rc windows ultimate Windows auto updates and blocks

I had a protection of windows 7 rc on my laptop and somehow my upgrade windows updated my system to windows 7 ultimate and my phone locked on me, with the exception of safe mode.  A message at the bottom of my descktop said wous
Windows 7 ultimate is not authentic.  What can I do?

What version of Windows 7 you are running, 7100? Try to start safe mode and do a system restore. Start in normal mode and try to disable the update of in the Windows Update control panel that triggers the notification of activation. Set to automatic update ran all night. No sound afterwards. I uninstalled the driver realtek audio, downloaded the driver and reinstalled, updated the driver through Device Manager, run 2 windows related to the sound, his fix and still nothing. Device Manager indicates that the device is functioning properly. I can adjust the volume, but it makes no difference.  I have no alerts related to sound, no red x, no yellow triangles, just NO SOUND!

    Hello

And go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/notebook > looking for drivers and downloads Section > equip your laptop computer model number > find your operating system > download and install the drivers etc you will find Audio.

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Microsoft gives sometimes you updates for the 3rd party hardware: graphics, network cards, etc.

You should only get the latest drivers for them to real hardware manufacturer's website, as Microsoft normally does nor those have the most recent drivers available as Microsoft relies of the 3rd party hardware Manufactuer to provide.

But unfortunately, the only way to know which is the update of the problem is to install them one by one, until you find the 'wrong' for your installation.

You can do a system restore to get back until it has been installed (which is NOT the best way to remove an update) or follow this method:

    'Remove an update'

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/remove-an-update

When you have found the issue of update of the list of updates which is presented > then right click on the update problem > select Hide update > and it will not be available to you once again

    Or the other of these two update settings will give you the chance to see what you want to install through Windows updates;

Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Windows will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.

Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need, or those who have little access to the Internet.

But remember you normally only have problems with hardware 3rd party drivers. Other updates are to improve the Performance and security of your system

    See you soon.

  • How to stop windows auto update 8.1?

Good so today I opened my computer and a message poped upwards and told me that windows 8.1 would be updated in a single day. I already had windows 8.1 front and I hated it! It slowed my computer down way, and nothing has worked. I couldn't install most of my drivers I needed because they were not compatible with 8.1. Most of the time when I looked for something in my menu start it took about 30 seconds for the first word to show. FPS game has also declined. I know that windows 8.1 is * and it does not work on my computer because I already installed it twice and both times I had to copy all my computer and reset it to factory settings and copy everything back and who took nearly a week for the copy of things. Now I have twice as many things and I don't want to copy all my computer and restart it copies any return which will take several days and I need my computer for school. I won't be forced to install 8.1 and it won't let me cancel the update, so in a day or next time I reboot I get Microsofts worst OS on my computer and I'm not going to tolerate that. Microsoft also do not ask me for more details on what are my issues with 8.1, because they are extremely useless because you tell me things as clean my computer but that helps forever and you already tried to tell me to clean my computer several times and its just useless. So is useful or let a member of the community help me and stay calm!

I don't know how useful my advice will be, but I'll tell what I did and what has spent so far, just in case it is helpful at all.

As described by everyone, today (October 21) MS. instead of sending the usual applications annoying to update, said he was ready to install 8.1 and requested I do so soon.

"He asked several times in one morning, the first bidder to let me"install later"without a specific time mentioned, but the last time he only gave me options"Now""1 h"2 h" and 4 'h' of 'now '.

Needless to say that I was impressed, so I tried to kill the task, with the old ctrl-alt-delete.

No, I'm sure that surprising, defective, because this new update task apparently had precedence over such an action of the user, and would not go away.

So without selecting an option, I hit reset and restarted to buy some time.

To restart, I went in airplane mode (hoping to suppress his ability to communicate with the update servers and therefore not encourage to restart his annoying behavior.

Then I went in my task scheduler and noticed the task to 8.1 day and the related, pursuing the task to update my system.

I killed both of them: but it was not a permanent solution with all that installed it's still out there.

So I tried to find the root of the problem: I looked back through updates.

The only windows update recently which had everything related to the modernization of the system that I had noticed was KB2952664. This little guy had no other apparent use only for "help" upgrade in the future. "

    So I uninstalled immediately.

I also noticed that the task above upgrade called a .exe file, called

    C:\$Windows.~BT\Sources\SetupHost.exe

It's dangerous, I know, but I have renamed it specifically this file "SetupHost.bak", so there is no way it works again without having to reinstall or at least until I know it's course.

O, and I have disabled, of course, auto-updates of all kinds of Ms.

It has been 2 hours so far, and I am attached to the internet well.

Let's see if we can keep this job.

One last comment, however. If this small task I uninstalled was the source of this:

    (1) sneaky sneaky, sly, placing through especially on a time delay, so we do not know what was causing the problem until it was too late.

    (2) how all the flavors of the miserable did they prevent the end user to have his say.

The ironic part is that I already earn 8.1 on my other machines, but this machine was fine with 8, and that's how I intend to stay. Ramming things through on users like really disappoints me.

Microsoft - I think I speak for many of us complain about this patch.

    Stop treating us like children.

Even if we make the wrong decisions, they aren't OUR decisions, your.

I prefer to be well informed and make my own decisions, even if I make a mess of things, that is in the dark and make things "for my own good."

And informing me to make my own decision is not the same as tell me you want to do while you're doing it without worrying.

  • I have many windows security updates and are now too much room. Is there a program that will reduce the amount of space being taken up?

I want to free memory space and have years of security updates to windows of the pak series 3 services. Is there a way to free up space or I will damage the operating system?

There are a number of things you can do to- temporarily - free up disk space.  The only real solution, however, is to get a bigger internal hard drive.   You can move the data to an external drive, but if it's the data that you use frequently, slower access times may annoy you.  Therefore, I do not recommend that you move your My Documents folder in its entirety on an external drive, but you can certainly do this by following the related instructions.

    • You can run Disk Cleanup (start > run > cleanmgr > OK)
    • You can reduce the size allocated for the restoration of the system to about 1 GB (right click on desktop > properties > system restore > settings)
    • You can disable hibernation (if you don't use it) (right click on an empty spot on the desktop > properties > screen saver > power > Hibernate)
    • You can disable the indexing of the drive, which will also speed up your computer a bit (http://lifehacker.com/031440/turn-off-indexing-and-speed-up-windows-xp)
    • You can reduce the size of your Internet browser cache (depending on the browser that you use)
    • You can remove most of the $NTUninstallKBxxxxxx files $ following the directions here: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/Hotfix_backup.htm (read the warnings in the gray box first)
    • See also:

" How to recover disk space on Windows Server 2008 and Windows XP computers? ."

" Forty ways to free disk space ."

But none of these answers you will earn really large amounts of space for very long.  The term solution time is a bigger hard drive.

In the meantime, download and run JDiskReport, that will show you graphically what files take up more space and seem to so indicate what files you must move it to your external drive.  If you want to move an application on an external drive, you will need to uninstall and then reinstall it specifying your external drive as the installation location (and even then, it is likely going to install some files on your main system drive).  You can not simply move the files.

  • Windows Live Update and now GTA IV do not load.

Whenever I try to load either from the desktop computer, or directly to the release of the album I just get the message saying that GTA IV has stopped working, no other information. Don't have the two disks in this House at the moment so if there is a way to fix without having to do a reinstall, which would be very convenient. I use Vista but do not know if this is the problem as it worked fine before the update.

Method 1: Put the computer to boot and check if that helps:

Note: after a repair, be sure to configure the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

  • From a Windows 'auto update', I can't connect to my wireless router more? Any ideas?

Automatic update has occurred about 7 days ago, and since my laptop restarts then it does not connect to my router Sagem "sky provided. I spent 40 minutes on the phone with technical sky earlier and tried loads of things, but without success. The result was that the laptop and the router were in communication but not allow me to use it effectively. But with the ethernet connected, all right? When I checked "what update" it seems above all to do with "Windows defender" - so I deactivated it and no change. Tried a 'system restore' but for some reason, the only points, he's going to give me are only 2 days ago and the update was on 27 February so that they are of no use. I'm stuck, I left mouth gaping sky and don't know what I can do. Can someone please help? !!

Last night my previously genuine Windows 7 update, this morning, it prompted me to enter my product key code.  Of course, I don't know where this piece of paper is gone.  I tried to go back to a previous one except point (and uninstallation of the update).  But always required the key code.  Help!  I'm not ready to move to Windows 10 again.

When you upgrade, what will happen is that (your PC) hardware will get a digital right, a unique signature of the computer which is stored on the Microsoft Activation servers. Genuine Windows 7 Professional license will be exchanged with a key to the diagnosis.

Whenever you need to reinstall Windows 10 on this machine, go just to reinstall Windows 10. It automatically reactivates.

Give it a few days and it will activate automatically.
