  I think you're a little confused... IEEE 1394 doesn't have to do with wireless.

  Since you don't mention what processor you have in your laptop, I leave to you to decide whether or not is of value in upgrading to the maximum supported processor (i7 - 620 M).

  You can expect to pay at least a few hundred dollars or more to have a shop change the processor for you.

  You have a question. I have a laptop HP 2000-2b19wm. I bought this system. It came with Windows 8. After I got it I have completely got rid of Windows 8 and IMHO set level to Windows 7 Ultimate. I deleted all partitions and let 7 configure the hard disk the way he wanted, got the drivers and so on and so forth. (not worried about security, I can handel most hardware repairs and software patches).

  I looked to see if there was a new BIOS available and there was, however, I also noticed that there are two things called environment support UEFI HP and HP Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) Support environment. I know they have to with the Diagnostics and recovery of a bad BIOS flash.

  The question is this. Install HP UEFI Support Environment or environment Support HP Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI)?

  Thank you for your query.

  UEFI is preinstalled on your laptop.  It does not reside on the hard drive, so when you have formatted and installed Windows 7, it should not affect it.

  No, this is not possible.
  Laptop technology is different from the technology of desktop PC and therefore updates such as CPU or GPU are not easy or not possible.

  Especially the GPU (graphics chip) is soldered on the motherboard and the branch as a whole must be replaced if the chip of damages for example.

  If you n t want to miss the graphic performance, either you are going to buy a new laptop (desktop PC) with a stronger graphics card or you will switch to an external graphics card.
  But in my opinion this is no logic to use an external graphics card.

  I have problems with one of my programs.  I am trying to program an instrument that came with an example program which is an extensible iterative cycle.  There are three steps in it (0,1,2). The way I understand it is step 0 runs, and when you're done, it goes in step 1.  If step 1 is unsuccessful, step 1 is repeated until it is successful.  Once successful, he will go to step 2.  When step 2 ends, he goes back to step 0 and repeats.  All this just for 1 measure of each cycle.  I want this program only take a single measure, then stop.  I don't want to repeat.  At first I thought it would be really simple, but I played with the program for hours and did not understand how to do the program works without repeating the cycle.  I was hoping that someone could look at the example program and help me with this.  The program is in the attached files

  Since you mention that you want to expand, I'd be more inclined to set a dashboard containing the port number, the type of instrument and the status of the instrument. When you search for your instruments you want to iterate over the array. You can use an ini file to determine which instruments must be present in the system. Others may be optional, and their associated actions could be ignored if necessary. However, the main point I'm trying to do is to combine your status with your instrument information table. This way, you eliminate the possibility of a mistake trying to keep and table and a synchronized cluster. A table makes it also much easier add or remove instruments from your system.

  A few other notes, if you check in a stop condition then stop. Don't simply continue the execution of each iteration of the loop with a business structure that will jump execution if the stop consifition is encountered. Simply stop. Imagine if you had 1000 items in your instrument cluster/table. Using your method always run you your loop 1000 times, even if the shutdown occurred during the first iteration. Eliminate duplication of code and logic twisted to combat it. You have two places incentive th euser, if they want to start or stop. You must have a place to make this code. Much easier to understand and maintain. Don't expand your code easily either because the hard-coded error strings. Your case statement will become very large if you generate your static error strings. Use a loop and a format common you build your missing channel of the instrument. If you use the table on the groups of instruments, I suggested that you will be able to format the string using the type of instrument. I'd be much more inclined to use a single notification utility that will be supported as well cancel and stop messages. It changes a lot better when you have additional message types rather than use a notification for each type of message.

• Aspire V3-371 Touchpad freeze

  I have an Aspire new V3-371-596F.  Since it first started, I had problems with the touchpad freeze randomly.  The sroll two fingers is reversed, and I can't access all the settings to change the direction, either.  I downloaded the Synaptics driver on the Acer site, but Windows will not let me install the driver for the touchpad.

  When I go into the Manager of peripherals-> mouse and other pointing devices, one device listed there: HID-compliant mouse.  He said that the manufacturer is Microsoft and not Synaptics.  When I try to update driver, I select the synaptic downloaded driver it says the best driver for my device is already installed.

  How do you tell the computer on which it has not installed Microsoft mouse so I can use the right Synaptics driver?

  Edit: I should also mention that a Synaptics HID device appears in the device-> Human Interface Devices Manager.  However, windows does not seem to recognize that this device is the mouse.

  You can try one thing, install a vanilla windows 8.1 downloaded from Microsoft, install with AHCI and UEFI BIOS, check to see if it boots.

  If this is not the case, if your system must be set to RAID and you have nothing else to try.

• R7 - 371 T Windows 10 Synaptics driver gives beeps

  Due to some problems after the 10 WIndows Home upgrade I did a clean install of Windows 10 on my R7 - 371 T. Everything works perfectly except for the touchpad. It works but every now and then it seems to be laggy and present me with beeps. Especially just after startup (probably due to a lot of things happening at the same time, causing the lag). Not the beeps BIOS, but through the normal channels of audio. If I cut the sound, tones are not heard. Are there more this question and have ideas to get rid of it?

  10 Windows clean install is completely drained the hard drive, all settings by default and after installation, I installed every update of such pilot offered by Acer.

  Can not be 100%, but I chnaged a few things last night and until then.
