  I entered "soft secret enable", and now I'm locked up.  A question mark after 'enable secret' says I can enter "line".  This is not the case, I had to enter 0 or 5, I'm not.   I tried soft and all the variations.  I don't want to break if I can avoid it.  Anyone know what I can to get enable privelages?  Thank you

  If you used "soft secret enable" then soft is your password. It will be used by default 0 (no encrypted password that follows).

  There is probably a typo when you typed soft because it should work.

  If there are still questions of password recovery will be your only option to get into the router.

• Cisco IOS device - password enable

  Y at - there a trick to getting the password to enable working on Cisco's IOS device?

  I created my first workflow to connect to a Cisco IOS device recently and initially could not do the work of enable mode.

  the deployment on iOS requires iOS SDK and an example of Apple Developer for the signature. That being said, you need a MAC to create a deployment for iOS.

  Having some problems with the SMS and iMessage notification since the upgrade to iOS 10. The problem is that sometimes there is no noise or vibration or anything like that when I get a message. I will just have to pick up the phone and there is a banner on the lock screen. And until someone asks, it isn't that I was away from the phone, or I didn't hear it go off... there was just no notification. It's as if the phone was in DND (which it was not).

  The other thing is, I NEVER receive a notification when I am sent an iMessage from a sender that is the only email address (like an iPad wifi only). In this situation, my phone never plays a sound never vibrates... you open the lock screen, but there's a new banner of message sitting there... as I said before - just as the phone is in DND... which is not.

  This problem happens on mine and my wife's phone. For any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

  Here is an update. I think I can find a solution to the problem. I used to have my "send and receive" in the messages app implemented with my phone number and checked e-mail address. I have deselected the e-mail address and have now received a notifcation for every message I've received so far. The sample size is a bit small at the moment but before this change, it is 50-50 at best.

  I think this is what you might be referring. It was initially a problem with iOS 9.3 causing model beginning deivices present some incompatibility. Since then, Apple engineers have released two updates iOS 9.3.1 and 9.3.2 in response to bugs. You should not have problems when updating, but each update and software installed for each unit is different, so it is difficult to say with certainty.   I recently updated my MacBook Pro (2012) to the iOS of Maverick.  So, I had to update many other applications, including iPhoto. I had a book filled with pictures of family of 2015, but had not printed.  The book came through after the update, but not all of my placed photos are here. I have a few other books (which have already been printed), and their pictures were very good. In any case, I can restore the photos without having to recreate hours of work?  The pictures are still on my Mac. So frustrating!  Thank you for any advice and comments.

• GANYMEDE configuration on a 1900

  Forgive me if this question belongs on the Forum of General safety

  I read the Document ID:9906 configuration GANYMEDE + on the catalyst 1900.

  I have a 1924 configuration that has GANYMEDE on it. The switch is not on my network yet... I use a cable from the console to configure. I tftp config running on in NVRAM. Some how in the process, I have a level 15 password enable xxxxx left in the config.

  When I log in the sw and go into enable mode... Ganymede should expire several times until I can get in.

  My question has to do with enable secret password vs have enable password level 15

  Right now I have both... To make my configurations correspond to what is in the rest of my network that is online, I need to remove the level 15 of the enable password xxxx (xxxx pretending is the pw) command because its pw is not encrypted.

  Which leaves me with the password enable secret lonely.

  My concern is when I take off the level of password enable 15... I am not able to get back into my switch!

  Enable-use-Ganymede

  Can I take the xxxx level 15 password enable leaving the enable secret in and not locked switch?

  Hello

  The main difference between the enable password and the enable secret password is that the encrypted enable password uses a reversible encryption function and the password plaintext can be recovered by using the encrypted password. The secret password enable, however, uses a non-reversible encryption function.

  Is the only time where the enable password is used if the enable secret password is disabled (or you are using an old image that does not support the enable secret password).

  Therefore, it should be perfectly safe to remove the enable password. You will not get locked switch as long as you know the enable secret password.
