Q:micro SD for FRDM-K64

Hello

I want to install Java ME 8.1 on my FRDM-K64 Board and according to the installation guide I need a Micro SD 4 GB memory card (using an SDHC card is not recommended). I'm really bad find such a card, maybe someone knows where I can buy one. I tried RadioShack, BestBuy and Frys with no luck. Will it work with a bigger map?

Thank you

Andy

Yes, Andy, they are virtually impossible to find.

The design of the non - HC is an older technology.

Wave memory (and I'm not going beyond a generic Google search) is that both cards have a different density structure.

I came across this same kind of problem a couple of years with an MP3 player--> SD unnamed worked while SDHC failed.

As I type this, the website of Newegg has three and only three available for sale.

The microcenter website and website of TigerDirect have a few available in the US (your reference to Radio Shack suggests that you are there).

Other people will have to answer to let you knoe if a HC card will work.   I don't know about that.

    Works very well

It is exactly what I bought (a lot cheaper when I bought it)

But it is well worth it.

  • expansion card MAX capacity micro SD for Sansa e280v2 with firmware 03.01.14

You just buy Sansa e280v2 with firmware 03.01.14 and try to buy the expansion micro SD card. Found all kinds of answers here on the forum of "anything over 2 GB will work" to "up to 32 GB is OK". So, that is it 2 or 32? Moreover, makes card manufacturer questions? What is important to search the map?

I'll take the class 6 to off the mark on the class name brand 4 If the prices are the same.  Check the small print, too.  In particular, look for the actual reading and writing speeds listed for cards, if this information is available.  If the seller does not list a lot of detailed information, try the manufacturer's website.  I think that the writing speed is more important than speed reading, as it will be when writing files on the card are you more likely to get impatient waiting for the transfer at the end.

If I were you I would go ahead and update to firmware 3.01.16, too.  It could have been a related bug fixes SD card.

  • I have Trend Micro antivirus for Windows 7, but I'm told it's not compatible with Mozilla 9.1, how to get an older version or to adapt?

I use a computer laptop, just reinstalled everything and now have Firefox 9.1 and tells me that is not compatible with my antivirus, Trend Micro Titanium. I am running Windows 7.

This situation should not come up again with future versions of Firefox. From Firefox 10.0 (to be released Jan 31 Mar) modules will be assumed to be compatible with the new version of Firefox and they will be not disabled, as in the past. Well sure, if an add-on does not work correctly or totally screws to the top of Firefox, it is up to the user to sort only the cottages, with a little help from those of us who provide Firefox support.

  • Should I have Trend Micro Security for my Mac?

I have a Macbook Pro - vintage 2008, OSX - El Capitan, 10.11.4 Version: it seems that I got Trend Micro Security - and it is now expired.  My husband has a Macbook Air, and it don't think I need this package.  Tel - it is good?

    It is difficult to answer.

I personally would say, no you don't need one.

But I do not know you and your experiences.

There will be time, hackers will come to apple more so now the question should be to you even once, you are ready to risk to be dangerous?

    Only you can decide.

  • Installation of mIDlet FRDM K64 Council

    Hello

I have a problem with the installation of the MIDlet. I tried to do this by ams or Netbeans but the same result, connection with edge (ethernet or serial communication) down and not clear installation was completed or not. If put SD card on PC and open java folder I can see all of the files. Also, sometimes in the AMS after 'ams-list' Command Council console freeze.

How understanding is installed? Why communication goes down?

    Hello

Thanks a lot for your comments.

The connection of the tooling can be unstable, but this does not mean that it does not at all. I have not met personally no problem with my projects. SD card may cause such problems. Try to replace it with another and continue to experiment with Java ME Embedded

  • Newbie should check the Info for the new micro SD card, please

I need to get a new card micro SD for my Fuze: 4G, ver 01.002.31A

    1. from a few thrreads here (great fun btw), it seems that my old Fuze will manage up to 32 G card, right?

    2. any ability of the card, there is a limit to how many files as the database in the firmware (?) rocket can handle; seems to be about 5000 files. However, the files that number depends in part on things like the amount of tag information are: more big tags = fewer files. More or less. Fix?

3 class card: from what I've read, more class (2, 4, 6, etc.) faster map. I don't think that the "rocket" will make much use of the extra speed, will it?

    4. given that some of the slower cards become harder to find, the "rocket" will struggle with faster cards, or that it will be OK with, say, a class 4, which seems to be common these days.

    Right on each count.

I have no problem with class 4.

As long as you're going crazy trying to overload the map, and your tags are skinny and average, you should be fine.

If you are not running within the limits, there are always Rockbox to www.rockbox.org .

  • Slate 7 impossible to insert the sandisk ultra 32 GB micro sd class10

I bought a sandisk ultra 32 GB micro SD class 10 SKU SDSDQU - 032 G-CFAP-out of amazon. When I insert in my 7 slate and push on to try to get to the spring to engage and the drive to go it is not. I can't get the SD card to stay in and I feel a spring, but it won't click to take the SD
Is this a compatibility problem because I bought the bad micro SD for the 7 slate or I do something wrong to load? Or my new slate had a defect?

    Any help greatly appreciated

    Thank you
    GK

Make sure that you are pressing far enough. It will not be flush with the edge of the device; It is accidental ejection/loss of the microSD card. You may need to use your nail, on a credit card, or small flat-head screwdriver. (I can do that easily with a fingernail and mine are short, but others have reported that it is a little challenging).

  • I want to edit the partitions on a micro SD card

I have a Raspberry Pi 2B model I want to start on the boot on its micro SD card partition, then run the command Linux Raspian of the partition root on a USB Flash drive. (The ' file commandline.txt is replaced by direct run from the USB after booting linux.

I made an image file Raspbian Linux on my MBPro and created a micro SD for the raspberry Pi card and verified that it works correctly in the Pi.

I also have a picture of Raspbian Linux on a USB 32Gig.

My trouble lies in the use of BSD Unix and Mac disk utility tools. In particular, I can't use the 'fdisk' UNIX to remove the partition root of the micro SD card and I can not use BSD UNIX 'fdisk' too remove the 'boot' partition in the USB Flash drive.

I don't have another card reader that I can connect it to the Pi, or I could use the Linux 'fdisk' to remove the required partitions.

    Any suggestions?

Have you tried using fdisk in the Terminal? I doubt he'll do anything you want, but it does not support dumping the partition table.
