  I have a Dimension 5150 with 3.0 Intel Pentium 4, 1 GB RAM and Intel graphics. I have a Radeon 9800 Pro a 8300 Dim now deceased and want to install it in the Dim 5150. I have two questions:

  1 - is the 9800 Pro compatible with the Dim 5150? (I guess it is) and

  2. are there instructions somewhere on how to install it?

  I guess the 9800 Pro AGP, so it is not compatible. It is also prehistoric and likely much slower a 6450 budget.

  In my laptop Satellite P30 my ATI video card sometimes doesn't cooperate very well using the pc: the result is a blue screen with the message: the file ati3duag.dll creates a problem with your hardware.

Have found no error with disk utility, the error just before and after the combo update, the PRAM resetting has not helped, no other problems with the machine. Have deleted files pref, checked with preferential treatment - no problem. All necessessary fonts are here. I don't have disk Warrior. The facility is clean, zero of installed additional programs. Does anyone know what I can do? If I could access the system from the terminal prefs I could live with it. Thank you very much!

  I have recently returned to the country, after about 3 years and booted up my desktop PC.  of course, updates were needed to play games and others.  However, after that I updated my drivers, I couldn't load any program requiring 3D acceleration.  When I checked DirectX Diagnostic, I got the dreaded "Direct 3d feature is not available.  You should check that the driver is a final version of the hardware manucfacturer. "I use a Sapphire Radeon 9600 Pro (128 MB), and I have the latest drivers for my chipset/MoBo drivers that Ali and directX.  I even updated my Bios!  I contacted AMD and was only told to update everything.  So yes... now I'm here... Please help!

  Notice that it goes all the way back to nVidia TNT and ATI Rage 128. I had both machines at the time... some of the AMP first slot cards, IIRC. So proud of them because they were top-of-the-line at the time.

  I have an iMac mid-2007 with an ATI Radeon 2600 Pro. The system has been great! Unfortunately, yesterday I thought he was asleep, but it is a black screen

  I did everything I could find online - command/option/r/p...power off the power, unplug, hold down the power button / stop, etc... multiple times. It starts up, it works very well - until the screen

  becomes black. Watch a movie, I can still hear in market, so the rest of the system seems fine.

  At the moment I took the HD on the 24 "and put it in this 20" I hit now. This seems to be a pretty solid solution and confirms - until now - it's a hardware problem.

  In this iMac 20 ", I have an ATI Radeon 2400 with 128 MB and it seems quite acceptable. But - I'd rather have my 24 "operational.

  So, can I place this ATI 2400 since early 2008 20 "iMac on my iMac 24 mid-2007"? And, if applicable, any really good vids how? Laughing out loud

  I ask because I've got the 24 "outside, a mother/logic, totally disconnected map with the exception of a single cable that I'm not 100% sure how it disconnects (if you encounter in the system is in the lower right section under the logic board and seems to be connected with a certain type of black cloth glued and I hesitated to yank/cut/pull!).

  I have a p30 with an ati mobility radeon 9600/9700 card graphics. ATI have updated the drivers and software for the control of catalyst system but I'm unable to install these and have contacted ati - they assured me that they are the right drivers and said that toshiba should support these catalyst drivers. the latest drivers for it are always the old ati drivers 2004 is no more supported by ati.

  It is a good graphics card and I would like to use the right drivers for it-someone ' a has any ideas.
  I tried installing on both the edition xp for my xpmachine and the new vista for my beta vista drivers.
  the version of catalyst, that I'm getting is 6.6 although I tried everything from all previous versions.

  Toshiba does not usually keeps his notebook graphics drivers up-to-date, so I chose to use the ATI drivers catalyst from the Omega to my SA30 site. I used themn now for nearly 12 months without problems or adverse effects on my laptop.

  I have read several forums and messages that are concerned about this practice (overheating of the graphics chips etc.) but who can honestly say that I had all these questions so far.

• P.Pro 1.5 - quality lost in AVI/MPEG to DVD conversion

  Is my first time in the Adobe forums and my English is definitely not the best, so apologize for something I'll eventually do wrong :-)

  This is my problem:
  I have change a large number of videos (parties, weddings, karting,...) of Mini-DV tapes. No problem on the editing work, or export to AVI or MPEG format. And at this point (after export) I don't think that I had lost a quality video or if had that would be slight. But when I finish the next step (to convert the file to DVD format) I realize that the video suffers from a substantial quality lost, mainly a distortion on the white (they get much more bright and, of course, lose a part of its texture). Not always, is also a kind of yellow and Red thin lines on 'objects' shape (mainly on human faces).

  Initially I thought noting on the creation and all about the conversion of AVI/MPEG to DVD because that's when the problem occurs, but after I had experienced all kinds of conversion software and the problem runs hourly (sometimes more, sometimes less), I'm thinking maybe the problem in the first export of parameters.

  So here's my first export of parameters:

  I also thought that the problem could be on the material, but a few months ago, I did an update on my computer and changed CPU, motherboard, RAM and graphics card (had an AMD Sempron 2800 +, 2 GB DDR and an ATI 9600 Pro 128 MB) and the problem still remains...

  I love all the time CPU will spend for the task - before the upgrade it tooks aprox. 5 hours to convert a video and now it tooks only 1h30m :-). What is really important is to get as much quality DVD video may be possible. Can you help me?
