Qosmio G20 on Vista is not displayed wireless network

Hello

I just finished installing Vista EU according to http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=20494
And I downloaded the driver for wireless network card, but still I can't find my wireless network. For a short period of time neighboring network appeared, but then he disappeared (probably because of the weak signal). But my network is shown even when the router is half a meter by far. How can I detect the wireless network. Help, please. :(

Is it is important the Siemens Gigaset SE555 WLAN dsl router, but I doubt that it is the router problem coz my other laptop a few meters away is a very good signal.

your wireless driver is installed correctly? have you made changes to the wireless configuration? What type of encryption your wireless card supports?

  • New driver for Qosmio G20 with Vista installed

    Hello

There are new drivers for Qosmio G20 with Vista installed.

Right now, it's Nvidia Video 169,25 version of the driver for Windows Vista.
No blue screen after installing this driver, at all.
I think that this new driver will solve the following problem:

    * Power failure screen after you have closed the lid on Vista *.

You can try it, remembering that the installation must be handwritten. And you must choose the graphics card Nvidia Geforce 6600, during installation.
    Download here:

  • Vista will not display description of the file on mouse over. File name, Type, size, and Date modified see the upward, but no description.

Vista will not display description of the file on mouse over. When I mouse over, a pop-up window displays showing: file name, Type, size and Date of change, however, it does not show the description of the file.

So, for example if I have 5 files on different types of screw - the description tells me that the size of the screws. IE. 1.5 mm or 1. 8 mm.

Update: try to get the description of the file displayed messing around in the file properties, now out of 10 records, only 2 includes the name of the file in the mice on the pop-up window. So now what lack us, it's the file name and the Description file.
    Help, please...

Hello, I recently updated my motherboard due to hardware failure now pci wireless card cannot find any wireless networks and will seek not even networks.

I tried the older drivers, change the pci slot and I tried to configure the network manually, but when I try it it says "an unexpected error has occuered" and it's all no other options.

So I got a usb wireless adapter and installed and the same thing happens, it will not look and can not have all networks.

I ran the scan of the windows files and it reports no errors

    Any suggestions would be helpful

    Hi Cannonballgum,

    1. is the wireless card detected by Windows?

First check if the wireless card is detected by windows.

    1. Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

If you see the card wireless available in the Device Manager, then visit the card manufacturer site download and install the update to the latest driver control if it works.

    Hello

You have the latest version of the BIOS?
If this isn't the case, then you should first update the BIOS!

The latest version of the BIOS is on the European driver Toshiba page and it can be modified running Windows OS.
As far as I know, you must use 2.5 or later version BIOS.

    Check it!

I found a later version of this driver for other models...

    Hello

No, you can download the latest version of common for Vista modules because the Toshiba has not released drivers Vista for the Qosmio G20

This error message is displayed on your laptop, because the common modules only work with XP!
If you want to upgrade XP to Vista you must first remove all incompatible applications.

  • Qosmio G20: Need Vista Toshiba Common Modules & utilities

I have a Qosmio G20 and that you have recently upgraded to Windows Vista - Home Premium
I need to update my driver of common and utility Modules Toshiba - can someone help me?

    Hi Paul

Unfortunately, you will have no success to find Toshiba Vista drivers or utilities for Qosmio G20!
It seems that Toshiba would present only single common Vista drivers like wireless Lan, Bluetooth Stack driver, etc. These drivers are not designed for the G20 series, but you can use it on laptops with the same BT card or wireless network adapter.

However, Toshiba Vista drivers were not released for Qosmio G20 or F20.

    Did you check that?

    Thank you guys

    Of

    Hello

I think display of the G20 should be compatible with the Qosmio G10 display.
I searched a bit and found that the Qosmio G10-100 PQG10E was fitted with the 17 "WIDE XGA LCD.
The Qosmio G20-101 PQG20E supports the same 17 "WIDE XGA display.

Therefore, it seems that both units use the same screen.

    Hello!

Have you disabled the firewall on the XP computer?
Maybe a 3rd party security software is blocking it.

Check the registry and go to:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE es\lanmanserver\parameters
In this case don't Scream no entry with the name of Hide.
If you have such an entry, delete it.

  • Laptop running Win Vista will not print wireless connection

I have a problem I'm trying to print on a printer of all-in-one HP Photosmart 2575 of my laptop.  The laptop is running Windows Vista and connect to the network using a Linksys WRT54G2 router is using.  The printer is connected by Ethernet cable to my desktop (Windows XP), and it prints fine.  No matter what I do to print via the wireless router, nothing happens except that the print output only goes to print that and sits down.

I down loaded the software HP2575 of Vista and updates directly from the HP site.

Six days ago, when I first installed everything on the new laptop, I did a test print very well.

Computer portable printer is configured to print documents Spool and using the Port "Dot4_001 HP Device.  In addition, it has the value "share this printer."

I tried a test and connected the laptop to the printer using a USB connection, and that runs just OK.  Wireless internet works fine for web connections.

So, what have I done wrong

I finally solved the problem. I don't know why it works this time.
  • Computer can not find wireless networks

    Hello

Whenever I restart my computer I have to open the part of the CPU and re services - enable Automatic Configuration Wireless for my computer to recognize networks wireless in the region. After that I then have to go to the Advanced Options in the wireless network connection properties, and then click the "use Windows to configure my wireless network. Then at that time, I can connect to my wireless router. I know that this is not normal on XP, because I've used it before, but before that I took off my computer Vista and installed XP, I had none of these problems.
    Thanks in advance

Have you installed the correct WIndows XP driver for your device without wire against the manufacturer (and their software that can replace software config wireless XP.)

  • Not installed wireless network adapter

I had a problem with my wireless on my Dell laptop Studio 1357 with Windows Vista.   We had all kinds of problems with this computer lock up / going to the right of the blue screen after that we got it.  The wireless was working fine.  Phone support Dell could not understand, so I gave my brother to take a look at.  It wiped out everything and reloaded windows.  Now, the computer works fine, but done wireless doesn't work at all.   When I turn on the wireless switch WIFI little light is no longer lights up.  When I try to install another connection, I get a message that "this computer doesn't have an installed and configured wireless network adapter".    I don't know much about computers and I really don't want to bother with this new brother.   How to install a wireless network adapter?

Go to the Dell website and enter your Service tag (on the sticker on the bottom of the laptop). Download/install all drivers and utilities of laptop for your computer. This includes wireless network card drivers.
