instead of DAQmx 8.0 and the message about Labview 8.0 is not being installed does not occur.
Steps 13 and 14 should not be necessary since the DAQmx Base and Labview versions likely mutually wait to be there.

Once I had everything installed on the laptop, Labview didn't see my camera.  I contacted NEITHER and they were very helpful and offered a few commands to run.  Here's what I did.

I ran "lsdaq" with the following result:

    > --------------------------------
    >
    > Detection of National Instruments DAQ devices
    >
    > Find the following materials:
    >
    > OR USB-9233: "Dev1" (USB0::0x3923:0x70A8:01369063: RAW)
    >
    > --------------------------------

So I ran "mxbaseconfig" with this error as output:
    >
    > LabVIEW caught fatal signal
    >
    SIGSEGV > 8.2.1 - received
    >
    > Reason: address not mapped to the object
    >
    > Try to reference address: 0x0
    >
    >/usr/local/bin/mxbaseconfig: line 7: 18984 Segmentation fault
    >/etc/natinst/nidaqmxbase/bin/mxbaseconfiglv

So I ran "/ usr/local/natinst/nidaqmxbase/bin/dmxbUSBfirmware.sh" with this error
    >
    > /usr/local/natinst/nidaqmxbase/bin/dmxbUSBfirmware.sh: line 9:19214
    >/Etc/natinst/nidaqmxbase/bin/niusb9162dlfw failed

Finally, I ran "updateNIDrivers" as root but Labview has not yet see the USB card.  It was suggested then manually enter "Dev1/ai0' as the physical channel in an example DAQmx Base VI, and it worked perfectly.  Everthything seems fully functional and I had no problem running the four tracks of the card.  Sorry for the long post, just thought I would post this information where a person is in a similar situation.

    Jeff

    Jeff,

Support for the USB-9234 DAQmx Base was added to version 3.2. All you have to do is to level 3.1 to 3.2. Here is the download link:

    Hi Randhir_Kr,

Normally when Windows is installed after the "Master Boot Record" of Ubuntu, MBR, will be overwritten. You can boot from a LiveCD and repair the MBR. However, there are 2 different approaches.

  • No sound in Windows 7 after installing dual boot Ubuntu (Sound Blaster Audigy)

I recently put my Windows 7 system to dual-boot with Ubuntu 9.10.

Now, Ubuntu will play audio through my Sound Blaster Audigy, but Windows 7 will not. I reinstalled all the drivers and installed correctly. I went through the troubleshooting Control Panel section; She didn't find any problem, but there is still no sound. When I play music, volume control shows that the audio is playing.

I can only assume that there is a problem with the installation of Ubuntu, that seems odd, since BONES are on separate partitions on my hard drive. Like I said, Ubuntu played outside the Audigy with no problems.

Meanwhile I use my onboard sound for Win7, but I'd love to get my audigy...

Any ideas or suggestions are welcome.

Nope checked all the possible power for audio setting in windows 7.  The only solution I found was disabling Audigy, plug in my onboard sound, allowing it and restart the computer.  On restart I could activate audigy, plug on it and activate the audigy player.  It was my only solution, but this is not going to work whenever I want to use ubuntu. No solution practice.

I downloaded the last FF, how do I install it on Ubuntu LTS 10.04.2?
I unpacked in my downloads folder, but can't get the installer to recognize.

My current version of FF is: 3.6.17/1.0 for Ubuntu.

If you have the binary file, then you just extract it in / opt, however, you can add repositories of package which is the cleanest most built-in way to do. I suggest you follow this guide http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2011/03/firefox-4-ppa-for-ubuntu-10-04-and-10-10-users/ it worked wonderfully for me.
