Qosmio F10-130 PQF10E will not start up - hangs in the loop

I have a Toshiba Qosmio PQF10E-02300JGR, I had again for a few years now.

The other day when I was working on this subject, he himself rebooted & then would not come back to the top (just got a blank screen & then it restarts itself on & many times)

I have a couple of older versions of Windows XP on the hard drive, I thought maybe it was a Windows Update has screwed something, but none of these older versions not work either. It just gives a black screen & then after a few moments, automatically restarts. I managed to start in safe mode to disable the auto restart (Control Panel, system, advanced, startup & recovery options, restart automatically), it gave me a BSOD with a "STOP: 0x000000EA on nv4_disp device driver got stuck in an infinite loop. I realize it's the NVidia graphics driver.

While in safe mode to copy several files to USB stick, that I had not saved, the screen itself distorted when I moved the mouse, the fan (on, I assume that the mobo) started making funny noises & then hung the whole machine.

I guess I need the graphics card & phone replaced, but is it useful? How much usually cost to replace this & works the 'upgrade '. I live in the United Kingdom

Should I buy a replacement laptop instead?

Thank you.

Hi mate

I think you're right. It seems that s laptop graphics card is malfunctioning.
To my knowledge, it is not possible to replace only the GPU, it seems that the ASP would replace the whole motherboard, and this can really be a costly affair.
The mobo is a laptop computer cheap party! I think that you will need to spend about 300-350 Euros I n don't know if it s worth s you own decision

But in my opinion, you should check first if you can buy a second hand card that could be cheaper
Maybe you will find a second hand F10 with a good mobo

  • Qosmio F10 - Media library does not start

    Hello

I have a Qosmio F10. My media library does not start.
I get the message the application did not work properly. OK to close the application

Someone please advice me what to do.
    Thanks in advance.

I agree with Akuma. At the end you must install new OS. As already wrote Akuma, back up all your important data and use recovery for any new OS install media.

It is a radical method, but most effective. ;)

  • Computer will not start normally - boots to the BIOS boot screen

Hi, today I had problems on my computer and it will not start normally upward. This started happening today. When I turn on the monitor, the HP logo appears on a blue screen (as usual), but then, there are a lot of vertical white lines grouped perfectly on the screen (it's never happened before) he started to arrive yesterday. and when I try to start it, there is just a black screen for a long time and sometimes the system recov appears but it takes SO long to finish so I just stopped and went into safe mode and did a quick scans with Malwarebytes, MS Security Essentials and SUPERAntiSpyware, but they are all come clean except SUPER which came with a few things from tracking cookies...

Today, I have scanned a full scan with malwarebytes and it says that there is no infection.

can someone help me? I'm at the library atm! Thank you!

Picture of the blue screen with lines here: http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/8583/post1278441253416372.jpg

also - im wondering how to start with recov disks? I have two drives but only as on slot dvd thing and I know to start upward with her? should I boot with it because the layout is a little down? and I don't have an installation disc windows vista then Yes.

    Thank you very much!

    Hello Winston,

According to the image that you posted, it seems that the blue screen is a blue screen with the HP logo on the subject.

If this is the case, then the machine has not yet reached Windows and is suspended in the machine Power On Self Test.

My recommendation for this scenario is to contact HP about what there is something at the level of the material / process/firmware BIOS which prevents the machine to get it to start Windows Vista.

Let us know what they have to say.

    Best regards

  • (Redirected) Alienware X 51 R2 will not start. Repair of the system sees no HARD drive

    Hey,.

My X 51 died and I can't get it to work. Looking for suugestions.

After months of random boot errors and re-formatting my HARD drive a few times it will not start upward. It starts either error that says "no found boot device" or it goes to a screen of "diagnosis" of dell alien ware which basically ends with a message saying either

    -reboot again

-Advanced options > recovery cd, repair, ect.

When I try to use the windows recovery CD 7 he does not see HARD drive (no HARD drive installed, that it is, I reinstalled it a few times too to make sure it was not a coward).

-J' have a HARD drive, usb drive, and when I took out the HARD drive I can access my files NP via laptop, so I'm not confident, that's my HARD drive which * out.

Now, before all this happened, I had to reformat my computer because it was literally so slow it would take like 5 minutes to open a folder (potential virus or something I don't know) and me random boot errors.

Someone at - he had a similar experience?

  • My computer will not start, getting warning that the iertutil.dll is missing for Internet Explorer

Anyone know how to fix this problem? I get a warning saying that the iertutil.dll file is missing for internet explore. When I start my computer, all I get is my screensaver with no office. The only way I can continue any part of my computer is to go to alt del to get to the control task manager.

Do you mean you see a message like this:

Explorer.EXE - unable to locate component
This application has failed to start because iertutil.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

That file should never be missed and it takes an extra effort to remove it on purpose because there are one of 3498 files who cares about Protection of file Windows (WFP).

If explorer.exe is not running, all you will see is your screen background image.

The file is in this folder (assuming that XP is installed on your C drive):

    c:\Windows\System32

Since you can get into the Task Manager do the following:

Since the Task Manager, click file, new task (run...) and then click Browse and navigate to this folder:

    c:\Windows\System32\dllcache

If you are unable to find or do not see the dllcache folder, because your system is not configured to display hidden files and folders, simply type the path to the folder name in the "Open:" box

    c:\Windows\System32\dllcache

Make sure the "Files of type" box is set to show all files (or you will not see any), and then click OK to display all files.

Locate copy the iertutil.dll file backup in the folder c:\windows\system32\dllcache, made a right click and copy and go back up a folder c:\windows\system32, right-click in an empty area and paste the file there.  Answered in the affirmative if invited to replace the existing file.

If you can't find the file in the dllcache folder (should be), depending on your installation, there may be a copy of the file on your system in this folder:

    c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386

If you find there, copy the file missing from there and paste it where it belongs

It is possible that some malicious software or your antivirus/antimalware indeterminate quarantined (actually deleted) the right file and the backup copy of which must be in the dllcache folder.

In this case, you can download a copy of my SkyDrive and use networks disks (on foot) to bring it to the system afflicted on a USB key or a floppy disk.

You may be able to 'Run' iexplore.exe in the Task Manager to get on the Internet and just download it.

I downloaded a copy of XP Pro SP3 file you need on my SkyDrive (everyone has a SkyDrive for file sharing).

You can download it and when you do, place a copy of the file in these two folders (assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive):

    c:\Windows\System32
c:\Windows\System32\dllcache (this is where XP keeps backups of important files).

Here is the link to my SkyDrive and you can get the file you need here:

    http://CID-6a7e789cab1d6f39.SkyDrive.live.com/redir.aspx?RESID=6A7E789CAB1D6F39! 311

When you see the files available for download, you will not see the extension of file (.exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, etc), but when download you them they will have the right extension.

When you download the file (especially if you use Internet Explorer), when you get a chance to save the file, it cannot save the file with an extension (for example, .exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys) then you will need to manually add the extension appropriate to the file when you download the file before you save it.

You can download the file without the extension, and then rename the file to add the appropriate extension.  You do not want to use a file called rundll32 when the name of the file should really be called rundll32.exe (if the downloaded file has no extension, you will need to change the name of the file to add the appropriate extension to make it work.

You then put the downloaded files in the correct folders on your system.

That may not solve all your problems, but at least you will be spending this part and we can then fix the rest.

Since it is all very suspicious to meI would follow with this:

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs at:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
They can be uninstalled later if you wish.
Restart your computer and solve the outstanding issues.

    Method 1:

First of all I suggest you to disconnect all devices external one except keyboard and mouse and try to start your computer and check.

    Method 2:

    Follow the steps below:

    a. Please insert the Windows Vista DVD and restart the computer.
    b. when we are asked to press a key to boot from the DVD, please press enter or the SPACEBAR.
    c. Select your language settings, and then click Next.
    d. click on repair your computer.
    e. Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
    f. in the System Recovery Options menu, click Startup Repair. Startup Repair can invite you to make choices as it tries to solve the problem, and if necessary, it may restart your computer, because it makes the repairs.

  • Tecra S1 does not start and hangs at the splash screen (boot)

    Tecra S1 model PT831E-107EQ-GR

Problems started a month ago. Randomly, he didn't not started. After some power or off attempts it finally started and worked properly. I bought a new hard drive (Toshiba 40 GB) because it happened more often. I got Acronis True Image and planned to clone a disk to the new disk. The problem is that a cell phone now won't start any more so I can't boot from a CD or hard drive. It stops at the logo 'In Touch... "with text" Press [F12] for boot device selection menu ' and does not react any key. I tried to boot with no CD, no disk hard - the same thing. I also connected internal HD using ATA to USB adapter - even. This means that it is not a disk problem but motherboard, or other components? Is it possible to get into the BIOS before boot selection screen?

    Kind regards
    Jacek

    Hello Jacek

Try to enter the BIOS to ESC settings initially upwards.
The question is strange and I do not think that anyone here can offer the exact diagnosis. The fact is, you can use multiple bootable devices but if there is something wrong with the motherboard HARD drive CD/DVD doesn't work. CD/DVD or HARD disk controller is maybe defective.

Had a blue screen and when I start Windows wants to run in safe mode. But this takes place for a few seconds and then stops with a blank screen (this is for more than 2 hours).
If I choose to start windows normally the system reboots just to repair windows screen.

I'm not a Windows vista recovery disc has been pre-installed. Clues?

    Hello

The reason is that Windows bootmanager or system files are corrupt. You say that you did a recovery disk, but what image of hard drive recovery (by pressing F8 at startup)? If it is already deleted, you must:

    1. order the recovery disk https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx Note, it is not free
2 a copy of Windows vista and install it. Then, download all the required drivers and enjoy.

  • Satellite Pro L300 will not start - cannot get into the BIOS

    Dear,

I got a satellite Pro L300, width a HARD drive partitioned, with Win XP installed C and D with Windows 7 installed, the problem is the following:

Days when I turned on my laptop, the OS splash screen appears, stop boot on Toshiba logo process.
In addition, I can't enter the BIOS with the F2 key or the Boot Manager by using the F12 key.

    Help, please.

    > stop boot on Toshiba logo process
This means that the laptop can not pass the POST (power on self test) properly and it would mean that a hardware problem has been detected on the motherboard.

Remove one of the modules RAM (check both) and try to turn on using a single module of RAM.
It is possible that one of the RAM modules is defective

It would also be possible that the motherboard is malfunctioning, as you can see, it is hard to say what role could be wrong, but what looks like a serious hardware failure

    Hi John,.

Given that the Compatibility Mode works not another option for you is to have installed XP Mode, if you run Windows 7 Professional or higher and your hardware can support virtualization.

  • Installed v7.0.0.118 on my Mac OS Mavericks Captivate.  It will not start.  What is the problem?

I bought a new Adobe Captivate 7 off EBay.  The software arrived unopened.  I installed it, registered with Adobe, entered serial number and everything seemed installs successfully.  The software installed to v7.0.0.118.  I found an update on the Adobe Web site and updated at v7.0.1.237.  But when I try to run the software, the icon bobs up and down in the dock for a few seconds, then disappears.  I am on Mac OS 10.9.3 (Mavericks).  Can anyone think of what the issue could be?

Never mind!  It must have taken a few minutes to kick Adobe registration.  Now, it seems to be running.
