Question of color transparent sample CS4

If anyone can help I would really like to know how I can taste a transparent color.  I'm not talking sampling of the opaque original but the resulting color of transparency on top.  Now the SHIFT with the pipette selects only the opaque color, same result when I double click on the eyedropper tool and pleasant with the settings.

No direct way I know. You can do this:

1 rasterize the work; do not use the effect, you must actually object > rasterize, and then undo after

2. the object of interest to you and to check playback in the color shift-sample Panel

You can also save the file in PDF format and check the read Acrobat Pro.

  • CS4 Question of color fill

    Trying to paint for use on a new layer fill color, I get the message that I can't perform this action without rasterize the layer first. When I hit Cancel, it tells me "could not use the can of paint because the content of the layer is not directly editable. The problem is that I don't want pixelation. Specifically, what I want to do is create new color fill layer (say red), allows you to complete with black to create a mask by the Red transparent until with a white brush color over the paint. And, conversely, when using a black brush, red is "erased" and goes back to transparent.

    I did it in CS2 and CS3 without falling on an error. I hope it's just missing me something basic and new in CS4.

    Please let me know if I need to provide more information.

    On the fill color layer, there are two icons: one for the padding on the left and one for the mask on the right. Click on the mask. When the mask is active, it has double lines on the corners like this:

    Now, you will be able to fill it with black and achieve what you want.

  • Question of color Panel (CS4)

    It's more of a thing of curiosity to mission-critical, but this is:

    If you have a color, as you know, it appears in the Panel of color with a slider to adjust the tint. You can click the CMYK icon to show the distribution in four colors.

    But is it possible to return to the display of the cursor?

    Click on the swatch in the swatch Panel and it will give you the back sliders.

  • Newbie question of color management

    Hi people

    using cs4. just finished a CMYK job on a new press. colors on the final print job were pretty loyal to what I saw on my screen when you design, with a few exceptions I want to tweak if possible. I'm new to color management, so looking for some advice.

    According to my research, the right thing to do is to ask a colorsync or icm or icc of my press profile. I did... but my press was a little confused and sent me a bunch of .icc files and I don't know that one to load. people in the press are great people and it's a good press, but I had the feeling that they have not been asked this question a lot. so I ended up using U.S. web coated (swop) v2 profile, which is what they recommended in the end.

    so if I can't get one of my press icc profile, the other approach according to my research wing and adjust the color on my own profile so that what I see on my screen match the printed output. in other words, I take the printed output and hold it up to my screen and manually adjust the color profile settings. I think that this is done in photoshop under edit-> assign the profile and/or edit-> color settings, and then synchronize the color management for all applications using the bridge. Maybe it is possible in indesign? I ask the question on this forum because of the excellent answers that I'll be back here.

    I don't want to screw things up and I'm a newbie with this, then advice out there? My basic situation is that the colors were reasonably loyal but there was a very curious thing where a c = 0, m = 0, y = 35, k = 15 color looked very green on the printed page even if it was a soft yellow on my monitor. I want to try to adjust that.

    Thank you...

    You have a colorimeter and monitor profiling software? It is the starting point of all color management workflow. You also need a pretty good monitor that CAN be calibrated. If the monitor isn't showing you exactly the colors, then nothing do you will to matter.

    Matching the print monitor is an old technique that works only when you have a closed loop where all the work is output on the press even under the same conditions. The purpose of the peripheral use independent publishing spaces, such as Adobe RGB, which is in theory everything correctly calibrated monitor will display the same image, and you can convert any space of output known at the time.

    Terms like watching soft yolks are quite subjective, so I don't know what you expected, but I do not expect 35y, 15 k to be very clear, nor very yellow. While I would not characterize as green color on my monitor, it is certainly not resemble a banana, and beside a clear yellow could be called it greenish in comparison. It's really a yellowish gray clear, in my view.

    I put up a comparison here to see what it looks like, but the colors won't be accurate in a browser.

  • Can you help me solve the color picker in CS4?

    Hello world

    I have PS CS4 on a Vista 64 system and suddenly noticed (maybe it done all along, but I don't remember using the eyedropper tool to color since his arrival of the PES in PS a few months ago) that the same color eyedropper tool not come remotely close to picking the appropriate color that I select with the pipette. I was doing a tutorial on brushes last night and tried to choose the red color of the dress of my child in the picture as the foreground for the brush color. The color picker chose a color in the browns. I moved and then choose a light green, once again, he chose a color in the browns. I have no idea what gives.

    My monitor is calibrated using Color Munki create and, as stated in the tutorial, I use Adobe RGB 1998 color space. But for some reason, the color picker does not behave. And I couldn't find anything in my research on what is a bug.

    Someone would be able to advise me?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Color transparency strobe is bogged down my computer CPU

    Good afternoon

    Recently, I have programmed an interactive floor plan that generates a transparent flashing color on top a png file imported. The flashing light is beautiful and exactly what I need, but I encountered some problems. I've referenced the thread 'color and transparent boolean' to help me with this program.

    When I run the program of the CPU on my computer goes up to about 97 percent. After messing around with the calendar of the loop and some of these color gradient options, I can get up to about 40-50% CPU usage, but the end result looks almost as good as before. Also, I intend to have several rooms simultaneously flashing in the future, and only an indicator of the single room is causing this problem.

    It is my goal to have the program running while using no more than 15-20% CPU. Is this possible?

    Someone has suggestions to help the program to run without hogging all the CPU?

    I'll post my program because I know this is helpful

    (Also, if anyone has any suggestions to get the flashing rect and the graphics of the circle on the same plan of the fair, which would be much appreciated)

    Thank you very much

  • Question: CP9: color of the web page outside of the project area.

    CP9, HTML5, output only.

    Hello

    Question: How can I change the color of the web page outside of the project area?

    I want that my projects in 100% white as in example 1.

    I tried changing all kinds of options on the slide master and made sure that both projects have the same settings, but I still get a gray color as in example 2.

    (If the solution is to edit the index.html file or any other file I'm happy about it).

    Any help will be much appreciated.

    Thank you

    This project page is 100% white.

    Hi Peter,.

    You can change the color of the HTML box around the Captivate project from:

    1. in the menu bar, click themes and select the skin editor.

    2. in the skin Editor window, open the borders page (second means of icon on the left, under the name of skin).

    3. in the theme section, specify the background color of the HTML.

  • Creation of spot color in Illustrator CS4 js

    Hello

    I need to create tones in Illustrator CS4 with js, with values assigned to name and color. Here what I have:

    myColor = myDoc.spots.add({name:"FOIL", colorValue:[10, 0, 100, 0]});

    But it comes out as a process instead of square and the color is not affected.

    Thank you for your help.

    Yulia

    the add function has no parameters, you need to add after

    addSpot ('FOIL', 10, 0, 100, 0);

    function addSpot(name, c, m, y, k) {
        try {
            swatch = app.activeDocument.swatches[name]; // if swatch exists....
            addSpot (name+='1', c, m, y, k); // ...add 1 to swatch name
        }
        catch (e) {
            var newSpot = app.activeDocument.spots.add();
            newSpot.name = name;

            var newColor = new CMYKColor();
            newColor.cyan = c;
            newColor.magenta = m;
            newColor.yellow = y;
            newColor.black = k;

            newSpot.colorType = ColorModel.SPOT;
            newSpot.color = newColor;
            var newSpotColor = new SpotColor();
            newSpotColor.spot = newSpot;

  • Questions of color... VS PS Background Image is not...

    I am rebuilding a Web site using a color scheme that I've used many times. But this time it is not working properly.

    The background color for the Web site is #dddddd.

    PS I use background color of RGB #dddddd then I have 'place' a picture on it and then I take it back to Dreamweaver.

    It isn't a perfect match as it should be. I checked several things... like RGB color mode in PS and it's ok.

    What Miss me.

    I have created several websites before where this actaully worked right.

    MelissaHoffmann wrote:

    Instead use the #ddd in PS color, why do not use background transparent so that it blends with the colors of the site.

  • Photoshop - how to assign the background color transparent?

    I use Photoshop CS5, and I have a black and white drawings to the trait (wiring diagram).  I want to put transparent white background in order to make schematic lines and paste them on a colored background.

    I tried to use the magic wand tool, but he chooses only some parts of the background.  I want everything that is white, to be transparent.  In Paint Shop Pro, the order was simply to set the transparency of the a certain color palette and you were made.  However, I'm learning Photoshop, and I am simply unable to find a way to do it.

    I guess this should be a simple task, because it is widely used in the graphics in the world, I don't know how to do it.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Select > color - Select range: Highlights - click OK

    If bottom, unlock layer by dragging the lock icon in the layer panel to the trash

    Press the delete key

    All white must now be transparent.

    If not, post a screenshot with the layers panel open, so that we can try something else.

  • Color transparent graphic text and 'print' InDesign PDF files on-screen display

    Hello, all!

    I'm new here and am with color in InDesign CS3.  The two parts of the problem, explains the pasting attached screenshots: put a graph under type prevents me from having purple type I want – and when I make a PDF of the InDesign document, all the purple right (even the stuff with no graphics) below is converted into the evil purple.  (Ignore the statement on zoom factors, is the reason for a friend.)  It seems almost unbelievable that there is no way to avoid this problem, but my search for the solution were in vain so far.  (I'm certainly novice in some aspects of InDesign).

    Public 2012-08-15 c1530EDT.png

    Although I can eventually print the document on paper size, with just an inkjet printer, I am not quite so be concerned about color here.  Just having good purple the on-screen display of a PDF document would be quite an improvement over the current dam.

    Thanks to all those that can help you: you probably know I have these things here.

    If the destination of your document isn't just an offset press defined your fusion of transparency in RGB space. The purple you are specing is not in the range of CMYK colors.

  • Question on color background with other objects

    I'm new to this forum and I am very new to illustrator program. I realize that this may be a basic question and stupid it is obvious to most everyone else here but put into perspective my skills. I am doing a project for my base class of graphic design in my community college and I do could be done better by someone in the kindergarten. He looks terrible.

    in any case, I tried to set the background color to a 8.5 x 11 in. project and I know that I can add the background color with a rectangle on the entire space and fill it with a color. My question is how can you put other objects from the background of different color on top a blue (or any color besides)? For example, I put a black circle on the top blue background but it disappears behind the blue, so you can't see the circle. I tried to reduce the opacity of the background blue, but it doesn't look good. I want to be 100% opacity blue. I just need to know how to put things on top of the background color. I'm using CS5 passing.

    Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    You have the mode draw behind? If so, change it at the bottom of the tool palette, or press SHIFT D.

  • Quick question - background color of image search?

    Hi guys,.

    Its been years that I used Photoshop, and I just try the ATM of Photoshop CS5 (very different from the simple PS7 that I used!) I have an image I want to find the background color, I like to fill it to the other images. I remember on the old versions if clear you an area of that foreground color would immediately just turn to the color that you deleted, but no more - I'm stuck!

    Any help, I hope I have explained myself well!

    > Also, is anyway I could buy an older version of Photoshop? I am a very rare user, and even the latest version of the software elements is rather steep £50 +. I would gladly pay a few books for Photoshop 7.

    Thank you

    Welcome to the forum.

    The eyedropper tool, it's what you're looking for. If you don't see it in your Toolbox, look at the measurement tool (don't forget what else in this tool in future releases) and Rt-click on this, for other tools, including the pipette. Remember, in the eyedropper options, you have the parameters of sample size.

    Good luck

  • Yet another question of color management

    Hi people,

    I have read several of the very detailed color management messages/discussions here already but that you did not find the answer I'm looking for. So I hope that some experts might be able to save me time and the entry...

    I'm under a Windows 7 (32-bit) environment with a Dell screen Ultrasharp u2711 attached. I left the monitor prepare to close on 30 minutes and ran an 'Easy' calibration with Lacie's eye - one device using the Gretag Macbeth 3.6 software. (I guess I could have used the calibration of the "Advanced" option but thought that I would allow me to save time and has always been pleased with the results on my older Sony CRT).

    I'm under LR3.2 and CS4. Viewing images in LR RAW skin tones are much too saturated, but when I export images as sRGB JPEGs results seem very nice when displayed in the (much less saturated) Windows Photo Viewer. If I open the same image in Internet Explorer, it is identical to the way she looks in LR. (I haven't installed so have not compared to Firefox). If I open the image in CS4 by default it has the same appearance it does in Windows, but if I change the format of RGB monitor test it corresponds to what I see in LR and IE.

    I guess it is somehow related to the new wider gamut range that the monitor can display (compare to my previous CRTs). I read in one of the messages of Jao that LR is always right and other unmanaged applications will do weird things on high range screens. IE is not color managed then why it display very similar colors to what I see in LR, when the standard Windows image viewer displays much less saturated color (which seems to be the opposite of what others are experiencing)?

    I usually always export to JPEG sRBG images usually go online, but this series is going to a customer who will be most likely took to printing and viewing on a PC.

    Looking forward to your comments on this.

    Kind regards

    Chris

    Can anyone confirm 100% if the Windows in Windows 7 Photo Viewer is color managed?

    This is the case.

    Check out this thread on the calibration range as your monitors. Adobe RGB is perhaps not the best starting point, and certainly the luminance to any monitor that is used for the treatment of the image must use 120cd/m2 as an absolute maximum. The best results will be obtained my ambient light control (monitor hoods etc) in order to use around 100 cd/m2 luminance values or less. A decent calibration device should be able to measure the ambient light and the recommendation on the lowest luminance setting allows you to calibrate.
