  • My lightroom program will not launch

    Hi lesterb82249009,

We would like to know if you get this configuration error 16 again when you launch Lightroom, or this time, it's just a spinning wheel at the launch of the cloud Lightroom or creator?

You can check that if Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application does not open or shows a spinning wheel of progress and if you have tried all the steps in Adobe Creative Suite or Adobe Creative Cloud Configuration Error , I recommend you contact the customer service.

  • First & AE CC will not launch/answer on the new iMac

I bought a new iMac the week last in order to realize a video project.

I'm on OS 10.9 and installed Premiere Pro and after effects CC trials yesterday.

NEITHER program will complement the launch with the "Admin User" account, which I imported from my old Mac, but they are GOING to launch and operate very well in a NEW account "Admin User" as a test, I created.

I ran the Adobe CLEANER, uninstall and reinstall BOTH programs and the Office of Adobe of CC. No luck.

    This is what happens:

First spend a few minutes trying to run... and then fails.  The graphic launch is sitting there for a few minutes, then it looks like it could make progress.  "ExporterQuickTimeHost.bundle" hits the progress screen, loading and after 30 seconds of this 'Adobe Premiere Pro CC close unexpectedly.' "."

After Effects gives an error at launch

    "After effects warning: cannot rename the file ' / users/drleek/Library/Preferences/Adobe/After Effects/12.1/Workspaces.2147.1407351242514081.xml' to 'Workspaces.xml'. '.

    with an additional error

"After that the effects cannot continue: unexpected failure during the application startup.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hey blankenship and cmiller815,.

Not sure if you already have the correction of a problem, but I had the same problem you described and managed to find a solution.  I tried all the troubleshooting steps described in this discussion; deleting the prefs, uninstalling, re-installing, etc..  and the answer was to go to the folder in the prefs/users/username/Library/Preferences/Adobe/After Effects/12.1/Workspaces.2147.1407351242514081.xml' and to set the permissions to allow read and write for all users on the machine on the main folder of 12.1.  I should add that I've also run a permissions repair using disk utility thinking that it would solve my problem, but it didn't.  It seems that for some reason any permissions I seeds after having my data migration with migration to my new iMac assistant.

I was invited to try it out because of this thread http://forums.adobe.com/message/5863018#5863018

I hope this helps and that understand you your question.

  • Installed program will not launch...

I recently got a card sports collecting software USB drive for my birthday.  I managed to install the program on my laptop, but when I click on the icon on my desktop, the program does not start (an hourglass appears for a moment and then nothing).

    More details:

    1. I was able to install and run the program on another computer without problem, so the USB is fine.

    2. my laptop running Windows 7

    3. If you want to try to fix it myself, I ran a Malware program, ran a virus scan and updated Java and Windows - none worked.

I am in obvious need of a person with Kung-Fu more than me...  Anyone has any suggestions so that I can start enjoying my birthday present?

. Error 1542 can be associated with a corrupt user profile. Maybe it's that your user profile that you have installed the program under a a 'problem' somehow.

You could try to remove the program, creating a new profile with a new password of Admin, restart and install the program under this new profile, and see if it runs then.

    But it's a strange?

  • No program will run/launch. Error "the application failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect."

    Hey guys,.

So the title pretty much says it all. When I connect to Windows Explorer of my profile does not even start. I have to manually start explorer.exe. I looked through my files and they are still intact, but for some reason when Windows is supposed to be the start nothing runs, making it so that I can't run any of my programs. Someone has encountered this problem before?

    Hi Mark,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

This occurs on computers that are not Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 installed.

Install the latest Windows service pack and all the Windows updates available and check if it has already solved the problem.

If this does not help, turn off User Account Control (UAC) Windows.

Open user account control settings by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type uac, and then click change user account control settings.

To turn off UAC, move the slider to never notify it the position, and then click OK. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. You need to restart your computer for UAC to fade.

You can also check: What are user account control settings?

Now download and install one of the following options, depending on which architecture you are running:

Note: Make sure that you install only the 2008 version of the Redistributable Package SP1 since later versions.

Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.

If you need search malware here's my recommendations - they will allow you to
scrutiny and the withdrawal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running

    the cause.

No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy
to detect malicious software often comes with a much harder to detect and remove the payload. Then
its best to be thorough than paying the high price later now too. Check with them to one

The Adobe Desktop installation program will not load the app screen tab, all I see is the loading icon and runs continuously without ever loading. All the other tabs seem to load without any delay, only the app tab does not load. • Problem correct launch of sequences shortcut on the desktop file

I created a shortcut on the desktop that runs successfully a sequence file.  The icon I have chosen was "C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\TestStand 3.5\UserInterfaces\Full-Featured\LabVIEW\TestExec.exe".  The problem is the following:

I have several set up desktop shortcuts to launch multiple sequence files.

If the operator closes TestStand before closing the current file in the sequence, by activating another shortcut, TestStand opens with the previous sequence file loaded.  The file in the correct sequence is displayed in the ListBox on the left of the screen; However, the file of the previous sequence is loaded.  This will inevitably cause confusion with the operator.

    Any ideas will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    2 options:

    1. tell the users to close the sequence when they are made by choosing File > close all files of sequence and executions.  TestStand remembers the last sequence which was open.  He re - opens there next time that TestStand gets run.

    2. change the source code of TestExec.exe close the file in sequence on farm.  Or do not remember the open movie file.  If you are using the full user interface, you want to look in the VI called Full UI - configure Application Manager.vi which is called UI - full Initialize.vi.  You will see a property with ReloadSequenceFilesOnStart node.  Change the enum to ReloadFile_All to ReloadFile_None.  Rebuild the exe file, and then deploy it.  You will have to look for it if you use the Simple graphic interface, but it will be the same property node.

If you go with several it's more work for you, but then you don't have the problem of the operators running the wrong test on WEAR it wrong.  Option 1 is a matter of training.

  • All programs list - moved shortcut on the desktop, but want to add back to the list of all programs

I moved a shortcut from the list of all programs on the desktop.  I would like to keep the shortcut on the desktop, but also restore on all programs.  How can I do this?  I tried drag-and-drop and Windows Explorer without success.  Topic is not found in help.  Windows XP Professional SP3.

the visual office includes folders and you can copy the shortcut via Solution Explorer.

simply right-click on the Start button and select open.

Explorer opens on the behalf of users.

If you look closely, you will see a folder called desktop.

    find the shortcut, then copy.

Find the folder of programs all then drill down to the subfolder you want and paste the shortcut in him.

You can also use the above method to organize your desktop.

Incidentally, do not play with the admin folder or all users.

    Hi subhshy001,

Welcome to the Microsoft Windows answers Forum community!

Try this if you do not have

Windows Explorer to create the folders and shortcuts in your document folder, drag and drop them on your desktop.

If you have completed the steps and was not even useful,

    Follow these steps:

Try to create a shortcut and sending it on the desktop.

    (1) open: Start Menu ,.
    (2) right-click: Internet Explorer icon .
    (3) select: send to > desktop (create shortcut).

There should be a shortcut on the desktop .

Make sure that the "show desktop icon" has a check against it

    OR

Just click on the empty part of the desktop, choose new > then select the folder to create. Right click on this folder , select Rename it.

If the steps above do not work then:

You can scan your computer for malware.

You can download, install and update anti-malware free of your favorite search engine and find malware.

If the scan comes back clean, so I recommend doing a System File Checker too l to analyze your OS system files.

To help resolve this problem, use the tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. open an elevated command prompt . To do this, click Start , click principally made programs , Accessories , right-click guest , and then click run as administrator .  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow .
    2. type the following command and press ENTER: sfc/scannow (Yes there is a space after sfc) the sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions. This analysis do take some time to complete.

    Hope this information helped!
