ProBook 4710 s: "no battery is detected.

the expression in the above line is what I see when I check the battery level. I bought a spare battery, and that did not solve the problem. Machine goes dead operated a/c.

Thanks for your help!

Sometimes it's the simplest thing; a machine to an HP certified tech, within 2 minutes he "unbent" one of the pins in the battery

My new 4330 s Probook was delivered with yellow light flashing AC outlet.

Wouldn't start on battery, it started when it is connected to the AC outlet.

The reason seems to be that "No battery is detected", and this is shown in the lower right corner and the battery icon that is blank and shows a red cross.

This problem has everything going and just randomly and when it just means that the laptop can not be used without be permanently connected to the power supply. It's very embarrassing for a mobile device, held by a person who travels a lot and he needs in terms of battery power!

After 2 months of this problem coming and going, searching the Web, reading the forums of HP and contacting HP business support, I have tried the solutions only 3 they offered so far: -.

1 turn off the laptop, remove the AC cable, remove the battery then press and hold the power button for more than one minute.

Then restart on power supply and insert the battery once the laptop has started.

This solution worked about once in nearly 20 times "No battery is detected.

2 uninstall the ACPI control method driver compatible battery in Device Manager, then restart the laptop.

It has never solved the problem.

    3. constant restarts and removals of battery and then reinsert.

Sometimes, it seems to work, although generally this problem just back them and forth and so this solution can never be determined clearly as being correct.

I have now connected another complaint with HP, but as is Easter, I won't be able to track until later this week.

Someone at - it something to try please?

I spoke with HP and after running through all the previous suggestions once again, the "No battery is detected" is always on display. HP decided to send a new battery in Exchange for one that should arrive in the next few days.

However, at the same time, I have inadvertently discovered a very simple work around...

Put the laptop to sleep with the charger plugged in.

The yellow light on the entrance of ca then stops flashing and lights up, indicating that the laptop battery is now in charge.

Wake up the laptop, you will see that the watch battery icon now loads and works correctly.

The laptop will then continue to load to the full (changes from light yellow to blue) and will now run on battery alone.

A battery using HP support assistant test now shows 'Battery OK'.

Then guess the new battery is not necessary...

Yes, HP or Windows 7 driver issue?...

  • No battery is detected

I bought a new ProBook 4530 s less than 2 weeks ago. It is currently running Windows 7 64 bit. I used it today on the battery when it stopped unexpectedly.  Apparently, the battery is low.  I was listening to music and did not hear any warning of low battery.  Certainly, there is no popup message.  I plugged in the charger and the computer restarted.  Now, I see an icon at the bottom right of the screen which apparently means no battery is detected.  The yellow light on the left side of the laptop near the power cord blinks.  I did some research online and tried to remove and replace the battery several times.  No change.  Originally, I was unable to start the computer from the battery at all.  Now, I find I have enough power I can start from the battery, so we must do certain powers despite the icon.   I now rebooted several times, plugged in and battery.  I always get the message No battery and flashing yellow light.

I looked in the Device Manager, and it is said that the battery is fine.  Help, please!

I used the HP Warranty Service online chat.  The technician crossed the scenario suggested above, but it did not work, so he wrote out a prescription and a new battery was addressed to me by delivery the next day.  The new battery completely solved the problem.  Kudos to HP for service warranties and solve this!

  • ProBook 4710 overheating

I just pulled this out of the closet after the purchase of a Tablet - update of current patches - noticed after the update that the laptop was closed (I leave on through weekend for easy use). I didn't pay any attention to the closure, thought it was normal.

Last night after I left the laptop on all day, I opened the screen, touch the mouse and it stops. I felt the laptop and the lower left corner was so hot that we couldn't touch. I jumped it in the fridge (yes I did and it started up without any apparent problem.) I love this laptop (listed in the notes below) and will be a pleasure but a cooler it is this necessary? Is something else wrong, that I don't know? I have always noticed that this model was hot - but geez - he gets blistering hot when left for a long time.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Hello compenthusiast,

    Your computer is overheating.

It could be that the system needs to be updated or that the fan may not be spinning or that there is a build-up of dust in the system.

Here is a link that will help reduce the heat inside the system.

    Do a hard reset.
    Turn off the computer.
Remove the power cable and battery.
Hold down the power button for 15 sec while booth energy sources are deleted.

This should reset the hardware in the computer.

That you put it on press the F10 key. This will load the BIOS setup utility.
Press F9 to load the default values.
Press F10 to save and exit.

When the computer starts up, check if everything is working.

I would like to know how everything goes.

    Nice day.

  • Portege M800 new battery - "no battery is detected.

    Hello!

I bought new Toshiba battery original for my M800-107, since man alone has lost half of its capacity. The problem is when I plugged this new battery in Win7 says "No charge, battery connected" and after that "no battery is detected. When I unplug AC, laptop works, but when I plug it again, still no load (no existence of the battery). The Red of the battery charge indicator flashes, when the AC is unplugged, lights when AC is connected. I have tried everything what I found on the internet for this problem, but nothing worked :-(

I also tried Ubuntu to see if Win is the problem, but the same problem occurred.

    I have BIOS v. 5.00.

Do you know any solution? Maybe - new BIOS if there was any news?

    Thanks in advance.

Did you buy original battery Toshiba Toshiba logo on the label of the battery?
What happens when you start the laptop with power supply only, without battery and insert the battery when the operating system is fully loaded?

  • Equium A300D-13 x - No battery is detected

    Hello

Recently, I thought it would be time for me to buy a new laptop for my Toshiba Equium A300D-13 x from the current battery is so old, I get about 5-7 minutes to load off of him.

So I looked online and shopped and the official Toshiba who were £140!, to remedy that I opted for a replacement which was about £20 (cheap).

Anyway, the battery is the same exact battery toshiba model number official I have and that is the exact same voltage 10.8V. However the battery is not detected in the laptop?

What is interesting is that the battery powers the laptop he just doesn't tell me how many remaining charge, I left. Also when it is plugged to the AC does not detect, it looks as if he is in charge the laptop as the clear meaning that the AC is plugged is on, and the battery indicator orange (charging)

All I have this problem or know what I can do to fix this, as I don't have 140 pounds sterling to buy a new battery.

    Thank you.
    Aude

    Hello

Have you had the same battery problems with the old, original battery?

In my experience there are a several batteries 3 third-party but not all meet the standards even if the part number is the same

But it seems that the battery is detected because the laptop can be powered on using the orange battery indicator battery energy you also show that the battery would be charged.

However, I would recommend checking the version of the BIOS.
My knowledge BIOS update might help to solve the problems with the battery.

If it doesn't help you, I'd recommend testing other batteries that you can order directly from an ASP Toshiba in your country in this case you can be sure that your battery is compatible and works 100%.

  • Equium A300D - 16 c - battery not detected after replacement

I have an Equium A300D - 16 c. The original battery was shot while I bought a stack of real PA3727-1brs 12. I have put in the laptop, it seems to load, but in the corner, he always says no battery not detected even if its load on. When I leave the charger it says remaining unknown.

I tried the usual stuff to go into Device Manager and uninstall control compliant apci and still he has not solved it self. I've also updated my bios to the newest one. I just wanted to know what could I do so I can see how much battery is left, and if the laptop can recognize I..

    Hello

Is this a battery Toshiba of origin of an authorized service provider?

Usually, the new battery should be detected after the first start, I recommend that you charge the battery while the laptop is turned off. Start the laptop with battery only and check if she recognized properly s.

  • Toshiba A300 PSAGCE battery not detected

    Hello everyone.

I have a Toshiba Satellite A300 (PSAGCE) which worked well since I. Recently, he showed "battery not charging". I went to see what I could do and someone advised that I should update the BIOS. So, I went to the website of Toshiba and downloaded the update for my BIOS. I have install without problem. He now has the version 2.20. The problem of "battery not charging" had disappeared.

I had a new problem: battery not detected!

The battery worked well and he gave me 2 hours of normal use. Now, it is not "detected". I did everything I could think of. Do you have the BIOS reset (pressing on the WE / OFF button / stop for 30 seconds), I left it with the battery for a few days, etc...

When I connect the battery, it shows an orange light for 5 seconds and he died later. I don't know what more I can do. I contacted Toshiba in my country without success. They have not yet responded to my email.

Any ideas? I tried with another charger than computer shows the same.

I have install as a program of "batterycare.net" and it shows that I have 1.40 hours of battery, but as soon as I remove the cable ca, the computer shuts down without power.

I guess I won't be needing help... I flashed my BIOS with a lower version that I had (2.20 > 1.80) and now it does not start even upward.

I'm kidding not things for good.

    Any changes to save it?

  • Satellite C650 - "no battery is detected.

    Hi all

(I apologize if this has already been covered, but each problem is different!)

I have a Satellite C650, bought ~ August 2010. Basically, I have a problem with the battery. It is in place, with the power supply AC plugged and recognized. The two LEDs are green display.

When the office, however, the battery icon is empty, with a Red Cross and a symbol of feeder on top. Hovering above, it says "no battery is detected."

The machine seems to work very well and on the normal speed, and there is no other signs to suggest that it is damaged on the screen or on the outside. The only flaw that is a fan that is slow to the "liquidation", but the laptop is not hotter than usual.

What did I try? Switch off, pull out the AC adapter, and then remove and replace the battery. There is no sign of damage to the battery, or around it. The same question "icon" remains.

I'm a student, so it is quite essential. In addition, with the AC cord is connected, the unit will continue to operate normally - or die suddenly?

I'm a bit of a technophobe, so nothing too complicated please-, but all suggestions welcome!

    Thank you

    JW

    > Also, with AC, the power cord is connected, the unit will continue to operate normally - or die suddenly?

Not sure if I understand this. The laptop will be and should work fine with the AC adapter connected.

Usually, the battery should charge when the power adapter is connected. If the battery is fully charged, the battery led should go green and recharging must stop.

However, I would recommend updating the BIOS to see if the battery issue is always available

If the BIOS update does not help, replace the battery with another compatible.

  • Battery not detected after Windows update

    Hello

I own a HP Pavilion G series laptop and I have windows running on it 8.1. Windows just made me finish an update, after which it is not detecing my battery more. Initially, he says: "trendy but no charging current. That's why I shut down the computer, removed the battery and plugged in. Now, he said only: "no battery is detected.

I should mention that I do not use the original supplied with the laptop battery. It's a long battery life that worked well until the update. Please note that I am not too good with computers.

I appreciate any kind of help in this situation. In addition, please let me know if any other information is needed to help out me.

    Thank you

Edit: Now, sound to pass the message between: "no battery is detected" and "trendy but no charging current.

    That of Emad,

    Welcome to the HP Forum.

The updated patch is maybe not able to detect "non standard" battery you are using.

You could try to use a Restore Point and affecting the system to a date before the update was installed.  In this way, the offending update will be deleted from your computer.

Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8)

Contrary to belief, you have a choice on the installation of the updates.   Windows cannot make you install updates on your computer.

You can set Windows updates notification, so you can decide what updates are valid for your situation.  Many people choose this course as one that fits, even if it forces you to do a little more work.

If you set the Windows updates to be notified

    • and you always create a Restore Point before you choose to install updates
    • and ONLY install you the important updates (never optional updates)
    • and you've read about the updates that you have any concerns at all
    • then, you may find that you have less long-term problems

Click on the thumbs-up Kudos to say 'Thank you' for help.

  • Battery not detected after upgrading Windows 10

Improved my Aspire 5738 of Win 7 to 10 to win. After upgrade, no battery is detected by the laptop. I like to win 10, but if no solution is found, I'll neeed to roll back to Win 7 fast enough, or I'll be stuck with a laptop that is always running in an office environment.

  • Upgrade of Windows 10 - battery not detected

Upgrade Windows 10 has left me with battery not detected laptop Aspire 5738. Already tried the reset of the coercive power, no luck. If I can't find a solution, I need to roll back to Windows 7 or be stuck with a portable desktop computer. Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks to Alfin72 in the Windows 10 forum for a solution that worked:

'Please check if you can do a reset of the battery driver. Here are the steps: go to the currency manager. Windows with your left hand and hold and then press the key for the letter X with your right hand. Then select Design Manager in the list. Right-click on compatible ACPI Microsoft control method battery and choose uninstall. Click the ACtion tab on the top of the search window and chose any material changes. The solution worked great!

I also ended up making a coercive power, then reset because it is now detected the battery but did not load. To do this, simply unplug everything (including the battery), power for 15 seconds button (you won't see anything happen), then reconnect and restart. After that windows will appear, give it another 30 seconds, then put battery back in. Now, it's all good!
