R2 Server 2012 network leak

Hi all

I have a problem on my LAN since I installed 2 Windows server 2012R2 in 2 different places.

Since im now facing a delay of network at least once in a week in particular on network printers, switches and wireless access point. and this problem will not be solved until I restart my server.

my servers hardware is IBM

ive tried too many help out and tried to stop many services. but always without result. and the only solution is to reboot the server.

all faced a similar problem? and did you find a solution?

NB: I not had this problem when I have windows Server 2003.

This issue is beyond the scope of this site (for consumers) and to be sure, you get the best (and fastest) reply, we have to ask either on Technet (for IT Pro) or MSDN (for developers)

  • HP Envy (700-420nx): HP Envy 700-420nx Ethernet (network driver) for Windows Server 2012

I recently converted my desktop (HP Envy 700-420nx) in a server machine PC, running Windows Server 2012. But unfortunately the network stopped working. Then I installed the network (Realtalk) for windows 8.1 driver. But the problems still exist as it is. Says "No correct IP configuration" after an auto repair, "United Nations identified network" on the list of the networks.

This is why I would like to download the specific driver for Windows server 2012 or any other possible solution to this matter is appreciated.

  • Debugging in kernel mode on network problem Windows Server 2012 R2 or Windows 8.1 comments

    Hi all!

I tried the kernel debugger of network installation of client Windows Server R2 2012 on article according to VMware Workstation 10.0.1:
    http://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/Windows/hardware/hh439346 (v = vs. 85) .aspx

But I can't connect to guest with WinDBG. I have set up bcdedit, restart and see that boot OS comments very slow.
Then I run regedit, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\kdnet and see that
KdInitResultString value is 'InitializeNetwork could get the Ethernet address of the host debugger.".
    KdInitStatus value is "c00000b5".

    I tried:
-change of hardware to 9 version
-change the comments to e1000 Ethernet card
-disable the DHCP (debugger comments must use APIPA)
-change the type of connection (bridge NAT, host-only)

and every time I get the error "Failure of InitializeNetwork get the Ethernet address of the host debugger.". Guest 8.1 Windows x 64 and x 86 Windows 8.1 I get the same result.
But I can debug comments Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8 on network without any problems. Also I can debug Windows Server R2 2012 on Oracle VirtualBox network.

Is this a problem of VMware Workstation? Anyone can debug comments WIndows Server 2012 R2 or Windows 8.1 on network in VMware Workstation?

    Thank you!

Have you tried the Workstation Technology Preview July 2014? (https://communities.vmware.com/community/vmtn/workstation/vmware-workstation-technology-preview-2014) I think that this problem has been resolved.

    Hello:

I don't work for or represent HP.

All I can advise is that HP offers no support or drivers for all windows server operating systems for any mobile business or consumer they ever made.

With this track record, I doubt very much they will be.

In addition, it would be Intel to release Windows Server drivers for their wireless cards, not HP.

I've never seen a card driver wireless for windows server on the Intel Web site.

Normally the equivalent standard windows drivers work on Windows server most of the time.

For example: If you had installed Windows Server 2008 R2 on your laptop, wireless Intel W7 driver probably would work.

But since there is no equivalent W10 driver for the wireless card model that your laptop is, I have a feeling that is the reason why the wireless card does not work.

You may laugh with some of the advanced settings for the card under the Advanced tab in Device Manager to see if you can get the card to work.

    Enable WMM for example.

  • Thumbnail option does not work in Terminal Server in Windows Server 2012 and server session

This might be a stupid question.

We have two Windows server 2012 R2 - TS and DC. The clients are connecting to TS and access the shared network drives present in DC. I always unchecked 'show icons, never thumbnails' and 'Show thumbnails in System Properties' enabled on DC and the two TS.

    No always thumbnail option.

You will need to click on each image. Users have many files containing multiple images. It's annoying to click and view each image.

Note: NO GPO is configured to block it. Checked.

I can't find any object GPO to allow this option to be :)

More info. For customers, anywhere, whether network shares or all folders in TS session. It does not work. Also tried painting and Windows Photo Viewer.

Here, any help will be very appreciated!

  • Remote access Windows Server 2012 through internet with desktop connection

Summer messing about with it for days and don't get no love.

Try to connect with Windows 7 Ultimate edition to Windows Server 2012 Data Center version from outside my home network, Starbucks or McDonald's or my server at home.

Tried all these steps found in this promising and useful article:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/allow-remote-desktop-connections-from-outside-your-home-network

    1. Allow connections to the computer you want to access remotely. DONE - ADDED to THE SERVER AND NON-ADMIN ACCOUNT to RDP GROUP of ROLES, using network level authentication. Connection of Win 7, so this method of authentication should not be a problem, I assume.
    2. Make sure that remote desktop is able to communicate through your firewall. DONE - FOR BOTH PUBLIC AND PRIVATE RULE.

    3. Find the IP address of the computer on your home network you want to connect. MADE - by using the ipconfig/all command

    4. Open your router configuration screen and worms forward port 3389 for TCP IP address of the destination computer. DONE - NOT TCP/UDP but TCP only, internal and external port goes. Note: The use of a booster signal wifi at the end of the House, it is a problem that requires additional configuration? I don't think he has an ip address or acts as a router. But in desperation I can try unplugging then again head the local Starbucks to try to connect.

    5. Find the IP address of the router so that the remote desktop can be found on the Internet. DONE - using "what is my ip", pretty easy.

    6. Open Remote Desktop connection, and connect. ACTUALLY, I think THAT, IN ENTERING [ip router]: 3389.

But the result of the message is always the typical:

    (1) remote access to the server is not enabled.

    > But this is not true, that I am capable of the DRC at home on the server machine.

    (2) computer remote is not off.

    > But this is not true, as I just left home 30 minutes and sometimes it's rarely, only restarted.

    (3) the remote computer is not available on the network.

    > Don't know what that means. Of course the remote computer is not on the network, I am on right now. It's on my home network. But I can ping my router ip via cmd, then coming to the outside can be done; through my router, I should be able to access inside my home network port forwarding w. But no love.

So... what to do, what to do...

The wifi booster is a problem?

Connects to the Data Center edition a problem?

What happens if I uncheck the option ' use authentication NLA, is that the passage of the security risk?

Any ideas about the configuration I could be missing before giving up and go for VPN or TeamViewer. I would really like to see materialized during all the time that I put in trying to run the DRC.

    Thanks for any input.

    / Markus

    Hello

We have windows server 2012 and almost everything works well.

What we try to do, is that other users on the same network can see the configuration of file sharing on windows 2012 but without success

they see all devices network but not windows 2012... they see even our old Server 2003.

I'm banging my head for almost a week to fix this.

and also, the w2012 server sees not all devices of local share

the firewall is disable and sharing is enabled for pubic hair on w2012.

is there a gpo that blocks or something else

the fact that he isn't is on the same workgroup (but 2003 is on various working groups and others can see see this server)

  • DYMO on Remote Desktop Web Access Server 2012 R2

    OK, here's the situation.

We have a field in a data center...

    Domain A

We have other areas in local offices.

    Domain B C D

Now im based in domain B and I installed Windows Server 2012 R2 Remote Desktop (otherwise known as Terminal Server)

Everything works fine and dandy except... DYMO!

(for the record, I hate printers)

Now for the test I installed a dymo on my local pc via the usb port allows you to print correctly. I can also share my usb printer on the network, the Server RDP and print my bar codes all very well! (had to disable printing easy in Group Policy)

The problem I have is when the person connects on the RDWeb portal, click on the app and goes to print, he will see my dymo printer, for example TestprinterDYMO123 (great TS009)

    But it prints nothing, nothing...

Why it print a RDP session but not a Remote Desktop application session?

  • Disabling RDP to the server 2012 iPad

I Win Server 2012 Standard with gateway desktop remotely installed, configured and works perfectly. However, it seems that the security certificate is worthless for an iPad or Android user. I can successfully remote on the server and all workstations on the network from my iPad with no problems - and there is no security certificate installed on my iPad. Doesn't seem very 'secure' for me. How I can solve this problem (assuming that it is still possible) so that no ONE can remote in without the property security certificate installed? I note that when accessing remote from a windows machine, it doesn't let me connect if I do not have the certificate installed, and there is not a derivation device type. However, with my iPad, I can bypass the need for a certificate, and I don't want that. I suspect it's a kind of change I need to make in IIS. Thanks for anyone who can help.
