R8000 FW 1.0.3.4

http://www.downloads.NETGEAR.com/files/GDC/R8000/R8000-v1.0.3.4_1.1.2.zip

It seems that Netgear have in fact abandoned the R8000, while they always seem to support the R7000! Disgusted, I guess the next step is Asus.

The question of the IP6 is a joke!

  • R8000 2.4 Ghz 5 GHz super fast very slow connection

    Hello

    I have a 1.0.3.4_1.1.2 R8000 completely up to date.
The 2.4 Ghz band works to 600Mbps (depending on the Advanced menu of netgear). I noticed on my wifi device would not losd fast Web page download, would not check emails correctly, so I tried the speedtest application when it is connected to the 2.4 GHz band and to my surprise it connected 0, 5Mbps and 0.7Mbps during the download. On the same machine, I switch back to the 5 GHz band and it connected. 389Mbps Putting back on 2.4 Ghz spoeds awful (0.5 to 0.9 download, 0, 7-1 post Mbit/s).
The wifi device was 5 feet from the R8000.
What is going on? Any suggestions?

Quick update, I got a 6400 Netgear (AC1750) for $ 120 at Bestbuy, replaced the R8000 and all my devices on the 2.4 Ghz WiFi are scoring better than before and in the administration page of my router GUI it shows 450Mbps. The results are similar on the 5 GHz WiFi network.

Conclusion, the R8000 could be an excellent camera, is unfortunately too bug and the firmware is not stable enough.

If you have more then 12 people streaming at the same time in your 5 GHz range, forget triband routers, opt for the dual band (AC1750 or AC1900), they are less expensive and most of the time offers the same flow standard device WiFi - most band of 2.4 Ghz support works better and more stable!

  • R8000 losing speed

Lose speed between the modem and the router. Internet "extreme" TWC who is 30mbps and router has been deliver 22mbps both ethernet and Wi - Fi direct ethernet while the modem had shown on 40mbps. Upgrade to 'ultimate' internet which is 50mbps and always get the same output from the router, cannot get more than 22mbps. Direct modem Ethernet shows 62mbps. Have updated firmware Nighthawk R8000 and modified without changing the performance channels. The distance between the router is less than 20 feet. Any ideas?.

In Terminal 3 I gave you a suggestion to follow, you have to first solve the wired problem. Reset to default values and test, same problem contact the technical support.

Reset to the default values is done by pressing reset util power led flashes, check the manual if in doubt always of this process.

  • Common Nighthawk America X 6 R8000 shows that 1 SSID

Earlier this morning there was 3 SSID, the 2.4 GHz and the two 5 GHz SSID. After returning to the House, I noticed the SSID was missing from my connections available and I had to reset my router. Now after resetting my router, it displays only 1 SSID. For the 5 GHz are on, I have the latest Firmware, I also went through several resets as an attempt to solve this problem. The router settings are verified in order to broadcast two SSIDS of 5 GHz and also the wireless radio is enabled. However they still do not appear on the list of connections

I just bought a new Netgear router X 6 R8000 and are worked. Looks like my previous was broken or something. Current works perfectly well.

  • Nighthawk R8000 - problems of Port - frustrated to a task as simple forwarding

Talk about wasting time for a simple task like Port forwarding:

Goal: Establish an external absolutely Minecraft Server

    Equipment:

-MC Server: Mac Mini (current run successfully) Firewall works not

    -NH R8000 router

-SB6141 Modem (modem is a straight passthrough; no FW)

    -TWC Internet service

Created the Service customized according to the router:

-Port forward internal port 25565 against the servers IP address 192.168.1.X

    Accessible "few" network.

Canyouseeme.org does not see as open port

    Test:

-Server connected directly to the Modem

-Port found as open; Successful connected externally to the MC Server

-Validation that TWC is NOT blocking this port

Fell network and still no luck.

Has been the latest firmware. but seen a post from someone at NG who suggested to someone else to downgrade. Did to v 1.0.2.46_1.0.97

    -Results: No chance

Also tried to adjust the filtering NAT to open

So in addition to getting rid of this router. What to do next?

    RESOLVED:

-One more piece of hardware that is not listed. Vonage modem. The Installer did after the modem but before the router. This affected the external IP and more that probably caused the blocked port.

S ' installed behind the router and the port is working now.

-Just need to finalize the Vonage settings change, but it is secondary to get the MC server running. : 0

  • info on the new R8500 or r8000

These new routers still have problems with ipv6?

I can't speak for the R8500 personally, but the answer is Yes for the R8000 and issues with IPv6. You can assume that the R8500 done as well since they act on the same kernel packages in the source code. I guess that since you ask about these two models, you want a router with two radios. 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz [I do not call tri-band routers Netgear way because a real tri-band router would be 802.11n (2.4 GHz), 802.11ac (5 GHz) and 802.11ad (60 GHz)]

  • Function of syslog r8000 Nighthawk x 6?

    Hi all

I bought a x 6 R8000 Nighthawk (Firmwareversion V1.0.2.44_1.0.96) a few weeks ago. I think it's a very nice camera with plenty of features, you can normally find only in the device for a much higher price...

But I have a problem with a function:

You can only send the log file to an email address. But why?

Is it possible to get through send log files to a server syslog, scp or save to an external drive?

At the moment, I have send the log to a local mail server, but it is of a workaround than a good solution.

Thanks in advance for any helpful comments. :-)

Well I just pulled the trigger on the R7000. Usually, I'm going to the last and largest but it sounds like the R8000 still has some bugs to work and the R7000 more then meets my needs.

    Hi @jrmunn ,

I want to help you get the printer works on the wireless network.

There are a few different ways to install the printer on the wireless network.

    • Thanks to the support WPS.
    • Through the installation, by connecting the USB port, it will configure the wireless.
    • Once the USB installation is done. You can configure the wireless via an Ethernet connection.

    Cycle power to the router.

First, we must restore the defaults on the printer.

Press the OK button on the printer, go to the service, and then select restore default settings.

Print a printer configuration page to make sure that the IP address and SSID are erased.

    Print a Configuration report.

    Uninstall the printer software.

    WPS configuration method:

To connect your printer to your wireless router wireless using WPS:
    (your router must support WPS)

Start the mode of the WPS button on your printer.
Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your router.

Then run a printer from devices and printers Add Wizard.

    The USB method:

Perform a clean boot on the computer and disable the Antivirus software and any analysis in real-time in the Antivirus software also. How to perform a clean boot in Windows.

Then run the installation immediately after connecting the USB cable, follow the steps described in this document to update the drivers so that's not new error. A fatal error during Installation of the software. Then the installation should continue. (you can use this procedure for any type of installation)

If you are still having problems and you have an Ethernet cable, we can install the printer as a USB connection again and then configure the printer via wireless Ethernet.

    Method of Ethernet:

Restore the default settings of the printer.

Connect the printer to the router with an Ethernet cable.
Wait about 1 minute and the printer must have a valid IP address.
Print the configuration page to get the IP address of the printer.
Type the IP address in the address bar of Internet Explorer which should open the printer's built-in web services page.
    Installing wireless over here now.
Click the networking, wireless on the left, fill in information about the network and apply the settings.
After the confirmation, then disconnect the Ethernet cable.
Now you should have a flashing light on the printer in 1 minute wireless about.

Print a printer configuration page, to get the new IPv4 address.

Then create a new port with the new IPv4 address.

In the devices window and printers, click right on the printer and on the left, click on printer properties, select the Ports tab.

Click Add Port, select the Port TCP/IP Standard, then New Port and follow the instructions in the wizard.

Nobody knows what the checkbox "Allow guests to see and access my local network" may be unchecked as it is grayed off the coast.

  • Is it possible to configure SNMP or logging remotely on the R8000?

The stock firmware allows logging of external data?

As a way secret for the program to install/activate SNMP?

Or direct the output of logging to an external server?

Because the viewport of the newspapers little pointless, just doesn't really cut it and go through the journal by email whenever you want to look over is simply absurd.

There is no support SNMP, for one of the Netgear router machine, in stock firmware.

  • R8000 Nighthawk X 6 AC3200 receives only half of internet speed

    Hello guys,.

So here I am with my weird question. My router removes just a half bandwidth (download only) after 24 hours. Let me explain. My ips hit my bandwidth to 200 Mbit/s/30mbps of 20/100. After running several speed tests, I only got 100 / 30. Reset modem and router, finnally back 200/30 but the next day at 100/30... Even with modem/router reset could not get bandwidth back to normal. So I decided to roll back the firmware version for initial and see what I get. Take a look at these photos taken yesterday evening after the cancellation of the firmware:

Thought that I fixed my problem! But tonight... after coming home from work...

No question on a lot of time, I run the speed test, of the same... Even through speedtest.net. Cannot retrieve my bandwidth. If I reset the modem and connect directly to it tho, I get full bandwidth!

Let me give you some details on my router settings:

Firmware: 1.0.0.46 (updated in a moment tho as long as the problem persists)

Off of WMM: I forgot to specify - this fixed the issue the first time a week ago.

    MTU = 1500 (1300-1400-1450 unsuccessully tried)

    The Internet port statistics:

    Anyone with an idea?

    Thanks a lot guys!

replace the cable between the modem and the WAN port on the router SHOULD connect @ 1000 m

don't get me wrong WMM must be enabled for WIFI
