Installation of mIDlet FRDM K64 Council

Hello

I have a problem with the installation of the MIDlet. I tried to do this by ams or Netbeans but the same result, connection with edge (ethernet or serial communication) down and not clear installation was completed or not. If put SD card on PC and open java folder I can see all of the files. Also, sometimes in the AMS after 'ams-list' Command Council console freeze.

How understanding is installed? Why communication goes down?

Hello

Thanks a lot for your comments.

The connection of the tooling can be unstable, but this does not mean that it does not at all. I have not met personally no problem with my projects. SD card may cause such problems. Try to replace it with another and continue to experiment with Java ME Embedded

    Hello

    I want to install Java ME 8.1 on my FRDM-K64 Board and according to the installation guide I need a Micro SD 4 GB memory card (using an SDHC card is not recommended). I'm really bad find such a card, maybe someone knows where I can buy one. I tried RadioShack, BestBuy and Frys with no luck. Will it work with a bigger map?

    Thank you

    Andy

    Yes, Andy, they are virtually impossible to find.

    The design of the non - HC is an older technology.

    Wave memory (and I'm not going beyond a generic Google search) is that both cards have a different density structure.

    I came across this same kind of problem a couple of years with an MP3 player--> SD unnamed worked while SDHC failed.

    As I type this, the website of Newegg has three and only three available for sale.

    The microcenter website and website of TigerDirect have a few available in the US (your reference to Radio Shack suggests that you are there).

    Other people will have to answer to let you knoe if a HC card will work.   I don't know about that.

  • Windows XP SP3 - reader DVD - RW 'Incorrect function' on blank CD

    I get an 'Incorrect function' error on both of my readers of DVD - RW on Windows XP. I investigated the issue for a few days and came away empty-handed.

    1. I tried to delete upper/lower filters in the registry. This helped to ensure that they are detected but nothing else.

    2. I tried to update the drivers for the two drives via firmware update. This makes them as readers of DVD - RW instead of just the CD players, but I still haven't burn the ability.

    3. I tried to edit the registry in order to see a 'Registration' tab on the properties of the drive. Even after that change it, the tab never appears. I tried to switch between settings (1, 2 or 3) between each of the two drives, but it makes no difference in the combination.

    4. I ran various "Fix - Its", including one that claimed that the two discs were not able to burn. See #4.

    4. I tested two drives with third-party software, and they work much like the burners. However, the vendor I work with that requires Windows to be able to do the burning. I worked with them and they insist the problem is on my end and revealed no useful. I'll assume it's Windows and not their own software which poses problem.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    If they are IDE drives, SATA, make sure that the jumper pins are correct, if so,

    uninstall both in device mgr, restart, once thru, output, pc shutdown.

    Move the connections on a different IDE slot, reset the pins of the rider as needed, restart

    PC. XP will reinstall their restart. If the connection of different worked, cable

    or card controller pc are bad... In addition, update the chipset installation software

    for the Council, it gives xp drivers software to work properly...

    Please follow the instructions below and then tell me what happens.

    First of all, let us make sure that your computer has the latest Windows updates, especially of .net framework, necessary to run many applications and the latest Java.

    I recommend that you use these settings to the recommended wireless router for better communications.

    Unplug your printer. Download and run this patch to completely remove the printer from your computer. Run the fix, a MUST on Vista machines, until it prompts you to restart your computer.

    If you use Windows 7 also try... Driver Manual printer removal

    Restart your computer.

    Download the correct drivers.

    XP drivers

    Vista 32-bit drivers

    64-bit drivers

    All other drivers

    Install the appropriate drivers. You will be asked when connect you your printer (power on)

    To install the drivers, sometimes the file decompresses and does nothing. You must find the setup.exe file, right-click on it, then on the left click on run as administrator *.

    If you use Windows 7, use the Vista drivers in compatibility mode.

    Right click on the file setup.exe, on the left, click Properties, compatibility of the left click. Replace the Vista compatibility (try Vista SP2). Then, install the appropriate drivers. You will be asked when connect (printer)

    To install the drivers, sometimes the file decompresses and does nothing. You must find the setup.exe file, right-click on it, then on the left click on run as administrator *.

    In the digitization, if you have the disc that came with the printer, and then insert the floppy disk to the printer and keep it from running. Go to my computer and double-click it. Locate the drive that contains the disk Dell inside. Right-click on it, left click Explore. Find the folder of the OCR. In the OCR folder, there is a folder of Abbyy. Right click on setup.exe, which is located in the folder Abbyy and left, click Run as administrator. This will install the OCR program.

    Scanning

    Scan using the USB connection, open the Dell all-in-one Center, click on the scan and copy and scan from there.

    Scan wireless, use the buttons to scan on the printer.

    Rick

    Reformatting the hard drive and reinstall windows 7 has done the trick. This really delete all the driver files! With a clean machine, I was able to install the printer without problem in Vista SP2 compatibility mode. Not only so, but the other two Windows 7 PCs on my network domestic also saw the printer and installed it.

    It seems that the uninstall utility doesn't work unless you install the drivers correctly. If, as many of us have done, the drivers are installed without using the compatibility mode there are some files that get somewhere the uninstall program cannot reach. I just checked the section of drivers from the support page and can find no reference to installation in compatibility mode, the Council States that it is compatible and install the Vista driver. Always if Dell puts in place all the information, it should would probably be no need for forums like this.

    Just a pity that it took a format and reinstallation of the entire system to operate. Live and learn

    see you soon

  • CTS telephone operational status

    Hello

    I'm trying to monitor the operating condition of the IP phone connected to a CTS-1300 via SNMP, however I found that the MIB (MIB-TELEPRESENCE-CISCO) related to this material does not deal specifically of this requirement.

    As far as I could test, ctpPeripheralStatus (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.643.1.2.1.1.3) would indicate only the attached status but not telepresence-ready status, which in turn is somewhat different from the point of view of the CallManager (registered/not registered), given that the phone could be registered to CUCM and actually not OK to take calls.

    So what I found an empirical point of view, it is that readiness is obtained when the phone has successfully downloads and installs the MIDlet, which in turn is reflected in the election of the MIB extraction ctpPeripheralDescription (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.643.1.2.1.1.2):

    ctpPeripheralDescription

    ISO.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.643.1.2.1.1.2.2 = STRING: "IP_PHONE - MACAddress = AABBCCDDEE, HostName = SEPAABBCCDDEE, PhoneDN = 1000, AppLoadID = jar75sip.9 - 2-1TH1 - 13.sbn,

    BootLoadID = tnp75.8 - 3-4 - 16BN01.bin, Version = SIP75.921 S, HardwareRevision = 11.0,

    SerialNumber = ABC12345XYZ, ModelNumber = CP - 7975 G,MidletVersion = Transport SPM - 1.8.1 - P1 - 1s"

    ctpPeripheralStatus

    ISO.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.643.1.2.1.1.3.2 = INTEGER: 0

    CtpPeripheralStatusCode: = TEXTUAL-CONVENTION

    Current STATUS

    DESCRIPTION

    "The textual convention identifies the State of the device.

    noError (0).

    Expected device works through

    the port is attached.

    ctpPeripheralDeviceCategory

    ISO.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.643.1.2.1.1.4.2 = INTEGER: 3

    CtpPeripheralDeviceCategoryCode ::= TEXTUAL-CONVENTION
        STATUS          current
        DESCRIPTION
            "The textual convention identifies the peripheral type.
            unknown              (0)  -- Unknown Device
            other                (1)  -- None of the listed device
            uplinkDevice         (2)  -- Device attached to CTS uplink port
            ipPhone              (3)  -- IP phone

    If ctpPeripheralDescription display the software of the phone listed, then it is good. Maybe the status OK/not OK seen through CTS GUI is displayed after an assessment of this kind?

    I have already laid around and did some additional tests along, but apparently it's the only way to properly assert via SNMP simple, if the phone does not work correctly.

    Is there another way to check this?

    Thanks in advance,

    Gabriel

    Hello Gabriel,

    Since you had no response, and yet I'm scanning my archives of memory and what you have concluded matches what is in the MIB, RFC and Message to SNMP trap doc for the CTS systems:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/Telepresence/cucm_cts/cucm_cts_admin_book/guide/cucm_cts_admin_mibs.html

    The displayed phone charge, version midlet and the status of noError (0) of the ipPhone (3) should coincide with no error in the GUI and the phone successfully, showing the midlets and ready for telepresence.

  • file zip of ESXi 5?

    Hello

    With the help of the host update utility I'm trying to upgrade a host esxi 4.0 to 5.0. He asks the 5.0 file zip, but all I can find are the .iso files. I have the lack somewhere?

    With vCenter Server/Update Manager 5 in place which is the recommended option, the other option is an interactive upgrade using the ESXi 5.0 installation CD.

    Two Councils, however.

    • ESXi 4.0 Update 2 is not compatible with vCenter Server 5, so if use this version and plan to upgrade the server vCenter Server, you must first upgrade the hosts for example ESXi 4.0 update 3. See http://kb.vmware.com/kb/2007269
    • If the hosts have already been updated since version 3.5, you cannot upgrade to ESXi 5.0.

    Please take a look at the guide to upgrade for more details.

    http://pubs.VMware.com/vSphere-50/topic/com.VMware.ICbase/PDF/vSphere-ESXi-vCenter-Server-50-upgrade-guide.PDF

    André

    PS: in all cases, you must upgrade to vCenter Server to version 5 before moving hosts!

    Hello

    Go to the free support, however check in Windows updates to see if it is already installed and also the
    KB article to see if you still need (and there is a good change that you do not and that is why it will not
    install - it happens).

    It's this update

(I have also see the message "this application does not contain a signature. (It is not a reliable source"when I already signed the request)

    Oh, it was a CLDC application

    It happened because I used the wrong file when loading OTA - it should be instead of .jar .jad

    On the issue of 'half of the lost functions', it's because one of my sons would not start until the powerUp() method has been discharged - it wouldn't happen because the unit will not restart when installing OTA.

    I made the false assumption that everyone settle down with Desktop Manager and the device would always restart - which is not true.

  • jar converted to cod - a newer version of my midlet does not appear on my curve
