Problems with the restoration of a previous session

Hello! Earlier today, I closed my window with the option "save the tabs for the next time." I then restarted my Firefox and all I got was a blank white screen. I waited for awhile and then closed the window. When starting Firefox again once, I looked at the option "recently closed windows" and it is the normal color of black, not gray. When I moved to select, it did not bring the list of my windows closed, but a very very small white box. Clicking on it did nothing. I tried to go to about: sessionrestore, but the box had no option in it at all. Nothing to click or highlight. I read a little on similar issues, and I backed up all my "sessionstore" type options in the profile folder just to be safe. I tried the method of the first name change the sessionstore.js to sessionstore.old and took the file sessionstore.bak - 20132025151332 and replacing the .js .bak. No luck. I also tried to delete the original .js file and try again the .bak to step .js. I have to do something wrong, because whenever I have restart Firefox, all I get is the start page. I activated the option "when Firefox starts, show my windows and tabs from last time '. It is said that the original .bak file is dated 11/04/2013, and I also have a file sessionstore-1 dated 6. The original .js is dated from 10. Any help is very appreciated! It is quite upsetting to lose so many important tabs. Also, my computer is running Windows XP. Thank you very much!

If the sessionstore.js file is corrupted, then you may not be able to restore this session

There are a few examples of how extract a sessionstore.js file links in this mozillaZine forum thread.

  • [HELP] Problem with the restoration and recovery in the new host

    Hi, guys!

I have tried for two days, but still can't make it work.
I took a hot (online) full backup archive as well as the control file logs with the SPFILE and then copy the backup to the new host with the same directory structure and parameters. Finally, I tried to restore and recover the database on the new host, but failed during the restore process.

The original host and the new host have the same subject Oracle installed until the patch level. I couldn't understand the solution to this problem based on my knowledge on Oracle DB.

Could someone help me out here? Any advice would be appreciated!

In short, the RCS of the controlfile will be generally higher than corresponding SCN of the data in the event of hot backup (online) file; However, the two SNA will be the same in the case of cold (off-line) backup. Am I entitled?

Yes, it's true. In a backup cold (assuming that the CLOSURE was not a SURRENDER but was NORMAL, TRANSACTIONAL, or IMMEDIATE) all files in the database (data files, redo log and controlfiles files) are 'compatible' - at the same point in time, to the same SCN. In a hot backup, the files are updated. RMAN is not necessarily take all the data files at the same time - for example when you have several data files, RMAN would backup the files in batches of 4 or 8 - data files are therefore controlled at different points in time. Similarly, the controlfile is saved last.

Database is Oracle 11 g with archivelog active

the recovery was successful, but achieved your goal.

There are several options to reach your goal to recover your database to a particular State that is point in time.

1 restore the file of control as noted above. you restore the control file must not be aware of the generated once archivelog that you update your table. IE backup controlfile prior you updatedyour table.

    2. do not apply archivelog all during recovery. You can use SNA, SEQUENCE, RESTORE POINT option of the recover command. This option requires that you open your database with resetlog.

read: scene of Flashback and the database Point-in - time recovery

After a restore successful your database (before the recover command), you can "alter database open read-only" to check and confirm the values in the table.

  • RH9 WebHelp problem with the buttons next and previous topic

The previous topic and next topic buttons do not work as expected. By example, if I navigate to topics and click on the previous topic, I expect to see the most recent section I read (similar to the use of the back button in a browser to see the previous page). However, the previous button is not available or the user to a random topic and next topic never brings up the next topic.

I inherited this project, my first experience with RH9 and so am not sure something previous author included in the project to check the buttons appear or if these buttons are part of the interface default WebHelp. I looked in properties available to single Source for each output, but do not see any place to specify information on these buttons.

As you can see in the screenshot, is not on the sequences of travel (I saw that there are other questions about Next and Previous as sequences associated to browse).

Any help appreciated because this bug was found by QA and they would like to solve the problem in the next update...

    Hello

These buttons above the table of contents are buttons for the navigation sequence. And that might explain their behavior.

  • Problem with the restoration of the system

    Hello

I can't restore my system to an earlier time. When I try to restore, the computer stops and seems to go through steps, he needs to in order to restore but when starting, even once, it displays a message saying "system could not be restored (date/time). Please select another restore point. "The problem is that even if you select another restore point, is the same thing. I ran my anti-virus program and no viruses are detected. Any ideas?

    Hello

Maybe the created restore point has been corrupted or the option has been disabled.
I studied in the net and found the FAQ from Microsoft document on the Restore tool in Windows XP.

  • Problem with the HP G62 recovery disks

    Hello

I'm having a problem with the restoration of the operating system on your laptop HP G-62. When I first bought the laptop, I was unable to make the recovery discs, so I ordered recently a few new HP. Because I have installed Ubuntu on the laptop, I wiped it from the disk hard drive used Wipedrive to remove the old Ubuntu operating system I had installed.

Laptop computer reads the first disc ok and installs the component of windows, but when the screen lights up asking the two disc number it freezes and never installs anything when you try to move anything that used to screen it doesn't matter what and he used to install the second disk. He repeats just 'Please wait '.

    Thank you, Robert

    Hi, Robert:

I can't help you get the recovery disks to work, but if you can read all 25 characters of the product key 7 windows on the bottom of your PC, you can do your own installation disc 7 windows to reinstall the operating system.

    Here's how:

If you can read the Microsoft windows 7 25-character product key, you can download simple Windows 7 ISO files to burn on a DVD for the version of windows that is installed on your PC, and which is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker on your PC case.

Burn the ISO with the option to burn the ISO on your DVD burning program and burn it at the slowest possible speed that will allow your program. This will create a bootable DVD.

Or use the installation of Windows 7 USB/DVD tool to compile the ISO file that you download from Digital River. Link and instructions below. You need a 4 GB flash drive to use the USB compilation method.

    http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/HTML/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool

Use 25 characters on the PC product key to activate the installation.

The key will activate a 32 or 64 bit installation.

Then go to the support of the PC and driver page to install the drivers you need.

Link to downloads ISO of W7 is below.

Hi, I am trying to run restoring the system on my desk is a problem with the program in a loop.  He directs the system restore and then comes back just to start the system again Restore page.  How to solve this?  I started having problems when I have updated the BIOS on my motherboard.  When I installed the motherboard at the start, I think I used the incorrect installation disc (my son has same brand motherboard but the sound is more advanced).

Recovery of your computer (Windows) using "Recovery Partition" of the Manufacture or
contact PC manufacturing (see support links below) and order the recovery media.

Note: Activation is not required when you use the recovery partition or recovery media, but you will need to reinstall all your applications.

Also to save your documents on external support (if possible) before starting the recovery process.

Once completed, your PC will be actually in the State when you first purchased it and turned on for the 1st time.

To access the recovery Partition, start your computer, and then by pressing the appropriate function key. It can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12, DEL or tab key. Check the list below or your user manual for your brand and model.

If your hard drive has failed, do not have a recovery partition or the recovery partition is not accessible,
Then, you must contact the manufacturer support team and ask for a "recovery disc" which allows to reinstall Windows 7.

How access/start the process of recovery of the manufactures listed below.

  • My homepage with the restore session was crushed. What is the address of the start page?

Ask.com has replaced my home page. I need the address so I can bring it back to the home page of firefox with the restore session button. I tried to reinstall firefox, but that has not worked.

Alternatively, you can try to reset the browser.startup.homepage_override.mstone pref on the topic: config page.

  • Satellite A500 - problem with the monitor after restoration

    Hello
I have a Satellite A500. He has a problem with the monitor for a while, when you turn it on it's all lines etc. and you can not read but once the laptop to boot completely it is fine. My problem is that I wanted to do a restore, but I couldn't because the screen problem it started so I plugged into an external monitor and perform the restore. That has worked well.

But now the laptop recognizes any my laptop screen. When you go to view it offers no other monitor choice other than external, I used for the restoration. I downloaded the display driver but nothing has changed.
    ANY IDEAS?

    Thank you

(I have the disks for the restoration, if that helps.)

    > There a problem with the monitor for a while, when you turn it on it's all lines etc. and you can't read
If I understand you right you can see when laptop starts and you see Toshiba welcome screen. Is this good?
When you enter the BIOS settings you see thise lines too?

Later, when you see the desktop on the external monitor, you can use the FN + F5 key combination to switch between an LCD and external monitor. Please try to use it and post comments if it works or not.

What operating system do you use?

    Hi judithl34724699,

If you want to convert Word files to PDF with the Adobe Reader application then it is possible with the service Pack of PDF. Try to use the service on the web: https://cloud.acrobat.com/convertpdf

Also try to use a different file type.

    Thank you

I have recently installed Windows 10 free update.  Now I am unable to delete .pdf files and get the invalid error message "Function MS-DOS."  It has never been a problem with the previous Windows 8.1.  I contacted Microsoft technical support and they told me there is a problem with the .pdf application and I need to contact Adobe Acrobat. This can be corrected?

uninstall any version of acrobat is installed.

clean by Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat tool - Adobe Labs

    Restart your computer.

delete all to delete pdf files.

If this fails, it is a problem of ms.  If this attempt is successful, then reinstall your acrobat.
