Question about print head

Hello, I have a printer HP Officejet Pro 8500 wireless. When I look at the 'Supplies Information' window, it shows me the status of the ink and the print heads.
Right now I see only the Cyan / Magenta printhead not the Black / Yellow Printhead. Does this mean I need to replace the Black/Yellow Printhead? I tried to print a color copy, and it certainly doesn't look good. I thought that I needed to replace the yellow ink cartridge, but it don't did me not this message that it is time for a change. Thanks for any help on this matter.

I would look at this document here. It addresses the issues of print quality for your printer model and give you troubleshooting to try in an attempt to determination of the quality of production which produces your printer.  One of the measures referred to in the document is printing and by examining the patterns of the print quality Diagnostics page. According to the results of this test, it will tell you what steps to take in order to obtain the quality of printing up to an acceptable level. If you fill the solutions provided and find that the test still shows defects then they would look to the replacement printhead. I'd the document first so we can rule out other factors that could be at the origin of the quality problem. I hope this helps.

Turning my printer this morning the display shows an error message "ink system failure".  I followed the instructions to reset 3 times with no luck.  I still get the same message.  I spent 2 hours on the HP parts store, trying to find a replacement printhead with no luck.  Where can I find the correct print head, ref replace, etc. so I can get this printer working again?

Welcome to the HP Forums @tntipsy,

I came across your post on the message 'Ink system failure' you see on your premium 8600 Officejet and troubleshooting, you have tried and are currently looking for a new printhead. My personal suggestion would be for you to contact HP directly to discuss a printhead or even a replacement unit. I would honestly suggested a replacement unit on a replacement of the print head, just in case where the same problem occurs with another print head. Details of HP are below for you!

  • Question about printing and resolution

    Hello

I have a trial version of PE13 tries and tries to reconcile with printing and resolution.

I also read this informative tutorial here:

How Image resolution affects printing - Photoshop tutorial

This is the image I want to print:

    PhotoshopQ.jpg

In the above tutorial, the author states that when printing, resolution 300 is the best and not the 79.3 px/inch I. When I change this 79.3 to 300, the image of Marilyn becomes tiny, so my question is how can I have a picture that would fit perfectly on photo paper A4 with a white 1 "border around itself (which means that the size of the image would be 8" x 6 ") while maintaining a 300 resolution?

I go about it the right way, am I not?

    Thank you very much.

    Steve

While the recommended resolution to see images from a short distance is 300 dpi, the normal resolution for screens, which was 72 PPI doe not exceed 90 ppi, except for the new screens hidpi. Which explains the "extended" effect that you see when you look at the 100% view (an impression pixel corresponds to a pixel on the screen). The print size will be what you chose: 6 * 9 inches.

    Try something like:

    dbms_output.put_line(sqlerrm || chr(10) || dbms_utility.format_error_backtrace);

(Hoping that this is a simplified example and you are not actually using dbms_output as an exception handler...)

  • Another question about printing with Adobe Reader 10.1.2

I use Adobe Reader with Windows 7 (32 bit) 10.1.2 to print on my HP Officejet 6000 and was very happy to see that she is automatically printed on both sides of the paper and paused to give clear instructions on how to reload the paper to print on the other side, and everything worked fine. Until one day, with the same settings (unless I accidentally hit something) printing returned to his old ways: Although the dialog box print on both sides of the selected paper, it print on one side. I resorted to the ancient practice of trick the printer by limiting the paper, then when he expired, put in the pages had been printed on one side, to print on the other.

How can I restore drive 10.1.2 to his original behavior?

It might be the setting of the printer was set to ensure that duplex printing is more would be and its replacing the printer dialog box settings.

The printer, check to make sure that duplex printing is turned on.

  • Designjet Z2600: Questions about head of ink and printer maintenance

We have recently acquired a printer, Designjet Z2600 24 "large format.  A few questions so we can know what to expect:

    • Dry ink: A colleague suggested that dried ink can be a problem if the printer is not used frequently.  We plan on it using every two weeks, but there may be times when a month or two will pass between uses.  Is this a problem?
    • Print heads: will be the printer alert us when they need to be replaced or should we look for quality defects?
    • Management of ink: before printing, the printer will be well estimate ink necessary for work and alert us if we need to insert the new cartridges before employment passes by?

    Thank you!

    Hello

The recommendation is to keep it at any time.

If you use the printer turns off completely the power button.

When not in use, it will go in standby mode, wake up maintenance and sleep.

  • Photosmart B109 question - display message print head problem cannot be removed

Hi all, I just bought a used B109 printer/scanner, and I can't get rid of the message on the display screen.

I bought the unit knowing he had a problem with Printhead and am waiting for a new print head, but the problem is, the language of unity has been defined in Czech by the former owner, and I want to change it to English. However, the process to change the language (press on high righ, middle left and bottom left buttons and the display screen) will not work because the display shows the message print head problem, and I can't get rid of the message.

Is it possible to access the menu, while the print head message always?

Oh, and is it possible to really connect with HP? Through their support just site ends with Q & A generic, that does not solve my problem as stated above... :-(

    Hello TonyW1967,

    Welcome to the HP Forums.

In fact, you will have to wait until the new printhead is installed and clear the error before we can enter the setting menu to change the language on the printer.

  • 7520 new stuck in the installation phase. Print head move load ink cartridges

I'm stuck in the new phase of printer configuration. After running through the commissioning of questions and I opened the cover to charge the ink cartridges and the print head did not move. I ran across several reset process... Unplug the printer. Wait 60 seconds and plug it in again. Browse the configuration... Unplug the printer... more.

This printer does not seem to be any cartriages.

    Hey JohnTT,

Sometimes, these printers come with packaging that holds the printhead completely to the right at the gas station.  This avoids damage to the product during shipping.  You see all plastic parts orange that it may contain in place or Blue Ribbon?

So, have you tried the carriage to the right hand?  Can it be moved or is it blocked?

If the printer still will not release the print carriage after the power cycles and move it by hand, then I suggest you return the product and return to the retailer of purchase or by calling the HP Technical Support to see about a replacement.  The phone number for the USA / Canada residents is 1-800-474-6836.  If you are not in this region, click here.

  • OfficeJet pro 8500: print heads and things

OK, maybe it's a bit confusing. I have three printers Officejet 8500. No. 1 went into a never-ending cycle of clean print heads (after more than 30,000 pages) and without me being in the room the right side of the printer depot of ink on the table. Tried the reset but not good. Bought a second hand and after a few weeks, it came in paper jam mode. Could not resolve so finally bought number three. Works a treat and has no problem. Numbers one and two are for recycling. Print heads removed and stored in an airtight box with damp cloth. What is staging. Now after spending all that money, the last thing I want, it's having problems with number three. However, I have three cartridge sets new and unopened from PC World (their own brand) which cost £39. They came with the number two of the machine. They are not dated and has no way to know at what age they are. They are not oem, I can't any advice on their likely performance, but what worries me, is can the ink begins to solidify and block print heads as they age? Like I said they are still sealed. If I change the cartridge and use a spare set of the print heads to check the print output and that something is wrong if I can swap cartridges and print heads back without the printer enter the cycle of constant head cleaning. I know there have been issues with these printers but mine is on 27 000 pages and all tests are reports back in good health. I have also several chips of HP cartridges genuine that I can use.  Sorry as that a little long-winded.

    Hello @notahappybunny,

Welcome to the forums of HP.

I understand that you have some questions and concerns about your ink cartridges non OEM 8500 and some.

    I would like to help.

The following document explains on the expiry of the ink.

Consumable inkjet HP - ink Expiration

From what I've read, it's I think I understand that the ink may change over time.

Because ink is sealed I don't think they're going to solidify, but the pigment used in the ink may eventually separate from water. This will certainly cause print quality problems.

In addition, your first 8500 printhead might not be good.

A bad print head may cause the impression of entering the cycle without end cleaning.

I hope that I have answered your question.

  • All-in-one HP Photosmart C309a "Alignment failed" error message even after cleaning the print heads, etc.

About 3 weeks ago before making the error msg above, a large black ink blob appeared on my printed piece of paper.  This product for several sheets later, but kept decreasing in amount.  I continued to print & finally all traces of ink have disappeared.  2 days ago I got a msg of error on "load plain white paper. ", but the paper tray was plain white paper in it.  I have removed the paper, straightened and her successor. As a result, the msg "Alignment failed" appeared.  I went through all the steps HP online information on the treatment of the "alignment failed", including the cleaning of the printheads (the right amount of ink was on it), check the vents of cartridge, etc.  My question is: if I have 4 out of colored inks and a new black ink installed, the alignment is being affected by the old cartridges?  A msg on this appeared on the Control Panel, giving the opportunity to proceed with the old cartridges or install new ones, but be careful that it "cannot allow completion of...» "If 'old' were replaced not.  I need to replace these color cartridges or is it probably another problem, which is print head damaged?

Checked the evacuation & there is no problem, so I tried the informal solution to put the printhead in hot water.  A ran 1 cleaning via / configuration on the printer and finally aligned with success tools.  I waited a while to respond because I wanted to see if the printer should continue to work, and there!

Thank you very much.  I'm happy that I can keep this printer!

  • OfficeJet Pro 6830: Question about drying of ink on Officejet Pro 6830

    Hello

I have to buy a new HP printer for my parents.

In fact, they use a hp photosmart 3300 and it will print no more.

I have met a few cleanup step, but now nothing.

So decided to buy a new one and I'm interesting by a Pro Officejet 6830.

Why, because they can change an ink cartridge separately rather standard officejet.

I also look for laser printer, but HP are not my preferred choice...

My question is if my parents don't use it by usage recommended by mounth, the printer get dirty as the precedent?

A student told me that he has a new feature to protect the heads and ink printers.

May they have remove all the cartridges when they leave home for more than a month...

    Thanks for your recommendation.

    Hi @PaulLious,

    For guaranteed print heads:

Since the print head is out of warranty, you don't need to worry about voiding the warranty, which means you can do a physical cleaning the printhead without worry.  You should only do physical cleaning if you have a problem of quality of sever, have a faulty alignment problem, an ink system failure, or you lack color and a mechanical cleaning does not work.  Bob_Headrick was kind enough to make the post below which describes the steps to physically clean the print head.

  • Many questions about the HP 50 g

I just ordered a HP 50 g graphic calculator! I have a few questions about this so hang on tight! What is the USB connector on the calculator? Mini-USB, micro USB, or is it a connector owner, "custom". Then, it would be possible to connect a keyboard to the HP 50 g by using the USB Port? Is there a program that would make this possible? • Question about partitions on Equium A100-027

    Hi all!

I'm new to the forum but have been hidden for a while and he thought at the time that I said "Hello".

This and the fact that I have a question about my laptop Satellite A100-027.
The hard drive on my laptop seems to be divided into three partitions = Vista (c) / data (E :) / WinRE (d) with the WinRE (D :) is quite small but others, quite large.))

My C drive is up to 3 that GB free with about 35 GB of free data (E :) is possible to merge these two to give me a big drive? And if so, how?
Please excuse my ignorance, but it seems impossible to me to "get my head around" this thing hard drive and would split the a large hard drive.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and once again, Hello to all.

    Hello

As the user previous already said, you can manage HARD drive partitions in disk management settings.

If you n t want to have a data partition (e) then you can try to delete it in disk management.
Then you can add this empty space of the HARD drive for other partitions on the HARD drive.

But note; the empty space will be placed at the end of the HARD drive. I don't know if your C partition is placed as a second HARD drive partition, but if so, then it should be no problem to add empty space to partition C (System) of m.
