Qosmio G10 - capture using WinDVD Creator

I'm unable to capture video using the s-video input and WinDVD Creator - I have connected my camcorder to the s-video port, but WinDVD Creator recognizes that nothing is played. Several users have advised by clicking on the icon key after running WinDVD Creator, but I tried to open it several times, by selecting a new project, and I do not see the icon key to little matter what I do.
I had the software on my computer for awhile. Did I miss something in the initial configuration? Should I reinstall?

Any help would be much appreciate.

See you soon
Raymond

  • Qosmio G30 - video input using WinDVD Creator and WinDVR 5 problems

    Hi all
My G30 (PQL32L) supplied with Windows MCE. It has preinstalled WinDVD Creator 2 and personally I install WinDVR 5 (application of part 3 came with my Plextor ConvertX PX-TV402U PVR).

    Problems:
1 WinDVD Creator 2: failed to set the TV system. I plugged my video source via the video cable (yellow, white, red) provided and connected to the AV-in port. I chose TV on the HARD drive for the new project. Default WinDVD defined as NTSC but my TV system is PAL. Therefore, input video quality is blurry and cut in two. Once I changed the setting in the software of PAL, the video screen turned black and no response. I have no problem with Qosmio Player with the same configuration of the connection.

2 5 WinDVR: Application can not start correctly (hang and cannot complete the program) I to my Plextor ConvertX PX-TV402U PVR TV source, then connect it via USB2.0 for G30. My ConvertX works in my office, but failed with the G30. The application cannot start properly and hung. No response yet I'm trying to complete the program, but the screen was always there. When I try to stop my G30 then Windows MCE hung at the "Closing Windows" screen. I have to stop by pressing the button. ConvertX being operation USB cable, it is not achievable in Qosmio.

Can someone help to solve these or give advice?

    Fine thanks
    Samuel

    Hello

I copied the film on my camcorder for Qosmio G30 (WXP MCE) without any problem and subsequently created the DVD using Ulead moviefactory program. I also tested it with VHS-recorder. Once again without any problem!

My camcorder was connected with firewire cable and it has been recognized correctly. VHS-recorder was connected with the aerial cable simply. I was able to record sources using Qosmioplayer (it was just to test because I'm interested, how it works). Movie from VHS-recorder was also possible to record using Media Center Edition.

I know I also tested it with pre-installed Win DVD Creator but camcorder has not been recognized as usual. If I remember well I put the TV source and that the camcorder is recognized correctly. To be honest I don't like this Win DVD Creator and I have not tested properly.

So I would like to know what your video source and what you hear in AV-in port.
Please tell me exactly what cable you use for audio/video data transfer and exact port on your Qosmio laptop?

  • Qosmio G10: Entry Composite and WinDVD creator

I have a Qosmio G10 and WinDVD creator 2, such that comes with the machine. I am trying to copy some old VHS tapes on my HDD using WinDVD creator and the composite entry next to the socket (connected on VHS by the SCART and supplied adapter)

WinDVDc is not see anything at all to record from, and even less the composite input (which works fine when I press the "input select" button right next to the adjustment of brightness on the machine screw). I cannot therefore see or record through my TV signal analog, which is near the top and works very well in MC. I can record using MC but trust the dvr - ms format it uses is not editable and is much too inflated.

I also tried to use nerovision for the same purpose, but I get an error message saying "capture device is already in use...". ».

Sorry if it's a question of intervideo, but Tosh forums seem more useful.

    Help!

    Hey Jake

Watch download drivers (the valid section for your model and OS) for a registry patch. Take a look also at the info for it. I think this should solve your problem. This means that you will get the Composite as a data source in WinDVD Creator valid entry.

    Good luck

You can change the quality settings as well. I looked on the site of Toshiba international and can't find it. In any case I hope this works for you all. There are a few release notes for the utility on the page as well. Good luck!

  • Qosmio G10: analog video capture camcorder

    Help, please

I'm new on this forum and the Canada. I bought a Qosmio G10 earlier this year, but had only one chance to try to use it to capture and convert my tapes of videographic V8 recently with no success.

I tried Toshiba support without hope. I tried the registery for creator VinDVD patch 2, but still he does not see my video input of the camera stream. I tried the two S-video and composite inputs with no result. Anyone with a similar experience?

    I appreciate your help.

    Hello

If you use the S-video in jack so be sure that it of really a s-video-in and not OUT port.
But the most important parameter is placed in the development picture Toshiba utility.
My friend had used the Qosmio months and this utility was preinstalled on your laptop.
That I myself can remember he was placed in the folder utilities from Toshiba. Anyway, look on your operating system for this tool.

Then enter the monitor input parameters. There you should be able to define the scope settings and select the external input parameters for video, camera, game etc

    I hope I could help

  • Qosmio G25: editing DV PAL using WinDVD

    Hello
Very happy with my Qosmio spec United States.
I have a lot of DV footage taken on a PAL camcorder with connectivity IEEE 1394/Firewire/I-link.
Anyone know if I'll be able to edit my video on the G25 using WINDVD?

    See you soon.

    Hello

Qosmios configuration unfortunately unknown us to me but like many I know WinDVD is just a DVD player.

I presume you can use InterVideo WinDVD Creator if the unit is installed with this application.

  • Qosmio G10-137: blue screen after re-install using Recovery CD

    Hi all

just got my qosmio G10-137 earlier this week after being under repair since the beginning of the month of January! Guys made the repair found no better then install the Dutch version of the operating system. I don't like this, then I took out my recovery CD and began the recovery. Everything works fine and I am asked to remove the media and reboot my PC.

This beautiful laptop to start early and... Blue screen of death. Restarts, wonder how to restart... count up to normal reboot... BSOD... restarts, wonder how... I choose "Safe Mode"... BSOD... I choose the mode safe mode with prompt... the system.ini file is missing!

It seems that the recovery CD is bogus.

If someone has encountered this? Does anyone have any resolution?

    Kind regards
    Wim

    Hello

It s very strange because the recovery CD was tested and install several times. It should work without any problems.
I put t know where you come from, but the service partner should install the Windows operating system in the same language. In this case, if you bought the device in Dutch the recovery CD and the OS are in the Dutch language.
Please note that you must use the same recovery CD that came with the device. Another recovery CD will not work.
What you can do is to test the unit with an original CD of Microsoft Windows. It would be very interesting to know if the blue screen appears with the original Windows.

Anyway, every software producer sets minimum hardware required for use of the software.

  • TV no longer works on Qosmio G10

    Hello

TV no longer works, may be due to an update. It worked OK before.
When you select the option 'Direct TV' with menu MCE TV, I get the following error: "files needed to display video are not installed or do not work properly, restart the computer or MCE. Restart MCE and / or G10 does not resolve the problem.
    -Intervideo WinDVD creator is installed.
-TV tuner PCI seems to work correctly (according to the condition of the equipment)

What files may be missing? What should I do?
    Any help, suggestions, appreciated.
Thanks to anyone replying to this message.

    Hello Luciano

As you know on this path it is not easy to give a precise answer because we don t know what did you do exactly with your Qosmio.

Try to use the System Restore tool at first and restore the operating system on time earlier. Maybe this will help you and MCE configuration will be as before.

    Try it first.

  • Display bug with Tuner TV Toshiba, MCE and WinDVD Creator 2 for Toshiba

Hello, I discovered a bug that has been troubling for a long time.
When I watch TV in MCE, the image is a little tense and off-center to the right, which means that I do not see the right side of the screen.

When I reinstall the TV Tuner driver, version 1.2.0.6, it corrects the problem, and the image is full screen and perfectly centered in Media Center.

So I spent some time trying to find what was causing the centered and stretched image bug and it seems that it is created by 'WinDVD Creator 2 for Toshiba' which has been packaged with my Qosmio.

I tracked the problem to be a parameter in the registry to the following key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE es\ttv200x\Parameters
The "VideoRes", which is set to '0' by the TV tuner driver, is set to '4' after WinDVD Creator 2 for Toshiba is used and from that moment, the bug is visible in MCE.

I've found a workaround with the parameter 'VideoRes' return '0' and restart the computer, then the screen is OK once again in MCE.

If for some reason, WinDVD Creator 2 makes this change automatically in the registry of TV tuner setting.

Can Toshiba releasing a patch for WinDVD Creator 2 fix the problem?

I think it's affecting all the owners of Qosmio with TV tuner.

    Thank you for your support.

    Alcahest

    Hello

WinDVD Creator 2 is designed by Intervideo, not Toshiba.
But like you said that the new version of driver has solved this problem.
Nevertheless thanks for your posting. It s very useful.

    Good bye

  • Qosmio G10 - how to upgrade the DMI information?

    Help, please!
I have trouble with Qosmio G10. Toshiba support don't really.help me.

I changed my motherboard with nVidia 6600 go and 915 PM and new BIOS. Now there are several problems: I tried to run the update tool CD, but it stops and «please use this CD with F10, G10...» Press any key to stop. I can not run product recovery, bad Machine.

OK, I thought, this Forum search and found that there must be something with DMI. Download Toshdmi10.exe and run it on a bootable CD but the ID does not match!

Now, I installed XP-Home Edition without recovery of MCE, but it seems that he's in trouble, because the laptop works single fix 598 MHz and has 45 Watt idle Powerconsumentation! It's a lot more before I think. Too much?!

How can I solve the problem-DMI to run Update tool and recovery CD?

    Hello

Normally the DMI information can only be updated from an authorized service...

You wrote about a new mainboard is the same as older mainboard? Maybe the new chipset and graphics card are not compatible with the other pieces of equipment

In your case I would contact the ASP again. Normally, they should help you if you explain your problem exactly. ;)

  • Qosmio G10: windows from the CD recovery

    Hello

Yes, you will lose all your files. If you perform a new installation, please use the expert mode and you'll be able to create two partitions. On the first, you need to install OS and the second that allows you to save all your data.

  • Replacement card mother Qosmio G10

After replacing the card mother a Qosmio G10-120 original Win Xp MCE with the official update (FC43S1 A5A001749010 P000454980 jury), some problems have arisen:

    1. second HARD drive internal no more seen.
    2. all buttons stop "standby/disable rebooting the computer" do not completely take effect (office closed way unexpected but manual power button continues to show the color blue and portable remains active).
    3. always on cooling fan.

    Upgrade the motherboard consisted of:

    1. creation of new channels DMI Council (in particular "Model name" field was set to "Qosmio G10").
    2. loading the CD-ROM TCN0000006 official update tool.
    3. no recovery BIOS or EC/KBC.

    Any idea?

I m wondering how you did update the information in the DMI?
As far as I know that the Toshiba authorised service provider is able to update information DMI as the model name, version number, etc. using utilities and special tools.

I googled for the motherboard part number, you have deposited in your original thread, and it seems that this motherboard has been developed the Qosmio F15 series.
So maybe his bad card mother
