• help with bios/ram

  Hi all

  the story is as follows:

  I have a HP a1555a desktop computer. If it was repaired by HP, they replaced the motherboard. Twice in fact, first replacement was defective also.

  Now when I go into the bios it says the following: revision of the Bios: 3.24 18/01/07

  Basic verion: 08.00.12

  Model number: (nothing - blank)

  Product number: Asteropi

  Build IDS: NULL

  before you have my correct model number, product ID numbers and build now. Also, I can not use hp update because it does not recognize the model as HP.

  The above is without real drama, except that I put in an additional stick of RAM and he does not notice the second Bank. It only recognizes the first bank or ram, which was installed by hp. In the bios it's all gray and I seem to think that it is a bios issue that caused the above questions.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated, and yes my ram is ok.

  Is it possible to erase the bios completely? and start again.

  Try to take the CMOS battery, clear the CMOS jumpers on your motherboard, and finally try retting your BIOS settings in the BIOS.

  I'm working on (very) slowly upgrading to an old HP desktop to a gaming PC, I have almost everything except the CPU, motherboard and Ram scrapped.

  I have it transplanted into the NZXT S340, and it has been working fine since.

  When playing games, specifically Arma 3 there have been few crashes related to memory, and I believe the horribly slow 4 GB of installed RAM is a failure and even if it isn't, which I doubt, it retains all the other components, it is constantly in maxed out and what I do I am in desperate need of an upgrade.

  So I was looking around for memory that would be compatible with the MS-7613 (Iona-GL8E), I struggled to find a lot of information but this page: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02014355 , who said the specs of ram max I could hae is 1333 mhz/16gbs in 4x4g sticks. I went out hunting and found this: http://cplonline.com.au/corsair-8gb-2x4g-cmv8gx3m2a1333c9-ddr3-1333mhz-memory.html that looks as if it would fit perfectly, and I would be able to keep when I update the strong mother/memory card because it is 1333 mhz and most motherboards support, however I have some concerns:

  -As the motherboard is old, the rest of the information is not the best, and I'm worried, it won't be compatible.

  -Use Speccy Piriforms, it says that I have currently 866 mhz (I think, I just reformat and have not installed) Ram installed, however, the document shows the speed minimum is 1066, what worries me.

  Is there any ram that is specifically designed to work with this motherboard, or who is confirmed to work in Australia? If possible I would like to work with motherboards more recent when I update the current material.

  Unfortunately I can't get a product name, I lost when I transplanted it and I can't find the software that tells you... Regret that, although I don't know that I am currently running an i7 870 2.93 ghz, 4gbs of ram Samsung and the above motherboard.

  Never mind.  I found a bit of HP pavilion PC desktop that comes with the same motherboard.

  It seems that the upgrade, it will be quite inexpensive. You can improve it to 16 GB for about $85.00 USD. That will make your pretty sweet game.

  Hello I have a model of HP Pavilion n208tx with one slot containing 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3L SDRAM.

  I am the need for India to upgrade my system to 12 GB total RAM. Since I'm totally new to this sort of thing I need help regarding this.

  No problem going in for 12 GB if you want to. But as I mentioned two identical RAMs have its own advantages.
  
  Both the RAM you mentioned in the previous post seems consistent. Check if there are 8 schools of black memory on the RAM (physically) - chip look at their pictures. Some have 4 banks of memory even if the configuration of the RAM you need may be the same - they work sometimes in some HP laptops (from various feedback in this forum).

• Tecra 9100 - help to choose RAM

  It comes to earlier put that on for some reason any got locked and marked "assumed answered", when in fact it wasn't.

  Eldorado reported me to the answer of Markus77. Thank you, but Markus77 or Eldorado say they tried the modules that listed there and actually pushed them to work in a Tecra 9100. The link in the response of Markus77 only points to one of the many similar provider sites I've seen, who say that the 2x512MB modules are supported. The point is, Lewislite had tried about 5 different brands/replacements and none of them were all-purpose, that they either slow his system or it could not start at all.

  I asked, because I want to upgrade my current 512 MB too, if someone had actually he managed successfully on a Tecra 9100, or if it is one of those rare instances of a model with a motherboard that is insufficient to hold over the limit prescribed by the manufacturer, which for the 9100 by Toshiba 512 MB of cache. Maybe because most of the laptops will accept 2x512MB, suppliers assume just the 9100 will do too and so offer them to anyone willing to buy them. But has anyone actually done and got to work?

  The fact that Toshiba are 512 MB modules is not in itself a response, because they could be directed to other models. The fact remains that Toshiba say the maximum the 9100 is 512 MB, and Lewislite tried 5 different modules to try to go beyond that and found that none of them would be.

  Then, everybody in fact successful to do a better job Tecra 9100 with more than 512 MB or have memory suppliers are mistaken for this model?

  It shows that Kingston 512 MB KTT3614/512 RAM is compatible. I am assuming that you can run Modules 2 x 512 MB.

  Make sure you use PC2100 DDR memory. PC2700 should work, but there may be a compatibility issue.

  I had a Vista 32 bit SP1 L305.

  It came with 2 GB memory DDR2 6400 (two sticks of 1 GB). I have upgraded to 4 GB using two sticks of 2B) is there something else I should do to get the win to use additional memory.

  I've seen many debates about 32-bit processes only between 3 and 3.5 GB total. I'm not worried about it. My system is always only using the factory to 2 GB. I went into the BIOS. However I see nothing importantthat I can change. I'm confussed. Where is the clock speeds up memory allocations etc.

  Y at - there a trick to this or have I just blush $$$ in the toilet.

  Did you buy compatible RAM modules?

  You will need remove the battery then remove the service on the bottom panel.  You can see the parts illustrated in the manual posted above.  Let me know if you need anything that anyone else.

  These views are used for 3D to show the different perspectives and views spelling of a 3D scene. When they have no use in 2D. If you clicked on the option to display 2 views or more they will appear unless you change it back manually. even when you reset your workspace, they will appear - so I understand why this can be confusing.

  If you had something but the 645 GTX, GTX 745 or GTX 750 ti, you 330w POWER supply. The PSU is determined by what GPU, you, you no what revision. If you want to upgrade to the GTX 960 (the one you accessed is good), you must supply 330w (what I describe as a big black brick with an oval green LED). You probably have the 240w.

  Most desktop DDR3 RAM should work with the X 51. Some will not be because they do not match (heat sink (?) too thick and rounded).

  Is your computer slow?

  Have you downloaded games or applications that use a lot of memory?

  Are - what you got to update the RAM at all?

  Do you have only a chip in your laptop?

  If this isn't the case, have you tried to remove one of the RAMs, from your PC and see how much that says they are?

  I did some research for you and found that this is not abnormal. Of course, the process in the background, the operating system, the behind the scenes things generally use memory to make sure that you use Notepad with ease. Although it is not affiliated with HP, I found an article that explains the differences betweengood and bad use of RAM /.

  If your laptop computer experiencing slow system performance problems, here is a document from HP called solve system performance (Windows 8). You can use this document to go through the troubleshooting steps to help eliminate some of the problems of memory.

  Here is another document, that you can use to test memory. This document is called laptops HP - Test memory tests memory with BIOS.

• Vs CPU Ram graphic card upgrade for Mac pro performance?

  Just after the crossroads to aboard the cloud to Adobe and seeks help on CPU Ram vs graphics card GPU.

  Material:

  • MAC Pro (early 2009) 4.1 2.26 Ghzdual core 8, 23 grams (5 x 4 g sticks and sticks of 3 x 1 G), 4 x 1 TB 7200 RPM int. HD (1 scratch drive), (no windows don't things here)
  • Graphics card Ge Force GT120 Machine has 64-bit capability, but normally starts in 32- bit due to old still used 32-bit apps.
  • Watch CS6 AE activity monitor uses all 16 son, works in 64 bitsand seizes about 10 Gig of ram to operate in.

  Software:

  • Running OS x 10.6.8. (Snow leopard) with all updates.
  • All major video applications: creative cloud (also have studio FCP 3 installed but just move to Adobe now on video works)

  I really like this AE & body use all threads, made in the background (which results in NO crashes (so far)) because my old 120 GT video card apparently is more stifling that it worked in FX in FCP 7 & 4 Motion.

  1. Q - can someone point me in the direction of how Adobe got the device to use all the cores and threads and run it in 64-bit, but starts in 32 bit?

  In terms of performance, (rendered in particular) I know I should go to the Apple/ATI 5870 graphics card, but as a veterinarian of fixed-income securities disabled, $450 is hard to find. I evaluated cards flashes, including those of macvidcards on ebay, but for used cards which are flashed, it gives me pause, especially when they are about the same price as the new price of 5870.

  So I am struggling with trying to figure out that the best shot for the less $$$, where the issue of the title.

  1. Is it more effective for video FX works to add CPU ram or (gulp) to upgrade the video card to 5870 card?

  Example: I can add sticks of 3 x 4 G in place and place existing 3 x 1 G sticks of ram for less than $200 CPU. A new 5870 card is $ 450 Apple. Approach that annoys me that most make speed plant put VFX work in AE CS6 or P Pro CS6?

  For After Effects, more RAM is better. For Premiere Pro, an improved GPU is more important. In addition, you might consider spending money even on an SSD, which is beneficial for both (for caches).

• I lost tabs using tab for the first time groups

  I got a lot of tabs open, so I decided to try to use groups of tabs. As explained in the help, I was first introduced with a single group with all my open in tabs. I then dragged a tab to a group according to the instructions. I was asked to name this new group and I did but I found myself with only this group and its single member and nothing else. The rest had disappeared and I can't find them anywhere.

  The current versions of Firefox do not have the sessionstore.js in the profile folder while Firefox is running, but were rather a file recovery.js in the folder sessionstore-backups.
  The sessionstore.js file should appear once you close Firefox.

  Session data is always stored in sessionstore.js file in the profile folder.
  The file sessionstore.bak is no longer used and has been replaced by the recovery and previous files you will find in the sessionstore-backups folder.

  You can check for previous versions of files in its properties using the context menu.

• problems with tecra A2

  My tecra a2 crashes sometimes. The screen turns blue, and he said "beginning dump of physical memory. There is no consistency in what I do when this happens.   OK, that first of all, the problem occurred while you were playing a game, it is very likely related to your video card.

  Visit the Web site of the manufacturer for a driver update. If that doesn't help, check your RAM.
