• Question words of bars and tone

  Hi all;

  A documentary that I just finished has been accepted for broadcast by our State, which is excellent PBS affiliate.   They need me add 60 seconds of bars color and tone, but also a slate and countdown until the film begins.   I know not how to do this, but my question is this: I'm just using the bars and tone in the menu "New" in CS5.  I'm afraid that the color bars and the level of the audio tone may not be any what special meaning for the colors and the audio levels in my 57 minutes long movie.

  In other words I should resolve whatever it is in the tone or bars to better relate to my film?  Or maybe I should reverse that and set the values of color and audio to the best match the bars and tone?  Or if all goes well, I can just not worry.    It's only my second documentary to be picked up by the network, so I obviously don't have a lot of experience.  For the first project in 2012, I used the bars and tone without regard to their link with the film itself, and it seemed all work out.   But I look forward to suggestions.

  You do NOT set the bars.  They are there as a standard "set up.  These bars because they are going to make sure that your video is played like you cc and it classified.

  You may need to adjust the audio signal to match what the broadcaster use. EG-18-20,-123... I don't care.

  Could someone tell me how can I set the parameters of vCPU.

  I'll install this machine to 3 virtual servers. 1 Win 2012 Server + MS SQL Server 2012 which point in the most important and most difficult. 2 Win 2008 DC (low voltage). 3 Win 2008 FTP (low voltage).

  First, check the current configuration of the you with new software and if the new software has poor performance on the virtual machine, and then add core to this.

  The subject of memory, try to start with the minimum recommendation and then add memory until the performance is not good for you.

  I have a test on vSphere Lab 5 (with all the latest updates installed) and I try to make virtual machines using PowerCLI (version 5.0.1). The virtual machine is powered OFF.

  1. I created using this string VM:

  New-VM - name Test_VM - ResourcePool resources Datastore - LUN1 - DiskMB 512 - MemoryMB 512 NumCpu - 4 - disk - CD - NetworkName VL348 - Confirm: $false

  There is no way to set the number of CPU sockets or cores when creating the virtual machine by using the latest PowerCLI. The only way to create the virtual machine with more than one CPU or core is to use the parameter - NumCpu (total number of cores!).

  2. I connected to the vSphere Client and checked the newly created configuration of the CPU of the virtual machine. And the customer shows me an error:

  

  

  

  The cpuid.corespersocket parameter does not exist.

  In the virtual machine's .vmx file, there is no such parameter.

  Numvcpus = '4' only exists in the .vmx file.

  In addition, it is not possible to change the settings of casings and carrots using the Client. The same mistake as in the first screen appears.

  4. then I tried to use the command Set - VM change NumCpu 4... Nothing has changed. String cpuid.coresPerSocket = "1" still present in the file.

  5 then I tried to make my VM with 1 Quad-Core processor. Success!

  6. then, I tried to modify the 2x2Core and return to Quad-Core 1. Success!

  7 then - back to 4 Single-Core. IN CASE OF FAILURE!

  What I've done wrong?

  Not all OS supports vCPU 4 or more. This first error in the vSphere Client seems to point in this direction.

  If I give 2 CPUs in a machine, it maps to the physical CPU underlying, or is he underlying host carrots?

  And finally, if I assigned 2 processors to each vmachine, will I see performance degradation in the cluster to compare to just assign a?

  First of all, it is not vCenter which manages the planning of CPU is the individual host servers.  read the following doc for a very good idea to schedule of CPU

  If you have a guest 2vCPU it will use carrots 2pCPU

  You mileage may vary, but it is not considered best practice to create comments vSMP without good reason, it will increase the pressure on the CPU scheduler on the host servers.

  When you register as a seller on TPT you can then go to their forum and find all your answers.  Click on your dashboard (you'll see that once you signed) and you will find the forums where the seller go to questions and support.  I hope this helps.

  I'm writing a book for school and have done a lot of editing.  Tonight, I chose to copy and paste the title of an article that I was referencing on the web (I use FF), which is something I do all the time without any problems.  Then, starting IN the word document, I pointed out a passage for cut and paste elsewhere.  Instead, he re-pasted article that I had taken place online - the title of this article.  So, I went to the Clipboard and deleted and tried to copy and paste (of my paper) again.  Still did not work.  I tried to drag and drop and that has not worked.  I checked and unchecked "allow drag and drop" in the field of the option and opening and closing, closed all browsers, etc., and so far, not only in this document, but in all word documents, I can't copy and paste or drag and drop.  Help!  And thanks in advance.  It is a BIG problem, as I'm working on a thesis.

  My first question is how do I dynamically change the number of vCPU and amount of a computer virtual memory when the virtual machine is running? If so, this may be achieved by writing a few scrpits to inform the hypervisor?

  My second question is, I can start a virtual machine in KVM with the number of vCPUs and amount of memory configured in the startup script. I don't know if this is supported in vmware ESXi?

  I couldn't find the answer in the ESXi 5.0 user guide.

  Your suggestion will be highly appreciated.

  Good, in Windows Vista and using a printer HP Deskjet 645c with the updated driver, here's the weirdness:

  When printing from Word 2007, Wordpad and Notepad, the sheet through the printer appear in print, but no printing actually takes place. Same for the two existing documents and those newly created. On the other hand, everything prints normally IE8, Firefox and Adobe Reader. Reinstalled the printer driver and also to delete the Word data key in the registry. No love. Automated ran, troubleshooting of MS, but still no love because he found no problem. Someone at - it a good idea?   (1) I want to clarify if you arejust I try to print the text or insertion of objects into Word and WordPad?

  Fonts and graphics damaged can cause printing problems in Word/WordPad

  (2) using a wireless printer?

  Check to see if it makes a difference if connected.

  Step 1: This test in word

  1. open a new blank document in Word.

  2. on the first line of the document, type the following text:

  = Rand (10)

  3. press ENTER. This inserts 10 paragraphs of the sample text.

  4. try to print the document.

  5. If the document prints correctly, replace it with another font or insert a clip art image, a table, or a drawn object
