Production cycle of ODI

Guys,
A basic question.when we build our ODI model we build using database development using the topology of dev and we build our interfaces using this model. When we move to production, we just need to configure the topology pointing to production and use that when we execute our interface.is that right? or do we build our model using tables of production using the topology of production and then build our interface using this model.

than the one that we need to do? or do we need the two models of odi and then use dev model to build the interface, and then when we run
Just use the topology of production... IAM get confused a bit here, could you please me clear on this.

See you soon

When you have a standard installation of ODI: (one master repository and several repositories of work - one for the dev and test for prod).
You will define all the dev, test and prod connections in the architecture of the physical topology.
You will need to create a context for the dev, a test and one for prod.
For each of these contexts, you will link the physical according to connection. What you have to do through the logical architecture.
The models that you use in your scenario s, interfaces, procedures, variables are related to this logical architecture and will use the correct physical architecture when you choose "dev" or "test" or "prod" context when executing it.

  • Gendral info about ODI

    Hi friends

Is ODI (Oracle data integration) simillar ETL - Infomatrica ie warahousing of data?
    OR BI (business intelligence)?

I know the Differenct between these three, that I want to learn data integration?
    So, what should I choose

ODI ETL or BI? Please advice?

My skill set is iam good in pl - sql and sql

    Aarasu

A data warehouse can be implemented with any high-level RDM such as Oracle DB. The way in which the data is stored is very different from an operational database. I guess you should read some doc about it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Data_warehouse#Dimensional_vs._Normalized_approach_for_storage_of_data

    You are right:
-ELT or ETL tools are used to load data into the data warehouse. ODI is the ELT of Oracle tool.
-BI tools are used to make the reports/dashboards on the data stored in the data warehouse. OBIEE is the tool of Oracle BI (tool for reporting and dashboards).

If you want to use Oracle products, you must:
    -ODI: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/data-integrator/overview/index.html
    -OBIEE: HTTP://WWW.ORACLE.COM/US/SOLUTIONS/BUSINESS-ANALYTICS/BUSINESS-INTELLIGENCE/ENTERPRISE-EDITION/OVERVIEW/INDEX.HTML

  • Customize the frequency of subscription revenue cycle

    Hello

I'm currently starting a company that will ship the items to customers on a regular basis. Everything in British Colombia is well done and thought through, but when it comes to the frequency of the product cycle is only a very limited choice that does not match my needs (no option to send a product "2 months" or "4 months"). Does anyone know a workaround for this? Or could you, Mr Adobe, please add these options (this should really only take 5 minutes for one of your developers to implement...).

    See you soon!

    Hey rockingstocking,

At the present time, there are only 8 different cycle types that can be selected are the following:

I'm not aware of any workaround to use a different cycle type, but I'll leave this open discussion in order to receive comments and suggestions from others in the community.

What I'll do here, is to submit this suggestion as a feature in your name request. Please keep in mind that this does not guarantee that this feature will apply, however, the request will be reviewed.

    • S window 7 Home Premium 64
    • 4th generation Intel® Core™ i5-4200U processor + Intel® HD graphics card
    • diagonal 15.6-inch BrightView HD (1366 x 768) LED backlit

    • 802.11b/g/n WLAN [1 X 1]

The first of the NIC card went bad, then had to send it back and they sent me a HP Envy.  It works very well.

Now, the second cell of 15 t-n200 HP Pavilion, less used because an employee currently, screen shows horizontal white lines across the entire screen.

    I have:

    1. Uninstalled/Reinstalled the graphics card
    2. Restored to a previous restore point
    3. It was restarted in safe mode and result of the diagnostic stuff
    4. Rebotted and restarted

The lines went away for about 30 minutes after the restoration of windows, but finally they came back and the screen is more often just now.

I have a beautiful, like new, HP Pavilion 15 t-n200 that seems to be DEFECTIVE. Ironically, just like this one.

I remember at the time where Dell was the big name in portable PC.  When I worked for GE, Dell embarquerions computers laptops new for us, for our Department that would not last a month, or the keyboard could not be broken up (even if the box was not), etc.

I promised myself after that experience of being a man of HP, but it's flat disappointing...  Two flags which broke out, before the expiry of the guarantee and the other after the expiration of the warranty...

Even if I don't feel like there is nothing I can do at this point, I am open to all to give a final blow to this laptop.  Anyone have any ideas?

I am very disappointed with HP... There, the quality became atrocious over the years.  Problem after problem... I'm tired of it...  If this issue cannot be solved, I'll take my business to Toshiba... or even Lenovo (IBM Stinkpads)...

THE SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM IS:

.. .drum roll... NOT to BUY HP LAPTOP PAVILION... NEVER!

I have been contacted by a case manager, but it doesn't have a lot of help, as all he could do was offer repair me the laptop at a price that is outrageous compared to the initial cost of the laptop.

But why would I want a laptop faulty return?  This is the reason why HP WILL NOT receive any business from me in the future.

I bought TWO 2 HP Pavilion 15 t - n200 Notebooks (exact same configurations - exactly what was suggested):

-Purchased directly from the HP Store homepage

-Both bought within two months of the other

    -Both shipped from China

-The two end up having defective parts, giving them a useful life of less than a year for a single and a little more than one year for each other.

-Laptop 1 had a faulty NIC card, 2 portable has a defective video card or the LCD

-Two laptops were PC replacements and barely moved.

What are the chances that BOTH of these books have defective parts?

HP does not seem to think nothing of it, I have increased my case and their climbing team, which is supposed to meet before the end of the next business day, NEVER communicated with me when I told him my concerns of a range of defective products and/or the production cycle...

If you have this problem, it is my view that the same given the support of options gives you, you unfortunately bought a LEMON.  At least, that's how I think of her and lost nearly $600.  Never again...

  • "MB Ethernet Slave Demon.vi" connection lost when opening a windows dialog box in my application

    Hello everyone,

I am currently working on a LabVIEW application that communicates with a PLC using a Modbus Protocol (with an ethernet cable). The PLC is the master and the PC is the slave.

The code is based on the Modbus of LabVIEW examples: "MB Ethernet example Master.vi, MB Ethernet example Slave.vi and MB Ethernet slave Demon.vi. It is not the first time I use it.

But I recently discovered a problem. In my application, I have a pop-up with a button that opens a windows dialog box to select a result file.

When the windows dialog box opens, the "MB Ethernet Slave Demon.vi" crashes (I put a meter inside to see what happened and it stops at the moment opens the dialog box), then when I close the dialog box, the counter continues to count, the connection ID is empty, and the number of the demon slave VI connection resets to 0. When communication is re-established between the PC and PLC (like 10 seconds after the closure of the dialog box), the number of connection go to 1 and table of login ID is no longer empty.

Otherwise, the communication works very well. But not when the dialog box opens and is a significant problem for me because the user must be able to open results file during production that needs the Modbus communication at work because it's the controller who gives orders the computer to run the production cycle.

Thanks in advance for your help.

If you think that the problem is inside the library NI Modbus (old), why don't you use the most recent which is available on the network of tools? Link is here: https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-30140

Looking into some of the screws in the library, she uses methods of Server VI as "Run a VI" that will perform the loop of the root, as it crashes while the file dialog is open. I suspect that the new version of the library is not the problem.

Well, actually, I got two SL1s, and since I only need one I will return it.  On the two boxes, I noticed that there is a model number of different bodies.

One body is listed as 8575B 003 [AA] and the other is 8575B 0003 [BA].  What is the difference?  Now, I wonder if we stock 'B' or if 'BA' represents a revision to the body.

  • How in a dv7 - 4153cl?

I want to remove the drive of my dv7 - 4153cl. It seems easy. Unscrew the five screws holding the big sign T-shape at the rear and lift the Panel. Loosen the screws, but the group refuses to budge. I found the service manual c02642701.pdf, and he confirmed what seemed obvious.  The T-shaped Panel is called the hard drive cover. The five screws are secure, which means that they are not supposed to fall when they are loose. Lift the base of the T first.  I can get the tip of a screwdriver under the Panel, but the Committee moves not except at the base of the T. I feel that the other three screws are loose. It feels like there is a hidden somewhere clip. Suggestions for access are welcome.  Thank you.

The expert agreed there are hidden tabs. Here's what I found while learning to get into my computer. Details may change as the production cycle continues. I guess HP is finding the right balance between klutzy users keeping on and leaving a quickly trained technician. Place the top of the system down with the hinges is facing you. Then the coverage problem resembles the letter T, with the stem facing you. BR to ensure that all the screws are loose, but don't forget that they still held and do not fall. At the very center of the lower part of the stem, gently lift. Slide something under the cover to maintain the tension and to avoid losing the little prograss so far. Then work on the right side of the stem of the T.  To halfway to the top of the rod there is a small tab and a corresponding cavity in the body.  Do not hunt for them yet. A little more towards the top of the stem is a place to raise gently, about 4 or 5 slots in the top of the vent in the stem. When the right side of the stem is free, insert something to keep him free. Then push the rod to the right to release the much larger Switchblade on the left. Insert more things so that your progress is not broken. There are two small tabs on the bottom of the right side of the cross piece of the T. Certain combinations of techniques shoud work. Push the lower part of the stem to the right.  Carefully lift the points of access along the right edge of the top piece. One is to halfway between the screws and the top edge up to now.  The other is the same distance from the screw toward you. Insert more filling. Then push the T away from you to release the larger tabs on the left. Finally, pull the cover to release the three large tabs along the top of the T.

  • Reverse engineering DB2 alias

    Hello!

We had a request to hide our data production DB2 for ODI.

Our administrators have created a schema that is hidden with views that mask the delicate paintings and aliases to other tables not requiring masking.

There are about 40 schemes, each contains about 10 views and alias of 50 or more.

The problem is that I can't reverse engineer aliases.

Such a thing is possible? Or should recreate us all aliases defined in the form of views?

    Kind regards
    Ivan

I imported the RKM SQL (JYTHON) KM and it works with table aliases as well... only the downside is I can't select them, I have to specifically name in the mask.

  • Mixture of sizes of RAM - consequences?

More than a test of consistency than anything else. I have 1620V3 Xeon with 4x4GB 2133 Mhz RAM bars. I want t0 upgrade to 32 GB total, but there is a significant price difference between adding 4x4GB sticks (much more expensive), more 2 x 8 GB sticks above. I also like the fact that this last while being cheaper leaves 2 slots free for the future upgrade if necessary. However there will be performance problems with a 6 stick configuration of sticks 4x4Go and 2 x 8 GB?

I think it should be good, but I have always matched RAM evenly across 4 to 8 locations and do not want to create an unexpected bottleneck.

    Thank you

Certainly do not run just 2 sticks of different density with 4 sticks of 4 GB. Boards currently supporting asynchronous timings but do not manage well since the memory controller is in the processor. Then on top of that ram models have different chip maker with timings of sup of different latency, resulting in a number of issues. You're better replace the sticks of 4 GB with 8 GB sticks. At least you want sticks 4 x 4 GB to add to what you have, but you need get the same ram as the current model and hope that the chips are compatible with chips in current ram since Dimm manufacturers change chips often cycle in production cycle of production. On all the only reliable method to upgrade in this situation is to replace the current sticks with brand-new ram of the same model and production. Unfortunately, it is the volatility of the market in the production of ram chips.

  • DATAEXPORT and rule files

I have a requirement where I export data demand A projections and it powers the B application. Both applications are different so I do all my mapping using rule files. In my calculation script, I'm specifying months to be exported to & CurrMonth:Dec in my statement of FIX and lets say that the year is FY11.

When I export data using DATAEXPORT it gives me period in colums... i.e. initially that I export all the 12 months of data he gave me data for the 12 months in the columns so I traced each column with a month in my rules file. It was working fine and imported in the right place.

But now since I only need the current month data to reduce the number of exported months according to the current month will be different every time. So, how I prepare the rules file so that it is satisfactory data for some months come in and recognizes what months are imported? It will be a pain if we will need to prepare the rule files each month and set up the mapping for the months to come in.

Please let me know if there is a way to make it easier and more effective. Any ideas are appreciated.

    Kind regards
    ~ Hervé

I think that you can just create a file of false data with a single record load but every 12 months. You can read that in your data load rule and retrieve columns to appear and then match.

Throw the folder and now to apply the amended rule file to your sometimes a month, then two, then three, etc. etc, load the file.

I will note that ETL in a file of data load is a bit dangerous to venture somewhere: I've been bitten by that firmly and painfully. A better (although Yes, more complicated and more expensive) way to achieve this is to export to SQL and make your transformations with a view, or, breathless, in one product as a ODI ETL. If I were in your position, I would write emails explain to everyone that if I do ETL in a State of charge, it is only because someone who held a gun to my head. Yes, I don't really like to do ETL in a State of charge.

  • Vmware Server 2 has expired, comments not working

    Hi people,

I tested vmware these past two months to install it in the future to our customer base servers. I installed Vmware Server 2 in a Debian 4.0 to run Debian 4.0 guests, and my experience is good even a few crash problem cpu 2 (but this is another war...). I love the web administration and options are nice and soft.

But, today, I have a problem and I feel scared to think what might happen if the server has been installed on client servers: I removed a snapshot and after he hung my VM 20 minutes I stop the server. Now, when I run the virtual machine, I get an expired product error (but I have vmware server 2-0?, see photo to fix on the foot message). I get an expired error if I create a new virtual machine too. Hello

You're missing what they say, I'll try to explain.

    RC = Release candidate. (pre-release)

GA = general availability (final version)

The product cycle is generally as follows:

    Beta 1: duration limited

    Beta 2: duration limited

    Beta N: limited time

    RC 1: limited time

    RC 2: limited time

    GA: without time constraints

Beta have a time constraint on them to ensure that support doesn't get bogged down support request non-final code, it also protects the client to run in an unsupported configuration.

The final product version is not limited in time. 122956 version is the 2nd release of the GA version. So no RC2, but GA2

If I'm not wrong then, GA1 was version 116503

Here is an article which explains the publication of the whole software lifecycle more depth: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beta_version

Regarding Acrobat is really a throw in. It is not an application on in the same direction as the rest of the applications. There is not Acrobat CS3. The current version is Acrobat 9. Acrobat is on a different production cycle, and if the past is any indication, Acrobat 10 will probably be released about 6 months before the Creative Suite 5.
